Berlin’s Cinthie has long been a respected figure in the underground electronic music scene of Berlin and further afield, heading up the Beste Modus and we_r_house imprints, as well as Unison Wax alongside Diego Krause amongst holding a residency at the infamous Watergate club in her hometown and recently opening her new record store in Friedrichshain, Elevate. It’s clear to see electronic music scene plays a huge part in Cinthie’s life and here we see her adding another label to her already impressive coterie of imprints, namely 803 Crystalgrooves, a platform for her own material edging towards more classic, raw House sounds in contrast to the deeper more stripped back sounds heard across the other labels.
Leading on the package is the anthemic heavy hitter ‘Together’, a heady House groove fuelled by a filtered, funk-infused bass line, bright organ chords and bumpy 909 drums, the result is an emotive slice of peak-time house to kick start the EP.x
‘Ada Lovelace’ follows and tips the focus over to dusty, swinging drum sounds and an amalgamation of choppy disco string and vocal samples all intricately programmed to create a dynamic dance floor workout. ‘No Need To Worry’ then rounds out the package with murky bass tones, wandering stab sequences and stripped-back shuffled percussion to close the package on a more dark and brooding tip.

Europe's first lady of House is back on Heist with a massive new EP and a Demi Riquísimo remix.
Cinthie’s 2023 Piano Heaven EP on Heist was a big release for both her and the label, getting tons of airplay and support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Chloe Caillet and Blessed Madonna. The Dam Swindle remix of ‘Won’t u take me’ that followed on that year’s Round Up is still among her top tracks on any platform. Cinthie now returns to Heist with an EP full of dancefloor weapons that range from classic grooving house to quirky rave.
With her frequent plays at renowned clubs all over the world, as well as spots in her Berlin back yard like Panorama bar, Cinthie has the ideal testing grounds for new peak-time material. And that’s exactly what the A1 ‘Deep inside love’ is: an epic peaktime weapon. With a stomping beat and signature uplifting keys, she serves up themes of classic 80s and 90s house music with a modern aesthetic. With that, Deep inside love has all the ingredients to become an instant Heist classic.
The A2 shows us Cinthie’s rave side, where we see her inspiration from the current dancefloor high octane energy. Or maybe it’s just her early rave days that are finally back in the limelight after her well received ‘Rave Baby’ release on Aus Music. Either way, ‘Higher’ is a fun tune with an infectious beat, classic rave stabs and a female vocal telling us to take her higher. We’re sure that this won’t be a problem, cause this track is built for those clubby highs.
‘Get up’ is a lovely organ-led track with long ethereal strings and dubby vocal chops. The breakdown deepens the mood with some heavy chords tuned in true house style before a free-flowing drum roll (crashes and claps included) catapult you into back into the full groove.
We asked close friend Demi Riquísimo, a man not unfamiliar with dancefloor wizardry himself as head honcho of Semi Delicious records, for a remix on ‘Higher’. His version is exactly what you’d expect from a class producer like him: it’s a breezy, effortless, mildly throwbacky and most definitely fun remix to conclude an EP that navigates through all kinds of moods with one clear goal in mind: Make people dance.

This EP is the third in a run of four releases from different artists to mark the 200th outing of Will
Saul's influential Aus Music. It is an era-defining label that has platformed some of the scene's
brightest stars way before they broke out. Since launching in 2006, the label has remained dedicated to releasing club-ready music with a cultured edge from deep and melodic house to the earliest bass-driven post-dubstep fusions.
Cinthie pushes herself into a more ravey fast-paced direction with her lead single 'Rave Baby'. The well swung kicks are full of warmth as a nimble bassline phrase gets hands in the air and crisp percussion cuts up the beats. It's peak-time fun that completely takes off with the raved-up piano stabs and a steamy female vocal. 'I Warned You Baby' sinks into a deeper groove that harks back to 90s New Jersey with diffuse chords, Nu Groove style vocals and punchy drum programming full of good vibes. Closer 'What's Poppin'' is passionate house music with depth and drive. Raw percussion, turbo-charged retro stabs and another standout bassline make it a high-class weapon.

