Release Info:
What is techno if not a powerful conduit for energy? The movement of a sequence, the surge of an effects rush, the respondent reaction in every individual dancer and the moving mass of the crowd as a whole. Whether the frequencies transmit directly into the brain through the intimacy of a headphone reverie, reverberate through the architecture of a space or fill the formless void of the open air, techno’s potency to initiate and stimulate energetic events is profound. This is something Pfirter understands intimately, having spent more than 15 years exploring ways of manipulating the energy on a dancefloor.
Of course, energy is not just about volume and aggression. Tonality, spatial processing and composition can have just as profound an effect as the thump of the kick drum. On his new album Altered States, Pfirter proves that point by zeroing in on the cerebral, psychedelic elements of his craft across 10 incisive tracks. The Argentine producer consciously approached his second album (following 2019’s The Empty Space) with a minimal mindset, using a very focused set of drum machines and synths to achieve a consistency across the record. Captured over a short burst of creativity, it’s the sound of an artist pushing a limited array of tools as far as possible. Despite this concise palette, it’s not an album that repeats itself, but rather an extended trip that flows from one detailed, textured immersion to the next.
The dense, febrile waves of hard-oscillating ripples in ‘A Future In Chaos’ and the sparkling, off-key chimes adorning ‘Yearn’ all speak to Pfirter’s gift for extravagant, surrealist expression within his tracks. ‘Altered States’, by way of contrast, succeeds in its absolute immediacy – a piledriving statement of bleep-driven intent. ‘Boiler’ and ‘Convergence’ land somewhere in between, coiling around kinked rhythmic incantations which still push forwards with precision while offering a different angle from which to approach the dancefloor. Cementing the idea of the whole album as a listening experience, Altered States is bookended by ‘Venus’ and ‘Dissolution’, two minimal exercises in drone-oriented mood setting.
Pfirter understands the role of his music, and his own instincts as a performing artist. It’s crafted to be captivating for DJs as much as the attentive listener. Spanning linear rhythms and broken beats, moments of calm and writhing intensity, Altered States offers a multitude of energetic possibilities in the mix or as a standalone piece of music. Ultimately, it’s a masterful return from a leading light of the contemporary techno scene.

Short Info:
Pushing his sound further into leftfield-leaning horizons and textured atmospheric reliefs, Pfirter highly-anticipated debut long-player 'The Empty Space' finds the Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based producer steering across shape-shifting sonic rapids with poise and panache. Inspired by a fractal of elements including physics, sci-fi and Lovecraftian flicks, amongst many other things, 'The Empty Space' is a record that revolves around the experience of the voyage itself rather than the destination, throbbing with a vital pulse that acutely transcends all categories and genres, as Pfirter adroitly recombines techno's DNA into something truly and definitely his own. From the false quiet of gloomy lakeshores and riverbanks to post-industrial cityscapes, through barren no-go zones and tiny basements packed to the rafters, welcome into Pfirter's personal "empty space".

Tracklist EP:
1. "Procyon" - Pfirter. 2. "Rige" - Pfirter 3. "Procyon (Tensal Remix)" - Pfirter 4. "Closer To The Truth - Pfirter
Info:
MindTrip is pleased to announce the release of the label's 10th EP with 3 strong, synth orientated dancefloor tracks from label boss Pfirter and a remix by Tensal. The frenetic Procyon begins the EP, a dark, atmospheric and intense track. With its driving percussive flow, it's guaranteed to send whoever hears it into a feverish delirium. Up next is Rige, a more subtle and deep track which works a relentless groove alongside colourful metallic textures.
Tensal - also known as Hektor Sandoval and one half of Spanish techno titans Exium - remixes Procyon superbly for the third track of the EP and demonstrates his innate ability to craft interesting and fresh sounding techno. The EP closes with Closer to the Truth, a hypnotic, trippy outing where tension and energy builds relentlessly amid a backdrop of organic anologue hubbub, providing a perfect showcase of Pfirter's trademark sound.

