Maayan Nidam's second album New Moon has many different levels. Stylistically, the Berlin-based producer has created an 11 track collection of alternative electronic rhythms that combines everything from blissful broken beat, to surrealist electro, jazzinfluenced moments, acidic house, exploratory techno, and piano interludes. Psychologically though, there is much more going on. Clearly unfazed by constructing a bigger, more audacious picture, Nidam links her many different artist desires on this album through cyclical electronic expressionism. The album is expansive. Disparate influences and eras are joined together through a subtle interplay of contrast and tone. The beats, repetition and some occasional fruity whistle stops make the journey absorbing and multi-dimensional. Beginning with a downtempo treat called On My Street, New Moon immediately captivates you with a dreamy, sun-kissed afternoon feel. Worming its way through soft electro on Harmonious Funk (whose lyrics hint at a possible universal truth) it arrives at the quirky synthesizer jam, Trippin' Over You, which plays out like a strange ode to chemical love. The following
rolling bass-driven house of The Great Suspenders is a loose groovy bumper and perfect for those ever-so-serious after parties. Send A Pigeon then follows, and plays out like an electronic symphony of doom, with its squealing feedback and fluttery distortion evolving subtly, forever on the move. The album then takes you down another unexpected corridor with Undermine, which sees a fun, childlike melody slowly beat a warbled techno loop into submission. Sunday Sunday is its warm piano accompaniment. Disco loops, filters, delays, and a gorgeous vocal then clash on the short and sweet Lies In Love. And then, once again, we find Nidam playing with juxtaposition. She throws the impending unease of Last Moon, its warped vocals and twisted syncopated beats, together with the beautiful drifting electronica of Boastful. The track is hard to pin down - it manages to sound both like vintage pop and futurist electronica at the same time. Finally, Never Forever ends the album on a high note with perhaps a hint or an amalgamation of the album's base ideals: freedom, truth, and the cyclical nature of change. Ultimately, New Moon's wide variety of sounds can be directly traced back to Nidam's disjointed discography. As Miss Fitz, her sleazy hypnotic dance music has touched great European labels like Freak'n'Chic, Contexterrior and Circus Company, and she has also released reductionist woozy house as Laverne Radix on Oslo, its sub-label Love Letters From Oslo and Raum…Musik. Feel safe: like newborn, take your first careful steps on a clean slate while Maayan is your supervisor. Naïve and happy, you leave carbonbon footprints on your way into the positives. Then a faster pace: some tribal folk music from a tiny world, where people dance around an LED fire, commands a gallop to the one and ollam. Latinfection guaranteed.
Your nonplus motion interferes with environmental geometry. A memory from an analog past flashes like a daydream. Upward and rising, your smile workout succeeds while scintillating waves say “hello!”. Having grown up to a motorik being, the determined goal however never appears. The journey into a perfect storm is the reward. Maayan sends you some motivating words.
Then have a break and jump on the light train of thoughts to enjoy blurred reflections: on the water and in your mind. Sing your body beautiful and free. Words come in bubbles, a heart-throb away from a light tower. Feel like stumbling into new adventures on a pathless terrain.

Wareika invite us to their „Harmonie Park“, a place created by the love of improvisation. At the park, poles have shifted already! Florian Schirmacher, Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe, all full-time musicians, tuned their instruments to introduce us to this parallel universe. It.s about the various possible perceptions of one single moment. Loops and sequences, subjected to virtual tempo changes, without leaving the Bpm scale. In the park, everything is always in the flow. Jazz / Techno / Funk / House, all elements that appear / dissapear throughout the composition. Wareika manage to bring all this together effortlessly, without even thinking in those categories. The deeper you get into the park, the more you get absorbed by the dynamics of interlaced, polyrhythmic modulations. Luckily the groove acts like the park ranger, showing you around while
taking care no one gets lost in hypnotic structures waiting on the way. At the end, this pulsating soundcluster leads into the great river named bassline, leaving us quite harmonized..... !! This release comes in a special format !! We made „Harmonie Park“ available in 4 parts on 2x12“ Vinyl.

Only 2 years ago Ms. Dygas decided to produce her own tracks (thanks god!), that got released through "Contexterrior" and Tobi Freund's outstanding imprint "Non Standard Productions". After several releases on Labels like Context or Background, he started his own imprint "Süd Electronic" around 2002. Another Project named "Bodycode" was born and found a home at USA based "Spectral", the sisterlabel of Ghostly.His first "Portable" album was released at the end of 2007 through "Süd Electronic". Now Perlon is more than happy to welcome mister Abrahans on board with this incredible deep 12" entitled "Knowone Can Take Away". Two songs for eternity!

