Info Text:
In 2019 we released the Discodrums 12'' on our own newfound The Night Land Records. With its screen-printed cover and limited edition it was a tribute to a format and culture dear to our hearts: Vinyl. Our intention was to keep releasing records in this style, with songs already mixed, mastered and ready to fly. Had we known it would take three years to get the next EPs out we would probably have reconsidered everything. Series of strange incidents, accidents and negligence made us think this project was cursed but the music felt too important to us to let it go. We kept working to get it out and now we finally arrive with two ”new” EPs: Melbourne Bolero and Bosco/Bosca. This is classic Talaboman; Chuggy, hypnotic, dub flavoured Latin-Scando house music, released on vinyl with beautiful screen-printed covers designed by DR.ME in Manchester. Three years too late but a hundred years too soon? Dance is timeless, thanks for listening.

talaboman - sideral matt karmil remix
UPC 827170 5596 6 0 Release : 11.08.2014 (12'') – 25.08.2014 (digital)
Tracklist 12'': A. Sideral – B. Sideral (Matt Karmil Remix)
Sideral is the debut 12'' of Talaboman, the super-duo of Hivern Discs' John Talabot and Studio Barnhus' Axel Boman. The record is released as a joint venture between the labels and comes with a slow-burning remix by Köln-based producer Matt Karmil to accompany the boombastic original version, which was also featured on John Talabot's much praised entry in the DJ-Kicks mix series last year. This record is dedicated to the legendary dj Aleix “Sideral” Vergés, who ruled over Barcelona's underground discotecas during the turn of the millennium and sadly passed away in 2006. A truly fearless and idiosyncratic dj, Sideral mixed genres wildly and brilliantly, uniting in the dance people from all kinds of musical backgrounds. At a time when few djs dared cross musical borders, he was a real inspiration for both the Barcelona native Talabot and the young Swede Boman, who lived in the city during the peak of Sideral's reign.

5_Talking to Nature Spirits 6_Resurrection — Total playing time: 50:04
SHORT INFO:
Samuel Rohrer - drums, percussion, electronics, keys, modular synths
Music produced, recorded and mixed by Samuel Rohrer
Samuel Rohrer’s newest solo album, Codes of Nature, shows the artist making yet more refinements and
additions to an already rich catalog of musical ideas. Though he has excelled in collaborative projects with Ambiq,
Ricardo Villalobos, Max Loderbauer, Tobias Freund, Dark Star Safari, Nils Petter Molvaer, Oren Ambarchi and
many others, it is fascinating to experience him also working in a field completely his own, yet managing to still give
the impression of being fully integrated or connected with a larger musical universe.
A strange, intriguing ambiguity between the specific and the universal is indeed what makes Rohrer’s music
worth playing on a loop – the cool, downtempo, yet energized constructions on Codes are powered by subtle
atmospheric and tonal changes, and work like a camouflage adaptable to any environment.
This is a record whose strength derives from its versatility. It’s clear that this versatility of sounds has been
inspired by a commitment to positive differentiation that is not just a musical one, and that’s where this work will
inspire others in turn.

Format : Vinyl 12” (180 gr., Limited Full Cover)
Track list:
A1 Chant des Oiseaux (Feat. BeBelle)
A2 Skelp Tune
B1 Cop Show
B2 Henri Rousseau (Feat. BeBelle)
Release Info:
Stepping up for his fourth release on Heist, we’ve got sample wizard Nebraska coming in with some lovely chops and a giant curveball of an
a-side that has summer anthem written all over it. Curious? Dive into this massive 4 track EP by the London native who keeps on bringing the goods.
The Chant des Oiseaux EP is built around a collaboration between Nebraska and BeBelle. Anyone who’s picked up Nebraska’s 2021 release on his own Friends & Relations label will have already heard a glimpse of what happens when these 2 get into the studio. They have a mutual love for French vocals and we can’t blame them; everything BeBelle says, whispers and chants just sounds syrupy sweet.
This might be most evident on the title track of this single, where modulated Rhodes chords, distant chirping and fluttering of birds and a minimal beat form the foundation for BeBelle’s mesmerizing vocal. The dreamy and contemplative vibe of this track makes you long for those endless days of summer. We’re not sure if it’s a 70’s summer we’re longing back for, or 2022’s summer to look forward to, but with music like this, it doesn’t really matter, does it?
If you were still hovering mid-air on the vibe of the A1, ‘Skelp Tune’ – the second A track – will take you back to the ground and straight into the club. Skelp tune is a Detroit inspired house track (Nebraska sent us a ‘note to self’ saying ‘you are not Moodymann’ along with the first demo of this one). He doesn’t have to be; this track has all the clever sampling and disco energy of a classic Nebraska track, nicely tucked into one hell of a groove.
The flip starts with ‘Cop Show’: A no frills disco house track with a life affirming string section, guitar licks all over and a bottom end to freak out your neighbour’s neighbours.
We round up the EP with another collaboration with BeBelle, with the track ‘Henri Rousseau’. The track is built on a groove that almost gallops along, with strings, outer-worldly vocals and howling soundscapes that turn this track into a covert disco burner on the more experimental side of house music.
On the Chant des Oiseaux EP, Nebraska effortlessly shows off his impressive sampling skills, electronic fiddling, and powerful drum programming, reminding us that he’s not lost an inch of talent over the years and manages to surprise us with his music. Knowing him, this is simply because he’s simply exploring new ways to keep surprising himself.
Yours sincerely,
Maarten & Lars