Tracklist EP:
1. "Otras Dimensiones" - Pfirter 2. "Message 1" - Pfirter 3. "Technalog" - Pfirter 4. "Casus Belli" - Pfirter
Info:
Following on from the well received various artists series 'From the Lab to the Club', MindTrip 09 sees the return of label boss, Pfirter, with 4 brand new tracks, which encapsulate MindTrip's musical philosophy perfectly. The sonic soundscape of 'Otras Dimensiones' opens proceedings, layering dark and ambient textures. Tension builds throughout the track and really sets the mood for this record. Anticipation is finally rewarded by the opening bars of 'Message 1'. The apparently laid back, dark bassline gives rise to high frequency colour which serves to make this track a building cauldron of devilry, which is unrelenting in its pursuit of evil. This is Pfirter at his brilliant best and demonstrates his inimitable style flawlessly. The flip side of the EP picks up where the A side left off and opens with 'Technalog'. The dancefloor sounds of this eerie track are perfect for the dankest and grimiest of settings.
The final track, 'Casus Belli' is a driving statement of refusal to compromise. A powerful, dancefloor techno track whose rich analogue sounds blend together deep, fascinating layers and textures, hypnotising the listener as it ebbs and flows. This is MindTrip!

MT06 Info Text Pfirter is back with the sixth release on his MindTrip imprint, this time remixed by Italy and Spain´s finest: Lucy and Oscar Mulero. With a massive early support, this EP will be an essential tool for lovers of hypnotic, old school techno. This is MindTrip music!
Stroboscopic Artefacts boss took some time off to reinterpret ¨New State Of Consciousness¨. Armed with a dubbed out filtered synth and textured noisy hats, Lucy takes Pfirter´s original analogue recordings into the limits of contemporary production and beyond. Warm Up legend Oscar Mulero put his hands on delivering two different remixes: first, he takes ¨Iteration¨ into a trippy-sci-fi void, while he also provides a deadly version of 'New State Of Consciousness'; both with Mulero´s haunting and mind blowing touch. This new MindTrip package is wrapped up with a tool edit of 'New State Of Consciousness' made by Pfirter.

His talent for strong and captivating music is widely appreciated and it didnt take long before he got picked up by labels like CLR and Figure. A2. Emergency Area
A3. Green Rhythms

B2. Mono Groove
B3. Handsaw
Two years after the release of the acclaimed 'Emergency Break EP', _asstnt & Roll Dann return with their second studio collaboration on Pfirter's label.
The Spanish duo is back with 'Old Gem', a 6-track vinyl release showcasing their emerging talent and signature sound; powerful basslines and driving synths keep the pace high, perfectly distorted stabs create the rhythm, and haunting pads combined with sharp percussive elements generate the needed tension for a dark atmosphere. Meanwhile, a constant, steady groove remains pushing forward throughout the whole record.
This is a much anticipated physical record on our platform and is here for all wax lovers.

Tracklist 12’’:
A1. “Anti Routine”- Pfirter
A2. “Sleepwalker”- Fixeer
B1. “Mint”- Kuf & Dold
B2. “Biorritmo”- Jonas Kopp
Info:
The mutable nature of our lives leads to a constant pursuit of musical incentives. Last month we launched a new series on MindTrip aiming to bring together diverse sounds and musical backgrounds under a mutual project.
Mutable Minds edition II welcomes the very exceptional work from five of our favorite artists out there. The release opens with our head honcho Pfirter and his Anti-Routine that comes with his trademark modular effect and a well-constructed sequence. Sleepwalker belongs to Mexico’s finest techno export aka Fixeer who delivered a pounding track with great energy.
On the B-side things are getting deeper and more tripped out yet still powerful and intense with the Swedish duo Kuf & Dold and their track Mint. Mutual Minds II closes with a familiar name that is none other than Jonas Kopp who returns to MindTrip with a very interesting piece that comprises a narcotic feeling and space stabs.
The final outcome of the second Mutable Minds edition perfectly describes the musical perspective and ethos on MindTrip. Hope you enjoy this trip to the fullest.

'They Want To Fool Us' is a clear statement by Pfirter who delivers a raw, stormy techno track that keeps a melancholic twinge; while Stanislav Tolkachev makes his long awaited debut on MindTrip with a psychedelic, strong and driving interpretation of this original piece.
MT16 completely embodies MindTrip's philosophy around music created to take individuals on a higher state of consciousness.
This is MindTrip.

