Berlin based Brit BNJMN returns to his regular label home of Delsin with a brand new mini-album of experimental cuts that continue his journey into ever more decayed, lo-fi and gritty sound sculpture. As well as albums on Rush Hour and Astro: Dynamics, BNJMN has put out a fine EP on Stolen Kisses and in 2015 started his own label Brack with two great releases. This new release features six tracks and kicks off with 'Microgravity,' a shadowy exercise in suspensory dub that ripples and groans, growing in menace over its static laced three minutes. Next, 'Womb' is a vast chamber of glory synths and rippling pads that sounds like it comes from the after life, 'P-Tr' is a high tension, nerve jangling brew of glassy electronics with heavy kicks buried deep below and '1987', a fuzzy, darkened brew of spacious kicks, whirring machines and bubbly tape sounds that are seriously foreboding. 'Oder' is a more emotional work where multiple synth lines echo about and emit cautious rays of light, then finally 'Amygdala' is based around a frazzled, oversized and spraying bassline that is backed by radiant pads and a dystopian house groove and it rounds out another expertly outlier collection full of strange yet compelling tracks and textures.

BNJMN's album Hypnagogia gets the remix treatment. The Berlin based Brit is a common name seen on Delsin since 2014. Here he invites four of his favourite producers to give their twist to his latest album. Featuring Efdemin, Luigi Tozzi, rRoxymore and Mattheis. Up first, Efdemin turns one of the title tracks into a driving and fierce techno twister where Italian producer Luigi Tozzi eases out the bounciness of Indub's original into an atmospheric dub-techno floater. On the flip rRoxymore does her magic with squeaky percussion riffs and playful melodies turning the original ambient jam into a vivid dance floor roller. Finalizing the pack is Nous'klaer mainstay Mattheis using his instinctive feeling for melodies to create a hypnotizing yet gentle version of Moth Lines. More

BNJMN - Walking Into Yourself
BNJMN returns to Bright Sounds with Sensei; following on from the foundations laid by his "Final Network" EP released in the spring of 2018 he again showcases the melodic, yet hypnotic and pulsating side of his sound that he has become renowned for.
Starting with the almost house-like "Soared Above" synths fly over syncopated rhythms which build and then descend into something harsher and earthier.
"Intercellular" goes somewhat harder, yet still retaining the hypnotism and lightness of touch which will suit most hours in the club.
The title track is an exercise in restraint, one for the early hours when everything blurrs and only the space in between the sounds carry you along.
"Walking Into Yourself" showcases the dreamiest side of BNJMN, in slowing down the BPM the producer shows the intricate details of his sound, letting the listener in on a dense forestlike journey. More

After making his debut on the label in 2014, Berlin based Brit BNJMN returns to Delsin to release his latest artist album, Hypnagogia. This album comes after years of experimenting but is the first time since his Black Square album on Rush Hour in 2011 that the artist has felt he has finished a cohesive body of work. Hypnagogia counts ten tracks of atmospheric techno that ranges from deeply comforting to turbulent and edgy. There are moments of beautiful ambient reflection on tracks like 'Glowed' and 'Over White Peaks', plenty of the unique sense of melody BNJMN is known for as well as hypnotic tracks that trap you in a trance. Tracks like 'Theta Wave' show BNJMN is always conjuring up unique patterns and beguiling textures, while 'Hypnagogia Pt 2' is built on the sort of drum programming that will always lock in the floor.