Cinthie joins the Heist fam with an EP full of lush, epic house music with 3 originals and a St. David remix.
Cinthie is the kind of artist who seems to be everywhere all at once. In the past years, we’ve seen her compile a lush DJ Kicks compilation, release numerous EP’s on labels such as Aus music, run one of Berlin’s finest record stores (Elevate Records), tour the world fiercely, and create an all-new live show. Her EP for Heist has been in the works for a long, long time and it’s an absolute pleasure to finally present the ‘Music for Discotheques’ EP. Spoiler alert: It’s a no holds-back, ‘all killers, no fillers’ record. Just the way we like it.
In classic Cinthie fashion, this EP has the Berlin-based artist explore various sides of house music, starting with the vocal cut ‘Won’t u take me’. Lush pads, shuffling snares and a dreamy female vocal work together to bring a warm and classy house track with a clear nod to 90’s US house, but with its feet firmly rooted in the present.
Piano heaven takes you on an Italo-meets-deephouse excursion straight into…Drum roll…: Piano heaven. A driving 909 groove and a deceptively simple bass form the foundation of the track, but it’s the keys (and strings) that bring this track to its full peak-time potential. The energy in this track is of the ‘hands-in-the-air / screaming-out-loud’ type and it has already become one of the biggest tracks in Cinthie’s live-show.
On the flip, Cinthie explores the pacier electronic side of the dance spectrum, with the footwork inspired jam ‘Masterplan’. Think classic 808’s, loopy synths and a cheeky spoken word piece that lifts the song to a level where it’s extremely danceable and quite simply put; really fun.
The final track of the EP is the expertly crafted remix by Italian house maestro St. David; an artist Cinthie has always been a big fan of. He’s made a dazzling rework of ‘Piano Heaven’: A deep and driving deephouse version that’s layered in sweeps, fx and bleeps for an altogether mesmerizing effect.
We’re thrilled that we can share Cinthie’s music on the label and have her join the family after having played so many shows together and having spoken about doing something together for such a long time. As always, play it loud and dance, dance, dance!

Cinthie Christl is a powerhouse of a DJ, producer, label manager, record store owner and all-round house music aficionado. Shall Not Fade is excited to announce Cinthie is joining the family to mark the 60th release on the label. Free Fall EP shows off the German polymath's expansive musical knowledge, developed through decades of spinning vinyl.
The 4-tracker kicks off with "Offenbach Anthem" bounces along with a varied post-disco inspired beat and oh-so-deep bassline that strikes against the aerated chords of the melody. Dramatic strings add to the disco flavour, the fluid and glittery opener cruises into the tight, 4-to-the-floor business and stuttering stabs of "13 Steps To Heaven".
Rave energy takes over on "Oh No No No"; organ takes centre stage blending with crooning diva vocalisations - releasing the tension of the last track into an overflow of euphoria. "What You Mean To Me" closes the EP with a slice of the super-smooth classic house that Cinthie is known for; infectious grooves and perfect lulls forming a triumphant end to the record.

Cinthie marks a milestone in her career this June with her debut album ‘Skylines – City Lights’ on Aus Music. Berlin’s Cinthie has grown to become one of the most respected purveyors of house music, both as a DJ and producer, in Europe and across the globe over the past few years. Through the numerous imprints she’s headed up, her productions, her soul-infused DJ sets and even her own record store Cinthie has become a driving force in the contemporary electronic music scene.
Here we see the culmination of Cinthie’s career, which spans more than two decades, pieced together to make up her debut long player, a tribute to all the things that have inspired her over the years, from Chicago House to New York Garage, European rave, Nu-Disco and years of experience behind the booth and keeping dance floor’s moving. Across the project tracks like ‘Houze Muzik’, ‘Concentrate’, ‘Morning In Melbourne’ and ‘Bassline ‘shine a light on Cinthie’s true love, authentic, soul drenched and raw House music. ‘2k Garage’, as the name would suggest, also nods to her love of the UK Garage sound and cuts like ‘City Lights’ and ‘No One Can Take You From Me’ lean towards Disco influences old and new. Recent times have seen Cinthie look inwards towards her aspirations for the future, and as a result, dedicated a huge portion of her time to building her own studio, featuring a wide spectrum of some of the most noteworthy vintage drum machines and synthesizers in existence. Along with Diego Krause, Ed Herbst and stevn.aint.leavn, Cinthie represents the Beste Modus / Beste Freunde collective, amongst running Unison Wax and We_R House on top of the main labels and most recently launching her 803 Crystalgrooves imprint to critical acclaim, a platform which will become a huge focus for her own productions for the foreseeable future. On top of this there’s a burgeoning relationship with Will Saul's Aus imprint bubbling away with her debut for the label dropping in November 2018. Cinthie has also recently shifted focus towards Elevate Berlin, a label collective, digital and physical record store in the heart of Friedrichshain, a home for all of the label collectives output as well as releases from friends and affiliates.

