The feel of this release ranges from a pragmatic spiritual funk to a loose heabangin’ frivolity. Docile 32 is 4/4 minimal held together by soulful synth and smart percussion advanced by ringing highs and detuned horns. Proper mathematics of programming moves a mix match of harmonies through a gauntlet of invisible edits gaining momentum until it is taken away. This is Docile music.

These tracks represent a struggle to preserve a time and place into the grooves of the only medium that can accurately display our craft. Docile is vision kept alive by good will and loyal service. Docile recordings number twenty five starts with a soulful bop stumbling around nonsense words that form rhythm in an upbeat minimal jam. Track two spirits a moving melody through random digitals and walls of harmonic hypnotics. Track three has a childlike appeal with its cheap keyboard and boisterous synth knocking an easy melody through moments of naive transcendence. The development of the Docile sound has evolved at its’ own pace over time. The assembly of sound is an intuitive process, and the acceptance of errors is a vital part of the Docile working method. Docile is a labor of love that takes a stand against mass produced music that an artist is well removed from. Docile has a hands-on dedication to every part of the vinyl process to ensure what you get is a legitimate effort. Team Docile are craftsmen that use their collective skills to produce vinyl with a unique quality and sense of style. The over all sound of Docile #20 can be described as soulfully dark, immature, and lovesick amid a funky party atmosphere. The personalities of each track nudge you to its direction with simple grooves that tell stories that are felt without words. We stay in the midst of an ever evolving sound while expressing our own individuality. As an artist label, their goal is to provide a unique version of Detroit minimal. Old sensibilities are used to guide basic progression along a path of tweaks and burps. Ticks, clicks and melody are used to hold together the shifting center of a busy bop.
