Jonny Rock delivers two eclectic, dance floor driven gems which will no doubt firmly secure themselves in many a DJ’s record bag. Illusively named A1, the first track on the EP showcases Jonnys canny sampling ability. Playing with familiar sounds to create a unique and elating edit, Jonny shows us why he’s one of the best around. Jonny Rock is somewhat of a sorcerer, an omnipresent eye that gathers secret ingredients from far and wide—old school House oddities, hypnotic melodies of the Orient, the furthest reaches of Disco, the easy pace of Turkish psychedelic funk—fusing it all into his own shrouded code, a string of immaterial messages, both subliminal and lucid, that highlight his eccentric sense of storytelling and nuance. He imbues a sense of familiarity in his music, implying history that might not be studied but still feels learned, a quality inherent to productions born from a vast catalog of influence (and the inseparable sample material). Jonny conjures euphoric acid flashbacks, herds of crowds through Istanbul alleys, the misty morning residue from raves of yore, orchestral winds blown across the Aegean riviera, and he manages to concentrate their essence into singular details such as a snare drum. Both sides of his eternally-awaited ESP debut lean toward his dark arts—'Tye Die Techno' drives a relentless hard-edged drum kit that could throw an otherwise self-respecting Goth into a heated breakdance battle, while the title track and theme, 'Ode To A Happening On Earth,' plays with the imagery of ritual, fantasy and role-playing—but throughout this malevolent stew, there is a sustained hint of the artist’s playful nature. No matter how murky the trip becomes, Jonny is always there, a light at the end of the tunnel, with a big hug to reassure that everyone will be OK. He is one clever bastard—if you know, you know.

leading light in all techno artforms.
Along his long career and extensive discography, Dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways,
always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic
forms of electronic music. It was self-evident to Tresor Records to enroll Donato Dozzy’s talents for this
assignment, a nod to the seminal Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.
The result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. In Dozzy’s words.

Following the re-release of Drexciya’s essentials 'Neptune's Lair', 'Hydro Doorways', 'Harnessed The Storm' and
'Digital Tsunami', the reissue series continues with Transllusion’s ‘Opening Of The Cerebral Gate’ and the
‘Mind Over Positive And Negative Dimensional Matter’ 12” coming on February 10th 2023.
Produced by the late James Marcel Stinson and released in 2001 via Supremat, a short-lived sub-label Tresor
dedicated to a more abstract and experimental electro sound, ‘The Opening Of The Cerebral Gate’ was conceived as the second part of the so-called Drexciyan Storms – a whopping stack of seven albums by the
Detroit pair released under di erent monikers within a single year. This phase marks a groundbreaking time
for the duo, their cosmos breaking wide open, right at the dawn of a new technological era in electronic music

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Stinson and the releases of the Transllusion and
Shifted Phases albums. In recognition, the rightsholders, their families, and the label have commissioned
Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison to re-conceptualize the covers of Tresor's
Drexciya-related catalogue. These editions will be released sequentially, bimonthly, starting early-September
2022. The series is completed by the long-awaited re-release of 'Shifted Phases – The Cosmic Memoirs Of The
Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope' - at the end of March.

Following the re-release of Drexciya’s essentials 'Neptune's Lair', 'Hydro Doorways', 'Harnessed The Storm' and
'Digital Tsunami', the reissue series continues with Transllusion’s ‘Opening Of The Cerebral Gate’ and the
‘Mind Over Positive And Negative Dimensional Matter’ 12” coming on February 10th 2023.
Produced by the late James Marcel Stinson and released in 2001 via Supremat, a short-lived sub-label Tresor
dedicated to a more abstract and experimental electro sound, ‘The Opening Of The Cerebral Gate’ was conceived as the second part of the so-called Drexciyan Storms – a whopping stack of seven albums by the
Detroit pair released under di erent monikers within a single year. This phase marks a groundbreaking time
for the duo, their cosmos breaking wide open, right at the dawn of a new technological era in electronic music

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Stinson and the releases of the Transllusion and
Shifted Phases albums. In recognition, the rightsholders, their families, and the label have commissioned
Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison to re-conceptualize the covers of Tresor's
Drexciya-related catalogue. These editions will be released sequentially, bimonthly, starting early-September
2022. The series is completed by the long-awaited re-release of 'Shifted Phases – The Cosmic Memoirs Of The
Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope' - at the end of March.

