After completing the series of five 10Y CLR releases, the label is back with CLR34. It contains five energetic remixes of last year´s "Auf und Ab" by Chris Liebing, done by five exceptional Techno artists. For one of the remixes, Dustin Zahn and Decimal teamed up, Drumcell and Audio Injection joined forces for two mixes, and Edit Select also contributed two versions. Conversely, Steve Bicknell takes on 'Unforeseen'. With it's fast paced rolling bass it is now put into top gear shivering with feverish reverberations. ROD 2nd EP on CLR features 2 tracks that displays a style and approach he has not done before.
HKH touches the more peak time side of things, but by infusing some deep pads it creates a slightly more Detroit edge overall.
"Usually, I try to build my tracks around as minimum sounds as possible, but in this case all these lead sounds just made sense to me", says ROD.
The second track "GHT" sees ROD experimenting at a late trippy night and just flowing it out.
"This might be one of the weirdest tracks I have made so far. It reminds me it's always a good thing to search and experiment when your usual way of doing things doesn't inspire you anymore".

Distant is Rebekah's 2nd release on CLR, after the success of her first Cycles EP back in 2013, the long awaited second single Distant is veering towards a deeper side of this Artist's repertoire. Rebekah has been pushing her sound forward in the studio and has in the last year worked more and more with analogue synths and sequencers which is evident in the title track. Opting for a more broken beat and using a vast palette to create a soundscape that keeps the groove moving forward, which opens up with darker pads, maintaining the mood and feel. Distant Memory takes sounds from the original track and shapes it into something slightly different and unpredictable by Rebekah, showcasing a completely new element of this artists work. Its downtempo and slightly experimental but also warm and inviting. Synchronicity lifts up the pace and is a full out techno groove workout, Rebekah's signature kicks come in to play but is almost more elegant here, complimenting the Distant pieces but also holding its own within the more discerning of dance floors. STERAC has produced two fantastic remixes of the title track Distant, remix 1, is more of a groovier exploration where as remix 2 (digital only), leans to the more hypnotic side, both remixes are outstanding as expected from STERAC aka Steve Rachmad, modern techno at its best.

Both of them are excellent examples for a successful and tasteful crossing of genre-borders, a rare mixture of timeless song writing and cutting edge Techno. The haunting voice of COLD CAVE adds a warm and soulful feeling to the carefully crafted beats and atmospheres of studio wizard Bryan Black aka BLACK ASTEROID and it all results in highly entertaining electronic music with seriousness and depth. The third track on the EP is for all those who have learned to appreciate BLACK ASTEROID´s flawless blend of uncompromising Techno. "Freeze" is another milestone production, a manifestation of the outstanding skills of this experienced sound designer who started his career as the engineer of Prince and who later formed the critically acclaimed duo MOTOR. CLR is back with release number 83 and has something very special in store this time. Monoloc's latest effort offers a challenging mixture of various electronic music genres. Apart from the original version and the Monoloc Edit, which occupy the A side of the vinyl, two highly respected producers have contributed remixes to this project, making it an impressive assembly of potential A sides. Monoloc's original version underlines the capacity of the Berlin based producer, to create unorthodox, suspenseful Techno with a very personal handwriting. Once more the beat structure, treatment of vocal bits, the selection of sounds and the overall arrangement and production style make his productions easily recognizable and truly unique. His additional edit surprises with a mesmerizing and enchanting sequence, which could easily become one of those laid back after hour sunrise classics. The two versions alone would make a dignified EP already, but then there are the remixes by Roman Lindau and Rødhåd, which turn this release into one of the most diversified CLR releases ever. While Roman Lindau takes a House oriented direction and excellently works out the potential of the track on the more uplifting side of the musical spectrum, Berghain resident Rødhåd explores the dark side of Monoloc's composition and delivers a haunting Techno version full of well balanced bass, phasing sequences and an irresistible, almost tribal rhythm structure. CLR083 is one of those releases that characterises the direction the label has taken over the last years and is equally interesting to DJs from all kinds of stylistic branches of the scene. It´s available on vinyl as well as digitally and will surely grace countless record bags and playlists all over the world.

With the present four tracks compilation of exclusive Techno productions, Rebekah delivers the third and last part of CLR's new format, which consists of an hour and a half dj mix and two subsequent EPs. Once more, Rebekah has chosen a mixture of tracks by fellow CLR players and other colleagues she admires for their cutting edge, quality production style. Long-time CLR artist and mastering technician Brian Sanhaji contributed "Gyre", the first track of the release and a truly mesmerizing, acidic journey, which fulfills the usual, extremely high sonic standard the experienced producer is known for. The second track "Berkel" was produced by Dualit and is characterized by a comparatively laid-back vibe with a gently driving rhythm, irresistibly haunting atmospheres and sequences. It closes the A-side of the vinyl and leaves you with the urge to turn it around and keep listening. The B-side contains two more tracks by Bas Mooy and by Rebekah herself. Bas Mooy´s "Exile" is another good example of minimalistic, driving and hypnotic Techno with an extraordinary rhythm and a diversified structure, while Rebekah manifests with "Zero Point" what she is best known for: straight-forward, full on, banging Techno with heaps of positive energy from the relentless side of the genre. Her second "Mind Sets" effort is a thoughtful selection, a dignified continuation of the first part of the sampler and should be enjoyed loud on top-notch sound systems. Rebekah completes the first edition of CLR's brand-new vinyl/digital venture and once more recommends herself as a tasteful advocate of uncompromising, undying Techno.

With "Mind Sets", CLR artist Rebekah is introducing a new format on the imprint, consisting of an hour and a half mix and two subsequent EP Samplers for release. While the EP's in the series contain pretty straightforward Techno tracks by artists she admires, the compilation mix from the prolific DJ/producer known for her thunderous and relentless Techno beats shows a more experimental side of her musical spectrum. It features a skilfully arranged, suspenseful and haunting, sometimes edgy and sometimes spherical mixture of tracks, which can be easily listened to outside of the club as well.
The first of the two EP Samplers Rebekah compiled for this launch release consists entirely of exclusive productions which capture a moment in time within the continuously changing Techno genre. With their outstanding productions, Perc, Dark Chambers, Pfirter and Operator, the artists Rebekah had asked for their contribution, have delivered superb manifestations of this exciting moment in Techno history.
