Night Tide founder Eluize returns to the label with her follow up to last year's debut release "Talk In Technicolour". Her latest five track sonic trip "For the Forgetful" follows 24 hours searching to be lost, finding comfort in the dance floor, time spent after hours and the day that follows. It seeks out soaring highs and sweeping lows covering all energies.

"Slate" opens. A deep offering, subtle and enthralling. Bright eyed keys, smooth strings, a snare that snaps and a swelling sub alludes to what's to come. The tale continues with "For the Forgetful", a hypnotic, punchy, deep house workout, alluring and sensual it beckons with whispered promises, abyssal toms, twisted pads and intricate percussion.

We go harder on the flip, ruthless, pushing, pulsing "The Blackout" shakes away any last doubt and drives the sojourn into the night along with memories you'll try to retrieve tomorrow. Eluize's take on techno, the bass pumps beneath a grinding acid line, interspersed with echoed bleeps and a cutting lead. The build continues. "Second Valley" is ecstatic. Deep house meets trance-esque undertones, for peak time moments or as the day breaks. Its cinematic soundscape speaks to Eluize's penchant for the theatric as classical instruments twist through synthetic sounds.

We close with "Rest (Refrain)" which brings back themes from the session had in an ambient context, mustering the mood of recovery, waking, confused in the gentle afternoon light, when memories and motifs from the night before linger on the mind in gentler forms.

Introducing Talk in Technicolour, the debut release of cross-continental imprint Night Tide. Produced by label founder Eluize (Emma Sainsbury), the EP features three original tracks that showcase her unique sound. The release is rounded out by remixes from Hans Berg & Seth NK and a trippy spoken word recording discovered while digging in the archives.

'Make Me Sin' swells and flows. It's a rapturous tale awash with cascading musical ideas, hypnotic rhythmic elements and a driving bottom end. This introspective cut combines orchestral instrumentation with breathy vocals from Eluize herself that sing of the lure of things that make us feel good.

'Talk in Technicolor', the title track, is self-explanatory. It's a dreamy and melodic club cut that packs a surprising amount of punch. The vast palette of sounds and fine details give it a cinematic quality not often heard in music aimed at the dance floor. We recommend you close your eyes while listening - let your mind drift and see what soaring colours float into view.

On the B side, 'Up All Night' is a sub-driven slow down. Unhurried and uncluttered, key and string lines float through open space while gentle vocals slide into the landscape, reflecting on sunsets that turn into sunrises. Hans Berg reinterprets the piece into a powerfully deep techno storm. His version is a relentless and energetic pairing of synth lines that whip and scatter over the original's playful melodic refrains. In other words, a monster that presents a not-so-subtle call to rave.

In addition, a batch of thirty records will come with a limited edition cassette. The tape features a remix of 'Up All Night' by Seth NK, the master of all things lo-fi. His version is a sleazy re-imagining with trashy drums and murky tones that weave through the silt. Turn the tape over and you'll find a bizarre recording of a young woman describing an LSD-induced psychedelic experience.

This album initially started out as an entry for the Inside Out series on Aus - based around the idea of collaborations with his nearest and dearest but when David sent me the music and wrote a few new tracks there was such a cohesive, timeless feel to it as a body of work I decided that it had to be a stand alone artist album. These tracks have been written over a twenty year period and involve 6 people but it sounds like it was written in one sitting. This is testament to David's creative aesthetic and the closeness of the relationship with his collaborators as a common feeling of warmth and smudged soul oozes out of every poor of this record. Fast-moving times, in which popularity and quality are often equated or commonly confused with one another, aids and abets this imitation game some call conformity, others professionalism. In the end, both paths will end up in predictability. Here's where Stathis Kalatzis, aka Mr. Statik, comes to play. The resident at Athens' multi-purpose cultural space Six D.O.G.S has not only been one of the scene's pivotal figures, but since he started to release his first solo releases in the mid-00s, the now Berlin-based Greek DJ has earned a reputation for being a trend-ignoring, unconventional producer.

Whether his output for BPitch Control, Rotary Cocktail, or even last year's debut EP "Rogue
Cherub" for AWAY - Mr. Statik enjoys thinking outside the box by crossing his diverse pop-cultural interests and pulling in expertise and perspective from beyond the usual functional formulas. After a decade of not staying in one comfort zone or sticking to one musical direction, he finds himself more comfortable in his producer shoes presenting his debut album "Metamorphose". Housing a few film references in this for Mr. Statik typical nebulous fashion, the ten tracks not only carrying the narrative potential of an imaginary score, but primarily exploring a versatile array of influences, themes, and contradictions (which Mr. Statik as an illustrator also united on the albums' artwork). Ranging from the sci-fi infused album opener "Insomnia", the first non-dancefloor piece he ever produced around 7 years ago, over "?atastrophe", an homage to ancient Greek theater, to collaborate with others such as Beatrice Ballabile, Jan Niklas Jansen (Locas In Love), and RBMA alumnus Claude Speeed, who contributed synth work on "Soulfur".