Tracklist EP:
2. ""Automa" - Diego Amura 3. ""Automa (Jonas Kopp Remix)" - Diego Amura 4. "Escape" - Diego Amura 5. "Poison" - Diego Amura
Info:
Pfirter and his label MindTrip are highly respected in the world of Techno. Being the main vessel for his own productions, it has also featured music and remixes by producers such as Chris Liebing, Lucy, Markus Suckut, Oscar Mulero and Developer, whilst also looking to support and break new artists.
The fifteenth vinyl release is in charge of Italian talent Diego Amura who makes his MindTrip debut following releases on the likes of ARTS, Planet Rhythm and Konsequent. Having played alongside leading DJs such as Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Rødhåd, Sleeparchive and Dax J, his reputation is growing substantially with each gig and release.
Diego's original tracks on the Automa EP incorporate a raw, analogue aesthetic, with a nod to the old school. Straight up jams ready for any dancefloor, they also have a feeling of menace and purpose from the twisted melodies.
Jonas Kopp supplies the sole remix, who to many should need no introduction following his influential releases on Tresor, PoleGroup, Ilian Tape, CLR and many more. His rework concentrates on a more hypnotic flow, instilled with sparks of energy, funk and deep textures.

Tracklist EP:
1. "Exoplanet War" - Farceb 2. ""Signals From Space" - Farceb 3. ""Unknown Shadow" - Farceb 4. "Hyperion" - Farceb
Info:
MindTrip presents MT13, which sees another young Argentinan talent - Farceb - making his MindTrip debut.
Farceb is a producer who's been pricking ears over the last couple of years with strong releases on labels such as Arts, Orioni and Circular Limited. He now joins Pfirter's imprint with his superb Signals From Space EP.
Exoplanet War sets things in motion and is a stylish, entrancing tune, which - if it wasn't for it's intrinsic energy and power - would border on the somniferous.
Next up is Signals from Space, a tough, brutal and percussive workout, punctuated by dark, organic synth stabs. This track builds and rolls along in a way dancefloors will love.
Unknown Shadow is a powerful, stripped down merciless lump of peak-time techno which cleverly blends atmosphere and hard hitting percussion.
The final track - the superb Hyperion - is a 6 minute, deadly exercise in pushing intensity and tension to (and sometimes beyond) commonsensical limits.

Info:
MindTrip presents MT12, which sees two young Argentinian techno producers - Alderaan & Mental Resonance - joining forces to create the Man from Earth EP. This record features 3 outstanding, original tracks and an explosive remix from MindTrip's fulcrum, Pfirter.
Right from the start, this release brims with menace and intent with Man from Earth 1, an unabated, dogged and single minded experiment in contrasting restfulness with forcefulness.
Man from Earth 2 is a fathomless, enigmatic exploration of the trippiest of techno. This deep cut provides a welcome ebb to proceedings but is by no means a compromise in any shape, manner or form, as it builds with furious intensity.
Opening the B side - just when you thought it was safe to look behind you - Pfirter's reworks Man from Earth 3, tweaking the yet unreleased original and making full use of his exceptional knack of creating tracks engineered fairly and squarely with the dancefloor in mind. Expect this cut to do serious damage on dancefloors all over the globe.
Man From Earth 4 is simply an undulating exercise in messing with the listener's mind. It is unfaltering and unapologetic in its quest to pull you into its dark void.

Tracklist EP:
1. "Ovadoca" - Tripeo 2. "Ovadoca (Juho Kusti Remix) - Tripeo 3. "Contortions (Jonas Kopp Remix)" - Simon Haydo 4. "Contortions" - Simon Haydo
Info:
For the its 11th release, MindTrip brings together 4 of the most challenging and interesting artists of the current techno scene, presenting two original tracks and two remixes. This record opens with "Ovadoca" from the highly productive Dutchman Tripeo, also known as Darko Esser. Ovadoca is a dark, meandering and trippy track which incorporates rich analogue sounds with a deep, rolling groove - perfect for parties which continue for days not hours.
The second track introduces Finnish DJ and producer Juho Kusti to the MindTrip imprint with his brilliant interpretation of Ovadoca. Juho's take on the track loses nothing of the original's quality and adds eerie tones, additional percussion and a new arrangement, making this version a club friendly roller.
The B side reverses convention and opens with a remix of the final track, Contortions by Jonas Kopp. As you would expect from the Argentinian, the track is a tough, driving chunk of techno. The mood undulates throughout and tension is expertly built throughout in this storming, peak time track.
The original version of Contortions closes the EP. Penned by Simon Haydo - who is well known for delivering consistently high quality music on a range of respected labels like Balans and Stockholm LTD - Contortions is a bass heavy track with a mesmerising hook which DJs and dancefloors will love in equal measure.

