DJ Minx has been a central figure in Detroit’s musical history since the 90s. Minx has hosted radio shows on WGPR and CJAM, held a residency at Club Motor, and performed at every edition of Movement since 2000. A long-standing force in Minimal and House with a discography stretching two decades, collaborations on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8, and his own Cynosure and Haunt Recordings labels, Shannon has carved out a reputation as a respected staple in the booth and the studio. Inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Möbius’ INCAL graphic novels, Mike Shannon’s ‘Off World Synthetics’ EP opens with ‘Synthetic Salsateca’, where a static groove drives a playful, squelching synthline. ‘Back To The Hood’ follows with rattling, mechanical energy before the fl ip reveals ‘Off World Sparkle’, its wonky sequences bending around rubbery low-end. Linking Cape Town and Southern France, Boogie Vice & N-You-Up follow their 2025 EP on REK’D and deliver a deep cut that slowly builds tension, its organic percussion and warm bassline leading toward a strobe-lit, tripped-out drop. On the ?ip of the second ‘All Rize’ remix EP, Japan’s DJ Sodeyama, under his The People in Fog alias, drifts into more hypnotic territory. Lush pads wash over a low-slung beat and bassline, trading the club for the walk to the after-hours by carrying Waheed’s vocal into something surreal and dreamlike. Completing this left-of-centre B-side, Timedance and Kindergarten’s Jabes twists the original into a warped, textural trip with scratching layers and distorted vocal fragments that pierce through a dense atmosphere. If Sodeyama’s version is the dream, Jabes’ is the chaotic counterpart that follows.

German House artist Oliver Dollar announces his ‘Contemporary’ LP on Rekids, arriving 21st November 2025. Since 2024, he has released four EPs on Radio Slave’s label, featuring collaborations with over a dozen artists and singer-songwriters, supported by the likes of Dam Swindle, Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, Hunee, Kai Alce, and more.Since 2011, Industry Standard label boss Oliver Dollar has become a trusted name in House music, he was one of the leading proponents of its Fidget subgenre in Berlin at the height of its popularity, propelling him towards releases on labels such as Snatch!, Classic Music Company, and Defected, alongside a reputation as a formidable collaborator that’s worked with the likes of Crazy P, Mousse T, and Todd Edwards. For the ‘Contemporary’ LP, he doubles down on this spirit of partnership, bringing together a transatlantic cast of friends and peers, linking Berlin and Detroit through a shared House vision. The album begins with ‘The New Is Here’, where Oliver Dollar teams up with Nils Ohrman for a soulful sermon that sets the tone with warmth and gravity, which was previously reimagined into a club-focused dub for ‘Contemporary Part Four’. Their version is a late-night, low-slung trip, with echoing keys and vocals drifting through deep basslines. Danny Howells debuts on Rekids with the ‘Throb’ EP. The legendary DJ’s DJ first EP for Radio Slave’s imprint sees him pair with keyboard player Elliott Herrington. Howells, a quietly revered figure in house music since the mid ‘90s, delves deep across the ‘Throb’ EP, which celebrates subtle drum programming, otherworldly keys and soundscapes throughout. The cossetting warmth of ‘Throb’, a track which tips the smallest of nods to Danny’s role in the heyday of progressive house, was born out of a late-night studio session - long forgotten about and then rediscovered, re-appraised, as so many great tracks are. ‘Thrunk’, another supremely heady cut, follows and sees keys slide around the mix, modulated and tweaked just enough to create a constant feeling of movement without losing balance, firmly rooted by a bassline that Howells, contrary to his usual practice, wrote first. Danny Howells is a darling of British dance music. Emerging in the late 1990s with the likes of the era-defining Jackpot Records, his journey in dance music has always been about music, which has seen him eschew frantic touring and production schedules in favour of doing what he loves. (2023 Repress) Safe Trip is taking one final deep dive into the warm waters of Italian dream house with Welcome To Paradise Volume 3, the concluding chapter in the label’s journey through the previously overlooked world of one of dance music’s most vibrant and influential underground movements.While the influence of dream house continues to echo through the ages, the style was at its peak between 1989 and ’94, when producers across Italy delivered a high volume of loved-up, wavy and occasionally blissful productions that fused contemporary deep house tropes – most notably from Chicago, New York and New Jersey – with elements borrowed from ambient, jazz and Balearica. It’s this six-year period that provides the focus for Welcome To Paradise Volume 3, which draws together a spine-tingling mixture of sought-after classics, unheralded gems and little-known delights from the original Italian dream house movement. Thrillingly, Welcome to Paradise Volume 3 co-curator Young Marco has managed to source two previously unreleased tracks during the dream house period: the gently unfurling, sunrise-friendly bliss of Jacy’s “Resounding Seashell” and a special “Longer Edit” of Neurostate’s brilliant “Dance To The House”, a track that – somewhat surprisingly – has never previously been issued on vinyl before. Elsewhere, there are plenty of treats to set the pulse racing, from the must-have deep house brilliance of Leo Anibaldi’s “Universe” – a rare foray into dream house territory from the Italian techno pioneer – and the Afro-bleep-goes-dream-house trip of Golem’s “Sun City”, to the cowbell-driven, New Jersey garage-influenced warmth of Deep Choice’s “Children Trip” and Cosmic Galaxy’s “Walkin’ On The Moon”, a Detroit techno-influenced outing with a deliciously saucer-eyed, extended ambient intro. You’ll also struggle to find a more inspired house record than Green Baize’s “Tramp Heart”, which mixes familiar dream house elements with spacey electronics and tribal chants that recall Italy’s early ‘80s Afro-cosmic scene. It all adds up to another essential selection of rich, glassy-eyed dream house treats tailor-made for sound-tracking drawn-out Adriatic sunsets, Mediterranean sunrises and loved-up parties the world over.

