Info:
Get ready and prepared for a very exclusive visit: Maayan Nidam welcomes you to the inauguration of a place that feels exactly like you want it to be, in every moment, with every movement, it just adapts to your preferences. Her sonic realm is an elastic and exotic wonderland, full of cozy challenges for feverish dancers, acrobat time travellers, shady lounges and lovers of small, clandestine gestures. It is a realm with many different angles and a wide perspective that opens the zone so one can marvel at its arcane resonance.
Lost in space and time, sounds from far away come together before your very inner eye to caress each other like they have never met before but ever belonged together. They form up to tonal episodes that tell stories of sublime darkness, sneaky affection, mystery and magic, dream destinations, and the wisdom of sound. They provoke the awakening of a drama that takes twists and turns to express all facets of sweetness and danger. Falling into a void of pleasure, the mindset feels soft and warm and thick like a forgotten layer of your favourite, padded memory. Time to feel comfortable and alert.
Welcome to Maayan Nidam's realm of Tech Blues Noir.

Maayan Nidam's second album New Moon has many different levels. Stylistically, the Berlin-based producer has created an 11 track collection of alternative electronic rhythms that combines everything from blissful broken beat, to surrealist electro, jazzinfluenced moments, acidic house, exploratory techno, and piano interludes. Psychologically though, there is much more going on. Clearly unfazed by constructing a bigger, more audacious picture, Nidam links her many different artist desires on this album through cyclical electronic expressionism. The album is expansive. Disparate influences and eras are joined together through a subtle interplay of contrast and tone. The beats, repetition and some occasional fruity whistle stops make the journey absorbing and multi-dimensional. Beginning with a downtempo treat called On My Street, New Moon immediately captivates you with a dreamy, sun-kissed afternoon feel. Worming its way through soft electro on Harmonious Funk (whose lyrics hint at a possible universal truth) it arrives at the quirky synthesizer jam, Trippin' Over You, which plays out like a strange ode to chemical love. The following
rolling bass-driven house of The Great Suspenders is a loose groovy bumper and perfect for those ever-so-serious after parties. Send A Pigeon then follows, and plays out like an electronic symphony of doom, with its squealing feedback and fluttery distortion evolving subtly, forever on the move. The album then takes you down another unexpected corridor with Undermine, which sees a fun, childlike melody slowly beat a warbled techno loop into submission. Sunday Sunday is its warm piano accompaniment. Disco loops, filters, delays, and a gorgeous vocal then clash on the short and sweet Lies In Love. And then, once again, we find Nidam playing with juxtaposition. She throws the impending unease of Last Moon, its warped vocals and twisted syncopated beats, together with the beautiful drifting electronica of Boastful. The track is hard to pin down - it manages to sound both like vintage pop and futurist electronica at the same time. Finally, Never Forever ends the album on a high note with perhaps a hint or an amalgamation of the album's base ideals: freedom, truth, and the cyclical nature of change. Ultimately, New Moon's wide variety of sounds can be directly traced back to Nidam's disjointed discography. As Miss Fitz, her sleazy hypnotic dance music has touched great European labels like Freak'n'Chic, Contexterrior and Circus Company, and she has also released reductionist woozy house as Laverne Radix on Oslo, its sub-label Love Letters From Oslo and Raum…Musik. It is under her birth name Maayan Nidam however, that she has arguably experimented the most, with releases on such diverse labels as Perlon, Powershovel Audio (who released Nidam's debut album Night Long in 2009), and Wolf + Lamb. Release Info:
A matter of pace, an analog memory…
Feel safe: like newborn, take your first careful steps on a clean slate while Maayan is your supervisor. Naïve and happy, you leave carbonbon footprints on your way into the positives. Then a faster pace: some tribal folk music from a tiny world, where people dance around an LED fire, commands a gallop to the one and ollam. Latinfection guaranteed.
Your nonplus motion interferes with environmental geometry. A memory from an analog past flashes like a daydream. Upward and rising, your smile workout succeeds while scintillating waves say “hello!”. Having grown up to a motorik being, the determined goal however never appears. The journey into a perfect storm is the reward. Maayan sends you some motivating words.
Then have a break and jump on the light train of thoughts to enjoy blurred reflections: on the water and in your mind. Sing your body beautiful and free. Words come in bubbles, a heart-throb away from a light tower. Feel like stumbling into new adventures on a pathless terrain.
Slowly and cautious, the novemberme, which is the one that approaches dawn, celebrates tristesse with a funny accent. Kick the blues with a beat. Somewhere lost but regenerated, find sisyphos’ generator of vitality. A nascent religious mood at the Autobahn service station fades into the fog.
Finally, the circle of pace is almost closed. After laughter of amazement, Maayan leaves you with a soothing mantra of confidence: an everyday ritual fun you should indulge yourself in. It comes in waves.

