Cryovac Recordings is proud to release its’ 20th edition on random colored vinyl. Cryovac is a gathering of minds that work together to create a physical record of their sound in this time. We go our own way in production and arrangement for our personal vision to endure. Our goal is to add a new layer to the Detroit soundscape.
D.J. Roach is a techno activist with a rhythm agenda of percussive techno. His banging and clanging romps rock through breakdowns and back again. Conga and claps work together to form a shaky funk. what is needed for a healthy dancefloor.
A.Garcia’s subtle drone rides waves of synth in an offering of minimal ease. His moody atmosphere turns tone in soulful harmony; while simple drumming builds to a nonchalant bop. The rise and fall of the elements allow you to examine the track on all sides. Garcia smoothes out an early morning gem that is taylormade for a smoke.

Proper mathematics of programming moves a mix match of harmonies through a gauntlet of invisible edits gaining momentum until it is taken away. This is Docile music.

Docile Recordings is an independent artist label that chooses to follow its’ own identity. Docile works to describe the beauty of our existence and depths of our depravity. These tracks represent a struggle to preserve a time and place into the grooves of the only medium that can accurately display our craft. Docile is vision kept alive by good will and loyal service. Docile recordings number twenty five starts with a soulful bop stumbling around nonsense words that form rhythm in an upbeat minimal jam. Track two spirits a moving melody through random digitals and walls of harmonic hypnotics. Track three has a childlike appeal with its cheap keyboard and boisterous synth knocking an easy melody through moments of naive transcendence. Sound exists to be stolen, cut up, re-arranged, and turned on its head. Good sound, once produced, should be preserved for proper arrangement.
Docile #21 is a collection of elements that have been captured from unique sources and fused into fluid creations. Environment and progress of time are catalysts for a creation to form a process. Docile’s nameless and faceless process works to liberate a new sound and describe its’ own natural pattern.
Docile connects to the random to pull out patterns; those patterns can be honed down to construct a logical but abstract funk. Mistakes are made and processed and reworked into a melody. Nonsensical, indiscriminant, drunkin’ funk turns to soulful harmony with presence and conviction.
