Minimono - Revolution
Here you have the second EP part of Minimono "Half Way Trough" mini saga.
Bosco050.5 follows the sound of the previous one serving four most exciting electro, italo-disco and acid infected floor burners!
"Run it Back" is a simple and dry tune, has those big cutting edge sounds typical of the early 2000 80's contaminated electro.. perfect for your starting set or in recreating that unique atmosphere.
On the A side follows "Half Way Trough", an effortlessly driving tech-acid house tune, strangely compelling, with a timeless feeling.. looking like an essential weapon for any dancefloor.
B side starts with the spicy electro-disco tune "Over The Machines" epic and functional at the same time with evocative arpeggios and a mechanical vocodered speach.
The Ep ends with the cyberfunk stomper "Revolution" , a twisted electro funk groover in typical Minimono vein.
Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci celebrate this 50th.5 release on Bosconi in great style, remodernising the sound that they used to like when they first met in the early 2000, under the influence of those Berlin labels like Areal, Sender, Festplatten, Funkhaus, Beautycase, Lasergun, Gigolo.. and all of those labels who trademarked the sound of those unforgettable Berlin days.
TRACKLISTS:
A1. Run it Back (6'36")
A2. Half Way Trough (6'22")
B1. Over The Machines (6'54")
B2. Revolution (6'08")

Minimono - Gettin' Gold
Bosconi reaches number 50 milestone on it's main label catalogue and who better than label founders Mimimono could unfold this. Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci come back on their output with this series of two eps forming a mini album named "Half Way Trough" with an intriguing blend of modern electro tech house tunes taking to the next level their concept of moving in between styles. The first ep starts with "Accelerate", an Uk infected tech house tune.. with a distinctly aggressive acid bassline in contrast to the clean synths and bleep sounds.. The result is a floor burner for your peaktime moments on da floor. "Overflow" is more of an hypnotic swing house tune, with some kind of arabic melodies , accompanied by subtle bassline reminding of prince of Persia sounding like environments.. B side starts with "Discorruption", a tribute from Minimono to the electro italo-disco sound , still with their own original approach, where all the arpeggios and synths notes are accompanied by a driving bassline and a funky house groove more typical by the Florentine duo. The record ends with the stylish melodic tech house tune "Getting Gold" where Fabio and Ennio show their ability of condensing melodic elements and synths into a dancefloor track.. for your sugared moments on the floor.
Definitively one to have in your bag.

Bosconi gives a warm welcome to the new sonic adventure by label founder Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci better known together as Minimono.
Setting aside their old school funk injections for the moment, this time they deliver a fresh, crispy and more synthetic set of tracks where all their recent influences are melting together within an original blend of electro funk, deep n proggy tech house dense of catchy arpeggios, tight grooves for the dance floor and trippy fm synths textures condensed into this Binary Pocket EP.
This killer 4 tracker record begins with the smooth journey of "Himself When" through its peaceful mood and driving beat, while second cut named “My Eye On You” goes more into a mental, hectic, broken, acidic and electroish direction. Flip side sees instead the arrival of the arabic and sinister riff of the proto bleep tech track "Please Repeat" and the more spiritual atmosphere of the Nu Era styled jam of "Jacked Pocket" which close up the EP.
All the flavor you need here, Minimono knows how to do it, indeed! More

After first appearing on the label back in 2016, Florence-based Italo house stalwarts Minimono return to Vibraphone with another selection of illustrious dancefloor gems for subtler moments in the dance. "Oldest Friend" is an airy, dreamlike track laden with upper register chords, tones and FX pinging around in a reverie of deep house delight, while "Questions" gets locked into a loose, swinging groove with some mysterious pads swirling around the middle distance for added atmosphere. "Some Day" is a more rugged affair that bumps and wriggles in all the right places, while "Eleven Days" explores broken beat territory without losing the hazy atmosphere that permeates the EP.