Almost four decades since it's domestic release, Karen Marks' 1981 single Cold Café has finally reaped it's deserved international credit to become one of Australia's most recognised minimal wave recordings. Efficient Space now showcases the Melbourne artist's brief but entire discography, including two previously unheard demos, all produced with experimental synthesist Ash Wednesday (The Metronomes, Modern Jazz, Thealonian Music).
A rarity in the then male dominated industry, Marks found her footing in music, first through rock journalism and then in band management. Formally of Adelaide, newly arrived synth-punks JAB (Johnny Crash, Ash Wednesday and Bodhan X) approached her for representation, subsequently contributing tracks to seminal 1978 snapshot Lethal Weapons and playing the Crystal Ballroom's opening night. Wednesday and Crash would soon dissolve JAB, enlisting Mark Ferry and Sean Kelly to create Models. Still under Mark's management, Models became one of the fastest rising new bands of the punk movement, playing to full houses of dedicated and frenzied fans everywhere. Sadly, internal frictions forced Wednesday and Marks to leave after two years, with Crash following three months later.
Her creative relationship with Wednesday fortified with the co-production of his 1980 machine-pop prank Love By Numbers, her swooning chorus uplifting his deadpan count to 100, before the two collaborated on Marks' own recording persona. Immortalised by the icy Oz wave of Cold Café, her Astor issued 7" also boasted the caffeinated flip Won't Wear It For Long - a should be hit with guitar from future Icehouse member Robert Kretschmer.
Fans know of one more recording - You Bring These Things, a forlorn arrangement of an otherwise unreleased Paul Kelly song, gifted to her by the revered wordsmith. The track only ever appeared on the Astor promotional LP Terra Australis, sinfully alongside Up There Cazaly and Joe Dolce - hard proof that the label grossly misunderstood her talent (Marks recalls their persistent requests to show midriff and cleavage). Locked in a dissatisfying label arrangement and at this stage unwilling to follow her peers to greener pastures overseas, she felt her only way out was to cease all further activities.
At the 11th hour of preparing this retrospective, two tracks unexpectedly surfaced via two cassettes - a paranoid demo version of her signature tune Cold Café, and a long-lost fourth song Problem Page. Both living room recordings follow Marks and Wednesday's ingenious framework of minimal lyrics, minimal chord progressions.