Wareika invite us to their „Harmonie Park“, a place created by the love of improvisation. At the park, poles have shifted already! Florian Schirmacher, Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe, all full-time musicians, tuned their instruments to introduce us to this parallel universe. It.s about the various possible perceptions of one single moment. Loops and sequences, subjected to virtual tempo changes, without leaving the Bpm scale. In the park, everything is always in the flow. Jazz / Techno / Funk / House, all elements that appear / dissapear throughout the composition. Wareika manage to bring all this together effortlessly, without even thinking in those categories. The deeper you get into the park, the more you get absorbed by the dynamics of interlaced, polyrhythmic modulations. Luckily the groove acts like the park ranger, showing you around while
taking care no one gets lost in hypnotic structures waiting on the way. At the end, this pulsating soundcluster leads into the great river named bassline, leaving us quite harmonized..... !! This release comes in a special format !! We made „Harmonie Park“ available in 4 parts on 2x12“ Vinyl. More

More

3
Harry Romero - - Revolution (House Masters Edit)
4
Prunk & Rona Ray - - Keep It Simple
Defected’s vinyl series continues to commit the label’s biggest digital releases to wax, delivering the best house music previously unavailable on vinyl. This seventeenth edition collates four unmissable releases from the first half of 2023. Opening the compilation, Grammy nominated producer and Saved Records boss Nic Fanciulli revisits his Skylark alias remix of ‘SOS’ by A’Studio featuring Polina, maintaining the bouncy, rolling feel of the original and taking dancers late into the night. Next up, BBC Radio 1 Dance Future Star and one of DJ Mag's artists to watch for 2023, Parisian DJ and producer Chloé Caillet remixes a record box essential, bringing her busy French touch and disco-inspired sound to Tensnake's iconic 'Coma Cat'. On the B-Side is the humble House Master Harry Romero’s update of 'Revolution', a powerful, modern Jersey jam, layering a familiar vocal loop over tight percussion. Closing out this massive collection is the highly anticipated Defected debut from founder of esteemed Amsterdam label PIV; Prunk showcases his signature addictive grooves on ‘Keep It Simple’, with Poland based Rona Ray on vocal duties.

B2 Dam Swindle feat. Jitwam - Coffee in the morning (dub mix)
Release Info:
Detroit Swindle follow up last year’s soulful highlight ‘The life behind things’ with some impeccable disco-funk on steroids: the Coffee in the
Morning EP featuring Jitwam. The ep features 2 originals, a dub mix and a stunning extended remix by Norwegian disco don Prins Thomas.
For Coffee in the morning, Detroit Swindle team up with India-via-London-to-NYC vocalist Jitwam, whose recent album Honeycomb on Tartelet
and his live collaboration with Kamaal Williams have shown the world just how talented he really is.
Coffee in the morning is more than anything a funk fueled disco bomb. The energy is set by a rolling bassline with a live touch (thanks to Xander
Vrienten) and percussion courtesy of their go-to-percussion-guy: Mauskovic Dance Band member Chris Bruining. The track bursts into action once
Jitwam’s vocals come in. His purple colored vocals push through with a full-on slapback delay, which adds nicely to the vintage vibe of the track.
The lyrics are fun in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way and deal with life’s more pressing matters like all the things you can have alongside your
coffee. You could argue that this track is not really about coffee, but something far more perverse, but that’s up to you decide. Back on topic: The
track takes a sharp jazzy turn once the saxophone is introduced (played by UK bred, Amsterdam based jazz dude Finn Peters), which moves
nicely between catchy riffs and completely berserk jazz-isms. Its the full on original that works best for us, but if you’re not really into coffee –or
vocals for that matter- there’s a more straightforward dub mix as well that steers away from all the breakfast related insinuations.
The a-side also holds the second collaboration, which moves into NY garage territory. Shuffling 909 percussion, live shakers and snares set the
vibe along with Jitwam’s vocals directing you to ‘Move out the way!’. The track is bumping, the bassline is thumping and the crowd could very well
be … (yes, it rhymes). The energy pitches up a notch once the synth hits come in and it flows up and down nicely into a section where strings,
Rhodes and cowbells take over into the breakdown. That’s where you get a moment to catch your breath, just before the full track comes back into
action again. If it weren’t for Corona, we’d see this funky house tune played at beach parties, rooftops, intimate clubs and house-head-gatherings
across the world for sure.
On the B-side, its Prins Thomas who takes you on a 10 minute long Scandi-disco trip with live drums and Thomas himself funkin’ on the bass. He
makes perfect use of the dreamy elements of Coffee in the morning, making his version an intimate and provocative dubby disco burner. If the
energy of the original is too much, this version might just be perfect for you.
This is a special piece of music for us that we’ve worked on for a long time and we’re really happy to finally share it with you. Let’s hope we all get
a chance to play the music out loud to more people than just your neighbors and your cat.
Yours Sincerely,
Lars & Maarten More