Since its launch in 2013, Bright Sounds has established itself as a label bridging the gap between the dancefloor and more experimental sounds, releasing EPs by the likes of Shlomo, Tilliander, Burnt Friedman or more recently Conforce. On its eleventh release, the label welcomes Ben Thomas aka BNJMN with 'Final Network EP', the UK producer based in Berlin and releasing on Tresor, Delsin, Counterchange or more recently on his newly founded imprint: Tiercel. The EP opens up with 'Reticuli', an ambient techno journey into a forest of otherworldly sounds. 'Neurocity' comes next with its rattling sounds met by disorienting and spooky melodies. On the B-Side 'Cloaked' starts off with bare kick and congos before waves of
drones add textures producing an eerie atmosphere. The title track closes this EP, slowly building to create an ecstatic floating mood, leaving you longing for more as it gently fades away. More

BNJMN presents Body Reflections Pt.2 - the second step in his new, subdued and intricate sonic direction. The highly textured ambient dance music that characterized the first chapter released earlier this year seamlessly continues onto this new reference. Each track on the EP introduces symmetry and rhythm in the form of organic percussion. Whether lethargic and ethereal, blanketed with discordant melodies and arcing synth lines, or, more dance-oriented - with sophisticated interplays of percussive elements looping over soft harmonies. Body Reflections Pt.2 is deeply illustrative of BNJMN's affinity for creating nuanced and delicately balanced layers, and a culmination of his vast experience.

bnjmn - Where The Wild Berries Grow
Bnjmn’s exceptional back catalogue, straddling gorgeous synth-laden house, experimental techno and textural ambient diversions, spans 2 LPs on key Dutch labels Rush Hour, and numerous Eps for Delsin, alongside 12''s on his own Brack imprint. The prolific British producer now follows up his recent ‘Droid' single on Delsin, which featured remixes from close colleagues Cassegrain and Ed Davenport's Inland alter-ego. Tipping his cap to 90s industrial techno, the A side delivers two uncompromising cuts. 'MDCCLXXII' is pacy and tough – brash drums merging with metallic, tonal signals and searing hats. 'Tor' is similarly up-tempo however more stripped in comparison, Bnjmn continuing his inventive and challenging sound design in this Beltram-esque bassline killer. The B side makes quite a contrast - 'T.E.N.S' being a short collage of buzzing, cerebral electronics, leading into 'Where The Wild Berries Grow'. It's a fuzzy, hypnotic trip stretching out over 8 minutes – a glistening blend of lo-fi ambience and post-club psychedelia, all the while keeping us locked into a padded 4/4 throb.

Limited to 300 copies. Support from Josh Wink, Luke Slater, DVS1, Pfirter, Marco Bernardi, Markus Suckut, Ambivalent, Ben Sims, Marcel Fengler, Randomer & Mosca. BRACK, the new imprint from UK-born Berlin-based producer BNJMN, is back in quick succession with another strong transmission from the label boss. After plunging into dirtier, darker sonic waters on the Pitchfork-tipped BRACK001, Chromed continues the descent. While the propulsive rhythms and skilfully stacked samples remain intact, these 4 tracks are imbued with subtler elements that become more apparent with repeated listens. Drums don't just bang, they scrape, stab and shudder, and the typically mesmeric synth-lines are swathed in analogue hiss and seething low-end. Idiosyncratic aural details have always been a specialty of the young producer, but here they rise to the fore. The rapidly flourishing sound world that is BRACK comes more into focus, and it appears it is even more intricate and musically rich than on first glance.

BNJMN comes with an entirely new and different project, BRACK. Receiving support from George Fitzgerald on Radio 1. Following a string of excellent releases for the likes of Rush Hour and Delsin, the Berlin-based British producer has launched his own imprint. Its inaugural release promises to simultaneously satisfy long-time listeners, and throw them for a loop. BRACK001 sees BNJMN venturing outside his digital domain for the first time, eschewing polished, computer-based constructions for an altogether dirtier, darker sound.

