This right here, a celebrated engineer Yas Inoue and Dj Takaya Nagase come together in the studio and rework the Voltage Brothers rare groove jam “Happening In the Streets” with a cleverly put together edit with filters, effects and sonically tweaking it to perfection. They've created a perfect dance floor masterpiece already championed by Louie Vega, Joe Claussell, Spinna, Mike Dunn, and Rich Medina. This choon has everyone in anticipation for it’s release. Japanese sound engineer Yas Inoue, based in New York began his career in the world renowned Maw Studios in the late 90s and has engineered for producers such as Masters At Work, Patrick Adams, Leroy Burgess, and Randy Muller contributing to the creation of various New York house and disco hits Takaya Nagase, a New York based Japanese Dj started as an A&R for Japanese record label Soundmen On Wax. He learned and studied under the great David Mancuso of the Loft Party NYC and later held his own Joy parties along with other Loft members. Having had regular gigs at Club Shelter from 2006 to 2007 and at Club Output from 2017 until the closing in 2019, he built his dj chops and now currently djs at New York City's top venues such as Le Bain, Good Room and Nowadays along with monthly shows on the famed Lot Radio in Brooklyn. Together they are Domo Domo and with their first project on Vega Records they are on their way to becoming New York household names in the dance music industry. Josh Milan has been recording music professionally for over 30 years.He's played every role from artist to engineer in the studio.This project, Honeysweet, focuses on his production and musicianship.Utilizing only one musician on sax, Josh plays every instrument and sings every note on this project. His songs are packed with soulful dance floor grooves inspired by iconic, soulful groups like Brian Auger, Cymande, Pleasure, Africano, Santana and others. "I wanted to do music that made me and my family feel good when I was growing up. It's the kind of music that families dance to at gatherings with a record player and no DJ”, says Josh. “Intros, Accents, Breakdowns, Bridges, and endings were all part of the music.” This music will transport Josh's audience to a place of musical freedom. In their 50th anniversary year, pioneering godfathers of Afro-beat, Osibisa reached out to global icon, Louie Vega, to bring a fresh collaboration to their new release, ‘Yo Luv Is Betta’, taken from their 2021 studio album ‘New Dawn’. Grammy award winner & multi grammy nominated Luisito Quintero grew up with the Latin American and African tradition of percussion. His father is just as much a percussionist as his uncle Carlos Nene Quintero and his cousin Roberto Quintero . He became a member of the Orquesta Simfonica de Venezuela , but soon appeared with ensembles such as Grupo Guaco and El Trabuco
Venezolano and toured with Oscar D'León .

He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony .

Louie Vega goes back to his freestyle music roots and collaborates with one of the top artists in the game George LaMond. Born in Georgetown, Washington D.C. LaMond has released over seven albums and has had many top club and radio hits throughout his career. He’s had a number one salsa smash with “Que Te Vas” which spawned an RIAA-certified gold album. It was in no time that Vega reached out to LaMond with an idea of going back to his freestyle roots and recording 5 artists from that genre of music. “George LaMond first up”, Vega says, “we wanted to redo a jam that was also played in the freestyle club world and is a vintage classic, the Spanish band Barrabas hit “Woman” was the perfect one to remake. Long Island dj/producer Frankie C was also working on a “Woman” remake and brought it to me for Vega Records. I thought George LaMond had the perfect voice for it, and when it came time for the session he knew exactly how to execute the song, I then brought in my Elements Of Life band on the rhythm section we were able to create a four floor percussive groove and a salsa version as well. The signature Barrabas electric guitar riffs courtesy of Mike Ciro, Gene Perez on bass, Axel Tosca on keyboards, and Luisito Quintero on percussion was a perfect fit!”. Grammy award winner & multi grammy nominated Luisito Quintero grew up with the Latin American and African tradition of percussion. His father is just as much a percussionist as his uncle Carlos Nene Quintero and his cousin Roberto Quintero . He became a member of the Orquesta Simfonica de Venezuela , but soon appeared with ensembles such as Grupo Guaco and El Trabuco Venezolano and toured with Oscar D'León . He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony. His First album “Percussion Maddness” was produced by Louie Vega & LQ and was released on BBE Records. Now 8 years later, re-released on Vega Records with 4 new tracks also produced by Louie Vega will be released on a double pack vinyl in two parts, one a double pack 12” and the second a double pack 7” vinyl. Louie Vega continues to expand the musical boundaries of house music with his unique ability to combine the essence of classic disco, soul and funk with the percussive energy that is the driving force of dancefloors worldwide. His new work is a second preview into the epic and forthcoming Expansions In The NYC album. This album will include selections that represent the many musical movements on which the House Music genre has evolved right up to the current time. “What’s going on in my world?” A simple lyric in the form of a question filled with enough ambiguity to encourage personal, beautiful interpretation. Whose world are we referring to - the macro world or a more individualized universe? Are those questions even relevant? More often than not, a small mutation in one world greatly influences the other and vice versa. The larger universe and our individual experiences are connected at the hip. As one goes, so does its partner. The debut single, “I Deserve to Breathe,” off of Louie Vega’s upcoming new album, brings together for the first time Vega and house music icon, Adeva, who garnered pop and radio success in the UK while gaining acclaim stateside with an epic cover of Aretha’ Franklin classic, “Respect.” Adeva’s vocal interpretation of the lyrics, co-written by Lem Springsteen (formerly of production duo Mood II Swing) and songstress/singer Leah Lorien, is so intricate and so full of life that it acts as an instrument in the song itself. She floats between sharp winding falsettos and deep percussive chants; all masterfully blended to create a momentous musical back and forth. Adeva and her powerful vocals are in complete control the entire time; they know exactly what sounds, pitches and melodies the song needs. Furthermore, the production feats that Vega and Springsteen collaborated to achieve are nothing short of spectacular. Their output will be a joy to all listeners because they created a grooving sonic experience, but more importantly, they created a rallying cry for the world and believing individuals within. Before hitting play, listeners will feel a hint of empowerment and reclaimed justice in the air because of the song’s title. The “Vince Montana Tribute” (Louie Vega and Rick Wilhite from Detroit Rework) is a heartfelt and masterful production in which 2021 Grammy Award Nominee Louie demonstrates his appreciation for the disco sounds that he grew up on in the iconic borough of Bronx, NYC. The inspiration came about through an edit Rick sent to Louie. Louie added some of his own editing touches, and the resulting track got big response whenever Louie played it at his headlining sets. Given Louie’s longtime love and respect for Vince Montana, he decided to create an even bigger musical project. Bringing in Elements of Life band members Gene Perez (Bass), Axel Tosca (Fender Rhodes) and Luisito Quintero (Congas), and then adding a piano line himself, Louie was able to bring out the most authentic disco elements of this superlative groove but rework them so they are exactly in the pocket for today’s dancefloors worldwide.
