Powel returns to All Day I Dream to release his newest celestial sonic masterpiece, the Piano Reeves EP. Powel aka Paul Christie is a Berlin based DJ/Producer, and a relatively fresh name on the underground house circuit. Christie has previously released material with some exciting new labels, namely, Berlin-based label Keller, Wunderbar Recordings and Deliciuse, here he joins the FINA roster, well and truly putting him on the map, and slotting in alongside Move D, Cottam and Leif. Title track ‘Cloud City’ opens the single here, an ethereal deep house number featuring an amalgamation of cosseting synth tones, understated, organic drums and intricate, blooming melodies.This is a stunning opener for the EP and a clear-cut sign that Powel has a deep-seated knowledge for sculpting heartfelt house music. Up next is ‘Falling In A Black Hole’, which sees Powel take a more reserved approach and minimal sentiment, opting for sparse drums, emotive chord progressions and smooth pad lines. On the B-Side of the release, first up we have ‘I’m Talking Quietly’, Powel drops the tempo down to create a chuggy, disco inflected feel. Throwing in loose, organic percussion for an authentic nu-disco feel, while piano chords, heavily delayed strings and sax licks further fuel the musicality, adding a further charm and character to the record. Then up last to close things is ‘Getting Out’, embracing a similar slo-mo, low-slung aesthetic to the preceding track, yet introducing a gritty electronic bass hook and analogue style synth lines this time to create a brilliantly contrasting track, and rounding off a stellar package full of understated, intelligent electronic music. Natalie Beridze is a Georgian artists, composer and songwriter, in Georgia she is considered to be pioneer of Georgian electronic music. Beridze has been releasing music since 2003 on record labels such as: Max.E; Monika Enterprise; CMYK; Laboratory Instict; Chainmusic and CES Records. She has collaborated with artists such as Thomas Brinkmann, AGF, Gudrun Gut, Joerg Follert, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nikakoi and Gacha Bakradze. Compiled of 7 tracks "Spines" is a perfect album to hear on a perfect soundsystem in the club. In Natalie's words "Spines" resembles her recollection of driving on the backseat of a car, looking at ever changing lanscape flying by. Her endless source of inspiration is "Strata-A georgraphic fiction" by Robert Smithson and John Ruskin's "Frondes Agrestes". More

Anané’s Take A Ride EP was produced by Two Soul Fusion, aka Louie Vega and Josh Milan, all with live string arrangements courtesy of the Apple Hill String Quartet and conducted by Leroy Burgess. The recording dives from the effortless heights of Punk Disco (Let Me Be Your Fantasy, High) into the swirling eddies of Jazz Funk (Coffy Is The Color) before climbing back out into the languorous arms of Italo-Disco (Tutto Previsto). Strings across the production were The EP is held together in its entirety by the dreamy, sumptuous vocal of its creator Anané, who considers her top line one vital part of the instrumental whole. “I am art,” Anané reflects carefully, “for I am the music as much as I am the singer. Creation means to crawl into the unseen of my own dreams and becoming the beast of my vision, singing to the world as I go by.” More
