What do you do when you are part-time bored, when you are part-time broke and – even better – when you claim to make and live dance music (of course, also part-time)? Well you are obviously running a record label. This is what Johannes Albert does since 5 fun years and 20 releases. Releasing his own music on vinyl but also his mates stuff. Frank will celebrate this anniversary among life & happiness early 2016 with two 12 inches and a lousy tour. Fred P lifting us up right from the start with his “Energy Cloud”. Soulful drum workouts make peace with heavenly layers. Far out bliss. Next in line is good friend Iron Curtis who is calling for sweet operators. Flip side offers our Session Victim boys first time on the label. Let’s have some moody juice wit’ Hauke & Matthias once and for all! Hidden Beauty is the kind of track you wouldn’t expect from Tim Toh of Philpot fame. Well it’s a beauty and now not so hidden anymore. Let’s just be frank shall we?

Matthias Vogt - Die Tiefe (07:48)
Vital Sales Points:
- originally released on FORCE INC in 1999
- 10" limited to 100 copies - remastered
Genre: House
Tracklist 10”:
A1 Augen zu (08:13)
B1 Die Tiefe (07:48)
Short Info:
Flashback - Frankfurt am Main in the 1990s: Matthias Vogt writes record reviews for Groove magazine, works as a DJ in various clubs and studies jazz piano. His first releases as a producer are already on the street. When one of his favourite labels, for which he had written numerous reviews, Force Inc, opened a house sub-label (Force Inc US), Matthias submitted two of his own tracks to the label. The "DJ Matt" EP entitled "Die Tiefe / Augen zu" is released. The two completely analogue-produced tracks mark the beginning of Matthias' journey into the realms of deep house music.
A few months later, Matthias Vogt's career takes off, with a move within the same Frankfurt corridor, from Force Inc. to INFRACom! and the launch of his projects [re:jazz], Motorcitysoul and Matthias Vogt Trio. Cut. Today: A social media post drew the attention of Berlin DJ, producer and label maker Johannes Albert to the story surrounding the 1999 release. Now, 25 years later, "Augen zu/Die Tiefe" is being completely remastered from the original DAT tape by Gyso Hilger (Nektarium Darmstadt) and reissued - looking and sounding great - as a 10" on Frank Music.

Yellow Vinyl / LIMITED TO 100 COPIES
Genre: House
Tracklist 12”:
A1 Biesmans & Johannes Albert “Sunshine Inc.” (06:32)
Short Info:
LIMITED TO 100 COPIES: After having cake & coffee at least twice a week studio neighbors Joris Biesmans & Johannes Albert teamed up again. Remember "Luft"? This time they got a little inspired by the sun and even more - the legendary sunshine blotters from California. As a result, the duo hammered out a tune that you will dance to all summer and beyond: Sunshine Inc. is fabricated out of concrete chords, the bass was welded, and the lead is still dripping with sweat. Add a little acid here and there and BOOM we're off to space! Before you ask: Tripping is more than okay.

B2 Boris Dlugosch x Marc Romboy x C.A.R."Survivor" (Johannes Albert Remix) (06:05)
Short Info:
Sharing a mutual love for Dance Music in all its shapes and forms please welcome Philipp Lauer & Johannes Albert for the first time together. These Bucketheads overcame the franko-hessian border and give us a 3-Tracker on the A side that is "Based On Boss". The title track swims in 909 Drums, vocal samples shine through, and organ chords lead the way. You will be moving your feet with "Four 44", still all about a basement, a red light and lots of feeling. Rounding things up with the loopy powers of "Posh-O-Rama", if you are in need of soft breaks with a lovely twist. Now who's the boss?
Speaking B sides: Hamburg-Moenchengladbach-London? Probably not your everyday route. Three pillars in their own leagues team up for "Survivor": Boris Dlugosch, Marc Romboy and C.A.R. on vocal duties. Created in times of lockdowns and standstills "Survivor" is a midtempo stomper, slightly dark yet extra moving. Clocking in at 110 BPM a percussive beat is haunted by C.A.R.'s voice and a hypnotic robot bassline. Occuring melodies and pads do the rest. Remix time? Oh yes! Spicing and speeding things up a little the Johannes Albert remix arrives with additional chords, gated snare drums and maybe even happiness.

