Mattias El Mansouri's second outing on Aniara further expands his undulating minimalism after last year's Tja, Hej, Salam. Sonic waves ripple throughout the atmospheric groover Time Dilation In Ultraviolet on the A-side, while on the flip side a 13 minute trip awaits; a deep, introspective dive into the self and out of the body. More

Aniara white label number four brings exactly that to the floor. Two of Arkajo's most propulsive dance-floor tunes are combined on the A-side. Complemented by Dorisburg and Efraim Kent (a debut on Aniara) on the flip with the darker cut Data Smuggler. More

Dorisburg returns to Aniara with two extended tech-house expeditions. The cavernous groove of Andakt flows into glistening melodies and yearning voices, while Grottloop on the flip side propels itself through layer upon layer of rhythms and echoes. More

The third release on this white label series brings together some key members of the Aniara crew. Bergqvist returns with a magnificently minimalist track: a drum machine, a 303 bassline and resonating arpeggios swirling to the moon and back. Dorisburg follows up with an angular, spiraling beat where the devil is in the sizzling details. Genius of Time close out the record on the flip with another one of their signature organic drum workouts. More

Another new talent on Aniara: the as yet unknown Chefone, with two high-powered house excursions. The trippy sounds of "Storm" on the A-side are complemented on the flip side by the rugged groove and shimmering sci-fi soundscapes of "Hondo". More

Next up on this new hand-stamped series, incognito DJ Marathon takes us into uncharted territory with a trippy techno cut that will go the distance. On the flip side, Ebende returns with another dubbed out groove on the dreamy yet crystal clear Aniara frequency. More

Sweden's finest Kontra-Musik and Aniara Recordings join forces for atmospheric investigations into rhythm and sound More

For their first release, London label Moonworks are reissuing two highly sought-after UK house bombs from Carlos Baker aka Serpico to mark the 30th anniversary of its original 1993 release.

'Just Can't Stop' is a record which fell through the cracks, deemed not commercially viable enough by the major label that Serpico was signed to at the time. Determined to get the music out there, Baker decided to self-release a limited run of blue labelled vinyl. Several big independent labels of the '90s were subsequently interested in putting out the tracks, however it never came to fruition.

Over 30 years this record has aged gracefully, inspiring generations of diggers with its quirky euphoric feel, weighty low-end and intoxicating synthwork becoming a prized possession for some of the biggest names on the scene, with original copies trading hands for £100+. Whether you draw for the ecstasy-inducing Incantation Mix or the acid-infused Orca Space Dub, there’s no denying this is a timeless masterpiece from the UK underground.

Moonworks have worked closely with Serpico to bring this gem back down to earth, restoring the tracks from the original DAT tapes at Gat Decor’s studio, remastering them to modern standards and finally giving this music the official release it deserves. More

The groove boys project are what we can commonly call true soldiers of house music. Since their irruption on the scene in 2015, they have not stopped promoting house, deep house and all its variants (new jersey, dream house, jazzy house ect ...) through their multiple releases and their DJ sets. Their sound is completely analog (one day to see their studio, it's worth it!). This ep was indeed inspired by the Italian scene (which skylax records has always promoted), they are accompanied by Novaj (pioneer in France with his youtube channel dedicated to the most beautiful house songs), producer in his spare time, their association is wreaking havoc. The GBP have already signed several remixes for us (soul of the makossa man) and we are delighted to finally be able to dedicate a release worthy of the name to them. SHDW's label Mutual Rytm rounds out another year with 'Symbiosis' - an excellent split EP from Greek artists ANNE & Sera J, featuring six fresh cuts and four digital bonuses.

The release title comes from the Greek word 'Symbiosis', which means living closely together for a significant period and can be used to speak of a mutually beneficial interaction between individuals. And that is precisely what can be said of ANNE and Sera J, who have grown through life as partners and, more recently, as musical peers. This split EP is their first release alongside one another, and one that presents the story of their innermost feelings, with their full label debut following fine contributions to the label's 'Federation Of Rytm II' compilation back in March.

ANNE has had a busy few years making her mark with potent techno on labels such as Soma, Hardgroove, and Life In Patterns, while Sera J is just as revered for his tunes on the likes of Out Of Place, DifferentSound and more.

ANNE takes the A-side, firstly with the fiery diva vocals and thumping techno drums of 'Heal My Soul' and then the more physical and banging drum programming of 'Turn Back Time'. It's a big, metallic cut with rumbling bass and sleek synths peeling off the groove, while her final track 'Zephyrus' has plenty of infectious bounce and eerie pads to keep dancers on their toes.

On the flip, Sera J kicks off with the electrifying synth stabs and cantering techno power of 'Blue Dancers' and then offers up 'Common People' as twisted leads and slamming drums all run through with alien sound effects and bright stabs. To close, 'Delusion' is a psychedelic cut with roaming leads that bring plenty of cosmic energy to the unrelenting kicks.

In addition, each artist serves up a pair of digital bonuses: ANNE with the hurried funk of 'Serene' and loopy intensity of 'Victor', and Sera J with the liquid, dubby dynamics of the hard-hitting 'Intensity' and monstrous energy of 'Bodies Don't Lie.'

The story of dance music is littered with hidden heroes and underground activists whose immense contributions have been overlooked, ignored and under-documented. Tony Boninsegna, a producer who made and released countless classic cuts and forgotten gems during the acid house and rave era, is one such example.

Melding elements of all that was popular in underground clubs at the time to create his own dancefloor-friendly sound worlds, Boninsegna amassed a huge catalogue between 1986 and '94, while hiding his involvement via an array of oddball aliases and opaque pseudonyms. Boninsegna's story first came to light four years ago when he appeared in Join The Future: Bleep Techno and the Birth of British Bass Music, Matt Anniss's critically acclaimed alternative history of UK dance music in the rave era. Now Cold Blow has joined forces with Musique Pour La Danse to deliver a much-needed anthology of his greatest productions and
co-productions - many rare or hard-to-find - for the first time.

It all adds up to the definitive musical retrospective of a genuine underground, rave-era hero whose time in the spotlight may finally have arrived. More
