Sven Weisemann is set to release his ‘Bilateral Relations’ EP via Copenhagen’s Echocord this September, comprising four originals from the German producer. Sven Weisemann has been immersed in the underground House and Techno scene for quite some time now having started DJing in 1997 during the rise of the scene on his home turf of Berlin and going on to release material via the likes of Amsterdam’s Delsin, Mojuba, Telrae and liebe.detail amongst many more. Here though we see Sven joining the roster of Echocord, a perfect fit for his more dubbed out compositions with artists like Fluxion, Rod Modell and STL on the roster. ‘Lunation’ opens the release and sees Weisemann fuse emotive string melodies and cavernous vocal echoes with off- kilter rhythms and rounded sub hits before title-track ‘Bilateral Relations’ embraces a more direct four-four approach via sparse percussion and tumbling toms alongside choppy bass stabs and ever-unfolding, echoing dub chords. Opening the flip is ‘Monistic’, an airy ethereal number employing billowing pads, bright synth chimes and a dropped tempo dubbed out feel to create something truly stunning and thought provoking before the ‘Decimation (Valvle tR9 Mix) closes things on a darker tip with looming stab swells, heavily swung drums and sporadic growling bass drones. Their remix is an overgrowing wave of sounds that incorporates nice distortion and grows on you till you cannot do without it. We think we do not have to introduce Sven Weisemann, but for all of you who are not familiar with his work... Sven has released on top labels such as Delsin, Smallfish, Echocord, Liebe Detail and maybe the label he is mostly associated with is Mojuba records, which is based in Berlin. His release for Telrae starts with Elapse a track so detached from everything and at the same time so earthly, it gains that mystic touch some trax radiate. It is again a timeless track on Telrae what we think is a quality we strive for. Light Sway seems harder at first but turns out to be more melodic and light than Elapse and so the title fits it just right!

Mojuba is celebrating its 10th birthday in a very special way by releasing the magnificent selftitled debut album by analouge rockers February & Mars. Hailing from the stunningly beautiful west of Ireland, the Galway group's sound is awash with its environment, ranging from the rolling limestone mountains to the wild Atlantic sea. Core members Carl Ramberg and Jack Considine use classic drum machines and vintage synthesisers to carve their music, which is inspired by Detroit, Eno, Guns 'n' Roses and interplanetary love! However, it's their use of more conventional techniques, vocal, guitars, piano etc that give February & Mars their dreamy signature sound, which is forming a hybrid of electronic music, psychedelic rock, indie pop and cosmic disco with an upbringing fostered by house and techno club nights! This unique studio debut album involves no other than John Daly in the co-production role, who also released the group's 3-song debut EP on his own imprint Feel Music. As with every other release on Mojuba, we are confident that great quality music will always find a place in the heart of the open-minded listener & dancer!

Welcoming us into the Dold realm is Loop 1, serving some big room shunts and non-invasive waterfalls of bleeps. And then comes the flip side... Oh the flip side... Here we are launched into a void of hypnotic repetition and mind-bending, deep brain stimulators. In the midst of plangent sonic devices, B1's groove appears more
reserved as quivering synth tones pirouette between labyrinthine, metallic whirrs. Yet, the undulating bass locks our
feet in a pacing, rhythmic spiral. With Loop 3 the mind is allowed to float into abstracted, mystical soundscapes as the body is coaxed into the rumbles of the low ends. B2 closes off the ride with a joyful, dubbed out Detroit funk. Panned arpeggios fill the room with positivity- it will be impossible not to smile.