A few years ago, A-Trak got together with the pioneering house/garage producer Armand Van Helden to form the playful dance duo Duck Sauce, and they quickly scored a vast international hit with "Barbra Streisand." Now, nearly four years after that song landed, they're finally ready to release Quack, their giddy and engaging debut album, which features singles like "Radio Stereo," "It's You," and, yes, "Barbra Streisand."
The album is not a typical dance album but a whole lot of fun: Quack pushes the boundaries of house music and sampling into an absurdly visual listening experience, interwoven with skits, scratching and irresistible loops.

Portable - Ripple Effect (Call Super Remix)
(colored eco vinyl)
Genre: House, Minimal, Electronica
Tracklist :
A1. The Spacetime Curvature (DJ Qu Remix) - A2. I Feel Stronger Now (Patrice Scott Remix) -
B1. Ripple Effect (Call Super Remix)
Short Info:
In the wake of Portable’s acclaimed album My Sentient Shadow comes a trio of remixes which expand
on his unique slant on techno and synth-pop. Finding three artists who reflect his own experimental
tendencies within dance music, Alan Abraham’s original productions head into unexpected new places
while retaining the physical, club-ready energy he manages to instill in his own creations.
A true auteur within techno, DJ Qu brings a sense of poise and drama to ‘The Spacetime Curvature’
as he patiently builds the track into a fierce peak time monster driven by snarling bass and his
signature sizzling, shuffled percussion.
Patrice Scott has a reliably smooth, immersive approach to deep Detroit house, and it lends itself
beautifully to Abraham’s melancholic vocal on ‘I Feel Stronger Now’.
Leaning in on the jazz dimension of his wide-ranging electronica, Call Super revels in the sweetness of
‘Ripple Effect’ and places delicate piano playing upfront before slipping into a relaxed, sentimental
kind of garage and eventually edging towards an uplifting, off-centre strain of house music.
Individual in their own right and yet naturally entwined with the emotional intention of the original
versions, this is a set of remixes which pay full credit to the source material while offering something
you won’t expect, like a great remix should do. More

First Choice - - Dr. Love (Late Nite Tuff Guy Hypnotizin' Groove)
Legendary Australian Disco-fiend Late Nite Tuff Guy turns up the heat on the equally legendary Salsoul Records with 3 absolutely stellar reworks of some bonafide classics. Somehow, LNTG manages to tweak these old-school recordings and injects a thoroughly contemporary edge into them, making them sound brand new. Featured here are 3 stone cold Salsoul monsters, all respectfully handled and edited with care - First Choice's uber-classic 'Doctor Love' & 'Love Having You Around' (penned by Stevie Wonder & his then wife Syreeta, no less!) and Double Exposure's anthemic 'Everyman' all go under the knife in the best possible way! Beautifully mastered and featuring special Black & Gold Salsoul label artwork this special Record Store Day EP will undoubtedly be a collectors item! One for the Disco heads right here!

Wild Oats is proud to present the KMFH debut album The Boat Party. After a year of collaborative releases, Kyle Hall, under the alias KMFH, has produced a debut album; a fusion of original work, sample tracks, and raw edits. The Boat Party album artwork pokes fun at European summer boat parties and juxtaposes the destitute state of Detroit and its recent proneness to discarded luxury in financial crises. Mainly, the inability to leave and the sometimes pleasant isolation of a boat party is what the album exudes. The listener has a certain commitment to the material which definitely has its place on the dance floor. You can find tracks that have soulful, funky, and organic feels, while others have a more abstract, mechanical, and robotic sentiments. The Boat Party was carefully constructed which makes the album a cohesive mix of soulful etherealness and roughly raw sounds; KMFH's cueing into the true aspects of Detroit
