Tracklisting:
A1 Holo - Juniper

Sales Note
Following the success of Holo's groove-driven debut Atlas EP, he's back with another dreamy 3-tracker on Lost Palms.
Drawing from pop, classic rock, acid and 90's hip hop, he has managed to hone a truly idiosyncratic sound which at once is recognisable and takes you by surprise. The aptly-named Technicolour EP demonstrates the Melbourne producer's prowess in creating rich, warm, chromatic soundscapes which are downtempo but pack plenty of body. Following the shuffly house number 'Juniper', reverberating chords and MPC claps define 'Shosa' before the balearic-tinged 'Try' leaves a sweet taste in our mouths via acid melodies and airy pads. Sales Note
After Psychiatre's previous electro-focused Lost Palms release proved his artistic malleability, his latest sees him return to his signature sound. NMAV EP radiates warmth; music that sits back into itself, and invites its listener to do just the same.
It begins with three deep house soothers, the first taking disco as its springboard, and the rest stripping it right back to a minimal, soul-caressing effect.
On the B-side the sun doesn't stop shining, except this time Psychiatre injects a healthy dose of acid and the groove of a breakbeat. But far from the rave connotations of each style, Psychiatre teases out the most gentle facets of each, bringing the EP to a suitably laid-back close. More

San Fran’s rising star and Shall Not Fade fave, Computer Data, returns to Lost Palms with 4 slick, deep tracks to satisfy your sonic needs.
Colourful opener ‘Seele’ marries hazy, lo-fi vocals with bright synths and dreamy pads. A lush escape, one for lazy days watching clouds pass by. Next, let the thick deep grooves of Broken wash over you - soulful, enigmatic vocals tug on the heart strings, dancing over a silky, mesmerising melody. On the flip, ‘Departure’ is a slow burning house number with Computer Data’s own spin, stripped back kicks driving into an ethereal electronic wonderland. Taking us through to a soul-soothing sunrise, ‘Veloren’ rounds out the EP. Uplifting, nonchalant, deep house to wash away your troubles. More

DJ Psychiatre explores a different avenue of his sound. Whilst the enigmatic French producer's penchant for storytelling remains very much intact, he swaps out his usual house-centric sound for a focus on electro. Delivered via acidic synths, infectious melodies and metallic textures, Lucidity EP captures electro's most playful side and proves Psychiatre's stylistic ambidexterity. More

B3 &on&on - Samo
Release Note:
As &on&on, DJ's Noni and Worth Way have been making some serious waves over the past year, being named one of DJ Mag top artists to check out in 2022 and also featured on Disclosure's DJ Kicks compilation.
On their first release on the label, the duo boast their prowess in composing uplifting, melodic dance music which draws on myriad influences to create unique and innovative sounds. Whilst every track on Mentalphysics has fun and festivity at its core, some take their inspiration from disco ('Mid Valley'), whilst others from groovy deep house ('All Day') or breakbeat ('Delta T'). Finally, 'Melted' subtly evokes speed garage in the way the bass dips, giving the track lots of depth and 'Samo' brings things to an anthemic close with reverberating cymbals filling any space with body and movement. Release Note:
Alex Virgo breathes his love of disco into all that he touches. With each release the London producer explores the genre's myriad forms, ranging from nu-disco to italo and cosmic inflections. On "Don't Buy The Sun" EP retro drum machines reverberate amongst full-bodied synth melodies, often backed by an assertive beat that gives the tracks their driving propulsion. At times, the music seems most fitted to an industrial warehouse setting whilst at others, a space shuttle ride to the moon.

On his debut album, Paris-based producer and founder of the "raw poetry" aesthetic Loyce Demellier - AKA DJ Physical - takes us on a fast-paced journey through techno, electro, breaks and more. Whilst the music's indisputable home is the club, Physical teases out moments of playfulness and sentimentality amongst hard-hitting electronics.
"Silver Lake" LP resides on the colder, more industrial side of Demellier's sonic spectrum, following on from his latest release on London imprint 10 PILLS MATE which saw him depart from the more lofi quality of his previous releases in favour of a raw, club-focused sound. On the A-side, Demellier situates the release within the context of old warehouse raves, with euphoric acid melodies and a 140BPM propulsion ("Uranium"): and high-pitched synth stabs that ascend from darkness ("Gold Mines").
The B-side maintains the pace, but this time it's about electro and breaks. On "Overshoot", reverberating cymbals add another layer of depth to Amen break interludes whilst "Lawbreaker" harnesses a cheekier tone, offering respite from the previous tracks' venom. This air of playfulness sticks around on "Lunatic State" helped by MPC drum claps and a ludic electro melody, before fellow Parisian Ika Sile steps up for "Early Sprinter" and "Bootybounce": the former offering a slicker take on acid techno and the latter: rave music at its absolute with piano stabs and sleazy vocal chops. Silver Lake LP drops 19th August 2022 via Lost Palms. More

