Release Info:
Three’s a charm: U-Star, Noid and Droid! Of course, Dan Tyler and Conrad McDonnell have done way more than that. Better known as Idjut Boys, they were still there when the sun-of the summer of love went down and the acid house fever settled down. As remixers extraordinaire, party priests, dub poets or mirror ball hippies, they were broadening minds with labels like Discfunction and treating disco as a way of life. It’s hard to imagine the British club (and music) scene without their mark. Here is their long overdue return under the Droid umbrella. Reactivated for the needs and dance nerds of today, Droid initially had been designed for straight up machine music, fierce drums, electronic body music and bass heavy melodies in 2008. Following that template, Droid 0422 sounds like a cocktail made from Prelude bonus beats, Supertronics dubs and stand off between George Kranz and Curt Cress. Two well-crafted takes of each Dumme Willie and Schlagstock fill the proverbial boots of said influences and equally draw for your attention. An Idjut thing indeed. Fun fidelity guaranteed.

idjut boys - world 1st day ( Version Altz )
IDJUT BOYS started in early 90s, when House Music was heading for the bubbly, wild excitement, and they have always been active in an underground scene which has been drawing the line at the mainstream. Carrying on the tradition of House and Disco, they have ever played an important role in forming the House and Disco culture in UK, producing the intoxicating groove of Funk and Dub, which is the significant factor in House and Disco. They also have been supported and loved in Japan together with DJ HARVEY, even in the days when the scene of Club and Party was being reformed in 2000s, so to speak, Summer of Love "in Japan." Their longawaited 7" single is released from a label ALTZMUSICA, which is presided by ALTZ, who has made sworn friends with them since ALTZ's tracks "Yello" and "Tune In" were remixed by them in 2005. This work is an Edit & Dub work based on guitars and basses performed by ANDY HOPKINS, who is like an associatemember of IDJUT BOYS. It has dance groove which consists in a psychedelic perspective which, as it were, reminds us of the primitive, fluid wriggle before dawn. The groove is also positive energy. A remix by ALTZ, "VERSION ALTZ," on Bside is reconstructed in different dub work from the original, taking over the viewpoint of IDJUT BOYS. It is a version which has gained strength and experimental taste by more progressive editing and effecting.

Los Angeles' Droid Behavior celebrates its 15th anniversary with a two-part release from its principal artists. Over the last 15 years, Droid Behavior constructed, developed and institutionalized the West Coast techno scene with their lauded event series Interface. The label Droid Recordings fol- lowed with the launch of its first release “Negative 01”, a compilation of L.A. producers showcasing new perspectives from North American techno. The forthcoming compilation Negative 02 explores the label's vision from the voices that have laid its foundation, from the dark and strange, to the slightly experimental, to streamlined dance floor tools. Part 1 of the compilation delivers 4 tracks from L.A. techno stalwarts, leading with label head Drumcell. With releases on CLR, Dystopian, Detroit Underground and his own experimental label BL__K NOISE, Drumcell’s channels his diverse sound into a pitch-black banger in "Dividing" a thick chugging track with an undercurrent of hypnotic stabs, Pads and vocals.. The second track features one of the techno's most celebrated artists - Truncate. Also known as Audio Injection, David Flores turns in the ultimate DJ tool with “Down," a mastery of sequence subtlety layered on this introspective production. Droid cofounders and VRV label heads Rai´z contribute the most entrancing arrangement for Negative 02 - "Ephemeral Beings” which warns of social decay and encourages positive change via this and dark and beautiful composition. Longtime Droid resident Viktor Carrillo offers his debut release for the label with “Coma Walk” an ingenious application of the goa sound in conjunction with clever FM Synthesis which makes for highly effective mix addition. A second release will follow to celebrate this anniversary, featuring more from the Droid family including Luis Flores, Hyperactive, Subversive and Aaron Litchke.

On his first release for Droid Recordings, master sound technician Brian Sanhaji drops two hard, gritty tracks. A1, “Macronomena,” is an unmissable, surprising thrill. A filthy, grainy bass synth gets mangled by filters and LFO, pushed out of time, and forced back into a perfect, funky lock with the pummeling beat. Nearly five minutes in, the machine breaks down and falls apart, only to slam back into groove with new, jack-oriented elements. B2, “Synphone,” plays things straighter, manipulating the optimal gears and levers of the techno toolkit for an undeniable dance floor mover.

Kyle Geiger returns to Droid Recordings for a three-track suite of techno and rhythmic experiments, Jupiter Storm. A1(Jupiter, Hydrogen Edit) builds from a rumbling kick, slowly constructing a space of delayed tones and filtered noisse pressure aimed at the dancefloor. B1(Mars) takes things for a truly unexpected turn, borrowing some of Jupiter’s sonic language and reformulating a triple-metered groove with waves of noise and distortion. The title track, Jupiter Storm(B2) brings the full kick back into the picture riding the Mars rhythms against the standard kick for a track that’s driving and infectious.

