Anton Klint has been on our radar for a good 10 years now with killer releases as Tiedye on Italians Do It Better,

and under his own name on Public Possession, 2MR and Hivern Discs just to mention a few.

Since 2016 he's also been running the label Tryck & Ton together with his old Tiedye sparring partner

Edvin Edvinsson.

Key Selling Points
Last spotted tomfooling as Tryck & Ton with Edvin Edvinsson, and prior to that as Tiedye on Mike Simonetti’s Italians Do It Better imprint, subversive Swede Anton Klint makes his debut on Simonetti’s latest label 2MR with two more vitally trippy, heavily dub-informed originals.
‘Mun’ chugs at a stately 107. Rippling in places, squiggling in others, there’s an unabashed FX weirdness bubbling and popping over the insistent shimmering dubwise groove. Tweaking, freaking but running at such a smooth temper there’s space between the chaos, Anton is balancing some heavily hypnotic alchemy here.
‘Strupe’ takes things even lower and slower. A dusty bluesy chugger, unhurried-yet-relentlessly building with a great sense of cosmic drama, listen and marvel as more elements are precision introduced throughout the seven minute trip. A masterclass in modern day honkytonk.
Remix-wise we’re thrusted into the later hours with a technoid twist from Andre Laos. Maintaining Anton’s original’s trippy charm and measured pace but re-amping it with grittier foundation, teasing risers and an insurgent synth strike, it’s the perfect complement to one of 2MR’s most singular releases to date. Open wide.

The 6th offering by Public Possession comes from our old friend Anton Klint. We have been playing records together for many years and he is for sure one of the best Rock/Disco DJs we know. He has put out a few records together with his partner Edvin Edvinson as Tiedye in the past, but this is his first ever solo production to be released. We are very happy that we could work with him on this one and are now able to present to you "The Spritzer EP". Whilst Part 01 is more pumping and dance floor orientated, on Part02 Anton develops an epic guitar driven flood of joy.
Play this at the riviera beaches and on the Cote d'Azur... you can be be sure to have bottles pop open and blouses unbutton immediately.

Baba Stiltz has written and produced the award winning soundtrack for the Swedish Movie „Shame On Dry Land (Syndabocken)“. Awarded the „Guldbagge“ price for best feature film soundtrack in 2024, the music is dense, at times oppressive, than again light-mediterranean, all perfectly accompanying the stories vibe. The score is now available on vinyl and digitally for the first time.
Baba Stiltz moving between Stockholm & LA. A myth, a young legend. Writing music since the tender age of 13, not bound by genres or expectations. Used to do Skweee before he defined his own sound of Tech House - skipped that (temporarily?). Now moving on to more folkloristic styles: country, rock, indie… you name it. Good Musik.

extensive time of travel. The artist was on a journey to explore mountains, lands & monuments of the
world. On this road that led through water, air and over earth - music was a constant companion. Alike

dense and vibrant, than again full of space with lots of room to breathe - always in some sort of trance,

Available for the first time and on CD only, the live sessions of Baba Stiltz second LP „Paid Testimony“ recorded earlier this year at the legendary „Atlantis Studios“ in Stockholm. Full Music info below: When he‘s not writing or recording, Baba Stiltz immerses in fearless fiction by the likes of Denis
Johnson and Dodie Bellamy; prose where pedestrian details become transcendent in aggregate and the inner lives of marginal characters are examined as though they were kings. A similar thesis runs through „Paid Testimony“, the essential second tape of minimalist guitar music from the Filipino-American-Swedish artist.
In recent years, Stiltz has made like Lee Hazelwood‘s Cowboy In Sweden in reverse, making annual pilgrimages from Stockholm to California and reconnecting with his roots via a guitar and a Fostex 4- track. He‘s drawn to the less glamorous corners of the golden state, an observant habitué of unkempt
streets and dive bars stretching from LA to Vacaville. It‘s a long stretch from the jetset techno clubs where Baba originally plied his musical trade, but it‘s where he finds characters and ideas worth writing about.
The characters on „Paid Testimony“ are on the edge and on the run. Surrounded by flawed men with big schemes since childhood, he extrapolates characters who plot bank heists and order milk and vodka in AM hours, the type of confrontation- prone characters who „say some shit, make everyone
uncomfortable and then just split.“ To focus on the rawness of this document would discount the humor and sympathy with which he treats his characters, not to mention the subtly- psychedelic songwriting recalling David Berman, early Smog, the original indie rock minimalist poets.
On the final song, Stiltz looks back on the city that raised him, „Stockholm,“ referencing „young professionals carelessly living“ before adding „I can‘t say I‘m not jealous even though I live my life just like they do.“ There‘s an honesty in the small details revealed on „Paid Testimony“, and a defined
sense of place, be it Stockholm, Sacramento or some dim barroom across from the Bank Of America. Baba doesn‘t quite fit in anywhere. This outsider quality has often been used as a marketing tool, yet here, it lends a writerly aspect to the proceedings, an unreality to the everyday.