synthesizers, enabling her to create the sounds she’s loved and desired to create for
many years. The results led to heavy support from an array of producers and DJ’s and
Cinthie’s dance floor focused sound continues to evolve and unfold here with the labels
third release.
‘Australian Summer’ opens the package, a Balearic tinged house cut featuring sun
drenched pad melodies, bubbling arpeggios and choppy bass stabs alongside organic
drums. ‘Infinity’ follows next with bright chord sequences and crisp 909 drums.
‘This Bomb Is Mine’ leads the B-side, taking a more disco-tinged approach this time
with filtered string loops, billowing vocal murmurs and shuffled drums before ‘Rave
Like Noone Is Watching’ then completes the package, as the name would suggest a highoctane
workout designed for the peak-time with gritty rave stabs, penetrating drums
and resonant acid licks.

darker more raw territory, dubbed as the ‘’bad little sister of 001’’ by Cinthie…
‘Push It’ leads on the package with a stripped-back drum groove made up of a crunchy clap,
sharp hats and a weight kick while squelchy 303 licks and vocal shots uttering the track title drive
the composition. ‘The Worm’ follows, this time featuring a high-octane drum workout, subtly
unfolding synth flutters and an underlying low-end drive.
Opening the flip is ‘Boomboomroundtheroom’ employing dusty drums, frenzied synth stabs and
gritty bass chops, a cut harkening back to the most robust sounds coming out of Chicago in the

Wah Wah 45s present the long awaited new album from Afro-dub masters,Soothsayers, entitledFly Higher. Soothsayers' twelfth studio album will be released on vinyl only (and via Bandcamp) in September this year - twenty-five years since they unleashed their debut LP,Lost City. The album features the very essence of the band - the vital ingredients that have been part of their sound since the outset, incorporating the diaspora, family and community that they have built along their journey. Fly Higherblends Afrobeat, soul, jazz and dub grooves and is packed with uplifting, ear-worm melodies delivered via stirring three-part harmonies, horn hooks and mesmerising basslines. The sound is typically organic and warm, and showcases Soothsayers' original songwriting style, which in turn pays respect to a variety of influences, but avoids cliche and predictability.

Introduced by the digital single ‘Deixa Passar’, this 12” EP concretises on physical support the renewed collaboration between the two Schema Records artists Gerardo Frisina and Tomaz ”Toco” Di Cunto, working together again five years after the release of the EP “Frisina Meets Toco” (SCEP 487): the two unreleased songs here included, the aforementioned “Deixa Passar” and “Ilê”, are featured both in their original and reworked versions, and represent an excellent blend of samba jazz and Brazilian popular music. In both tracks, the music composed and arranged by Gerardo backs up the Portuguese language lyrics and melodic lines of Toco, who duets with Luzia Dvorek in an almost surprising contrast between serious and graceful sounds. The instrumental department features Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Eduardo Taufic on piano (Deixa Passar) and Fender Rhodes (Ilê), and Edu Moreno on flute (Ilê), in an excellent ‘union of opposites’, between popular music and modern sounds, between acoustic instruments and electronics, with mystical influences that envelop the songs with a mysterious and attractive aura. Not only musically, but also visually and lyrically, this EP is a tribute to the Brazilian culture and lands, already from a cover that re-imagines the iconic shapes of the famous Copacabana pavement in Rio De Janeiro: while “Deixa Passar” celebrates Rio’s carnival as an opportunity to momentarily free oneself from the burdens of life, “Ilê” recalls the traditions of Salvador De Bahia’s historic ‘bloco afro’ quarter called Ilê Aiyê.

Monsieur Van Pratt is one of the leaders of the edit game and his Illegal Disco is all the proof you need. This latest drop finds him tap into vintage Japanese rare grooves and flip them with his signature style. 'Space Scrapper' is up first and is the sort of comic cut that will have you wide-eyed as it reworks a celebrated Japanese musician and vocalist. 'Time Machine' is a big, stomping disco cut with rubbery bass riffs and Japanese city pop vocals riding next to cursing synths. It's a bright but steamy sound for when things really heat up. Last but not least is another showstopper with 'Feel So Fine' layering wispy cosmic melodies with cool-as-you-like disco drums and carefree vocals. Lovely stuff.
