"Elephant Moon unveils the latest instalment with a hot new EP from Lee Burton. The Six Dogs resident, has been busy of late with a steady flow of releases on labels like Body Parts , developing his own distinct brand of dubby, cosmic house On side A, he gets things moving nicely with '15.30 (The Jam)', an instantly catchy, groove-heavy bubbler with shimmering pads and infectious, skipping percussion. '12 Angry Apes' follows up with a slightly more pensive mood, though still maintaining a skip in its step. This one feels as though it's on the verge of an emotional outburst. Over on the flipside the contemplation continues with 'Osmosis', which will open the parts of your mind other tunes just can't reach, taking you away to distant lands where your spirit can be free. The pads and keys alone are enough to transport you from your everyday life into another dimension... fresh! Lastly 'Racily' takes us back to the eighties with a dreamy electro workout that the mighty Drexciya would be proud of. The pace slows, the mood is introspective and the vibe is utterly addictive.

Lee Burton makes his debut on Up The Stuss with ‘Sinewaves’, a five-track collection of expansive house cuts representing his impactful sound.
With music released via Dorian Paic’s renowned raum…musik through to John Dimas’ Elephant Moon and Berlin’s Taverna Tracks, Greek DJ/producer Lee Burton has been a firm favourite for those in the know, having been embedded within the underground minimal/house scene for the past decade. A constant when it comes to providing ‘secret gems’, with his records in rotation amongst the record bags of leading names across the globe, Burton’s talent as a DJ has also seen him grace legendary parties and institutions from NYC’s ReSolute to Berlin’s Club der Visionaere. Next up, his latest studio voyage brings an impressive label debut on Chris Stussy’s Up The Stuss, opening the imprint’s 2024 schedule in style.
From the acid-electro fusion of opener Sinewaves’ and the breezy tones of ‘Burning’, through to the up-tempo and intoxicating sci-fi sonics of ‘ITICF’ and the modulated, electro-funk of ‘Love Motion’, each track provides a unique slice of Burton’s vast sound palette, crafting an EP that covers all hours of the night. Sprinkle in the digital bonus ‘Oxytocin Overdose’, contrasting squelchy tones and classic chords with that infectious topline, and it’s another must-have record on the imprint. More

It's been almost six years since Liberto released his debut album "Lullaby" for Klik Records. His warm deep and tech house sound received at once the best comments of the Greek and the international music press alongside the interest of some of the most important names in the electronic music scene. As a result to this, the next years were at most productive for Liberto with releases, remixes and collaborations with labels such as Trapez, Plastic City, Material, Playmobil, Syndikaat and the co foundation of the record label "Material" with Michael Safras. 2009 was the year of his new project under the name Lee Burton and recordings for labels such as Orpheas, Material and Plastic City in addition to several features and appearances in festivals and clubs.
In January 2012 Lee Burton returns with his second album project, Busy Days For Fools. Being really ingenious Lee Burton manages to escape from the sound of Lullaby creating a unique output that combines the sound of the "German" electronica with the Greek temperament and the South American laid back feeling. "Busy Days For Fools" is the stoner side of electronica.
Lee Burton did everything himself regarding the production of his new album. He spent a whole year in his personal studio using new techniques of production and recordings such as various kinds of microphones ranging from the classic condenser microphone to the microphone of a cell phone even a VHS camera one. Electronic sounds were created with vintage analogue equipment but also with live recordings of noises using various objects as well as music instruments. That was in need of providing the warmest, natural and analogue possible result, to create his own sound. ?With his influences coming from the electronic scene but also from lo-fi productions rock, blues, folk and jazz, Lee Burton's whole idea for this album came though his feelings created by his everyday life, the people around him, their moods and way they think. Going back to 2006 when he recorded his debut album under the alias Liberto he says: "As a human being I feel like it's been a long period with brand new experiences leading to a new different view of life, but as an artist I keep on living, feeling and looking for the real life influences that made me create something from the very beginning".
In other words this is the essence of "?usy Days For Fools". It's the talent of an artist who transforms the images of his mind into sounds. A concept album project written for no other purpose than the will of the artist to invite us to his own music world.