Short Info:
Originally born in days of a global lockdown, Johannes Albert gets ready for a second round of Ambient music. "Spessart II" follows the footprints of its predecessor and keeps things mostly quiet yet very thrilling at the same time. Starting off with "Frischling" the beat maker takes us on a calm synth trip through his home forest Spessart, using wild boar - Wildschwein - vocabulary all the way. Sparks of early Downbeat ("Gewaff"), even Trip Hop ("Überläufer") and instrumental Sade ("Leitbache") occur in the well balanced 8 track album. Johannes' dad Rudi adds to the vibe playing the Jagdhorn on "Keiler". If you like the band "The Art Of Noise" you will most likely love this too.

Short Info:
When talking I:Cube it is hard to avoid superlatives. The french maestro is surely in your favorite producers top 3 producers list. Nicolas Chaix delivers the goods since the mid 90s. From inventing French House (see "Disco Cubizm" with the help of Daft Punk for reference) over the massive 12" dancefloor-madness of "Prophetization" to the perfect warmup track "Falling" he manufactures dance music that is unpretentious, classy and most of all: eternal. In a nutshell: we are true I:Cube disciples. He twists "Hurting" by Iron Curtis & Johannes Albert in a heartfelt way. File under Melancholic House. For the hard working DJ - Bonus Beat included. We carry on with Frank Music chairman Johannes Albert and 3 of his latest dance mixes. Now let the arpeggiator speak and the dancefloor holler.

Steering his dance label, Frank Music, all the way through the last decade, Johannes Albert would like to welcome a bunch of new and old friends for its 10 years anniversary. Berlin’s Amount steers the ship into contemporary disco waters with his „Dphrase". All hands on deck please! The Captain Of Your Heart is more than a good friend. He is the boss from Zürichsee actually. We „L.ove“ his Synth Pop all the way. Darmstadt’s finest Levitation Venue are back with the calm yet groovy „Everything’s Good“. Now we set sail for the flipside. High waves and a storm comes up on the floor when Johannes drops his „Dynamo“. A very 90s informed rave affair! Sir Iron Curtis takes over the realm and shows a little respect for classic Electro. We travel to „Münster West“. The sea calms again with the bittersweet symphony of Max Lessig’s „Make me cry“. We reach safe havens. To the next 10!

A3 Some Kind Of Electric feat. Miela (04:03)
B1 Cutoff Freak – Johannes Albert Acid Dub (05:14)
B2 Some Kind Of Electric – Johannes Albert Kind Of Dub (05:20)
Short Info:
Kayroy is back! The charismatic gentleman from Melbourne gives us three brand new songs. First, we have “Cutoff Freak” with R.P. Downie on vocal duties. Yes, we shed crocodile tears for a thousand years. The David Byrne-esque vocals perfectly add to Kayroy’s mid-tempo aussie p-funk. Last year’s “Identification Unknown” feat. Miela also sees a vinyl feature finally.
Now imagine a late summer night. You ride your local sunset boulevard in your red convertible and turn on the stereo. They play „Some Kind Of Electric“ on the radio. Kayroy & Miela on the microphone make you feel good, they make you laugh, they make you cry. All at the same time. Irresistible grooves, heartwarming melodies and that voice. Now let this summer night last forever.
Label boss Johannes couldn’t resist and bangs the tracks into a more club-styled direction on the B-side. There is an “Acid Dub” and “Kind Of Dub”. Your choice.

Short Info:
The Spessart with its presence of extended woodlands is widely known for its legends, ghost stories and fairytales. Thus, the tale of Snow White may have originated in the Spessart heartlands, with the town of Lohr pushing forward a substantial case for being the home and inspiration for the main characters and elements like the magic mirror. Now let us return to innocence: Spessartraeuber Johannes Albert goes beatless for the first time over this 8 tracker. You may hear the rhythm of nature. Crystal clear bell sounds sit next to warm pads, bird song and even his own voice add to the peaceful piece. Heavenly strings approach guilt free piano sounds while blameless digital choirs whistle along. Music for dreams basically. File under New Age. Are you in?

