NECHTO returns with its second 12” vinyl compilation, continuing the mission of presenting forward-thinking techno from both rising talents and trusted names. Each of the six tracks adds a unique voice to the raw and honest collection.
Mecha opens the record with “All My Love”, a hypnotic debut techno track shaped by years in drum and bass. Contakt follows with “Peak Jam”, a one-take hardware jam built around the warmth of a signature synth. “16th Symphony” by Human Safari is a jazz-influenced cut intended for special moments in a DJ set. Unspent delivers “Moog Gorning”, a track that shifts from percussive 4x4 to broken rhythm, carrying deep personal emotion. Ashtar Afterhours is Kenneth Graham - originally from Los Angeles, he has been a defining presence in electronic music ever since the 90s. Buying his first classic synthesizer, a Yamaha CS01, in 1984, he delved into music production at an early stage. Kenneth put out over 40 releases over the years- under his own name as well as stepping up under various aliases- Estelle Montenegro, KG Beat, Exit Strategy and many others. Kenneth also formed some super-groups together with friends, his Sun Children / Sunkiss project- together with David Alvarado- put out highly influential music on legendary Peacefrog Records.

Body Music was originally released on Plastic City in 2001 and it has been a Smallville favourite since a long time, so we are super happy to present this beauty as a repress, as always with a full cover artwork by Stefan Marx.

This is another vital instalment of Get Physical Music's classic reissue series, which is now scheduled for a vinyl release. It features a track first released in 1994 and was also part of DJ Pierre's Wild Pitch: The Story album back in 2017. It comes with an Emmanuel Satie edit of the Ricardo Villalobos Dub and a stellar remix from South Africa's Jazzuelle, first released in 2017.

DJ Pierre's name is forever synonymous with house music, particularly the acid sound he pioneered in the' 80s. Staying true to the underground since then, he's consistently released vital tracks, innovated with his Wild Pitch style and now his Afro Acid label. Pierre continues to push boundaries with each new outing while this reissue proves that his earliest works are still some of house music's best ever.

'What is House Muzik' is an almost 10-minute masterpiece that's perfectly designed for gritty warehouse spaces and comes complete with an anthemic vocal monologue. It's dark and distorted with monstrous kicks and oversized hi-hats, a frazzled lead synth line and a marching groove that is lit up with strobe-lit details to get hands in the air. The original also comes alongside an acapella version.

Next up, we have an edit from melodic master Emmanuel Satie, who takes Fellow Ricardo Villalobos's epic 36-minute 'What Is Dub' version and splices it into a floor-friendly and perfectly paced 7-and-a-half-minute edit. Originally dropping in 2015, it now sees its way onto vinyl for the first time. Finally, South Africa electronic production don Jazzuelle drops a remix that lives up to its name with a dive into the deeper realms of acid.

We Release Jazz (WRWTFWW Records' new sister-label) is proud to present its first release, the official reissue of Ryo Fukui's highly sought-after masterpiece Scenery (1976), sourced from the original masters and available on limited edition 180g vinyl mastered at half speed for audiophile sound and on digipack CD.

Unquestionably one of the most important Japanese jazz albums ever recorded, Scenery reveals Ryo Fukui as a miraculously brilliant self-taught pianist fusing modal, bop, and cool jazz influences for a very personal, dexterous and game-changing take on classic standards made famous by Bing Crosby and John Coltrane among others. From "It Could Happen To You" and its serene and calm intro which magically flows into a jubilant and upbeat piece, to the out-of-this-world piano solo of "Early Summer", or the incredible teamwork of "Autumn Leaves" where Fukui leads Satoshi Denpo (bass) and Yoshinori Fukui (drums) into groove heaven, every single note on the album oozes precision, confidence and flair and every single section slides seamlessly into one another, creating a supreme and elegant blend of jazz. Often compared to McCoy Tyner or Bill Evans, Ryo Fukui was a genius in his own right, a true master of his craft whose perfectionism gave birth to some of the greatest music ever recorded. Scenery is his magnum opus and an absolute must-have.

The Hokkaido wizard-pianist followed Scenery with the soulful gem Mellow Dream (also available on We Release Jazz) in 1977. He then focused on improving his live skills, often performing at Sapporo's Slowboat Jazz Club (which he co-founded with his wife Yasuko Fukui) and releasing 2 live albums. Ryo Fukui sadly passed away in March 2016, leaving behind a legacy of works that is sure to captivate jazz lovers for generations to come.