Eevo Lute originator Wladimir M. shares another chapter of his precious techno poetry. "When I was nine years old, I heard 'Funkytown' on the radio of the pool attendant over and over again. I still go to that pool. In the mid-eighties, everyone at my high school knew 'Don't Go'. And I turned sixteen, or seventeen. And was blown away by the bass line of Los 'Ninos Del Parque'. I heard it for the first time in the dark, one of the first times in that discotheque. The bass line was so atypical that I kept losing it, there in that stuffy classroom where a teacher was telling us about 'economics'. And where Peter, who was sitting next to me, was talking about 'Computer World'. And further away there was Chicago House, little did we know. I was born for it." Wladimir M. (1968), 2024

Limited 10 year anniversary repress with black/white artwork. In May 2014, Icelandic producer Yagya released his fifth album, Sleepygirls, across three slabs of vinyl on Dutch label Delsin. It's a deep, spacious and dubbed out affair that stays locked at a pleasingly sedentary tempo throughout. Since 2002 Yagya has been crafting lush electronic albums and always manages to find pure bliss and beauty and his simple, nature inspired soundscapes. "I wanted to create an album that's atmospheric, repetitive, and easy to listen to over and over again," says the man himself. "Something that works well in the background (e.g. when concentrating on work), as well as up close in a big sound system. I also wanted to learn how to make my music sound better than before, since I'm a huge sound-nerd, so that was a part of the goal for me personally." The album is a fine fusion of tropes from Yagya's earlier albums, features jazz instrumentalists that improvise beautiful melodies over monotonic, almost drone-like, techno beats and also uses live recordings of Japanese vocals, saxophone and guitar to counter the repetitiveness of the rhythms. Right from the rolling bliss of the opener, you're suspended in a womb like pillow of sound that is soft, warm and serenely beautiful. As tracks roll on, the pace stays the same but themes vary from upright and summery to more elongated and insular. This is natural, organic dub that is a delight and a pleasure to listen to. The vinyl versions of each track have been specially mixed with random LFOs, sonic quirks and unique fingerprints making them the subtly different to the CD version, but overall this is a brain soothing and mind melting album that can soundtrack lazy days, long summer afternoons and warm winter evenings in equal style.

Finnish deep techno maestro Kaspiann makes his Mantis debut with four densely packed depth charges of dancefloor meditation. The Helsinki-based artist has been entrenched in the city's underground scene for a long time, organising official and unofficial parties, DJing prolifically and performing live. Since establishing his VALA label in 2021 via a split release with regular collaborator Multicast Dynamics, his sound has refined towards an elegant, heads-down sound which is represented perfectly on this four-track excursion. From the even-tempered mantra of 'Satakieli' to the aqueous, lightly dubbed electro of 'Tuiskussa Langennut', the warm after hours synth bath of 'Havinavalssi' and the pensive percussive of 'Solina', Kaspiann demonstrates a keen balance between richly layered detail and an overall subtlety - heavyweight music that feels light on the ears.

Experimental Japanese operator Lemna returns to Mantis with another five intricately sculpted cuts that toy with tension, release and the mysterious atmosphere of the forest at dawn. Lemna adopts a considered, patient approach to her music practice, creating interlocking rhythms which take cues from Autonomic fragmentation as much as techno hypnosis, but it's the spatial pressure and textural sound design which makes her music truly fly. Taking predawn walks in woods at the foot of the mountain she calls home, she drew inspiration from five different organisms within the vibrant ecosystem around her to create a collection of tracks she aptly refers to as 'Nocturnal Assembly'.

It was through the preparation of this re-issue Steve found out now 25 years later they had shortened the track by four minutes back then for some reason. Steve Rachmad's richly melodic strain of techno has resulted in a huge body of work he has been growing since the early 90s. His sound is the perfect distillation of machine soul - dubby atmospherics and crisp, danceable dynamics balanced in perfect unison. Reeko - Soberanos Del Sistema
Delsin welcomes Spanish techno icon Reeko to their Cameron series. Pushing his impressive take on techno for the past 20 years he keeps re-inventing himself, with a recent move on Berlin's Samurai Music presenting a full drum & bass EP as perfect example of this. And also here for Delsin, it's a fresh approach exploring new sides of techno. It's broken and wiggly with dreamy riffs tying it all together. Uplifting mountain valley techno combined with stepping off-beat kick drum jams. It's a flawless pack where Reeko shows he's capable of creating playful heads down techno of any kind.