A benchmark project that has been in fruition over the past year, ‘One Against Time’ is the magnum opus of John Dimas’ career. It is a pivotal milestone that embodies his depth of knowledge and his personal fascination with the mysteries of life and the universe. Spread across 14 tracks, ‘One Against Time’ sees Dimas really broaden his artistic capabilities, drawing from a melting pot of influences and woven together by his desire to channel a feeling of intrigue and curiosity taking a journey outward into the deepest recesses of outer space while simultaneously traveling inward to that same area of deep space inside his own soul…

Elephant Moon proudly presents Russian producer Plantae (Artyom Zlobin).. His love for contemporary electronic music came a little later in life, with early influences coming from the worlds of old rock, jazz, hip-hop and older electronic recordings. He has a deep-seated love for nature, and counts art, design, books and film among his inspirations outside of music. On this EP he channels all his influences into four nuanced cuts, straight from his laboratory to John Dimas, the head scientist at Elephant Moon.

From the label: "Elephant Moon continues its steady schedule of releases with a brand new EP from label owner John Dimas and Danish talent Samuel Andre Madsen (AKA S.A.M). On this fresh new release we're treated to two tracks from Monsieur Dimas and two from S.A.M. To open we have a quirky little space jam called 'Moon Patrol' by John Dimas. It has chunky percussion at its foundation with off-key chimes and cosmic pads giving it an interstellar feel. Samuel's 'Reshaped For Moonwalk' mix puts John's mix on a diet, making it far lighter and focusing on the ethereal elements turning it into a sweet galactic ditty. On the flip we get a sombre bossa nova ride from S.A.M., all jazzy with a grooving bassline and galloping beats. It's a cool, laid back riddim from the Dane and we're sure you'll love it. John Dimas gives the track his own Monday mix, bringing the tempo down even more and crafting a delicate heady rework. Smooth..."

Elephant Moon hits us with a super dope batch of new music this Spring. The new release is a collection of music from several different artists and demonstrates the diversity of the label?s output. Across four brand new tracks we?re presented with smooth grooves, odd, whimsical sound design and dynamic dance floor rollers. Things start off tentatively with Italian Rinaldo Makaj?s ?Quasar?, a dreamy soundscape which envelopes you in its lush rhythms and deep, meditative bassline. Josh Tweek?s ?Coffee Curves? shares side A with ?Quasar?, though the atmosphere is totally different. Confused robotic bleeps and effects pop up throughout, seemingly out of sync with the percussion while a sombre b-line rumbles below. On the flip side we have ?Oulton Road? by Christian AB. A vibey cut, which encapsulates all that is great about the deeper end of house music; measured, emotive and utterly danceable. Accompanying ?Oulton Road? is ?Element Of Lights? by Gianmarco Orsini, a bouncing dance floor-ready slice of 4x4 rudeness . Each side includes 1 bonus locked groove from John & Giammarco :) There you go, four distinct styles from four skilled artists. Look out for the V/A in all good record shops!

Across four tracks they explore the dark matter of the universe, transmitting alluring frequencies to seduce your mind, body and soul onto the dance floor. Each track has its own character yet works within a similar sound ethic; deep, sexy and celestial.

"Introducing a brand new label from Berlin-based Greek, John Dimas. Elephant Moon is a platform conceived by John to simply collect and release music from his talented group of friends. Having built up a strong reputation thanks to his excellent back catalogue of productions on labels such as One Records and La Vie En Rose, he decided that now is the time to dedicate his deep knowledge of house and techno to running a label of his own. The first release sees John teaming up with his good friend, Paris producer Djebali. Having a mutual admiration for each other's work, it was a logical move for the two artists to collaborate. A few studio sessions resulted in the 'Soul Vision' EP, which is comprised three tracks together with a special DJ tool. The title-track on side-A focuses on the dance floor, bringing groove-led jazzy vibes throughout. A classic house atmosphere pervades, demonstrating the duo's ability to channel the past in a contemporary manner. As an added bonus, as both men are fans of DJ tools, there's a 'beats only' version of the track for those who love a bit of spritely percussion. On side-B, we get 'Faith', a heads-down workout, which would be perfect to throw into the mix, mid-set - not too hectic, though with just enough verve to keep the energy levels high. Finally, 'Healer' closes out the flip side, instilling a light, airy vibe to the EP - infused with more jazz-inflected rhythms and a warm feeling from start to end."
