Japanese sound engineer Yas Inoue, based in New York began his career in the world renowned Maw Studios in the late 90s and has engineered for producers such as Masters At Work, Patrick Adams, Leroy Burgess, and Randy Muller contributing to the creation of various New York house and disco hits Takaya Nagase, a New York based Japanese Dj started as an A&R for Japanese record label Soundmen On Wax. He learned and studied under the great David Mancuso of the Loft Party NYC and later held his own Joy parties along with other Loft members. Having had regular gigs at Club Shelter from 2006 to 2007 and at Club Output from 2017 until the closing in 2019, he built his dj chops and now currently djs at New York City's top venues such as Le Bain, Good Room and Nowadays along with monthly shows on the famed Lot Radio in Brooklyn. Venezolano and toured with Oscar D'León .

He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony .

The “Vince Montana Tribute” (Louie Vega and Rick Wilhite from Detroit Rework) is a heartfelt and masterful production in which 2021 Grammy Award Nominee Louie demonstrates his appreciation for the disco sounds that he grew up on in the iconic borough of Bronx, NYC. The inspiration came about through an edit Rick sent to Louie. Louie added some of his own editing touches, and the resulting track got big response whenever Louie played it at his headlining sets. Given Louie’s longtime love and respect for Vince Montana, he decided to create an even bigger musical project. Bringing in Elements of Life band members Gene Perez (Bass), Axel Tosca (Fender Rhodes) and Luisito Quintero (Congas), and then adding a piano line himself, Louie was able to bring out the most authentic disco elements of this superlative groove but rework them so they are exactly in the pocket for today’s dancefloors worldwide.

“What’s going on in my world?” A simple lyric in the form of a question filled with enough ambiguity to encourage personal, beautiful interpretation. Whose world are we referring to - the macro world or a more individualized universe? Are those questions even relevant? More often than not, a small mutation in one world greatly influences the other and vice versa. The larger universe and our individual experiences are connected at the hip. As one goes, so does its partner. The debut single, “I Deserve to Breathe,” off of Louie Vega’s upcoming new album, brings together for the first time Vega and house music icon, Adeva, who garnered pop and radio success in the UK while gaining acclaim stateside with an epic cover of Aretha’ Franklin classic, “Respect.” Adeva’s vocal interpretation of the lyrics, co-written by Lem Springsteen (formerly of production duo Mood II Swing) and songstress/singer Leah Lorien, is so intricate and so full of life that it acts as an instrument in the song itself. She floats between sharp winding falsettos and deep percussive chants; all masterfully blended to create a momentous musical back and forth.