Droid Behavior’s Luis Flores comes through with a 2-track ace for the label’s 20th vinyl release, Static Forces. Negative Pressure (A1) starts off with a brewing undercurrent of bass and hypnotically builds into a dizzied cavern of competing sonic forces and reverberant whispered utterances. Surface Tension (B1) takes an alluring shaken groove and reveals its drive as its elements make their way to the front, slowly pushing the track’s rhythmic intensity. Two tracks for long play and lost minds. Silk screened jackets on black sleeves.

Droid Recordings presents a new 2-tracker from the talented Argentian producer Flug. “Cognitive Process” burrows through the listener’s subconscious, starting on the A side with “Experience,” a polyrhythmic vortex driven by a buzzing, 2-pitch motif. “Senses” builds hypnotically around a single, repeating tone into a slamming, aggressive power. Both tracks keep things driving and fast-paced toward the 130 BPM range.

DJ SNEAK on Toy Tonics! Yes. It's happening. Another US legend joins the German house label. After Kai Alcé (EP on Toy Tonics in September 2023) and Joe Claussell who did an amazing remix for the label some time ago, now it's DJ Sneak. It makes sense as Toy Tonics stands for that funky mix of three main inflences: original amercian soul based house music, the italo disco heritage and the more London or Paris 1990ies wildstyle house sound. DJ Sneak reached out to the label last year giving his props and showing love for many of Toy Tonics releases and the guys immediately invited him to join the label with an EP as its also his sound that is getting so popular again with the younger dance generation. So here it is: 6 tracks (4 on the vinyl) that remind the classic, bumpin DJ Sneak sound. Full of energy and emotion. Perfect for the dance floors of today and great to introduce the maestro to the kids who love house now but never heard about the grandmasters.

Short info:
Simple Reality cements the short lived legacy of Coventry DIY group Skeet.
Emerging from a scene of first-generation punks and 2 Tone kids, Skeet was instigated by Gary and Nigel Meffen in 1981, fusing tightrope instrumentals with a Roland CR-8000 under the glow of projected visuals. After a cassette of their debut performance found its way to Kay Booth who worked at Inferno Records, the unsuspecting frontwoman took the liberty of adding her own vocals. Instantly embraced as a permanent member, Booth’s shy delivery and open-diary expressions of social alienation and romantic rejection hovered over the brothers’ scratchy guitar and agitated bass.
Playing as few as 10 shows, their unnerving minimalism was recorded in a suburban home studio, borrowing a reel-to-reel from Toby Lyons (The Colourfield) and a mixer from Jerry Dammers (The Specials). Record labels gestured interest until one day they were no more - no arguments, no official split, just a silent parting of the ways and three people taking journeys in different directions. Unheard and unloved in the vaults for nearly four decades, 'Brief Call' finally resurfaced via the Coventry Music Museum compendium Alternative Sounds Volume 1, followed by a micro pressing of the full suite on Chris Long’s Almost Unknown imprint in 2023.
Simple Reality now offers a definitive snapshot of these must-hear neurotic post-punks. Mastered by Skeet fanatic Mikey Young, newly discovered instrumental multitracks are restored alongside a live recording of their final stand. Performed atop of a trailer in a pub beer garden, the release-worthy desk tape adds three new tracks and a more energised swing at ‘Left On the Shelf’s apathetic techno-pop.

Internationally revered, multi-faceted artist Arnaud Rebotini arrives on Veyl with the new EP, 'New
Territory'. While venturing into a wide array of musical genres and sonic realms, the release is still
unmistakably Rebotini, fueled by infectious electro-body grooves and hypnotizing vocals.
From the utterly addictive, pulse pounding allure of 'Special A' to the more industrial techno strains of 'A
Noise Rose', Rebotini delivers a myriad of interconnected tracks which traverse fresh auditory
landscapes but maintain a common circuitry. The poignant, anthemic lyrics of 'No More Love (No More
Hate)' resonates loud and clear while the throbbing, Giallo flaire of 'Italian Sex Drive' sends shivers down
the spine.
'The Pale Eastern Christ' injects a haunting atmospheric mood while the title track is irresistible ebmwave that falls perfectly in between the lines for an indelible sound that only the French producer can
conjure. Rebotini’s work continues to shatter boundaries and fuse genres while essentially pioneering a
category all of his own. 'New Territory' furthers the legend and keeps us begging for more. More

