Hot on the heels of the Jaxx Madicine remix of Kyoto Jazz Sextet on Local Talk, Tommy 'Tubojazz' Garofalo - goes on a solo adventure once again. His previous EP "Unbreakable" had equal parts of soul, jazz and funk blended together with a house twist. The follow-up "Night Colors EP" shows both that and a deeper electronic side. 'Whateverism' is the marker of twenty years in music for Turbojazz, it is a celebration of his journey into the sounds and genres that have shaped his unique taste that is now internationally recognised as his trademark.
The album is a musical trip through Nu Jazz and Soul and the most modern electronic drifts of House and Deep.
In the collaborations you can find the LA acclaimed mc Dave Giles II - recently featured on the Honey Dijon track 'Work' and Beyonce 'Cozy' - the Detroit very own and Moodymann/Mahogany singer Nikki O together with the UK House master Sean McCabe and to top off the list, Japanese producer Brisa from Bastard Jazz fam.
All packaged with some of the most promising talents from the country he was born and bred-Italy, Sri Lancan/Neapolitan singer Sara Vanderwert features on the single 'You Are Worth It' and the Italian-Venezuelan Arya who sings the beautiful lyrics of 'We Lost A Night' on a duet with Losangelino rapper Demetrius Rhymes. Not forgetting for mention his long time close collaborator, with whom he shares the Jaxx Madicine music group, Veezo who is in charge of the keys and synths on most of the album.

Manchester's very own Mr Scruff and NYC crate digger Ge-Ology remix Moscow's Lay-Far! Now that's what we call a truly international release. It's kind of a dream release for us at Local Talk as both Scruff and Ge-Ology have been on our 'we wanna get them on Local Talk plastic' list for quite some time. Starting off we find Scruff going for a slight Disco(ish) rub where analogue synths bumps around with a dark but musical basement feel...but still jazzy! On the flip our man Ge-Ology who is riding high on the hype from his release on Theo Parrish's Sound Signature label goes on a deep and spaced out electronic house venture that is so edgy it hurts.

We start of with Que Pasa, a latin boogie number with a strong feel-good appeal…summer music! The second tune has a pretty famous jazz-bossa sample that most cats with a history of digging probably might recognize - possibly the best piano loop ever? Now, this release is really special. Warsaw's finest producer, envee (yes spelled in lower case) has been around the block since the early 2000s and is arguably Poland's #1 producer of underground dance music...with soul.
With a sound that often leans towards the UK underground, we thought that we should enlist one of envee's (and our) fave producers to remix his new Local Talk release; Manchester’s finest Zed Bias.
We asked Zed to give us that deep, soulful 2-Step rub but with a slight jazz edge and boy did he deliver.
Not only did he remix one of the tracks, he got so inspired and remixed both tracks...don!
It's proper UK deep UK 2-step / garage that will work in any (!) decent club. Yup it's that good.
We of course need to mention the original mixes from envee himself.
Sum Luv is a warm and melodic hip hop / soul jam with a slight Dilla(ish) backbeat. A proper tune!
