After shining a light on the Garage’n’Breaks of Persian and the Bump’n’House of Brian Bristol, the Mysticisms’ crew return with another reissue, to a source of love and inspiration, the epicenter of the 90s NYC club music’s explosion and development, with an EP from the music production partnership of Lee Rodriguez and Steven John Craden. Better known as the team behind must-have The African Dream double-header on Eightball Records, they were a feature, under numerous pseudonyms, on the early 90s NYC scene with appearances on a who’s who of labels including Movin’, Strictly Rhythm, Tribal and with Elements of Life, on Oxygen Music Works. Released as a 12”, a 2 x 12” and a CD album, the want of a lot of US labels at the time to mirror the success of Hip Hop saw an attempt to grow House ‘projects’ from club EPs to being seen as artists via albums and onwards. The limited success of that tactic wasn’t to the detriment of solid music and what the four tracks included here show is at their heart are talented producers who can encompass ambient, jazz and deep / spiritual House music with aplomb. Eclipse Part Four by Elements Of Life, the finale of the four part series bring the collection to a close. This right here, a celebrated engineer Yas Inoue and Dj Takaya Nagase come together in the studio and rework the Voltage Brothers rare groove jam “Happening In the Streets” with a cleverly put together edit with filters, effects and sonically tweaking it to perfection. They've created a perfect dance floor masterpiece already championed by Louie Vega, Joe Claussell, Spinna, Mike Dunn, and Rich Medina. This choon has everyone in anticipation for it’s release. Japanese sound engineer Yas Inoue, based in New York began his career in the world renowned Maw Studios in the late 90s and has engineered for producers such as Masters At Work, Patrick Adams, Leroy Burgess, and Randy Muller contributing to the creation of various New York house and disco hits Takaya Nagase, a New York based Japanese Dj started as an A&R for Japanese record label Soundmen On Wax. He learned and studied under the great David Mancuso of the Loft Party NYC and later held his own Joy parties along with other Loft members. Having had regular gigs at Club Shelter from 2006 to 2007 and at Club Output from 2017 until the closing in 2019, he built his dj chops and now currently djs at New York City's top venues such as Le Bain, Good Room and Nowadays along with monthly shows on the famed Lot Radio in Brooklyn. Together they are Domo Domo and with their first project on Vega Records they are on their way to becoming New York household names in the dance music industry. Grammy award winner & multi grammy nominated Luisito Quintero grew up with the Latin American and African tradition of percussion. His father is just as much a percussionist as his uncle Carlos Nene Quintero and his cousin Roberto Quintero . He became a member of the Orquesta Simfonica de Venezuela , but soon appeared with ensembles such as Grupo Guaco and El Trabuco
Venezolano and toured with Oscar D'León .

He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony .

Louie Vega goes back to his freestyle music roots and collaborates with one of the top artists in the game George LaMond. Born in Georgetown, Washington D.C. LaMond has released over seven albums and has had many top club and radio hits throughout his career. He’s had a number one salsa smash with “Que Te Vas” which spawned an RIAA-certified gold album. Grammy award winner & multi grammy nominated Luisito Quintero grew up with the Latin American and African tradition of percussion. His father is just as much a percussionist as his uncle Carlos Nene Quintero and his cousin Roberto Quintero . He became a member of the Orquesta Simfonica de Venezuela , but soon appeared with ensembles such as Grupo Guaco and El Trabuco Venezolano and toured with Oscar D'León . He then moved to New York, where he initially worked with Latin jazz musicians such as Willie Colón , Eddie Palmieri , Tito Puente and Celia Cruz . He then turned to the fusion of jazz, funk, salsa and African music and performed with George Benson , Herbie Hancock , Ravi Coltrane and Toshiko Akiyoshi , but also with pop musicians such as Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony. His First album “Percussion Maddness” was produced by Louie Vega & LQ and was released on BBE Records. Now 8 years later, re-released on Vega Records with 4 new tracks also produced by Louie Vega will be released on a double pack vinyl in two parts, one a double pack 12” and the second a double pack 7” vinyl. 'Underground Sound Sucide' is the most recent album from Loco Dice, it followed up 2008's landmark '7 Dunham Place' and proved once again that the Du?ssledorf based artist is in a class of one.

The Ultra Music released LP featured collaborations with artists like Just Blaze, Neneh Cherry, Miss Kittin, Chris Liebing and Giggs amongst others and showcased Dice's versatility with influences from techno to hip hop and beyond. Underpinning it all the album retained Loco Dice's chunky, bass driven feel and has made its way into many top DJ sets ever since release on October 30th last year.

Now Desolat boss Loco Dice is releasing an exclusive boxset of the album on vinyl, including a host of new remixes and limited edition items.

The reason this project is happening is because Desolat is a label that still prizes the physical format and inherent value of vinyl. As such, the whole thing, entitled the Underground Sound Suicide Box, is to be pressed to vinyl for a full physical release that will allow the exquisite sound design and rich detail to really shine.

The fine original cuts are being pressed across four 12" records, and on top of that, four separate remix EPs will also be included featuring classy reworks of the material by established names from the worlds of house and techno including Nightmares On Wax, Henrik Schwarz, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Kerri Chandler, Martin Buttrich, Robert Hood and Timo Maas among others.

On top of this, there is a custom made diamond shape metal USB stick containing all the material and bonus tracks along with four music videos to 'Get comfy', 'Keep it Low', 'Party Angels' and 'Sending This One Out'. The set also ships with a custom designed slipmat. All in all this exclusive material is packed in a handmade box and is available only as the DESOLAT USS BOX.

This collection is a must own piece for wax lovers and fans of Loco Dice, but also for fans of contemporary, club owning house and techno.