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy presents Balearic Breakfast Volume 2
Heavenly Recordings, limited edition 11 track double 12” vinyl
Released June 9th 2023
“Like David Mancuso and the original Ibizan DJs, Murphy understands Balearic to be a hard-to-define mixture that’s both soothing and gently envelope-pushing” The Arts Desk
“This tantalising selection of tracks is reason enough to swap the cups of tea snd toast for exotic fruits and poolside cocktails” Electronic Sound
Murphy's definition of Balearic seems more tied to music's capacity to take you to limitless backdrops than it is to any specific destination, a natural outlook for a curator whose career has been one long, fruitful journey. Resident Advisor
Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy serves up a second helping of Balearic Breakfast with another phenomenal compilation for Heavenly Recordings. Like 2022’s acclaimed first Balearic Breakfast album, this one features eleven tracks that drift between space rock and soul, disco and deep house, ambient and electronica, old and new, fast and slow. In the words of Cosmo herself, these tracks are a “hodge-podge of chill out, spiritual jazz, deep soul, percussive house, quirky disco, indie-dance and what may ‘traditionally’ be called ‘balearic’ (whatever that may be).” In the words of Heavenly, these albums are horizontal masterpieces that should be prescribed on the NHS as they’re filled with the kind of blissed out music that’s guaranteed to lift you out of the mundane and the everyday, wherever you are.
Many of the tracks on Balearic Breakfast 2 have never been available on vinyl before. More

“Session Victim debut on Rhythm Section Intl with an EP of understated but highly effective jazzy house rollers“
Having cemented themselves as firm favourites on the Rhythm Section dance-floor over the years, the German duo step forward to present their debut EP on the South London label: “ Basic Instinct”.
Known for their unparalleled energy when performing live or DJing, Hauke and Matthias fly the flag for sample based, soulful house music and a commitment to the art of vinyl DJing. With the never- ending search for the perfect beat at the core of what they do, it was no surprise they found a deep affinity with Rhythm Section INTL over years of playing for each other, jamming in the studio and crossing paths at festivals and airports around the world. In short, this record was an inevitable culmination of two passionate, like minded groups, a match made in Heaven and a long time coming!
Despite hailing from the techno meccas of Berlin and Hamburg, Session Victim are direct descendants of the German Jazzy House masters, tracing inspiration from the likes of Jazzanova, Soulphiction & Compost Records - the likes of which have gone on to inspire a renaissance of this more soulful sound in German clubs, spearheaded by labels like Tartelet and Toy Tonics - the latter of which the duo recently released an EP with.
This latest effort on Rhythm Section INTL is a masterclass in restraint, demonstrating a deep understanding of dancefloor dynamics, putting the maxim ‘less is more’ to great effect. The
opening track, ‘Trying To Make it Home’ is the most immediately engaging cut: a double bass riff drives along a Kerri Chandler-esque filtered piano pattern which gives way to a soaring Gospel
Vocal , allowing the groove to take control as flutes, strings and occasional guitar licks meander in and out of the mix to create a real ‘heads down, arms up’ moment for the dancefloor. More