Short Info:
Round two for David Jackson! Just born in the heydays of the "Airport Disco" David provides us with the future of Italo Disco and beyond. Mr. Jackson makes music for mirror balls, strobe lights, fog machines and Richard Long sound systems. The title track "Airport Disco" is a heater at first sight. It will make you whistle along or go bang straightaway. "Oohhyyee" is a modern piece of uplifting, breaky & airy UK vibe and hits just the right notes and spots. Some folks claim the only good system is a soundsystem. Well "In My System" appears with powerful synth chords and yes, believe me you want to join this system too. For the advanced customer (vinyl only that is) you will find "Berlin" on B2. A bit of Schlager-Disco with a laissez-faire message. Another top artwork courtesy of Julian Bender. Now get into magic!

Gesaffelstein - Variations
2
Gesaffelstein - Selected Faces
3
Gesaffelstein - Atmosphere
Format: 12” Vinyl (140g, Black)
Tracklist:
A1 / Variations
B1 / Selected Faces
B2 / Atmosphere
Release Info:
Turbo celebrates the 10th anniversary of Gesaffelstein’s seminal work on the
Montreal-based imprint with a long-awaited repress of all three EPs: Variations,
Conspiracy Pt. 1, and Conspiracy Pt. 2.
Every track on 'Variations' is a battle-tested bomb. Gesaffelstein’s sound is clearly
influenced by New Wave and the Gigolo-era electro (2001-2) of fellow Frenchmen
The Hacker and David Carretta, but it sounds like a fresh update rather than
pastiche, revitalized and refined down to a modern and versatile core. These tracks
work in Tiga's festival sets alongside some of the summer's biggest anthems, yet are
equally at home in a more underground setting, e.g. Von Party's 5am warm-up
before Ivan Smagghe at a London warehouse party.
The title track has the most attitude, establishing a palette of dark staccato basslines,
crunching hi-hats, hands-in-the-air cowbells and trippy synth leads. Selected Faces
and Atmosphere are arguably even more straightforward club weapons, their
breakdowns creating just enough 'insanity' without getting annoying, their grooves
dropping back in with a cool, restrained power that will win over hiss-weary DJs.
With remixes upcoming for Turbo and Institubes, a follow-up EP for Turbo in the
works... if you want an idea as to how big Gesaffelstein will get this year, just think of
him as 'Brodinkelstein.'

When Recondite, AKA Lorenz Brunner, emerged with his debut LP for Acid Test (2012's On Acid), we were still learning about the German producer's inward-
looking dance floor sound. A few years later, his sinewy jams have proved near universal -- like an underground Zelig, he's fit perfectly everywhere from Rødhåd's Dystopian to Ghostly International and Innervisions. Acid Test also allows Recondite the chance to indulge his more outré tendencies and a welcomed return it is.

Metronomy release their third album, 'The English Riviera' on April 11th through Because Music. The follow up to 2008's critically acclaimed 'Nights Out', 'The English Riviera' is a sonic progression of epic proportions and affirms Metronomy front man and producer, Joseph Mount, as a rare British talent.
Since 'Nights Out', the band have swollen to a four piece with new members Anna Prior on drums, Gbenga Adelekan on bass, original member Oscar Cash on keys/sax, and Joe himself on vocals, keys and guitar. This expansion of personnel is reflective of a new record that is mapped by vast soundscapes, incredible depth and warmth, and big pop hooks
Part love letter to the area of Devon coast Mount grew up in and part concept album about his own semi-fictionalised vision of "The English Riviera", the tone for the album is set by the opening sounds of seagulls, distant waves and a Music Hall string quartet. However, any notion of whimsy is swiftly dispelled, as the seismic bass line of 'We Broke Free' shudders and ushers in waves of layered guitars and synths.
Having produced and remixed everyone from Roots Manuva to Kate Nash and the forthcoming album from Nicola Roberts, this is the first Metronomy album that Mount has taken out of his bedroom and recorded in a proper studio. The results are telling.
Characterised throughout with a sense of warmth and richness, 'The English Riviera' is in parts reminiscent of seminal 1970s West Coast studio albums from the likes of Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles, but due to Mount's studio wizardry, the record sounds vibrant and entirely of its time.
Few other albums released this year will so successfully transcend such a plethora of influences and ideas and form such a coherent body of work.