"Metamorphose" succeeds in constantly changing its tones, while maintaining an emotional
frame, in which Mr. Statik's melancholic, introvert, at times hopeful and euphoric, bottom end
inclined electronic music can elaborate.

MR. STATIK ON HIS ALBUM DEBUT:

"I have always tried to approach producing as storytelling exercises. This allowed me to
experiment finding myself in uncharted territories, more specifically in music that doesn't
necessarily fit to a dance floor - unless it's a very adventurous one. "Metamorphose'' is loyal to that mindset. I usually draw inspiration from cinema and comic books and have always been fascinated with sci-fi, south asian culture, surrealism and the dreamworld. Initially the album was supposed to be a collage of the various influences that had shaped my life, but ended up being something very different. During the conceptualization and recording process a lot of things around us have changed, primarily for the worse. I became more and more sensitive and susceptible to pessimism and trendy visions of "dystopian futurism", so that the LP emerged being an exercise in positivity: 'Metamorphose' is a verb describing the act of
conversion, but in Greeklish it is describes the urge towards others to start transforming their
environment, in this case for the better."

With previous contributions from Joe Claussell, Move D, Mr. Ties, Reagenz, Discrete Circuit and their very own AWAY Soundsystem, the Berlin label AWAY achieved a great deal of attention since its first release back in 2015. After having played at their infamous party series before, the Greek all-rounder Mr. Statik now also debuts as a producer on AWAY. As emphasized with releases on such labels as BPitch Control, Amam, or Rotary Cocktail, the resident of Athen's club Six D.O.G.S draws inspiration from pop culture like science-fiction movies as well as comic books, also reflected in his "Rogue Cherub EP".

INFO ROGUE CHERUB EP
It's an open secret that Mr. Statik has a strong penchant for working with vocalists, and the title track is no different. Starting off with an ingenious medley assembled through samples, rhythmic elements, and a funk-infused bass-line, "Rogue Cherub EP" highlights the Greek's unordinary approach on house music. Despite the partly broken, partly playful vibe it's Dave Aju's distinctive voice holding everything together in a serene fashion. No less than the acknowledged master Matthew Herbert himself scales the hybrid down, attaching just the right disco-house touches to create yet another dance floor gem. "Morning Star" on the flipside tops off AWAY's fifth catalogue number by a well-crafted techno-meets-dub workout unfolding Mr. Statik's versatile core strengths as a producer.

Berlin collective AWAY ready the 4th release in their catalogue. With 001 on the label being a VA, 002 being an EP from Joe Claussell & Mr.Ties as AWAY Soundsystem and 003 being a second VA - they now present a split 2-tracker from label mainstay Move D and his pairing with Jonah Sharp under their collaborative guise of Reagenz.

Toy Tonics presents a new producer team: Sound Support consists of two enthusiastic synth and house aficionados that everybody knows (in the scene): Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (keyboard wizard and producer genius).
Together they are doing extremely groovy, jazz infected dance music that connects the good things of 1990ies house with the indie disco of the 2000s.

Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode connected through their mutual love for all things musically unusual. After years of having worked together on several projects, such as the Dam Swindle live show, they finally got around to making music together. The result has been nothing less than an avalanche of tracks, mostly made in 4 day coffee fueled studio sessions in Lorenz’ studio in Cologne. All reminding the big funk house tracks of the early 2000s. Yes a lot of Daft Punk is here, A lot of NYC disco influences. Larry Levan and Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey and Masters at Work.. all influences on this record.

After their first two Sound Support EP’s on Prins Thomas’ label, Internasjonal, they’ve ventured out to House of Disco and other labels with a wide array of immensely enjoyable synth heavy tracks. 2023 sees these two venture more into house territory with releases on AUS music and Toy Tonics, two labels that have cemented themselves deeply into the underground scene. In any case, it’s clear that Sound Support have found its signature sound and there is much more of that to look forward to. Release Info:
Tresor Records is proud to announce forthcoming special editions of its entire catalogue of Drexciya and related projects. 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Stinson and the releases of the Transllusion and Shifted Phases albums. In recognition, the rightsholders, their families, and the label have commissioned Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison to re-conceptualize the covers of Tresor's Drexciya-related catalogue. These editions will be released sequentially, bimonthly, starting early-September 2022.