Info:
MindTrip is pleased to announce the release of the label's 10th EP with 3 strong, synth orientated dancefloor tracks from label boss Pfirter and a remix by Tensal.

Info:
MindTrip is pleased to introduce Part 2 of its new various artists series 'From The Lab to The Club'. For this EP, 4 artists - both established and emerging - were selected to contribute music which embodies the spirit of the series. This release opens in the strongest possible way, with 2 of techno's heaviest hitters, Chris Liebing and Pfirter joining forces to produce the driving, heavy and hypnotic '420'. Notably, this track signals a welcome return to production for Chris Liebing and shows his ability to create strong, dancefloor techno has not diminished. Next up is the highly talented Japanese producer Yuuki Sakai (Subsist, Warm Up Records) with 'Ballat', a relentless, percussive track enhanced by subtle, textured elements. There is no letup on the B side, which opens with the mysterious Obscure Shape's 'Back in Black'. This track promises to yield an intense and building atmosphere, which almost - but not quite - threatens to kill all those who dare to defy its menacing sounds. This strong release is completed with a contribution from UK producer Dax J entitled 'Revelations'. TRACKLIST 12” Vinyl
A - DJ Koze - Buschtaxi (Extended Version) 08:37
AA - DJ Koze feat. Marley Waters - Brushcutter 05:19
Info:
A-Side: Buschtaxi (Extended Version) - DJ Koze
Like an unleashed Tarzan, crashing through the skull directly into consciousness with his vine, Koze with Buschtaxi tears through the jungle.
With his unique recipe of psychedelic madness and spiritual potency, he picks up all the lost rave souls and drives them to a place no one knew existed.
Buschtaxi hits differently.
AA-Side: Brushcutter – DJ Koze feat. Marley Waters
A track like a displacement activity.
A deranged DJ Koze with a spinning brush cutter, alone in the desert – nothing to cut, just pure, unleashed power. The fight against nothingness.
Brushcutter isn’t music; it’s a trail burned straight through your consciousness.
It cuts deeper. Harder. Until the bigger picture comes into view again.

Info
WRWTFWW Records is extremely excited to announce the first ever vinyl release for Pizza Hotline’s brilliant 2022 full-length Level Select, originally only released on cassette and digital. The liquid drum & bass meets Y2K era video gaming aesthetics monster is now available in a limited edition transparent vinyl double LP with a glorious 45rpm cut, p
Entirely written and composed by UK producer Pizza Hotline (apart from "GLACIER ZONE", a collaboration between Pizza Hotline and DJ Total 90), the stellar 8-song album was initially released as a limited cassette in January 2022 and quickly gained cult status - making a full-on vinyl release quite the necessity. It’s here now with the the previously unreleased track "POLYGON DREAMSCAPE" (which sounds as magical as its title) and 45rpm cut for louder, bigger, deeper bass rumbling.
Spellbinding, atmospheric, and beautifully melodic, Level Select is a large scope dreamy adventure of liquid DnB filled with ambient escapades, ethereal jungle, high vibe breaks, and a heavy loving dose of late 90s / early 2000s video game influences. Hypnotic late night hype and pensive chill moods mesh with ease in a cinematic soundscape that re-contextualizes and gives a new life to a beloved music genre - LTJ Bukem, Peshay, the Wipeout OST or Soichi Terada's Ape Escape come to mind, and sounds and soundtracks from the Sony Playstation, the Nintendo 64, and the Sega Saturn resonate from the speakers. It’s all fresh with a subtle nostalgia and so much heart. An instant classic.
Press start.
Points of interests
For fans of liquid DNB, Video games, ambient, late night vibes, computers and clubs, Soichi Terada's Ape Escape, LTJ Bukem, Peshay, Wipeout OST, good music, good music on video games, playing video games all night and possibly all week.
Limited edition vinyl of Pizza Hotline’s 2022 cult hit album redefining liquid drum & bass with a Y2K video game twist.