2024 Repress
Tracklist
A. DJ KOZE- DRIVEN
B. ROBAG WRUHME - X-mop 198
Info:
Hart & Tief returns. Pampa's dark bastard. The Proverbial black sheep.
For the second statement from the label, we have the twin voices of DJ Koze and Robag Wruhme. Both are masters at remaining simultaneously identifiable yet surprising, and the freedom afforded by this fledgling label sees them push their respective milieus.
Driven see's Koze return to previously mined percussive tropes and plumb a new minimalist clarity of emotion through maximal means. The track thuds, clicks and pumps in a singular trajectory that belies its complexity and compliments its title.
Not to be outdone, Robag Wruhme provides X-mop 198, a slice of linear horror-techno that deftly re-contextualises its simplistic components in to a jagged and constantly surprising listen, creating a form of body music for the mind.

As one of Chicago's most mysterious and revered characters, the story of Gemini, aka Spencer Kincy has become something of a myth in recent years - blazing a trail throughout the 90's, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, Spencer's music had shades of innovation and soul few of his peers could match. Then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared. Anotherday are very proud to bring you the reissue of Gemini's most complete and varied album - 1997's 'Imagine - A - Nation', originally released on Cajual subsidiary Relief. You know the music - every track is on youtube, or you have picked up one of the very expensive original pressings on discogs, but here it is, in its fully re-mastered glory! Rumours and gossip of Spencer's whereabouts and situation have been rife in the music press, and rarely on the money. Spencer is alive and well, and wants his music to be heard. This album has been licensed directly from him, and the money made from its exploitation will go directly to him. Tracklisting: 1. Native To America 2. It's The Inside That Counts 3. Don't Look Back 4. Falling Leaves 5. Stand Up 6. How Can I Chill? 7. What You're Gonna Do? 8. Future Beat I 9. Future Beat II 10. Future Beat III

Fedele - Modular Madness (Midnight Operator Remix)
Tracklist:
A1 Fedele - Riot Dance
A2 Fedele - Modular Madness
B1 Fedele - Riot Dance (Extrawelt Remix)
B2 Fedele - Modular Madness (Midnight Operator Remix)
Release Info:
Obscura label head Fedele makes his long awaited return to the imprint for new EP ‘The Awake, Pt.1’, backed by remixes from Extrawelt and Midnight Operator aka Mathew Jonson and Nathan Jonson. Fedele’s penchant for synthesizer techniques and drum machines has caught the ear of global tastemakers, with projects released on the likes of Turbo, Afterlife, and Ellum receiving support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Tiga, Tale of Us, Dixon, John Digweed, Miss Kittin, and DJ Stingray. With sights set towards summer peak, the Italian returns to his Obscura Music imprint with his latest work, The Awake, Pt. 1.
Riot Dance leads the line with crisp kicks on a heady rise to set the groove before an analog-tinged synth line claims the hook. Acidic tones & ethereal stabs offer a generous dose of psychedelia, while the gritty groove ensures the cut’s ability to ignite dance floors. Modular Madness harnesses ominous flavors and a driving bassline that ebbs & flows to keep minds melting. The melodies open into swirling synthetics, with revolving reverberations and rich soundscapes capturing the ear from start to finish.
Storied German duo Extrawelt arrive on remix duty, taking the reins on ‘Riot Dance’ to twist a low- slung groover. They bring the bassline into the foreground, keeping a delightful vibe alive and welcoming a touch of light to the dark underbelly of the original, before diving back into the deep as the track unfolds. Obscura regular Mathew Jonson connects with a producer he knows well – his brother Nathan. Together, they remix ‘Modular Madness’ under their alias Midnight Operator. Picking up the pace, they maintain the acid-laced grit from the original arrangement, while adding serene melodies to the high-end. A balanced rework from two seasoned veterans.

