The light is at the end of the tunnel. The light is shining bright because of love. The love is the answer to the darkness + the remedy for the experience which might bring unclearness and letting drown in the metaphorical swamp which every single human has felt during the journey they are on. The EP by the Switzerland based mastermind Dan Piu is dedicated to the love and to the love only. The tracks that were produced from the artist’s creative inflow are from the year 1995 to our present days and are telling the story of hope and compassion. Starting from A side we have a demonstrative rollercoaster which is ‘Selfish War Machine’ gracing before the ‘Made in Japan’ which is inspired by the early arcade machines and the ethos they were bringing with them. Side B starts with seductive house number straight up from the year 1995, followed by Robotic tool ‘Robota’ and finishing off on the perfect and soul caressing track going by the name ‘Equinox of Ceres’. This precise body of work which has found its home with Sakskøbing is pure and direct message of love, in a way when things are seem bleak the light can be sparked again. The answer how this spark gets obtained is the four-letter word which is mentioned frequently in this text. More

Hypnophobia is the bleep fueled beginning to a six release series from Dan Piu on Terrestrial Funk. Recorded from 1993 to 2021, the 27 tracks pose a reflection on the relativity of time. Exploring our connection between then and now, all that came before, and what is still to come. Each release will be accompanied by a foldout poster featuring oil paintings of city skylines at different points in time, all painted by Dan Piu himself. We start in present day London. More

Undefined #12 comes from the hand of Dan Piu. Since 1992, Dan has been keeping it versatile by blending different styles of music throughout his career. We are very happy to welcome him to the Undefined family.

His 'Fantasy Juxtaposition' EP resembles exactly what Undefined stands for; versatile and timeless.

On the A side we have a straight up DJ track with a certain techno and bleep flava combined with deep luscious vocals. Aa. gives us an old nu groove kinda beat with naughty 80ies jazz and old school bleepy acid house.

The B side starts with a real old recorded 90ies track, one of Dan's first tracks ever made. A dull love romance evolves from a harmony of batteling synthesizers layered on a break beat groove and fueled with a portion of soul. A mindbending trip. The Bb rounds it off! A track that Dan created back in 1998 together with his friend Gary Rich, Take a walk to a mysterious forest with this uplifting vibe. Black Key return from a four year hiatus in style - with 4 sublime tracks from Australian ultra deep house don Planisphere - aka David Swatten. Following an incredibly well received LP on reissue label For Those That Knoe, Swatten returns with more expansive, smokey and utterly consuming deep house cuts, stamped with his unique sound but offering a different flavour from his Definitive Transmission LP. One which immediately stands out from the crowd. Being only his third release in 20 years, there's an understandable sense of anticipation around Swatten's output. Deep Inspiration Show Records presents a new series showcase of international Deep House connoisseurs, The Various Artist "Global Essence Sampler” Aptly named, each composition on "Global Essence" reflects a distinct mood of Deep House, bringing both authentic flavor & variety to your musical menus.

First up is A1 - Precious Path performed by Allstarr Motomusic (Spain, Greece, Switzerland) aka Dan Piu; a rare yet always top quality project, with appearances on Deep Explorer, deepArtsounds, and Soul Print. Precious Path opens the record with a groovy statement into smooth Garage House seasoned with a little Deep Techno personality.

Next, is Spain’s maestro Barcé (Moto Music, HC Records), making his 2nd appearance on DISR with A2 - Clean That Shit. Of course it’s clean, deep electronic House and it vibes like a nice summer cocktail at night with lime and ice.

Rounding out the first side is A3 - Zahara, composed by Zarenzeit; a more organic project side from Zürich's Dan Piu that can go between 80s funk to House and Jazzy Soul seamlessly. In Zahara we experience the ambient, and early morning sun vibes that are meant to set moods not genres.

On the flip we welcome Japanese producer Jank (Boogie Cafe Records, Quintessentials) to DISR with B1 - What Becomes Of. This Classy composition is Chilled out, perfectly minimal, with sensual vocal samples, and easy on the ears; the DJ who plays this at prime time will definitely get plenty of cheers.