Plage Arrière is a deep sea meditation on a constellation of Greek beaches across three islands. Trumpets, echo-clicks and Harold Budd-esque shimmer piano whirl together on these sand-caked missives, tumbled and re-engineered by their surroundings like seaglass. Let's face it, no one really knows where they're going, so the best we can do is enjoy the ride -
a sentiment captured perfectly by the high altitude ambient of 'Flights',
Double Geography's new release on the Growing Bin.
Embracing the unpredictable, Duncan Thornley married melodic fragments with semi-generative computer process and random filter interactions, an aleatory approach to music therapy during the existential funk of the first Lockdown. The unhurried melodies, weightless within plumes of reverb and delay, conjure the feeling of long distance air travel with All Nippon - that pensive delirium stimulated by varying air pressure, broken sleep and the most welcome pause in your everyday life. Remote snippets of news reports, street noise and conversation, plundered from cassette dictaphone and a Spanish language tape the artist found in the loft sit low in the mix, the barely audible sound of the pilot and passenger, extras in your everyday experience.

Embracing the unpredictable, Duncan Thornley married melodic fragments with semi-generative computer process and random filter interactions, an aleatory approach to music therapy during the existential funk of the first Lockdown. The unhurried melodies, weightless within plumes of reverb and delay, conjure the feeling of long distance air travel with All Nippon - that pensive delirium stimulated by varying air pressure, broken sleep and the most welcome pause in your everyday life. Remote snippets of news reports, street noise and conversation, plundered from cassette dictaphone and a Spanish language tape the artist found in the loft sit low in the mix, the barely audible sound of the pilot and passenger, extras in your everyday experience.

array of machines that will take further action to communicate, supported by complex
polymeters. The repetition of measures and cycles of different lengths reflect the
repeatedly pronounced statements of a narrative of awareness.
Where music visionaries once celebrated the transfer of human creation into
machines, Chris Korda’s machines are creators themselves – creators of a safer
dance into the future. The machines speak to you with a sparkling, funky tone to gain
your confidence. Here are the rules of interaction: 1) Humans may not injure these
machines or, through inaction, allow a machine to come to harm. 2) Humans must
obey the orders given by the machines except where such orders would conflict with

Ich möchte ein Eisbär sein…Written by Martin Eicher after a nightmare in which he saw talking polar bears on the walls, and with music by the Grauzone crew consisting of Martin and his brother Stephan Eicher, Marco Repetto, Christian "GT" Trüssel, and Claudine Chirac (on saxophone), "Eisbär" is the most recognizable title from the band, a sublime mix of ingredients reflecting the transitional era it comes from - the raw energy of punk music still palpable, combined with the audacity of early electronics, the warm groove of a disco gem, beautifully fragile lyrics, and one of the best basslines ever. It became a mega hit, totally unplanned, but how could you resist such a track?
"FILM 2" is the ultimate b-side monster, a menacing all-instrumental pre-techno masterpiece, slowly building to a magnetizing frenzy. An instant underground favorite, it was famously heard played at both speeds depending on the scenes and DJs you were frequenting, 45rpm as it was first intended, and 33rpm for the cosmic experience (search Daniele Baldelli’s Cosmic C75 1982 mixtape online for a great example of this).
The maxi single ends with "Ich Lieb Sie", a synth-pop meets doo-wop ballad, a true love song oozing with innocence. Simple, stylish, and just right.
At the crossroads of post-punk, new wave, pop, and electronic experimentation, the Eisbär maxi offers three songs that are technically different but hold the same spirit, the perfect embodiment of Grauzone’s music - wild, unpredictable, and youthful, yet sophisticated, catchy, and ingenious. Echo Party get things started with a dub heavy, studio alchemy excercise in discipline that appears in an extended mix to the original form on Murray Collier (Dip Friso) & Hannan Jones’s self-released CD-R. Italian newcomer Guizzi features with a thunderous downtempo excursion with tight conga percussion in a DK/RAMZi vein that feels very at home on the label. Echo Party get things started with a dub heavy, studio alchemy excercise in discipline that appears in an extended mix to the original form on Murray Collier (Dip Friso) & Hannan Jones’s self-released CD-R. Italian newcomer Guizzi features with a thunderous downtempo excursion with tight conga percussion in a DK/RAMZi vein that feels very at home on the label. Der Opium Queen pulls off a propulsive, video game OST style dancefloor hit that brings to mind that Les Aeroplanes project on Jamal Moss’s Mathematics label from way back when whilst on the Side B a freak-folk skit from Memotone sits next to heads-down motorik from Lo Kindre and a bleep-infused dub techno piece by Toronto via Bangladesh real one Raf Reza. “We kick the label off with our inaugural release from label head Drum Dance; an eclectic four-tracker opening with ‘Zani!’, an outernational cosmic head-nodder meets Chicago footwork influenced ode to the great Zani Diabaté. Low-slung Latin flavoured boogie number ‘Body Heat’ switches up the tempo but keeps those limbs moving with its percussive four-to-the-floor beat, steamy disco vocals and jazzy keys. 80s jazz Balearic goes to Kingston for a bass-heavy dub makeover on ‘Venus Dub 2’.
Signing things off is ‘Adan On Dòt Soley’, a personal dedication to the beautiful country of Gwadloup. A common farewell in the local tongue, it translates poetically as “until another sun”. The track begins with off-kilter spaced-out synths and emerges into a dubby percussive jam featuring the gorgeous keys of Andy Wileman. Field recordings capturing glimpses of birds singing, waves lapping and the sound of gwo ka on the beach close things out, until another sun.”??