Ltd. Edition with Screen printed sleeve.
Glenn Astro and Hulk Hodn (to some known as mighty Hodini) release their new full-length record
“Ghosts” via Kommerz Records on August 26th.
Producers Astro & Hodn‘s first joint album “Turquoise Tortoise” in 2018 combined uptempo beats, hiphop
and spaced out lo-fi slow jams effortlessly. On “Ghosts” the duo develops their exploration of new
aesthetics even further through synthesized soundscapes and numerous collaborations with young
talent from all over the world. Artists such as Danish neo soul discovery AGGi, King Krule collaborator
Gal Go, Kamohelo from Studio Barnhus band Off The Meds, Berlin-based voice experimentalist Yosa
Peit and many more deep dived into the collaboration and transformed the album into a sonic
multiverse.
New Release Information
Glenn Astro and Hulk Hodn are connected through a long lasting musical friendship. With their Detroitinspired
house releases they gained wider recognition by critics and listeners alike. Nevertheless,
they’ve never been one dimensional artists. Berlin-based Glenn Astro‘s diversified approach to
production as showcased on labels such as Ninja Tune and Tartelet bridges the gaps between
ambient, hip-hop, techno and bass.
Meanwhile Cologne‘s Hulk Hodn gained the status of a German underground hip-hop legend. Through
his records and shows with rapper Retrogott he gathered a cult-like following besides dropping high
quality projects with other beat makers such as Hubert Daviz and Twit One and rappers such as
Eloquent. Most recently he dropped the instrumental LP “Sparklez” on Sichtexot sub Casual Low
Grind.

Release Info:
Label bosses Dam Swindle dive into the label back catalog and compile 2 special edition releases of classics to celebrate 10 years of
Heist Recordings.
Founded in 2013, Heist Recordings has quickly become a go-to house label, giving rise to a vibrant scene of groove aficionados and all things
deep house. Now in the label’s 10th year, Dam Swindle take a moment to reflect on the great tracks that have come out over the years with 2
limited edition compilations of classics.
On this first compilation, the duo starts with the track that helped the label burst onto the scene: Their instant classic ‘The break up’. With its
vintage vocals, Rhodes chops and instantly recognizable bell loop, it’s easy to understand why so many people are still in love with this track. It’s
only fitting that this anniversary release for Heist goes back to where it all started.
The second track on the compilation is from the legendary Detroit outfit Scan 7: Their 2020 track ‘The Best is yet come’ from Heist’s 50th release.
The appearance of Scan 7 on the label turned quite some heads at the time, but in fact, it made total sense. The mutual love for house, key
grooves and that classic Detroit vibe brought Scan 7 and Dam Swindle together and the result was an amazing release full of Midwest electronic
funk.
On the flip, we’ve got Dutch duo Fouk with their first hit on the label ‘Kill Frenzy’, which kickstarted the rise of their signature sound back in 2014.
The release ends with 2 extremely catchy and strong house releases by Demuir and Adryiano. Demuir’s vocal cut ‘Werq. Feel. Gruv. Vogue’. is
one of the highlights in Demuir’s catalog and a showcase of the producer’s knack for sampling and writing a house groove. Adryiano’s piano
house track ‘Me and you and her’ is a perfect ending to this first compilation, showing us that great house music can be as simple as repeating
something over and over and over, until that groove is all you hear.
The vinyl release of Heist Classics vol. 01 is printed on clear 180 grams heavyweight vinyl and is limited to 1000 records with a special design by
our Art Director Bas Koopmans (Wellness.)
Yours Sincerely,
Maarten & Lars More

Launching the series of vinyl releases in September is a remastered vinyl-only release of the original mix, as well as the best-known version of this classic track, the iconic Three ‘N One Remix.
Nearly 30 years ago, Paul M aka DJ Kid Paul recording as Energy 52 unleashed a record onto an unsuspecting public that would go on to define club culture for an entire generation of dance music enthusiasts. Named as an homage to the legendary Ibiza sunset spot, Café Del Mar broke down boundaries between the underground and the mainstream, charting in the UK singles charts on three separate occasions and named as the “best tune ever” by Mixmag at the start of the new millennium. In terms of cultural and emotional impact in dance music, it’s hard to find a record that comes close.
Café Del Mar has come to represent the most euphoric and hedonistic pleasures of dancefloors - in Ibiza and all around the world - and has been remixed by some of the biggest names in the industry. Now, 30 years after its original release, Superstition Records will be putting out a new series of releases, with brand new remixes as well as remastered versions of some of the many remixes from across the last three decades. The vinyl-only remastered version of the original and Three ‘N One mixes will launch the series, with further details about the rest of the series announced in the coming weeks.
In 2021 Paul Van Dyk’s Café Del Mar remixes launched a series of vinyl and digital re-issues on the Superstition Records imprint after an almost 20 years hiatus. From 1993 until 2003 Superstition Records was a groundbreaking Techno, Tech-House and Trance Label and released some of the biggest and most revered records of the early German electronic scene.