Representing Croatia and South Africa as well as closing out the record is; Jan Kincl (Cycle Records, BBE) featuring Ishfaq & Wolford Heifer with B2 - 3300 Gratiot Ave. Its a classic late night and smoky type of House affair with an almost bluesy vintage feel that is sure to appeal to listeners that know the real deal.

In line with his previous work, the track touches on the space where techno, house and jazz collide. A2. Detroit’s Alton Miller steps up with an ear-catching remix of Daylight. Aside from being there at the dawning of house music, Alton’s subsequent work has secured his status as one of the Motor City’s finest artists. Masterful work on the keys and an infectious groove cast Daylight in a completely new context. B1. The flipside starts with Wolford Heifer, aka Ntshabeng Donald Motseo aka Gary Hattenberger, the Limpopo-born producer now based in Johannesburg. The talent behind the Dirty Analog Records label delivers the curiously-named Odd Socks, a warm and organic deep house track featuring Inner Shift Music’s Brad Peterson on flute and keyboards. B2. Closing the EP are Johannesburg’s Benklawk and Mabutana, also known as Tebogo Skhosana & Buti Messiase. Fast-rising Dutch DJ/producer BELLA becomes the first new artist signing to Sally C’s Big Saldo’s Chunkers imprint, with the inspiring ‘Note to Self’ EP – her debut production.

Relationships are key for Sally C. Since the inception of Big Saldo’s Chunkers in 2020, she’s released three carefully chosen EPs, all from her own studio. When she met BELLA while playing a festival in Amsterdam during summer 2022, the click was instantaneous, with the pair going on to play an impromptu b2b that day. Vibing both musically and energetically, they kept in touch, with BELLA sending Sally her maiden productions ‘Note To Self’ and ‘Orchestra Spring’. Sally connected so deeply with the tracks that they’d form the backbone of her debut artist EP on Big Saldo’s Chunkers.

One listen to the final EP and it’s not hard to see why Sally wanted to emboss them as Chunkers. Three fresh originals taking in influence from ‘90s house, acid, electro and prog, all with a unique hard-to-pin-down energy that makes them hit with a special swing.

The title track – also the first production made for the EP - sees BELLA lay down a sonic blueprint – both for her own sound and the full body of work. “This set the vibe and guided me through the creative process. I was really trying to make something that felt my own, that was also unique and not something I’ve heard before,” she shares. ‘Note to Self’ is heavy on attitude and bounce, driven by banging old skool drums, a rapid-fire grime-style vocal and a duo of synth lines – one uplifting, the other mining a slick ‘80s sheen, and the results are memorable. An absolute tune that Sally’s delighted to add to the Chunker catalogue.

‘Orchestra Spring’ is the perky sequel, a wicked one-two punch of kaleidoscopic groovy house with lashings of attitude that loves to scribble outside the lines with lots of retro samples and trippy energy. ‘Odd Symphony’ completes the trio, a blazing late-night cut driven by a gurgling acid underbelly, gritty drums and warm chords, giving the EP a brilliant afterglow.

Olsvangèr – one of Sally’s favourite producers – steps up for remix duties of ‘Odd Symphony’, and delivers a dynamic re-rub that begins in upbeat house territory, before taking an interlude in perkier rave realms.

She has given me tremendous support and guidance over the last two years, always ready to chat or give me some advice. Following on from the special release of Robert Hood and Femi Kuti's live jazz set "Variations", Robert Hood delivers his latest Techno EP for M-Plant. This is the first new solo music from him since 2022's "Hectic / Amazon Dust" double-header.

Although Robert Hood should need little introduction, with his and his daughter, Lyric's Floorplan moniker riding high with a new album forthcoming on Classic, his Techno legacy should not be forgotten. Throughout the '90s, he helped pave the way for Techno to flourish - giving birth to minimal techno with his seminal album "Minimal Nation". Since then, he has been consistently forwarding electronic music culture with ground-breaking productions, sensational performances and his M-Plant label. His style is characterised by minimalist and experimental tones with an assertive groove.

His "Alpha Key EP" features four driving cuts of characteristically Hood music that prove when it comes to Techno, he's still a high-ranking master. The EP is out on vinyl and digitally 12 April.
