Richard Rogers' Black Booby re-edits return with BB07, which sees Chi-town original and Ron Hardy protégé Gene Hunt -a Black Booby veteran from BB04 - digging out more vintage DAT dopeness on the double-A-side; which features raw-as-hell analogue house workout '1015'(a take on the Dion & Tony track from his 'Chicago Dance Tracks' collection on Rush Hour back in 2011) alongside the very aptly-named (and appropriately drum-fuelled) 'Dr Roland'. Meanwhile on the B-side you'll hear UK house music OG Terry Farley sharing production duties with another 90s house veteran, Stuart 'Stretch' Silvester. From the UK, South Africa, France and Australia, Inner Shift Music presents their Collective Continents II release, with Mark Hand, Platform 001, G-Prod and Leo Gunn. The EP starts with Take Some Chances which has Jazz influenced pads, chords and changes with an addictive hook, by Mark Hand who has recent releases on Soul Print and Apollo. Next comes The Last Letter by newcomer Platform 001 - a deep house track with some funk style house chords and an inspiring spoken word poem, which holds the listener's attention throughout.
On the B side we have the Gaugain brothers G-Prod (who have releases on R&S and Nightflight), with their track Horizon which has a more techy feel with its moody pads, melodic lead and subtle but driving bassline. The EP is complete with a whole other level of head-nodding depth and warmth, with Aheeoo which you would come to expect from Leo Gunn, who is noted for his multiple appearances on Deep Explorer.

The first Inner Shift encounter with Ewan Jansen was several years ago on a pair of test pressings, from Mike Grant of Moods and Grooves. The label hadn't even begun yet, but Ewan created a huge impression and wasn't to be forgotten by them later. Ffwd to 2016/17, Enter: "Return to Hyperbola". The first track in, you get a good tech house / deep house vibe called 'Docking Lane', fully equipped with lovely atmospheres, a driving kick and intelligent chords. Next is Bulkhead, mainly defined by a full-sounding, broken beat rhythm and expressive keyboards. B1 is 'Deceleration', another 4-4 deep house number, but with a subtle quirkiness and over all moody feel. On the B2 is 'Perspex', featuring a funky bass, nice pads and elevating keyboard part. Don't miss out, Ewan never fails to impress.

For their sixth release, Inner Shift Music are proud to present their second various artists compilation. It features four different tracks from different producers each bringing their own unique yet interconnected deep sound to the EP. You may have heard of Jacksonville already, from his superb track (Tokyo) for Atmospheric Existence, as well as releases on his own imprint Doppler records. Following him is the very talented Jose Lau of Deepselect Records from California, bringing with him his signature, warm, intelligent sound, who not surprisingly had a recent release on Pulp. Next is the mysterious duo Gauss, who you probably know about from their imprint of the same name. Their rather excellent track brings a more techy edge to the EP. To finalise the deal, we get a stunning, lush, melodic track from Marco Nega, who had a recent release on Bumako.