Vinyl Only. Fresh from releases on the legendary Vibraphone and Robsoul labels, alongside their own long-running Bosconi imprint, Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci aka Minimono join the Inner Balance family for an EP of four fine house dishes. Each cut gives us a different taste of classic house, from the sharp Melchior shuffle of 'Goblin' to the sweet rhodes and walking bassline of 'On The Edge', which wouldn't sound out of place in the Fair Park catalogue. 'Still Alive' is a light confection of soft pads topped with subtle improvisations, while 'This Side Of The Forest' delivers a more flavoursome Sir Lord Commix-style groove. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Having kicked of 2016 with their firey and funky ‘Buddy My Buddy’ ep, Minimono return to Robsoul with their first for ’17.
Bosconi boys, Fabio and Ennio, never fail to impress with their tight, tidy tools and floor burning house gems. Tracks that are loved for their no nonsense ‘party’ perspective, making them essential to all.
The laidback smoove groove and cut up vocals of ‘Let’em Come’ opens us up, before we’re whisked away by the jitterbug vibe of ‘Know Is Fonk’. The chopped and dropped sample-heavy kicks of ‘Estroverso’ leads the flip before Minimono sign off with the shimmering guitar licks and hungry horns of ‘Junior’.

After “Theory Of Strings (part1)” Ennio Colaci and Fabio Della Torre present the second part! The first track of A-side is the one who gives the title to the whole project, " Theory Of Strings", a dubby groover with a funky and psychedelic feel in the vein of a more coloured and dirtier Studio 1 or Soundhack. The "Feeling good vibe" keeps going relaxed and chill with the smart up and down mood of the track "Forty Degrees" while on B side Minimono get drier, minimalistic and more mysterious with the subtle after-hour jam of Rewind. This strong effort by Fabio and Ennio ends trough the cinematic atmosphere and the romantic piano notes of the gentle but raw closing act "Still Mine". Mind the Strings!

Following the well acclaimed comeback on Bosconi "Gang of Fools EP" and the releases on Robsoul and Vibraphone, Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci aka Minimono strike again with a double release that might be considered as a split album in 2 vinyl records named "Theory Of Strings".First of two Eps starts with the chuggy, jazzy and edgy vibe of "Get The Groove", an intelligent partial rework of an underground disco-not-disco old gem. Second cut gets more funky-filtered, bouncing and suspended with the fresh broken atmosphere of "Back in Dc" .On the B side Fabio and Ennio go back to jazziness adding more broken grooves, some twisted rhodes solo goodness and a persistent hypnotic driving feel to the track "Actually", and then ending this first part with another smooth filtered and toolish winner for the summer called Meningi. Mind the Strings and wait for the second part!

minimono - "Take Your Time"
Minimono delivers an amazingly unsuspected release from the historical Italian Cult label from Rome, Vibraphone Records. We heard Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci back on Bosconi and Robsoul recently with their trademarked funky sound, but this time the Florentine duo goes for more challenging atmospherical and spacey house vibes with this solid four tracker called, in fact, "Next Step": the first track, which gives the title to the EP, is a bouncing and uplifting old-not-nu school deep house gem reminding us of some DIY or Charles Webster mid 90's works; the second track instead, called "Sailing", is definitively more faithful to some true early Italo-house with the heavenly smell of Riviera-sound magic. On the flip side Minimono drops "Suspended", probably the most conceptually modern piece of this vinyl: a deep-driving underwater and cinematic trip through subtle soulful cuts and psychedelic accents. The final cut has a romantic and deeper mood of the Deep Burnt which inspired the closing track, "Take Your Time", because it can be always the time..for a Next Step when Minimono meets The True Underground Sound Of Rome.

This four tracker vinyl named "Gang Of Fools" represents the perfectcontinuation of their trademark sound aesthetic dense of funk, warm vibes and west coast house attitude: the record starts on A side with that unmistakable "shake-yo-booty" disco riff of the "Gang Of Fools" track which follows the deeper and keep on going groove of " The Rapid Fall" on the second cut. On B side instead you'll find the sliding and subtle "no excuse" driving jack-house-funk of "Bring It" followed by the melancholy and romanticism of the"Under The Influence" closing track. No Tools for Fools !

Elephant Moon proudly presents Russian producer Plantae (Artyom Zlobin).. His love for contemporary electronic music came a little later in life, with early influences coming from the worlds of old rock, jazz, hip-hop and older electronic recordings. He has a deep-seated love for nature, and counts art, design, books and film among his inspirations outside of music. On this EP he channels all his influences into four nuanced cuts, straight from his laboratory to John Dimas, the head scientist at Elephant Moon.

