"This limited release is a collaboration between Monkey Timers DISKO KLUBB and a Japanese record label from Amsterdam trusted by fans & artists around the world, Sound Of Vast.

Monkey Timers are gaining support in Japan and abroad as a DJ / production unit that is pioneering the next phase of the Japanese new house and disco dub music scene. They will be releasing their long-awaited full-length album ‘KLUBB LONELY’ in collaboration with DISKO KLUBB and Sound Of Vast as a 2LP set limited to 500 copies worldwide.

The album will be packed with collaborations with vocalists / producers / musicians from Japan and abroad including a cover of Dusty Springfield's ‘That's The Kind Of Love I've Got for You’ featuring Lisa Tomlins, who is known for her vocals on Lord Echo and Recloose albums. Also featuring are Berlin-based Mr. Ties; Keith Sano, a promising talent from Okayama who is gaining international attention; MIRRROR, an up-and-coming Japanese-American hip-hop unit; DJ Sammo Hung Kam-Bo (Omoide Baka Yarou ATeam); Marimba player Mami Tsunodou, who is a supporting member of cero, KIRINJI, etc. and many more.

Sound Of Vast welcomes the return of The Mole this November with his 'That Is Nice' EP, comprised of three typically twisted cuts from the Canadian-born Berliner.

Over the course of the past two decades Colin De La Plante, better know to most as The Mole, has unveiled numerous EP's, singles and albums via the likes of Perlon, Ostgut Ton, Slices Of Life and of course Sound Of Vast where he returns here following output in recent years from the likes of DJ Sodeyama as The People In Fog, Cinthie, Com Sin aka Cosmin TRG, Shinichiro Yokota and Akiko Kiyama from the Japanese imprint.

Opening the EP is 'Vetafit', laid out across seven a half minutes with bubbling metallic chimes, bumpy bass notes, crunchy drums and an amalgamation of intertwining plucked synth stabs. Title-track 'That Is Nice' follows, shifting focus to cut up funk licks, a walking bass line and tension building strings atop a dynamic, organic drum groove.

On the flip is '17 Day Parade' to conclude the EP, stripping things pack to punchy, modulating drums a wandering sub bass pulsations and warbling, intricately processed horns and stabs, once again we're treated to more weird and wonderful material from The Mole. More

Tokyo’s DJ Sodeyama returns as The People In Fog this June, delivering his new album under the alias, ‘1977’, first time in eight years via Sound Of Vast.

Yoshifumi Sodeyama better known to most as DJ Sodeyama has been a driving force in the Japanese underground electronic music scene for many years now, over the past decade and a half he’s been releasing his techno material via the likes of Nina Kraviz's ????, Dynamic Reflection, his own Arpa Records and more. Here though Sodeyama shifts focus to his The People In Fog guise with his new album, the alias was started in 2013 and is a project based on house grooves and unique beats. After the debut album ‘A Ray of Light’ was released eight years ago, he delivered three EPs for Sound Of Vast established in Amsterdam, among which, the ‘Higher’ EP turned out to be a big hit.

Across the ‘1977’ LP, named after the year Chicago’s highly influential Warehouse was born, Sodeyama presents a range of styles in the field of House, from percussive-led, hypnotic offerings like opener ‘South Jefferson’ and ‘Less Is More’, the jazz-tinged aesthetic of ‘No Boundaries’ and more groove driven compositions like ‘Come To Me feat. Monkey Timers’ and ‘Mr. Dub’ which lay focus on swinging drums, snaking bass grooves and chanting vocals.

The final three tracks from the project also shine a light on some acid house influences with a recurring theme of squelchy 303 lines amidst ethereal pad textures, dynamic drums and infectious vocal hooks.

‘1977’ presents the accumulative knowledge and experience of a DJ career which reaches beyond 30 years and further showcases Sodeyama’s passion towards music, all compiled into one long player. More

SOV's second release of 2019 comes in the shape of the ‘Life Of Dreams’ EP, courtesy of Romanian producer Vid aka Egal 3 who turns in three cuts of his signature hypnotic, stripped-back style.
Vid has grown to become a driving force in the contemporary minimal house scene in recent years both on his hometurf, Romania one of them most important regions for this sound, and across the globe. Racking up releases on the likes of Pleasure Zone, Andromeda, Brouqade and of course Sound Of Vast where he returns here for his fourth EP on the imprint.
Title-track ‘Life Of Dreams’ leads, laid out over thirteen minutes with murky atmospheric textures, warbling sub bass tones and eerie voices ebbing and flowing amongst a dynamic arrangement of organic percussion. 'Povestea Ei’ follows, rhythmically shifting things in broken territory via jazz-tinged off-kilter drums while poetic spoken word vocals, modulating synths and stuttering bass tones further fuel the mind-altering feel. ‘Povestea Mea’ then rounds out the release, this time round embracing a cinematic feel and employing emotive strings, bubbling synths and minimalaistic pops, clicks and whirrs at its core.