B2. Empty Beaches
B3. In A Storm

B5. Closure
SHORT INFO:
In May, fans were treated to the first new music from Trentemøller since 2022. A new single, "A Different Light," showcased a stunning blend of prismatic space rock and folk. For anyone wondering if it foreshadowed the release of a full-length, Dreamweaver will drop in September, on Friday the 13th.
Featuring 10 tracks that traverse Trentemøller's many musical strengths, Dreamweaver also represents an obvious artistic leap, treading new ground while retaining the overall plot. Tracks featuring vocals come courtesy of of Iceland's Disa, who has been in Trentemøller's fold since the Memoria tour.
Dreamweaver's nylon string-led opening track, and first single from the album, "A Different Light," contains many of Trentemøller's trademarks: exploring dichotomies, musical shadowplay, Nordic frigidity, and warm waves. It opens the door for the steady, hypnotic "Nightfall," with its tetherless vocal, wistful guitars, and early morning desert chill. The third track in the opening trifecta, "Dreamweavers" finds its footing with a percussive soft trot, which starts after what feels like a shortwave radio scan in search of the right chords, eventually dialing in a weightless voice. Ostensibly keeping a ruminative pace with the previous two tracks, the song and, by extension, album soon opens up as the rest of the elements drop into place with a grand, luxurious burst.
Dreamweaver is about to enter its next phase. With the hatch blown off of the portal, the noisy "I Give My Tears," driven by its glissed and fuzzy bass line, pours into the void. It's followed by its sibling, the most chaotic track on Dreamweaver, "Behind My Eyes." Arriving as a piece of noise rock pandemonium, "Behind My Eyes," can't be contained in its plush vault. A whip-crack snare and convulsing guitars smash against each other in the song's verse chamber. The tension builds, as the particles collide, pushing past the point of critical mass, kicking off the chain reaction which is the chorus. At times it harkens back to the proto-gaze tracks that gave birth to dream pop, at others it newly defines what that is. There's no time to contemplate it, though, as the song disintegrates in a microphonic feedback instant.
A respite follows with the somnambulistic pair of "Hollow" and "Empty Beaches." Then, a moment of intensity returns as the soaring textures and tribal drum bursts of "In A Storm" take control, before being taken out with the ambient slo-core of "Winter's Ghost" and "Closure." This diptych wraps up an album which certainly feels on-script for Trentemøller, but is also much more psychedelic than previous offerings.
Dreamweaver will be released on Trentemøller's own In My Room label. It is an exceedingly immersive experience, bound to release any dormant hallucinations you may be harboring.

Release Info:
The reissue of classic and seminal releases from the Tresor catalogue comes round to Waveform Transmission Vol.
2 by The Vision aka Robert Hood which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
Released in the same year he left UR and his hometown of Detroit, Waveform Transmission Vol. 2 represents a
pivotal moment in Hood’s career as his move to New York with fellow UR co-founder Je Mills led to Hood
experimenting with a new work ethos through which he settled on his trademark sound.
Fast, aurally assaulting, yet funky - the release is techno as eective as it can possibly be; in this version,
remastered by Thomas P. Heckmann, we see the first results of his transmutation as Hood manipulates the raw
sounds he would soon distil into seminal works like Internal Empire and Minimal Nation.
Ever philosophical and spiritual, in the sleeve notes for the release Hood dedicated the release “to the form of
simplicity[,] the reasoning of vision[,] the understanding of where we came from and how we got here and to the
perspective we use to construct over destiny” - words which from our early 2020s vantage point almost foresee
the influence this intuitive work would have on artists working from Birmingham to Berlin and beyond over the next
three decades.

MARA is the debutalbum of Munich-based jazz group FAZER.
Short Info:
MARA is the debutalbum of Munich-based jazz group FAZER. The young musicians combine African and Latin rhythms with dubby basslines and melancholic melodies. The unusual lineup with two drummers (Simon Popp, Sebastian Wolfgruber), bass (Martin Brugger), guitar (Paul Brändle) and trumpet (Matthias Lindermayr) leaves an open space for unfettered improvisation. Through the concept of repetition and finely measured dynamics, Fazer create a drawing energy that can be felt directly at their live shows and has been captured perfecty on this record.