Short info:
A humanity-reminding suite of miracle moments, Someone Like Me unites a geographically unbound cast of real people in pursuit of a meaningful connection. Taping their lived experience in economic studios in quiet English counties, Pacific Northwest woodland retreats and the big city bustle of Sydney and Los Angeles, these kindred spirits rendered sheer beauty in the process. Custom pressed folk songs of love, loss and the lord saviour.
Illuminating minor works from seasoned players such as former Syndicate Of Sound chart-topper Sharkey and late-era Canned Heat lynchpin James Thornbury, the collection simultaneously honours the fleeting amateurism of hobby musicians. With their one shot at tangible vinyl, freshman Lynne Ann Kingan realised her loose bubblegum rocker on campus time, while U.S. Navy recruit Fred Potts cut his unconditionally serene ballad remotely stationed on a Spanish naval base. Spartan production continues to reign with Jon Betmead’s hair-raising gospel, howling into infinite space, and Goldrust’s stripped back garden hymn.
Throughout the hour-long reflection, faith has an intermittent yet revelatory presence, most overtly with the divine choral soul of Seventh-day Adventist quartet Remnant. More subtly, Gary Ramey and Jim Kennedy both turned to song in their spiritual quests, offering their all to a universal power. An irrefutable compilation cornerstone, the National Office For Black Catholics showcased Charles Murphy’s lionhearted account of the Black experience at a 1971 concert. Five years earlier, high school seniors The Superwomen would use their hauntingly angelic harmonies to address racial inequity with a breathless take on ‘Lowlands’.
Reaching the furthest corners, Someone Like Me secures the inaugural licence of three homespun masterpieces. Discovered by fluke in the digital haystacks of Youtube and Soundcloud, Jim Huxley’s bedroom pop earworm melds peacefully into Charlie Webster’s synthesized reverie. Meanwhile, Hollywood’s John Agostino introduces us to the bizarre world of tax scam records, with the artist only now learning that his tender psych-folk demos were leaked via a 1977 bootleg.
Compiled and lovingly restored by armchair digger Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring/The Green Child), Someone Like Me pays due service to seventeen rarefied journals of truth and devotion. Adorned with visual artist Chris Fallon’s figure and flora dream extractions, the uniting songbook is further detailed by expansive track-by-track liner notes and a forward from San Franciscan poet Rod Roland.

Release Info:
Continuing its tradition of genre bending output, Veyl comes forth with one of its most innovative releases to
date. 'Still III' is a collaboration between Supreme Low (Jerome Tcherneyan of Years of Denial) and New
York-based MC, Sensational, who has been pushing hip hop’s boundaries for over 30 years. Tcherneyan
first saw Sensational in France in 1999 while meeting in New York in 2001. The two quickly connected and
kept in touch throughout the years when they finally got the chance to record material together in London in
2016.
With beats created mainly using an SP1200 (a sampler associated with hip hop golden's age and raw
Techno), Fuzz/Distortion pedals and dub units like Echoes/Spring Reverb, psychedelic modulations such as
Chorus/Flanger/Phaser and a modular synth, Sensational’s rhymes were totally improvised on the spot in a
3 a.m. studio session under heavy influence. The result is a powerful fusion of sound and style that shatters
all expectations and delivers an audio vehicle bridging past, present and future.
While not lending itself to categorisation, 'Still III' packs Narcotic beats, llbient, Dub, Noise Rap, Bass
terrorist, Freak Style, Raw poetry and more into an 8 track release which is unlike anything out right now.
Joining on the release are Tcherneyan collaborators Broken English Club, who appears on the ominous
opener, 'Doomed' as well as Years of Denial co-conspirator Barkosina, who, as always, mystifies with her
vocal presence on 'The World'. Also appearing, Meanad Veyl remixing 'Everybody Ready' and Belgian
pioneer hypnsokull finishes off the release in perfect fashion with a remix of 'Raw Shit'. More

Portable - The Spacetime Curvature (DJ Qu Remix)

Portable - Ripple Effect (Call Super Remix)
(colored eco vinyl)
Genre: House, Minimal, Electronica
Tracklist :
A1. The Spacetime Curvature (DJ Qu Remix) - A2. I Feel Stronger Now (Patrice Scott Remix) -
B1. Ripple Effect (Call Super Remix)
Short Info:
In the wake of Portable’s acclaimed album My Sentient Shadow comes a trio of remixes which expand
on his unique slant on techno and synth-pop. Finding three artists who reflect his own experimental
tendencies within dance music, Alan Abraham’s original productions head into unexpected new places
while retaining the physical, club-ready energy he manages to instill in his own creations.
A true auteur within techno, DJ Qu brings a sense of poise and drama to ‘The Spacetime Curvature’
as he patiently builds the track into a fierce peak time monster driven by snarling bass and his
signature sizzling, shuffled percussion.
Patrice Scott has a reliably smooth, immersive approach to deep Detroit house, and it lends itself
beautifully to Abraham’s melancholic vocal on ‘I Feel Stronger Now’.
Leaning in on the jazz dimension of his wide-ranging electronica, Call Super revels in the sweetness of
‘Ripple Effect’ and places delicate piano playing upfront before slipping into a relaxed, sentimental
kind of garage and eventually edging towards an uplifting, off-centre strain of house music.
Individual in their own right and yet naturally entwined with the emotional intention of the original
versions, this is a set of remixes which pay full credit to the source material while offering something
you won’t expect, like a great remix should do. More