Nuback - Heartbeat Summer
File Under: City Pop / Daydream Dub
Growing Bin say sayonara to summer with these bittersweet Balearic gems from Japan's Nuback. Emotional pop and daydream dub to make you feel younger than yesterday.
While the Discogs hipsters hastily hunt down the last, lost street soul OGs, Growing Bin choose instead to indulge in a little Nuback swing. Enlisting the talents of Tokyo's Dai Nakamura, Hamburg's home for sensitive sounds provide a much needed vinyl release for the misty-eyed 'When The Party Is Over' and 'Heartbeat Summer'.
Largely operating through his own Too Young Records, Nuback trades in textured soul, sympathetic synthesis and forlorn funk - a master at making you move while breaking your heart. Back in 2013, he waved 'Goodbye To Summer, Again', giving a digital release to these two tracks, which lurked a little low for the radar until Dai and Basso met somewhere beyond the algorithm, soon bringing this release to bloom.
Opening with a fanfare of featherlight pads and full bodied bass, 'When The Party Is Over' is pure sonic seduction, holding both Balearic boogie and City Pop in a tender embrace. Delicate guitar and sparkling sequences tug the heartstrings with nostalgic beauty, and Dai's smooth vocals are made to make you swoon. Emotional pop at its finest folks.
On the B-side, 'Heartbeat Summer' drops the tempo and soaks up the sun, losing its cares in a haze of loved up dub. As soulful keys sink into spring reverb and steam kettle synths ride a rolling bassline, this downbeat delight lays back in the long grass, making shapes from the clouds and sipping a cool koshu. For summer lovers everywhere;
A facemask ruins a first kiss, so start your romance right with Nuback.

Sloucho Feat. Yamagochi - Lights On
Arriving as the third album on Supreems ‘Sweet Sun’ label – an imprint gathering a reputation for future-facing, storytelling electronic music – Sloucho's 'NPC' explores the duality of his main character and non-playable lives. With a strong Irish artistic presence featuring Rory Sweeney, EMBY, Curtisy and more, Sloucho navigates through Cloudcore-inspired broken beats, bass-driven percussion, alternative dreamscapes and wubby fuck-steps on his most complete release to date, laying the foundation for an origin-story in the process.
Garnering support from Surusinghe, Roza Terenzi, Two Shell and more; some of the tracks on NPC have already been heard in clubs around the world - from Antwerp to London and Mumbai to Paris. ‘Mind Traveller’ offers an ambient introduction to ‘Athrú’, Sloucho’s home world, as the artist's pitched vocals act as the listeners guide into the island's core. ‘Mutant’ features experimental electronic artist Rhoshi on a track that follows the kaleidoscopic sonic-themes of Sloucho’s previous Cloudcore releases ‘Slow Feet’ and ‘Silver Veil’, before the Rory Sweeney-featuring ‘Come Around’ ignites the dance with its dutty screw-face two-step, balanced by moments of melodic contemplation before evolving into a techno-dancehall hybrid.
‘Brand New’ stays on the steppy aesthetic, and brings MCs EMBY and Zack Oke into the frame with a 3D Meta-human video created in collaboration with respected, exhibiting digital artist Aisling Phelan. Using a motion capture suit, they captured EMBY and Zack’s performance and imported it into Unreal Engine, using different environments scanned from around the Greek Islands as the backdrop. The result is mind-blowing; a complete digital realm, shot like a real-life rap video as EMBY and Zack spit bars across an elasticated garage riddim. Full video is on YouTube.
‘Super Maramu 2000’ is a cut of alien-club beamed directly from ‘Eile’, the afterlife of Sloucho’s Neolithic ancestors. A waltzer-ride through Latin-bass and techno with an oxymoronic blend of maximalist and minimalist futurism, it’s as silly as it is serious, before the stuttering, juke-influence of ‘Make It Work’ brings the album’s rapid first half (and a bit) to a close.
Sloucho seamlessly weaves from front left of the club to dark, fume-filled rooms on ‘Two Thousands’ (featuring EMBY and Curtisy), ‘Rocks’ (featuring Zack Oke, who sounds remarkably like experimental spoken-word artist Coby Sey here, and Chilean artist Vatican Jail) and ‘Lights On’ (featuring Yamagochi), Sloucho explores a previously unseen side to his sound, meandering through alternative trap and hip-hop laden beats that are both dreamy and nightmarish, bringing NPC to its starry-skied climax.

We kept working to get it out and now we finally arrive with two "new" EPs: Melbourne Bolero and Bosco/Bosca.

Release Info:
This album holds an undeniable significance, serving as a cornerstone of both techno and Tresor's legacy. Its story is deeply entwined with that of the label, following Robert Hood's Waveform Transmission 2 under his The Vision moniker, released just one year earlier and reissued on Tresor in 2023. On Internal Empire Robert Hood perfected his signature sound already present on Waveform Transmission 2, marking a pivotal moment in techno's history. It elevates its maker as master, sharing an irrefutable singular magic, sounding as present and indispensable as when first created. To understand this work fully is to stand back and celebrate its impact.
Originally released in 1994, the album marks a point of transition for Robert Hood moving on from his previous collaborations within Underground Resistance. Robert Hood advanced, uncovering the power of true minimalism. Deep soul through a simplicity that showed how much could be done with so little. The devastating rhythms of this album forge the unmatched spirit of this sound, influencing generations to come.
"I was faced with the challenge of following up on 'Minimal Nation’. I cancelled all my tour dates for that summer, set up my studio in the living room and began to work on 'Internal Empire'. My intention was to create something distinctively different. Looking out my living room window in Detroit watching people go by gave me a new perspective. It made me look at the world within myself. Years later I am still discovering.”
– Robert Hood