TRACKLIST
1. / A1 Multiplying My Absurdities 06:22
2. / A2 Punks In The Gym 07:12
3. / B1 Humanoid Fruit 08:41
With Multiply Your Absurdities, Helena Hauff delivers her long-awaited 12-inch debut on Tresor: a multi-colored inauguration, masterfully crafted by the inimitable Hamburg producer and DJ.
The title track Multiplying My Absurdities opens the record, with a slow burn of magnetic synths and numbing acid drops. Through its simple yet thrilling dynamics, it occasionally falls into playful skepticism, creating something truly unique, uncompromised, and beautiful.
Punks in the Gym is named after an infamous climbing route in Australia. As its namesake, the track mercilessly rises to a techno summit. It gets steeper and steeper with every bar, resembling a volcanic dance where 303 earthquakes shake the ground before eruptions. Once you're halfway in, there's no turning back; all you can do is keep moving forward.
The closing track, Humanoid Fruit, transports to an even darker prehistoric landscape. Synths bursts remind of fossilized Pterodactyls revived—a challenging but rewarding trip through acidic rain and the alleys of your mind. Originally released as the soundtrack for Teslaism by artist and filmmaker Bahar Noorizadeh, a 3rd person musical racing game featuring Elon Musk and his self-driving car/lover and life coach, as they drive towards a shareholder meeting in a post-gamified Berlin landscape. It premiered at the “Tresor 31: Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit” exhibition in 2022 and deals with stimulating skepticism about the emergence of a new era after Post-fordism that she calls Teslaism: "an upgrade to the system of production and consumption predicated on advanced storytelling, financial worldbuilding, and imagineering 'the look of the future.'" What has been once inspired by Helena Hauff's dystopian sound has now been made into an official music video for the track. Much like the video, Multiply Your Absurdities represents a journey into futuristic uncertainty.

Sven Väth - L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix)
Tracklist: (1) Sven Väth – L'Esperanza (Original Album Version) (DE-Q20-24-00009)
(2) Sven Väth – L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix) (DE-Q20-24-00010)
L'Esperanza (Hope) is undoubtedly one of Sven Väth's greatest hits. After more than 30 years, we are very proud to revive this timeless masterpiece for you on Cocoon Recordings. The artwork of the A-side is from the original 12" cover, which was released on Eye Q Records back then. Anyone who knows Sven recognizes that he has always felt free and evolved in terms of appearance and style. That's why we instantly loved the idea of Sven re-staging himself in the same pose but in a new guise. This picture disc documents a 30-year-long transformation, both sonically and visually. It is a beautiful journey through time and a true collector’s item.
A1: L'Esperanza (Original Album Version) 1993 Produced in 1993, this track has certainly not lost any of its charm over the years. Lovely string sounds envelop you in a cloud of comfort, while the filtered downbeat emphasizes this feeling of lightness. The catchy tune of the playful synthesizer melody invites you to close your eyes and start dreaming. Let yourself fall into a deep state of meditation and trance. The airy electric bassline comes with a charismatic power and opens a door to the subconscious, calling on you to dive deep. The atmosphere of this composition sits somewhere between drifting through the sea and hovering through space.
B1: L'Esperanza (Hardspace Mix) 2023 A revised version of the "Hope Will Move Mountains Mix" by "Visions Of Shiva" occurs on the B-Side in the form of Len Faki’s hardspace mix. Len is renowned for his elegant edits and refined modifications as part of his side project, this time delivering a stripped-down 135 BPM version that fits perfectly into the current zeitgeist. A club version of "L'Esperanza" that radiates a high level of euphoric energy, constantly pushing the rhythm patterns forward. All hands go up in the air at the latest when the piano part starts in the middle section. Let’s go back to the good old days of the original 90s trance sound since the cheerful arpeggio synth melody takes us along.
What is certain, you can't tell that either version has been around for 30 years.

