The ninth release on Curtis Electronix catalogue is from the new collaborative project where Kalean, Z.I.P.P.O and CEM3340 join forces under the name of Gravity Waves. The project is a reflection of the bond developed over a bunch of jam sessions down at the Curtis' basement, where they discovered to orbit similar spaces. As the title may suggest the sound is deeply rooted in the Detroit side of the electro utopia, with that heady and atmospheric approach. Satellite LP is a seven tracks Album where they combine moments of sub-aquatic and evocative synth works with dancefloor heavyness excursions which level of composition reveals a clear and undoubted mastery of the machines. All tracks are recorded and mixed in Bari, South of Italy.

A heavyweight classic! 'Don't Laugh' is one of those records, you know you've heard it, you may not who, what or where, but you know it! The original Winx mix is a classic, often imitated, never bettered, but the real gem here is Richie Hawtin's manic, almost borderline sinister 15+ minute reworking. Monster doesn't do it justice, tweaked out, narcotic, minimalist jacking gear. A dope combination of severe LOW end and some bracing sine waves that cut straight through. This one will surely test any club sound-system, if the venue is built for it you will know! This is one for the real heads, pure late night business oft overlooked for the more famous A-side, but trust us - Hawtin's mix will smash any dance! Comet is pleased to announce the third volume of the Afrobeat Makers Series: Nu Guinea - The Tony Allen Experiments.

By re-working the original magic drum patterns from the Afrobeat master Tony Allen, Nu Guinea created a compilation of tracks which is charged by a voluminous electronic jazz-Psyche funk imprint.

For this release, Comet Records teamed up with Early Sounds Recordings, the berlin label, also home to duo Berliners Nu Guinea.

The Naples formed, Berlin-based duo, is a project that arose out of jam sessions, melting synthesizers with instruments, containing a handmade sound that is not aiming for perfection but genuineness. It can be understood as a steadily shaping form, always open for collaborations with other musicians.

They've previously collaborated with singer Wayne Snow (fellow berliner artist on Comet) for the vocal edit of Nu-World, also delivered a remix for Wayne Snow’ ?Rosie Ep' both recently released on Tartelet Records.

Eaux proudly announces a new collaborative mini-album from label boss Rrose and Polygonia. Containing six tracks and over 40 minutes of music housed in a fully printed sleeve with artwork by Jon-Paul Villegas, the record focuses squarely on the dancefloor while infusing it with the kinds of psychoactive drones, intricate polyrhythms, and relentless modulations that have come to identify both of their approaches to sound. Featured heavily are their shared interests in sonic shapes that resemble natural forms and conjure tactile feelings, in this case related to themes of skin-like surfaces and circulatory systems experienced simultaneously on a micro and macro level. While several of the tracks hover in a flexible tempo range between 125 and 130 bpm, "Stretcher" reaches up to 142, and the closing track "Vena Cava" trades the kick drums for spectrally processed percussion and endlessly diverging high-frequency pulses. The story behind the release starts in 2022, when Rrose reached out to Polygonia after noticing that her tracks were appearing in their sets more frequently than any other artist. Never before had Rrose proposed a collaboration with someone they hadn't met before, but there was such an obvious connection in their approach to sound that it felt necessary. As it turns out, Polygonia had only become interested in techno after hearing Rrose perform at a festival in 2018. It all made sense, and they began sharing sketches and unfinished ideas with each other, trading them back and forth until they reached completion. Without any announcement of their collaboration, the two artists have since been asked to share the stage together several times. It seems there are other people out there sensing a connection...

Between a secluded cabin sanctuary, tucked away in the vast the stillness of Topanga Canyon, California, and a remote 18th century finca on the Balearic island of Mallorca, Spain, BATO BATO’s debut album was patiently guided into being. Three years writing and recording between these two locations brought the group’s collaborators - Julian Smith and Henrik Jakobsson, with Balearic legend Nestor Casas Oché on trumpet - to their most natural sound conclusion.
The music of Bato Bato does not just reflect its organic sound habitats; it absorbs them - the duo set up studio and outdoor field sessions capturing various local environments including percussive field recordings and ambient cave sounds. After a sell-out EP by Rahaan in the spring, Dublin label Fatty Fatty Phonographics returns to the home of house with two murky 21st Century excursions aimed straight at dark'n'sweaty dancefloors. Rahaan flips the script here with 'Secondo Coro Della Lavendie', a propulsive update of Roberto Di Simone's 1976 modern opera piece of the same name.