The series starts with Neptune's Lair, first released in 1999, with the Hydro Doorways single arriving shortly after. In November, Harnessed The Storm and Digital Tsunami are coming. In 2023 comes the release of Transllusion in February. The series is completed by the long-awaited re-release of Shifted Phases - The Cosmic Memoirs Of The Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope - at the end of March.

These records, individually and as a catalogue, represent some of the most crucial moments in the Tresor label history, with the sound and mythic world of Drexciya undoubtedly inspiring generations.

Can't Stop .There seems no better way to describe the work, party and music ethic of Solomun. Carrying the mirror ball on his shoulders like Atlas, it is impossible to imagine the modern disco world without his dynamics. While his countless DJ sets give fresh impetus to the many shades of house, techno and their siblings, conversely they are a driving force behind his studio and remix excursions. We last left off with Complementary Minds dropping singles and EPs to keep telling their musical story. But now, we're hyped to present their new album, the second one, Complementary Minds Vol 2 (inevitably out on vinyl and of course on digital versions), it's picking up right where the first one left off and just like that one, it’s out on their label, Terapia Records. Complementary Minds Vol.2 is, as the duo has been treating us to lately, a subtle yet striking evolution from the first chapter of what, and we’re telling you this exclusively, will be a trilogy. The tracks are a mix of influences from all sorts of genres like Hip-Hop, Breakbeat, Electro, House, Acid Jazz and much more. But the compositional style here is more mature, even more aware and refined, less raw than the first album, which showcased their creative talent in an instinctive way. This is a big step in the musical maturity of Luca and Michele. As usual, they flaunt their passion for movies by stuffing the tracks with film references in the form of samples that we challenge you to find, giving you just a few hints: you'll find samples from The Goonies in “Goonietown", Natural Born Killers in "Born Dead” and even Fantozzi Contro Tutti, a wild obsession of our very own Luca, in the track "Rmx & Chips”! Continuing from the first album, the tracks on what should be the first side are named starting with C, so the second side is the D side, kicking off with “Goonietown" and its absolutely smashing four-on-the-floor groove. The dark and brooding mystical energy of "Kim Darkness" takes us into a different sound dimension, from which we inevitably emerge with the fresh vibes of the airy "Hey" and the mellow "Born Dead" before diving into the rhythmic coolness of "Rmx & Chips” which put the END word on the first side. D side starts with “King Of Korea” and its harmonic electro touch which perfectly sets up the following track, the short but intense "M-Time" and the esoteric crypticism of “Damn”. The breathless sprint of Complementary Minds sees the finish line approaching, but not before tackling the sonic leaps of a world crafted by their vintage touch and the late '80s rhythmic evolutions of the ruggedly classy "Explorer '85". “Ambient Kontakt” anticipates the 9th inning of this record with a touch of healthy weirdness, a must by the pair, and sets the stage for the fleeting and dreamy outro of the spacey "O" Omega for the Greek scholars, symbolizing the end, the final letter of the alphabet. The tune is inspired to Jerry Goldsmith’s majestic soundtracks; he composed, amongst others, the music for Alien and Rambo. Start of a new series of official reworks of The Warmer Music catalogue, a very special collaboration of Too Slow To Disco with the major label, that we worked on for a long time. We are more than thrilled to start our Warner Music collaboration with official DocotrSoul reworks for one of the most prolific musicians of the Californian Westcoast/Jazz/AOR/Yacht scene, the one and only Michael Franks, who approved personally the new version. Over the languorous course of 33 years and 16 albums, Michael Franks has mesmerized an international legion of fans with his one-of-a-kind artistry. Seamlessly weaving lyrics of stunning sensuality, wit, reflection and literary eloquence over music that tastefully utilizes top shelf shadings of jazz, soul, pop, chamber and music from around the globe. His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . His music lives on and is loved by so many modern Balearic/Soft Disco musicians/producers from today.

Parisian producer DoctorSoul is a longtime TSTD collaborateur. These reworks of his have been floating around the internet for some time, we are so proud to finally give them an official release! The D.J. / Remix & Music producer / Sound Designer has collaborated with many artists and bands from diverse genres even in Jazz, bringing production remixes for the likes of legendary Tania Maria, Jeff Cascaro, Mandoo &Interview to name just a few! His own musical releases are deeply rooted in disco and funk territory with a modern sonic production touch that can grab attention from the younger generation, as well as from the elder who like to be reminded of the 80’s dance floor culture.