Tin Man - Wrapped Up Acid
Tracklist
A1. Hidden Acid
A2. Swaying Acid
B1. Running Acid
B2. Wrapped Up Acid
Release Info:
Vienna-based producer and 303 maestro Tin Man returns to Acid Test for his first solo EP for the label in over 5 years. It's another impeccable outing of romantic acid variations, especially tailored for unforgettable dancefloor revelations.
Tin Man has been setting the pace for forward-looking acid lovers for close to two decades now, and on his 15th Acid Test appearance he takes the vibe back to early and proto-house roots, stripping back the musical elements while layering in the euphoria with four perfectly crafted slices of feelgood 303.
Opening track Hidden Acid already sounds like a long lost classic, with strings draped over bouncy acid and motorik drums, stretching out over nearly nine minutes, and beautifully capturing the feel of house music circa 1991. Swaying Acid comes in all propulsive, toms and congas setting the foundation for melodic acid lines to weave through your heart strings.
On the B Side, Running Acid is fully optimized for the autobahn fast lane - a gradual, slow-filtered acid meltdown that builds and releases in tandem with driving hats and vaporous pads that hang over the track like early morning mists. Wrapped Up Acid brings the EP to a fitting close, slowing the tempo for a low-key easy dance excursion par excellence - smooth yet spikey 303 riffs punctuate the chords that drift through with a hint of Badalamenti in the progression.
With the Hidden Acid EP Tin Man might hark back to more vintage times, but the emotive power is as strong as ever. The naivety of the ‘90s is instead replaced with a conviction behind the musical choices that brings even more weight to the heartwarming vibes. This is acid in some of the best shape it's ever been, enhanced and upgraded specifically for the dance.

Session Victim - Green Run
Time to welcome Session Victim back to Delusions Of Grandeur following some heavyweight releases on Toytonics and Rhythm Section International. The German duo show absolutely no signs of slowing down continuing to impress with their unique sound which combines organic live elements, fat, floor-filling beats and a deep, musical approach. Here on The Intangibles EP we’re treated to three original tracks spanning high energy jazz disco meets techno, soulful uplifting house and downtempo blunted beats. Opener Motivation features spoken word from Ras Stimulant backed by urgent looping Rhodes stabs and an uptempo disco groove. An instant Session Victim dance-floor shaker if ever there was one, the energy cranked up to the maximum without losing sight of that all important groove. Next up we have Dromedary Twist which keeps up the pace but goes deeper on the jazzy organ chords and lays down a heavy syncopated bass- line which ensures the funk factor remains present and correct. Rounding out the EP in fine style, Green Run drops the BPM’s as we head into lazy, hazy, blissed-out jazzed-up beats territory. Lush strings and layers of analogue synths come together on this simple yet enchanting little tune which compliments the other tracks perfectly and will appeal to fans of SV’s more home-listening output from their 2020 LP Needledrop.

Power Circle - Garden Of Peace (Yotto Remix)
2
Power Circle - Garden Of Peace (Shakra Mix)
Yes, after a hiatus of 15 months, The ReMix Collection makes a highly anticipated return as Yotto steps up to take on the Shakra Mix of Power Circle’s ‘Garden Of Peace’. Originally released in 1993, the track was an immediate Renaissance anthem, finding favour with all their key DJs. However, it became synonymous with one man in particular, namely, John Digweed, who cemented the track’s legendary status when he included it on his Journeys By DJ compilation the following year. Even today he’s been known to slide it into the mix, most recently episode 10 of his legendary Bunker streams. And the track has other contemporary fans too; a certain Mr. Plex was heard dropping it in 2020. In short, it’s one of those records that’s stood the test of time and grown in stature year on year. Now, its evolution takes yet another step as it joins the ranks of Renaissance’ flagship ReMix Collection series. Yotto’s modern interpretation is a high-octane juxtaposition of thunderous bass, rising pads and THAT vocal. ”Garden Of Peace is a record I missed first time around as a kid and had only heard on a mix, never knowing what it was, so when Renaissance approached me about a remix there was a strange sense of familiarity,” he explains, “The original is full of classic progressive house mystery and, while I took the whole thing apart, I wanted to keep that emotion with my interpretation.” On the B-side there’s a re-mastered cut of the original Shakra Mix, which isn’t released digitally and remains exclusive to vinyl only.