Strangelove's latest release turns left somewhere near the edge of the Atlantic, with Electricidade Estética" documenting a vibrant window into the musical landscape of 1980's counter-culture Portugal. Compiling early un-issued works, DWART's organic Ash-Ra Balearics meld with spikey Iberian electronics, coalescing around the floating beauty of 'Mate', reissued for the first time on vinyl.
With emergent music technologies of the era enthusiastically adopted by Lisbon's avante-garde, there was a collective desire by DWART and their contemporaries to push existing sonic boundaries;- Post new wave sounds melded with distinctive local sensibilities. Vítor Rua & Jorge Lima Barreto of the legendary Telectu (whom Antoñio currently tours with) were regular collaborators while composer/ guitarist Nuno Rebelo and guitarist/singer Bernardo Devlin feature throughout.
Antoñio & Manuela Duarte's search for an artistic language melded a continuing curiosity with aural and physical dualities: experimental pop integrated with performance art, mathematics sound-tracked on canvas, organic found sounds at ease alongside synthetic drum machines. A predecessor to the esteemed Robert Johnson and a stepping stone for Panorama Bar’s very own nd_baumecker.
Founded by Playhouse masterminds Ata and the late Heiko M/S/O it was a Thursday club night that heavily featured house music as a prescription to the ongoing techno fever. Enamored with the US-American roots of it and all things deep, it not only presented the right records, but also their creators and protagonists. With a string of guest DJs from Robert Hood and Claude Young to Kerri Chandler and Theo Parrish as well as talent from the UK and Europe, it was one of the culture’s hubs at the time.
Here you have its testimony. Selected and mixed by Ata and nd_baumecker, it’s an authentic snapshot of the club’s vibe and spirit, spread over two 2x12” volumes, a collectable tape (download included) and a pleasant streaming version, it’s the full dosage. Italian-born artist Riva Starr collaborates with New York-based DJ and producer Todd Terry on This Is The Sound. Previously, the pair have remixed each other’s solo productions, but their joint project on Hot Creations signifies a new beginning for the acclaimed producers. Together, the pair bring Riva’s vision to life on the title track, weaving a classic-house-tinged melody with crisp claps, penning an irresistible groove. Peak-time in every sense of the word. Riva Starr serves his solo offering on Creator, evoking a darker vibe. Chugging drums thump between a squelchy acid melody, paying homage to the birth of acid house in the late 80s, chopped with more contemporary textures. Based in East London, Riva Starr’s roots lie in Naples, Italy. Having moved to London in 2008, Riva immersed himself in the UK tech house scene, playing across the country in Printworks, Motion, and Orange Yard to further afield in Pacha, Watergate and Space Miami. As a multi-dynamic producer, Riva’s discography boasts remixes of work by Dennis Ferrer, Fatboy Slim, and Claptone and solo releases on Defected, Black Book Records and his own Snatch!Records imprint. Grammy Award-nominated artist Todd Terry is a stalwart on the global house scene, breaking through in the mid-90s with the classic house heater “Keep on Jumpin” ft. Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown. Since then, Todd has produced a colossal body of work on Defected, Inhouse, Freeze Records and several others, keeping his sound aligned with his New York heritage and reinventing it with a fresh flavour.

Robohands, aka Andy Baxter, joins the Bastard Jazz family with a new EP titled "Giallo." Partly inspired by Italian Giallo (meaning "yellow") film soundtracks of the late 70s and 80s, as well as the experimental sounds of pioneering krautrock bands like Tangerine Dream and NEU! Armed with an old Juno 60 synthesizer, Andy wrote, recorded, and mixed all the parts himself, including the live drums, adding in multiple layers of effects. Spread across 8 tracks, "Giallo" spans atmospheric meditations ("Giallo;" "Claws;" "Relax") to jazzy improvisational explorations ("Fear"), interwoven with brief solo instrumental tapestries ("Horror;" "Float By Like Clouds;" "For the Different"). There is an elegant cinematic quality to the EP, further refined by Robohands' production prowess and technical chops. "Giallo" builds on the Robohands sound, taking it in an exciting, more experimental direction.

The MUSHROOM HOUSE compilation is a collection of balearic, afro and cosmic tracks that have been released on Toy Tonics EPs over the last 5 years. Original tracks and remixes by friends of the label: Auntie Flo, Rebolledo, Hyenah, Daniel Avery, WhoMadeWho & DJ Koze, Munk … and there is also legendary italian cosmic DJ Baldelli featured.
All these tracks are exclusively produced for Toy Tonics. A few had been already released before on Gomma records. The now sleeping indie-electronica label that was the „mother“ of Toy Tonics. It’s fun to see that these tracks seem not to get old. They sound still fresh and ace. Like the DJ Koze remix of WhoMadeWho or Munk’s Nigerian Jam. Now they all come together on double vinyl.
