From the UK, South Africa, France and Australia, Inner Shift Music presents their Collective Continents II release, with Mark Hand, Platform 001, G-Prod and Leo Gunn. The EP starts with Take Some Chances which has Jazz influenced pads, chords and changes with an addictive hook, by Mark Hand who has recent releases on Soul Print and Apollo. Next comes The Last Letter by newcomer Platform 001 - a deep house track with some funk style house chords and an inspiring spoken word poem, which holds the listener's attention throughout.
On the B side we have the Gaugain brothers G-Prod (who have releases on R&S and Nightflight), with their track Horizon which has a more techy feel with its moody pads, melodic lead and subtle but driving bassline. The EP is complete with a whole other level of head-nodding depth and warmth, with Aheeoo which you would come to expect from Leo Gunn, who is noted for his multiple appearances on Deep Explorer.
Deep, jazzy, techy, warm and diverse, this EP is everything there is to love about deep house. More

The Alpha Transmissions EP is a new project from Dubbyman that has been long in the making. The always classy producer brings his trademark deep house sound to Inner Shift Music with label owners Brad P and Rai Scott getting in on the action. 'Transmission #1' is smooth, serene and dubbed out deep house with cosmic energy, while 'In The Space (Song For Joey)' is a more loose-limbed groove peppered with gentle percussion.'Transmission #2' first comes as a Man-Drake edit that is widescreen and drenched in prog rock guitar licks and as a Rai Scott remix that is more rolling and heady. As with his previous release "Planted Seeds" on Inner Shift Music, Gene Hunt yet again delivers with the "Distant Voyage" EP. Kayla Dream is aptly named as you are taken into a long atmospheric dream with a hard energetic Gene Hunt Chicago edge. Distant Voyage takes this journey into a more dynamic direction with even more energy and subtle unexpected twists. Last but certainly not least we have Open Up Your Eyes with contrasting abstract elements that you would never dream would work except, with Gene Hunt it does. As always he's ahead of curve with this three track EP being a prime example of his own unique underground style of dance music.

The first Inner Shift encounter with Ewan Jansen was several years ago on a pair of test pressings, from Mike Grant of Moods and Grooves. The label hadn't even begun yet, but Ewan created a huge impression and wasn't to be forgotten by them later. Ffwd to 2016/17, Enter: "Return to Hyperbola". The first track in, you get a good tech house / deep house vibe called 'Docking Lane', fully equipped with lovely atmospheres, a driving kick and intelligent chords. Next is Bulkhead, mainly defined by a full-sounding, broken beat rhythm and expressive keyboards. B1 is 'Deceleration', another 4-4 deep house number, but with a subtle quirkiness and over all moody feel. On the B2 is 'Perspex', featuring a funky bass, nice pads and elevating keyboard part. Don't miss out, Ewan never fails to impress.

For their sixth release, Inner Shift Music are proud to present their second various artists compilation. It features four different tracks from different producers each bringing their own unique yet interconnected deep sound to the EP. You may have heard of Jacksonville already, from his superb track (Tokyo) for Atmospheric Existence, as well as releases on his own imprint Doppler records. Following him is the very talented Jose Lau of Deepselect Records from California, bringing with him his signature, warm, intelligent sound, who not surprisingly had a recent release on Pulp. Next is the mysterious duo Gauss, who you probably know about from their imprint of the same name. Their rather excellent track brings a more techy edge to the EP. To finalise the deal, we get a stunning, lush, melodic track from Marco Nega, who had a recent release on Bumako.

Gene Hunt is a prolific producer with an un-mistakable sound of his own. And although an originator of the acid house sound from Chicago, he certainly didn't stop there. His music has naturally evolved over the years, often incorporating more mature melody and rhythm structures, but always in time with a proper underground style dance track. These tracks are a perfect fit for the direction and vision of the Inner Shift Music label as well, and for this reason we are pleased to present you with "Planted Seeds" by Gene Hunt.
