Layers of subtly filtered melody pulsate their way throughout, rising and falling as minimal elements collide for maximal sonic impact.Switching to more familiar territory, ‘Time Shift’ reins things back a notch as tight 909 beats swing to well rounded bottom end, carrying the warm layers of evolving synths and chorded elements with precision effect. Nick Beringer debuts on INFUSE to open the label’s 2021 schedule, offering up his stellar ‘Blue Blood’ EP. A rising DJ and producer at the heart of Berlin’s minimal house scene, Rubisco boss Nick Beringer has formed a growing reputation as a ‘go-to’ artist for quality productions across the genre in recent years, with his diverse discography welcoming material via the likes of Raum…Musik, Taverna Tracks, Mulen Records and Berg Audio to name just a few. With a sound fusing classic Detroit house and techno with more modern shades, ranging from electro-tinged elements through to more dubby textures, the German talent kickstarts 2021 with an impressive debut outing on FUSE sister imprint INFUSE as he delivers his four-track ‘Blue Blood’ EP. Lead cut ‘Concave’ is a perfect example of Beringer’s ability to fuse genres and nuances with ease and fluidity as skipping percussion licks guide skittering sci-fi electronics and sweeping atmospherics throughout an up-front EP opener, whilst vinyl only cut ‘Aint Got Nobody’ delves into deeper realms as squelching basslines merge with icy hats and infectious vocal iterations. The lively title cut ‘Blue Blood’ opens the B-Side in style as warping synths weave amongst aquatic melodies and deep sub-bass, before closing out proceedings via the dynamic, off-kilter tones of final production ‘Second Hand Emotion’.

SKYLAX RECORDS, THE company focused on realeasing original obscure dance classic and everything’s that sounds fine to their ears ! For this 34th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 6 fantastic trax done by Nick Beringer. Straight from germany, this talented producer delivered some of the best deep house music around. Entitled “The second floor ep” (after the 1st floor ep out on wax classic 4), it starts with “Afterhour cut 1” which is one of those eminently soulful house tracks with a sparse approach to production, all the elements sounding so crisp and distinct in the mix but judged perfectly. whilst "Afterhour cut 2" is a dancefloor anthem in the pure DJ Sneak tradition. A side ends with “Afterhour cut 3” draping

In this case, And.id who has proven to be as comfortable as making techno for Mobilee, VIVa music and 2020vision, as he is to produce elaborate jazz arrangements, covering electronic music songs with his jazz trio, is the man behind the first two original tracks for the Taverna Tracks imprint. The EP kick starts with "My People" and in complete New York fashion, with strings, bassline and vocal stabs that could have jumped straight out of a Jovonn production. The next track, "Face Off", is a more obscure basement techno affair, for the late night afterhours and for those who like to zone and lose themselves in the trippy stabs and tension building strings. The first Taverna Tracks EP rounds up beautifully with a superbly produced Alix Alvarez Remix, which makes use of the original hooks but elevates the whole song with his unique production skills and sublime sense for arrangement. A beautiful example of old-school themed while at the same time contemporary pieces of house music with nostalgia and soulfulness bursting out of them in every single bar.
