Be As One boss Shlomi Aber returns to Chris Liebing's CLR with the 'Schema' EP, arriving 15th May 2026 alongside a remix from James Ruskin. Active since 1994, Aber has been a cornerstone of underground techno for over three decades, with his focused, hypnotic approach in both the studio and DJ booth leading to releases on some of the scene's most respected labels, including Cocoon, Ovum, Nonplus, and Figure. With the 'Schema' EP, he follows his recent 'Retrospective' EP for Ben Klock's Klockworks, as well as previous CLR outings such as the 'Limelight' EP (2025), and the 'Remote 101' EP (2023), which both kept a spot in the Beatport Techno chart for over two years after release, while winning support from the likes of Carl Cox, Alienata, Dave Clarke, and many more.

Shlomi Aber's 'Schema' EP opens with the title track and heads straight into subterranean territory, pairing weighty low-end pressure with tightly controlled tension. Rattling bass foundations are o?set by sharp hi-hats and static-laced textures that flicker through the mix, keeping the groove locked and the atmosphere charged.

On remix duties, James Ruskin, founder of the seminal Blueprint, delivers a shadowy, atmospheric rework. Eerie pads hang in the background as swampy bass anchors the rhythm, with haunted melodic elements slowly unfolding to create a deep, immersive take built for late hours and dark rooms.

Closing track 'Gasolina' sees Aber shifting into broken-beat territory, where warm, glitchy rhythms loop with hypnotic precision. Ghostly synth motifs drift in and out of focus, giving the track a cinematic, heady quality that rounds out the release with understated intensity.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro, and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene, such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

Chris Liebing's first full solo techno LP, 'Evolver' is released on 27th March 2026, via his own CLR imprint. The German techno don's LP features a host of collaborators across music, images, and artwork. Luke Slater, Charlotte De Witte, Speedy J, The Advent, Terence Fixmer, Pascal Gabriel, Daniel Miller contribute to the music, while long-time collaborators Studio Bergfors deliver design, and legendary photographer Anton Corbijn shot Liebing for the project.

The Evolver LP is the sum total of Chris Liebing's three decades at the beating heart of techno. It's the record only someone whose first break as a techno DJ was playing five hours at Sven Väth's infamous Omen in Frankfurt - and who has ridden out every twist and turn of life and subcultures since, while remaining rooted in the true school, dark, sweaty techno sweat pits of the world - could have made. It's the result of deep introspection, but it's about utter immediacy. It's the sound of someone previously driven along by compulsion and happenstance at last finding the confidence to be utterly intentional about their practice, allowing them to take the most classic, familiar, proven elements from the past and render them completely new.

Evolver is also Liebing's first completely solo album. There are collaborations, yes: with old friends from the OG techno generation, Luke Slater, Speedy J, and The Advent, all on uncompromising form, and with new generation figurehead Charlotte De Witte, who provides a thrilling narration of total surrender to the moment on acid clarion call "Symphonie des Seins". But unlike all Liebing's albums to date, there's no co-pilot. Every structure, every mixdown, every choice serves his singular vision of how his untold immersion in the surging currents of the world's greatest clubs should sound. The elements are all those forged in the white heat of Omen and Tresor in the mid 90s - brutal repetition, titanium kick drums, industrial atmospherics, but also dark rave euphoria, ever present surging acid lines just on the cusp of trance, and just enough human voices to remind you of bodies on the dance floor - but rendered with all the extraordinary accumulated skill and technological developments since then.

It's Chris's vision entirely, his musings on sound, technology, and life birthing tracks like "Roy Batty." Inspired by thoughts of AI becoming sentient and hungering for more life like Rutger Hauer's titular Blade Runner character, it was one of the first tracks to emerge and a foundation stone for the album. And in pursuit of that vision, it's built like a "proper album". The anticipation and menace of intro "Unfold" tip over into the glowing hot high drama psychedelia of "Symphonie…" then the breathless headlong rush of The Advent collab and on through an unfolding narrative that goes deep, goes dark, opens out into grand vistas, takes strange turns before finally landing on the alien landscape of… well… "Endtrack".

Not everything is pummelling on Evolver - the dazzling title track feels like you've been welcomed into the courtly dance of a higher dimension civilisation, and the audacious Speedy J collab "Shaping Frequencies" is a beatless flow that tests the boundaries between signal and noise. But for all its complexity, conceptualism, and stylistic branching out, every last part unmistakably powered by that dark techno-cavern energy above all else. All of it positively radiates the qualities of Liebing's greatest work and sets to date - but somehow even more so than before. Whether you're listening for aesthetic inspiration, cerebral stimulation or just that raw physical power, this album will sweep you up into its momentum and won't let go of you until it's done.