Here we see San Proper and The Mole make a welcome return to the imprint following solo EP’s, this time they join forces with Hreno for a three track EP from the powerhouse trio. Leading on the package is ‘Friendly Tears’ which features yet another leading figure in the house scene, Dekmantel regular Tom Trago, as you’d expect from such an impressive array of artists we’re treated so soul drenched house driven by swinging organic drums, infectious funk licks and hooky synth lines before the ‘Chunkless Mix’ strips things back a little, laying focus solely on the 80’s tinged synth work, delayed vocal murmurs and
minimalistic percussion.
‘On The Floor’ then rounds out the package, retaining a similar aesthetic with choppy guitar melodies, penetrating bass stabs, crunchy rhythms and resonant arpeggio synths ebbing and flowing dynamically throughout. More

With this re-issued version of EP, we show the identity of the "Unknown Artist", as someone already guessed he is the The People In Fog aka DJ Sodeyama, who released "Deep EP" in 2014 on Sound Of Vast. By The People In Fog project - he shows his 90s old school house side which he raised with. As this release containing not only the original version of “Higher”, but also includes melodic and dreamy remix made by the Japanese house renaissance "Soichi Terada", and "Dub Mix" from The People In Fog with a bit modern groove, this EP can be satisfied any kind of mood on the dance floor. A1 “Aftelnu” is starting with strong beat and deep/dubby bass line, then what makes different is kicking piano melody in the middle at unexpected moment, the combination between deep bass and piano is just perfect. B1 “Sidebyside” is the track made by just analogue gears, Egal 3 emphasized, you can feel the deep and tight groove made by analogue drum machine and modular synth, this full analogue groove is for sure working on the floor, touch people’s ears and heart. After releasing three EP’s in 2014 to great feedbacks such as “standing up house music label”, this January 2015 “Sound Of Vast“ is about to hit its 4th release with an even greater selection and range of house music. This new EP has a very unique sound, which is the result of Sierra Sam and Pascal Hetzel - two of Berlins most talented music producers - collaborating to make something a bit different from their usual style. They “wanted to make something dirty but organic”. Both tracks “Antennae“ and “Wild Things” could be described as very much acidic and raw. Their well built-up drum machine skills are perfectly combined with dirty and heavy acid synth sounds. Emotional melodies which emerge during the middle of the tracks make them even more exciting and involving. Truly the babies of passion and experimentation. The third track, “Fiction 2015“, is a more typical “Sound Of vast” style of track, that can deliver the right mood on the dance floor with solid drum beats and a futuristic synth,

For their second release, Sound Of Vast enroll revered Italian producer Niro who, delivers some of his finest work to date. Remix by Japanese superb producer Gonno (Beats In Space / International Feel). Amsterdam/London based label The Sound Of Vast was founded in 2014 by Japanese DJs Knock and Red Pig Flower. After it made great success of the first EP as an official imprint, the highly praised “The Shades” by Egal 3, For its second issue, VAST enrolls Italian revered producer Niro (unclear, DB Artists Musique and Memento) who, with these 3 tracks, comes up with one of his finest selection of works to date. Taking inspiration from the analogue sounds that permeate his musical landscape - and his studio - Niro just went with the flow here and put no boundaries to what was coming out of the speakers, a journey between land - with the classic Roland synthesizers to set the tone - and space - experimenting on a tripper and more colourful vibe. “La Cochonne Intergactique” is wobbling bass and flanger percussions introduce spacey pads and deep dreamy atmospheres, until a freaky melody breaks out and leads to a soft and slightly dark closing. Its remix brings the percussive elements and drums to the fore, giving a more muscular feeling and a bumpy groove, remix by one of the most respected Japanese producer Gonno (Beats In Space / International Feel). “Krissy Moon” is robotic bleeps and stabs play along twisted beats and computerized rhythms, like the soundtrack to some crazy German late-70s alternative SCI-FI movie, while “Tender As Asphalt”’s sweeps and filters frenzy opens up to bouncy chords and acid ambiences. Also to add more vast flavour into this release, Red Pig Flower's remix had complicated drum tricks and more emotional vibe, as lunatic as “Krissy Moon” indeed. More