B1 Yu Su - Oil
B2 Benedek - Desperado
Release Info:
Polifonic Records is the melodic balance between antagonistic vibrations, spirits and energies
that inhabit the land of Puglia since the dawn of time.
An harmonic exploration into colorful, vibrant sunrise atmospheres and emotional, introspective
sunset sensations. One Body. Many Souls.
PF004 // The fourth vinyl of Polifonic Records label brings together artists from different cultures
and ethnicities to create a seamless blend of sounds with diverse influences. Encompassing
genres like house, Balearic beat, and acid, harmonized through ambient arrangements and 4-tothe-floor rhythm patterns to chill and groove to, this record is a material embodiment of the
multicultural and polyhedric approach that Polifonic adopts throughout the multiple extensions of
our projects.
The first track “Generations of Sunsets” by Lipelis joining with Andy Butler from Hercules and
Love Affairs, vividly illustrates the extent of their sonic palette: a journey that runs through a
Balearic groove - also with the use of guitar - and expands the mind to exotic places keeping the
body moving with its acid touch.
Italian 90’s riviera house meets percussions and ethnic grooves in the born new track from the
Milano duo Eternal Love. “Kuasi Riviera” reflects perfectly the nature of Polifonic between clubby
atmospheres and connection with the wild world.
Then comes the darker side with Yu Su, who switches it up with new diversions in tempo and
rhythm throughout “Oil” with a blend of deep basslines and obscure soundscapes contributing to
this journey through space and time.
Benedek’s “Desperado” doesn’t shy away from deep diving right back to the 90s Italian house
overlapping bold soundscapes through the lens of a contemporary producer. Distinctive,
immersive, and dauntless. More

Release Info:
The next release on Heist is the result of some serious Instagram A&R by yours truly. Canada's number one jackin' house ambassador Demuir drops an EP loaded with that true house energy and it comes topped off with a swirling and twirling trip of a remix by Lady Blacktronika.
It's funny how good music sometimes falls in your lap. It was a random Instagram scrolling session with my mind switched off, when our insta-feed suddenly propelled into a sweet groove. I awoke from the matrix and realized I was looking at Demuir in his studio, who had recorded a little clip of a track he was working on. I immediately texted him and forced him to tell us what that was. His answer? A new unreleased tune by him. A coffee and 2 emails later, we received a mail with that track and a list of others to choose from. This ep is the result of that short online interaction and a mutual love for high energy house music. This record showcases Demuir's knack for rolling grooves and also shows a deeper, more electronic side of his that might surprise you.
The track we're talking about above is 'Werq. Feel. Gruv. Vogue.' A rough sounding, bumping house track that would have worked just as well in any club in the 90's as it will in today's world of clubbing. The 'Vogue' sample has that 'tongue in cheek'-vibe we like so much and the groove is just irresistible. Top that off with some lovely Rhodes loops, a little disco chop here and there and you've got yourself a very original party starter.
We always try to put out diverse EP's on Heist, and with 'the 3nity returneth', Demuir delivers a Detroit-tech inspired steam train of a track. The track represents the confidence an artist needs to make it in the music scene. He lays down the groove with a rough bass, rolling hats and a lovely string sample and adds glimmering electronics for a touch of spirituality.
The B-side has two versions of 'Philippine Sunrise'. The original is a rolling house track with airy synth hits, a Moog-ish rising lead and a freakishly good bass line. The remix comes courtesy of LA native, Berlin based Lady Blacktronika, who turns the trip factor up a notch or two. She chooses to go for a heads down direction with a series of dreamy loops to set the mood, all alongside an endless bassline and a steady house groove.
We hope you'll enjoy the electronic funk in this EP as much as we do.
Yours Sincerely,
Lars & Maarten