Almost four decades since it's domestic release, Karen Marks' 1981 single Cold Café has finally reaped it's deserved international credit to become one of Australia's most recognised minimal wave recordings. Efficient Space now showcases the Melbourne artist's brief but entire discography, including two previously unheard demos, all produced with experimental synthesist Ash Wednesday (The Metronomes, Modern Jazz, Thealonian Music).

Yuksek unveils his new album coming as 2LP and CD featuring a bunch of french finest artists on collaboration duty : Breakbot, Polo & Pan, Isaac Delusion, Zombie Zombie, Juveniles ... to name a few!
This fourth album marks a turning point, that of independence and letting go.
For the past three years Yuksek has experimented, collaborated with many artists for no other purpose than shared pleasure, and this album has stood out more than it has been thought out. It's probably his most natural album, the one that sprang up by itself.
At the release of his 3rd album Nous Horizon Yuksek had announced that it would surely be the last, tired of the music system, of touring, then the desire came back with a return to the sources, djing and music for dancing, the one we share, the one that we live with our whole body.
The Latin, Brazilian influence is very clear in his dj-sets, and his collaborations with Fatnotronic (Philippi & Rodrigo) as well as with Processman and his tribute to Hélio Matheus (Mais Kriola) confirm on this album this taste for the Brazilian sound and the richness of its disco and pop scene of the 70's and 80's (Marcos Valle, Gilberto Gil, Di Melo ...).
For some Nosso Ritmo will also sound more Anglo Saxon than the previous ones, perhaps by his uninhibited and more instinctive approach, by his direct filiation with artists such as Sylvester (on Into the light sung by Isaac Delusion) or his tributes to some 90's dirty house sound with G.F.Y. (sung by Queen Rose), This Feeling and Gourgeous composed with Confidence man.
We also find in this album Yuksek's taste for experimentation and destructured and ecstatic electronic pieces, especially on his collaborations with Zombie Zombie and Polo & Pan, on J'aime les Synthes as well as on Burning, produced with his companion longtime studio Jean-Sylvain from Juveniles.
Then there is love and gentleness as in his collaboration with Breakbot & Irfane as well as in Universal love, a sort of low-tempo psychedelic mantra, and a direct affiliation with the first French-touch sound on The Rollercoaster.
Yuksek has been making film music for several years and producing many artists, which has allowed him to refocus his personal project on his essence, his first love, the groove.
His fourth album is the perfect demonstration of this, a generous, modern and referenced dance music album, subtle, timeless and unifying, Nosso Ritmo, the rhythm that connects us.

Label bosses Dam Swindle dive into the label back catalog and compile 2 special edition releases of classics to celebrate 10 years of
Heist Recordings.
Founded in 2013, Heist Recordings has quickly become a go-to house label, giving rise to a vibrant scene of groove aficionados and all things
deep house. Now in the label’s 10th year, Dam Swindle take a moment to reflect on the great tracks that have come out over the years with 2
limited edition compilations of classics.
On this first compilation, the duo starts with the track that helped the label burst onto the scene: Their instant classic ‘The break up’. With its
vintage vocals, Rhodes chops and instantly recognizable bell loop, it’s easy to understand why so many people are still in love with this track. It’s
only fitting that this anniversary release for Heist goes back to where it all started.
The second track on the compilation is from the legendary Detroit outfit Scan 7: Their 2020 track ‘The Best is yet come’ from Heist’s 50th release.
The appearance of Scan 7 on the label turned quite some heads at the time, but in fact, it made total sense. The mutual love for house, key
grooves and that classic Detroit vibe brought Scan 7 and Dam Swindle together and the result was an amazing release full of Midwest electronic
funk.
On the flip, we’ve got Dutch duo Fouk with their first hit on the label ‘Kill Frenzy’, which kickstarted the rise of their signature sound back in 2014.
The release ends with 2 extremely catchy and strong house releases by Demuir and Adryiano. Demuir’s vocal cut ‘Werq. Feel. Gruv. Vogue’. is
one of the highlights in Demuir’s catalog and a showcase of the producer’s knack for sampling and writing a house groove. Adryiano’s piano
house track ‘Me and you and her’ is a perfect ending to this first compilation, showing us that great house music can be as simple as repeating
something over and over and over, until that groove is all you hear.