"Elephant Moon unveils the latest instalment with a hot new EP from Lee Burton. The Six Dogs resident, has been busy of late with a steady flow of releases on labels like Body Parts , developing his own distinct brand of dubby, cosmic house On side A, he gets things moving nicely with '15.30 (The Jam)', an instantly catchy, groove-heavy bubbler with shimmering pads and infectious, skipping percussion. '12 Angry Apes' follows up with a slightly more pensive mood, though still maintaining a skip in its step. This one feels as though it's on the verge of an emotional outburst. Over on the flipside the contemplation continues with 'Osmosis', which will open the parts of your mind other tunes just can't reach, taking you away to distant lands where your spirit can be free. The pads and keys alone are enough to transport you from your everyday life into another dimension... fresh! Lastly 'Racily' takes us back to the eighties with a dreamy electro workout that the mighty Drexciya would be proud of. The pace slows, the mood is introspective and the vibe is utterly addictive.

From the label: "Elephant Moon continues its steady schedule of releases with a brand new EP from label owner John Dimas and Danish talent Samuel Andre Madsen (AKA S.A.M). On this fresh new release we're treated to two tracks from Monsieur Dimas and two from S.A.M. To open we have a quirky little space jam called 'Moon Patrol' by John Dimas. It has chunky percussion at its foundation with off-key chimes and cosmic pads giving it an interstellar feel. Samuel's 'Reshaped For Moonwalk' mix puts John's mix on a diet, making it far lighter and focusing on the ethereal elements turning it into a sweet galactic ditty. On the flip we get a sombre bossa nova ride from S.A.M., all jazzy with a grooving bassline and galloping beats. It's a cool, laid back riddim from the Dane and we're sure you'll love it. John Dimas gives the track his own Monday mix, bringing the tempo down even more and crafting a delicate heady rework. Smooth..."

Across four brand new tracks we?re presented with smooth grooves, odd, whimsical sound design and dynamic dance floor rollers. Things start off tentatively with Italian Rinaldo Makaj?s ?Quasar?, a dreamy soundscape which envelopes you in its lush rhythms and deep, meditative bassline. Josh Tweek?s ?Coffee Curves? shares side A with ?Quasar?, though the atmosphere is totally different. Confused robotic bleeps and effects pop up throughout, seemingly out of sync with the percussion while a sombre b-line rumbles below. On the flip side we have ?Oulton Road? by Christian AB. A vibey cut, which encapsulates all that is great about the deeper end of house music; measured, emotive and utterly danceable. Accompanying ?Oulton Road? is ?Element Of Lights? by Gianmarco Orsini, a bouncing dance floor-ready slice of 4x4 rudeness . Each side includes 1 bonus locked groove from John & Giammarco :) There you go, four distinct styles from four skilled artists. Look out for the V/A in all good record shops!

REPRESS ALERT: Hot off the back of the first release, a crisp collab with his mate Djebali, we have French duo Zendid with a collection of cosmic deepness. Across four tracks they explore the dark matter of the universe, transmitting alluring frequencies to seduce your mind, body and soul onto the dance floor. Each track has its own character yet works within a similar sound ethic; deep, sexy and celestial.

"Introducing a brand new label from Berlin-based Greek, John Dimas. Elephant Moon is a platform conceived by John to simply collect and release music from his talented group of friends. Having built up a strong reputation thanks to his excellent back catalogue of productions on labels such as One Records and La Vie En Rose, he decided that now is the time to dedicate his deep knowledge of house and techno to running a label of his own. The first release sees John teaming up with his good friend, Paris producer Djebali. Having a mutual admiration for each other's work, it was a logical move for the two artists to collaborate. A few studio sessions resulted in the 'Soul Vision' EP, which is comprised three tracks together with a special DJ tool. The title-track on side-A focuses on the dance floor, bringing groove-led jazzy vibes throughout. A classic house atmosphere pervades, demonstrating the duo's ability to channel the past in a contemporary manner. As an added bonus, as both men are fans of DJ tools, there's a 'beats only' version of the track for those who love a bit of spritely percussion. On side-B, we get 'Faith', a heads-down workout, which would be perfect to throw into the mix, mid-set - not too hectic, though with just enough verve to keep the energy levels high. Finally, 'Healer' closes out the flip side, instilling a light, airy vibe to the EP - infused with more jazz-inflected rhythms and a warm feeling from start to end."