DaRand Land, who hails from the post industrial confines of Buffalo, NY was one of the leading figures of Deep4Life, a cult label known for submersible oriented, yet dancefloor-friendly productions. With ambient synth-driven tones and heavy funk basslines being at the center of his sound, DaRand Land’s music often evokes an introspective quality, without losing its groove fundamental. DaRand’s works, which span decades on deep house labels such as Downbeat, Confluence and Pulp have been described as “uncompromising” and has afforded him a passionate following of listeners who seek a more emotive, thought-provoking brand of underground music.
Teaming up once again with Scissors and Thread - the perfect fit for his sound - DaRand Land drops an album full of crafty, trippy house for the heads. Wander Being contains 10 tracks on the double vinyl release with a pair of additional tracks for the digital release. The vibe is deep and sleek, with a rough, bumping edge. The title track sets the tone, a smattering of percussion accompanying a thick, round kick drum and Rhodes chords, giving off a classic Detroit feel. Tracks like Turn to The Music ramp up the energy somewhat, but overall the tracks sit in the sweet spot between dancefloor burners and soulful, jazzy, deep cuts. Noticeable is the space given to each element across the tracks - the hi-hats sparkle, the snare snaps, and the basslines roll and rumble. Add to this the magic melodic flourishes provided by the pads and synths, reminiscent of the late Mike Huckaby in places, made this whole album a thoughtful, joyful experience.
„The genesis for the Wander Being LP”, says DaRand “was a desire to return to the essence of some of my original Deep4Life productions. How was this accomplished? Principally, through the exclusive use of hardware components, minimalist arrangement, and a minds-eye approach to source the musical elements. In particular, the single, The Nature of Reality was written to convey a sense of what it feels like to be in a state of suspended animation. There is a natural tension introduced via the organic, swirling pad progression juxtaposed against endless vocal echoes and the low-end groove of the bassline. Thematically, I wanted to carry this forward through the entirety of the album.

As the leader of new outfit Sarter Kit, saxophonist Tara Sarter is creating a unique form of minimal, experimental jazz drawing on humanist principles and shared experiences. Her uncluttered and emotionally heavy debut album 'What I am and What I'm Not' creates an open, instrumental soundworld, where breaks and silences command equal gravitas as the notes and beats.
The masterful drumming of Lukas Akintaya dances between oblique patterns in odd meters, into rolling grooves and afrobeat inspired rhythms. On keys and synth, Elias Stemeseder creates tension and releases, with lingering chords and fragile melodies. Stemeseder's synthesizer work throughout the album is subtle yet masterful. Stalking the silence between the sax, drums and piano, creating a haze of digital textures within the margins of the music. Much of the album was recorded live, preserving the raw, unedited energy of their performances.
Beyond its musical qualities, 'What I am and What I'm Not' is a reflection of Sarter's belief in the power of music as a form of human connection. For Sarter, music is not about proving technical prowess but about creating something meaningful, something that transcends barriers and speaks to the shared experience of being human.

Red Axes are very excited to present the first part of their new project called: "Trips", a multi media venture combining music, film and travelling across the globe in pursuit of extra ordinary collaborations.

Niv Arzi and Dori Sadovnik are seeking to discover new grounds and sounds, and to record local musicians, indigenous instruments and present workshops for youth music schools.

In March of 2017, the Israeli duo touched down in Africa for the first time, and set up camp in both Ethiopia and Ivory Coast, yielding In Africa, a triple header EP which features three slices of contemporary body music, with both East and West African musical motifs.

The project will always present a musical release, on vinyl and digital, that was created on the trip, accompanied with a documentary, showing the whole journey.

The Music;
A1 sees Red Axes and seven-piece Ivorian band, Yakomin, intertwine mechanical drum-machine passages with breathing, live percussion and recordings of instruments indigenous to the West African costal region. Amuse’s dusty, afrofunk-leaning synths pair excellently with the celebratory singing and rhythms by students from Abidjan’s Insaac Music School. Addis Sababa’s overdriven, analog electronics escort lesser-known wind and plucked instruments to the sunny finish line. in trademark Red Axes style.

The Film;
An accompanying documentary by Nimrod Von Keren, entitled TRIPS #1 - Africa, is soon to be unveiled, which showcases the magic moments behind this first-of-many, transcontinental, nonstandard collaborative experiences.

The Show;
On August 23rd, we will present a one of a kind performance with 3 of the amazing musicians we worked with in Ivory Coast, from the band Yakomin. The show will happen at "Sacred Music Festival" in Jerusalem, and this is the most amazing closure, the band and Red Axes could have dreamed of. The artists will prepare a special set up of tracks recorded together, and new organic interpretations for their biggest tracks.

Initally released almost 40 years ago on the beloved compilation Swiss Wave - The Album (Off Course Records) alongside the band's massive hit "Eisbär", "Raum" is the biggest Grauzone track people have yet to discover. An über-infectious New York style bassline played by Christian "GT" Trüssel and frantic drumming by Marco Repetto blend with Martin Eicher's hauntingly hopeless lyrics and Claudine Chirac's saxophone escapades to personify post-punk heaven and all its wonderful anomalies.