Chris Liebing and Charlotte de Witte announce their second-ever collaborative release, 'Symphonie des Seins' (Symphony of Existence). A surging acid-beast channelling mid-90s techno energy, 'Symphonie des Seins' sees de Witte delivering a tweaky, spoken
vocal comprising the hallucinogen-fuelled diaries of ayahuasca and DMT trip reports that Liebing stumbled upon online. Crisp
but heady, old school but utterly contemporary with its delivery, 'Symphonie des Seins' sees two techno artists with very
di?erent formative eras converge perfectly with a razor-sharp piece of dancefloor mayhem.

Following January's 'Roy Batty' EP, Chris Liebing and Charlotte de Witte's 'Symphonie des Seins' is the last single before Liebing's thirteen-track 'Evolver' LP lands on March 27th. ‘Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP’. Leading the release, ‘For Those Who Fight’ combines
sub-rattling kicks and siren-esque bleeps with rousing vocal samples and shimmering percussion for a
warehouse-filling club cut. ‘With Passion And Faith’ keeps the energy levels high with dubbed-out FX, twisted
atmospherics and sizzling drum machines.
While 2022 was dominated by Liebing’s ‘Another Day’ LP and remix version, ‘Another Night’, for Daniel
Miller’s Mute, 2023 will see Liebing in full-on singles mode with some notable collaborations to come.
Liebing’s iconic CLR imprint started in 1999 and returned in 2021 after a five-year hiatus. Now titled Create

The second track "GHT" sees ROD experimenting at a late trippy night and just flowing it out.
"This might be one of the weirdest tracks I have made so far. It reminds me it's always a good thing to search and experiment when your usual way of doing things doesn't inspire you anymore".

Distant is Rebekah's 2nd release on CLR, after the success of her first Cycles EP back in 2013, the long awaited second single Distant is veering towards a deeper side of this Artist's repertoire. Rebekah has been pushing her sound forward in the studio and has in the last year worked more and more with analogue synths and sequencers which is evident in the title track. Opting for a more broken beat and using a vast palette to create a soundscape that keeps the groove moving forward, which opens up with darker pads, maintaining the mood and feel. Distant Memory takes sounds from the original track and shapes it into something slightly different and unpredictable by Rebekah, showcasing a completely new element of this artists work. Its downtempo and slightly experimental but also warm and inviting. Synchronicity lifts up the pace and is a full out techno groove workout, Rebekah's signature kicks come in to play but is almost more elegant here, complimenting the Distant pieces but also holding its own within the more discerning of dance floors. STERAC has produced two fantastic remixes of the title track Distant, remix 1, is more of a groovier exploration where as remix 2 (digital only), leans to the more hypnotic side, both remixes are outstanding as expected from STERAC aka Steve Rachmad, modern techno at its best.

With the "Departing Comfort EP", CLR artist DRUMCELL has put together a heavyweight remix package for one of the tracks from his debut long-player "Sleep Complex". After receiving raving reviews and massive support in the international scene, the Californian dj/producer has invited some of today ?s most intriguing Techno artists to create their own version of his outstanding composition. The title is fairly self-explanatory and goes back to an emotion, which followed MOE ESPINOSA pka DRUMCELL all through his life. "Departing Comfort" deals with leaving one ?s comfort zone, facing change and exploring new grounds without caring about possible expectations, a challenging experience, skilfully manifested in the original version of the track. DRUMCELL is one of today ?s most extraordinary and promising electronic musicians and his way of expressing deep and truthful emotions with his characteristic blend of Techno is one of the most remarkable and recognizable trademarks of his work. To have LUKE SLATER ?s PLANETARY ASSAULT SYSTEMS contribute a remix is in itself a major thrill, but the result is even better than anyone could have expected. Elegantly driving, straightforward, deep Techno, perfectly arranged by one of the most experienced and popular underground players of our time - a more than dignified A-side. On the B-side of the vinyl we can find the ORPHX remix, which remains faithful to the broken beat structure of the original. It creates a suspenseful atmosphere and contains distorted rhythms and acidic sequences, reflecting the sonic roots of the original. The second title on the B-side is the MATERIAL OBJECT Remix, characterized by a big, hypnotic bass- line, slowly building with a variety of well-chosen rhythmic elements and textures.

It's his ability to drop a clever turn of phrase that separates him from the pack, but the strength and character of his production choices keep things clear of kitsch and make him a perennially hot-tipped cool-commodity everywhere from the great American EDM stage to the hallowed-haus of Panorama's deep underground credibility. For this, my most personal record, i hand selected remixers of the highest order. Cliff Lothar, absolute legend, and current king of the enigma groove, delivers an absolute masterpiece. It’s seriously a 10 on 10, and I never say that. Vinyl only bitches. Perth Drug Legend, somebody else who I kinda know and yet totally don't know (or I guess I just thought I knew) slams the 'gatti with raw tribal funk: again suitable for a warehouse or a particularly forward-thinking car dealership. Rebolledo, one of the few men i actually trust, comes in with a slightly electrofied extended party mix. God I’m happy. Full disclosure: there were a few people who did remixes that were rejected. I will reveal their names publicly in good time. Good day. T.