Info
WRWTFWW Records is in a state of total bliss as it announces the release of the Pitstop Box compiling all 24 tracks from Japanese house music pioneer Shinichiro Yokota’s two acclaimed albums Do It Again and Again (2016) and I Know You Like It (2019). The collection, available on vinyl for the first time ever, is presented as six 45rpm-cut 12inches housed (!) in a superb slipcase box set created by Lopetz, designer, illustrator, typographer, and co-founder of Swiss graphic design studio Büro Destruct. Included as bonuses are two sticker sheets.
Previously only available on CD in Japan via cult electronic label Far East Recording, Shinichiro Yokota’s album discography finally gets a long overdue vinyl release in the form of a limited-edition box set housing (!) six 12inches and a total of 24 songs showcasing the house legend’s celebrated sound. With a production style drawing from a rich blend of funk, hip hop, electronic, and Japanese influences, Yokota’s music is loved for its simplicity, its hypnotic quality, and, most importantly, its SOUL – homegrown 90s soulful melodic club music…pure love!
The Pitstop Box, full of dancefloor treasures and sprinkled with downtempo gems, not only defines Yokota’s personal journey but also resonates as an essential contribution to the house genre and Japanese music in general. It includes his house hits (“Right Here Right Now”, “Night Drive” and the list goes on), a cover of “Simoon” by Haruomi Hosono’s Logic System, and a collaboration with his longtime partner and electronic music hero Soichi Terada.
Shinichiro Yokota began his musical history in Tokyo, inspired by electronic music giants such as Yellow Magic Orchestra and Kraftwerk. He co-founded Far East Recording with the great Soichi Terada (who also worked with WRWTFWW for the Omodaka compilation) in 1990. After releasing the now highly sought after Far East Recording album with Terada in 1992 (from which his viral hit “Do It Again” is from), he took a hiatus from music and, most notably, brought his passion for sports cars to the next level by launching Night Pager, a company he started with his wife, specializing in tuning sports cars and modifying limiters for competition racers. It’s this side of Yokota’s life which has inspired the design of the Pitstop Box. He triumphantly came back to music with the album Do It Again and Again in 2016, consisting of unreleased 90s recordings as well as new material, and followed it up with I Know You Like It in 2019. His work has influenced generations of producers, and has expanded Japanese house music's reach on the global stage. Experience it on vinyl now.
Full unadulterated pleasure forever - from night drives to dancefloors.
Points of interests
For fans of 90s house, NY house, deep house, sample house, jazzy house, soulful house, true house, also downtempo, funk, old school hip hop, Larry Heard, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Soichi Terada, sports cars, listening to house music in sports cars, listening to house music while driving at night, listening to house music to dance, listening to house because it feels good, good things in general.

Frank & Tony - By The End They Will (Octo Octa's Dazed These Days Dub)
12”, 180 gr. vinyl
GENRE/S: Deep House
TRACKLISTS:
A1. Cecile (with Eliana Glass) (Charles Webster Remix)
A2. By The End They Will (C.K Remix)
B1. Olympia (Timmy Regisford Instrumental Remix)
B2. By The End They Will (Octo Octa's Dazed These Days Dub)
SHORT INFO:
Frank and Tony’s long history together has produced many seminal moments, and the release of the Ethos album this year on their own Scissor & Thread imprint marked yet another high point.
The album saw the friends and long term collaborators produce a body of work that was both joyous, thoughtful and politically charged. Adding to that is this five track remix EP which enlists artists of a distinct pedigree to reimagine some of the tracks, and to stunning effect. First up is Cecile featuring Eliana Glass, the pianist and singer who graces a pair of tracks on the album and this EP. Charles Webster is responsible for the flip - a typically moody and atmospheric vibe brings out new layers in the original. Eliana Glass also features on Timmy Regisford’s remix of Olympia, which exhibits some of the New York legends greatest attributes - a hypnotic, uplifting masterclass ensues. Regisford’s instrumental version of Olympia is also shared here. Elsewhere C.K brings the heat with a rework of By The End They Will, creating a bumping, raw cut. The same track is flipped by Octo Octa, who takes the vibe fathoms deep and produces an idiosyncratic ravey version while honouring the spirit of the original.

YokoO & Bobi Stevkovski - Who Are You (Nu Zau Remix)
Partners of the mind and brothers at heart, French YokoO and Macedonian Bobi Stevkovski have come a long way together, and not just behind the decks. Having developed a “true, sincere and remarkable friendship” over the years, these two knew from the get-go that delivering “higher vibrational creations” through Satya was a non-negotiable. Being both men of depth and avid consumers of grooves, they produced two original tracks that will cause early morning hours dance floors to melt. Always aiming at bridging different musical worlds together, they invited Romanian groove masters Arapu and Nu Zau on remix duties. Needing no introduction, the boys completed the EP with rolling remixes that will indubitably keep everyone’s toes tapping at any time of the day or night.