Sally C - Give It To Me

Sally C - Nasty
Sally C returns with her long-awaited second release on eponymous label Big Saldo's Chunkers.
Led by the cult favourite 'Let's Get This', Big Saldo's Chunkers 001 was a runaway success, demanding two represses, both of which sold out within a week. Former BBC Radio 1 legend Annie Mac was a key champion of the record, hosting Sally for a ‘Homage to Hip House’ Mini Mix dedicated to Black innovators such as Fast Eddie, K-Hand and Tyree who inspire her so much. When gigs returned in summer 2021, the EP received a second life with support from the likes of TSHA and Kevin Saunderson, among others.
BSC002 continues on the same straight-up chunky tip that has become her trademark. 'Give it to Me' pops on the A-Side. Emotional and euphoric in equal measures, it brings the Big Saxophone Energy across seven thrilling minutes, as Sally omits the bass giving the sax a chance to shine alongside her signature rolling percussion. Lock this one as a summer 2022 anthem.
A much-requested track I.D at gigs over the last year, 'Downtown' kicks off the B-Side and opens with a question: 'Do you wanna dance?' And of course, we desperately do. It’s the very embodiment of a Chunker with its cool vocal, banging bassline and rolling drums. This is the ultimate all-rounder, good for opening, closing and peak-time moments. 'Nasty' does exactly what it says on the tin and hits with slamming kicks, funky breaks and Saldo's own nastiest bassline on record.
Excitement has been building for this release since Sally included all tracks on her lauded RA podcast last summer. Additionally, all BSC002 cuts went down a dream at her Panorama Bar debut in October and were clear standouts of the set. More

guy gerber - What To Do (DJ Jes Remix)
A producer known for his eclectic and melodic sounds, Guy Gerber has delivered the brand-new remix package of his very own ‘What To Do’ production, set for release on Friday 26th October. Embodying a varied range of sonic arrangements that the Israeli DJ has become synonymous with, the original was released earlier this year and demonstrates varied cymbal-claps and a wide range of isolated percussive instruments. With &ME spinning his own dynamic rework of the track, the German - who has performed a number of sets across Ibiza this summer, playing at DC-10 ’s ‘ Circoloco’ - adds groove-fuelled elements to the mix, a stark contrast to the deep, and driving style favoured by DJ Jes. A great remix package of the beloved original version of ‘What To Do’

Repress coming mid september!
The love for Sally C’s sound and burgeoning label shows no sign of slowing down. Last year’s ‘Big Saldo’s Chunkers 002’ was a phenomenon. Led by ‘Downtown’, which became one of the most beloved tracks of the year, it secured over 30 BBC Radio 1 plays and genre-crossing support from Peggy Gou to TSHA and Bradley Zero. Critical acclaim came from Bandcamp, RA and beyond.
Launched in 2020 with ‘Big Saldo’s Chunkers 001’ that’s currently on its fourth repress, the Chunker sound is special to all those who know it. Taking influence from artists including K-Hand and Fast Eddie, Sally draws on the sensibilities of classic US house music, crafting unique dancefloor cuts that don’t compromise on quality.
Active on the release front over the last 12 months with well-received remixes of Obongjayar, LB aka LABAT and a fresh original on Rhythm Section, we witness a noticeable evolution in her sound with BSC003. “I wanted to challenge myself when writing this record. I still haven’t released a full EP on another label, so I wanted to pair straight up Chunkers with something a bit different to shake up the Chunker energy,” she shares.
The four-tracker opens with ‘All Love’, a joyous house banger that swaps out Sally’s trademark Chunker bassline for a sexier groove. When the euphoric piano breakdown kicks in, soon accompanied by the ‘dance’ vocal on repeat, we’re reminded of the exultant power of rave. ‘
Hit It’ follows, a proper Chunker to the core. A hip house-informed jam, it’s packed full of tight drums, stabs, sirens and one of Sally’s monster Chunker b-lines. An absolute tune!
‘Control’ is a low-slung roller, encapsulating her love for simplistic production principles that birth memorable results. A headsy offering ripe for the after-hours.
‘‘Get Up’ is an ice-cool slab born out of a jam on a drum machine that hits at 144bpm. “I wasn’t sure how this would fit on the record being this speed, but it’s exactly what I envisioned when I wanted to challenge myself more. It’s raw and rolling and as soon as I made it, I knew it fitted into the Chunker family,” Sally explains. More

Info Text:
In 2019 we released the Discodrums 12'' on our own newfound The Night Land Records. With its screen-printed cover and limited edition it was a tribute to a format and culture dear to our hearts: Vinyl. Our intention was to keep releasing records in this style, with songs already mixed, mastered and ready to fly. Had we known it would take three years to get the next EPs out we would probably have reconsidered everything. Series of strange incidents, accidents and negligence made us think this project was cursed but the music felt too important to us to let it go. We kept working to get it out and now we finally arrive with two ”new” EPs: Melbourne Bolero and Bosco/Bosca. This is classic Talaboman; Chuggy, hypnotic, dub flavoured Latin-Scando house music, released on vinyl with beautiful screen-printed covers designed by DR.ME in Manchester. Three years too late but a hundred years too soon? Dance is timeless, thanks for listening.
