Posters announce a daily action: A professional marksman shoots daily at 12 o’clock from a distance of approximately 15 meters at a paper flower. The number of shots is limited to a maximum of three per day. Upon a hit, the flower is replaced by a new one, the action ends and is continued the next day with a new flower. The bullet holes in the wall are not removed. The flowers remain lying on the floor until the end of the exhibition or event and are then given away.
Posters are produced in color variants (yellow, orange, red, violet, light blue, green) to advertise the action:
Every day at noon a professional marksman will shot at a paper flower (place of action to be filled in).
This performance was first presented at The Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh in November and December 1999 and subsequently repeated (Aberystwyth, London, Nottingham, 2000 – 2002 and Langenhagen, 2007).
The action will be re-staged as part of the Klang Moor Schopfe Festival in Gais, September 4 –14, 2025.
The present audio recordings document the action at Kunstverein Langenhagen.

IN THE WOODS THERE IS A BIRD… is both an ongoing sound and publication project by Olaf Nicolai, published as a contribution to documenta 14 and the documenta 14 radio program. Undoubtedly one of the most important and influential electronic artists to have emerged in popular music, the sonic misfit from Cornwall, Aphex Twin, released a breathtaking slew of early singles and albums from 1991 onwards (and continues to present day). The first clutch of groundbreaking works came on the legendary Belgium label R&S Records and were collected on a compilation album ‘Classics’, released in 1995, and followed the global success of the timeless album ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’.
‘Classics’ receives a long overdue vinyl & CD re-press for 2025, with a fresh vinyl cut by acclaimed mastering engineer Beau Thomas, and a R&S Records sticker sheet inserted into the LP sleeves including cover artwork of the two singles ‘Digeridoo’ and ‘Xylem Tube’ EP which are both featured on this compilation album.

Where their earlier works settled into the sun-struck torpor of a suburban Perth backyard (69) or drifted off-course on a riverboat on Port Phillip Bay (ii), Legends trades salt air for vineyard sweat, the scrape of boots on dry earth and workers’ radios humming with the summer test cricket season.
Through this agricultural haze an image of a working vineyard emerges - ducks, dogs and plovers intrude; tractors and quads fly-by; stainless steel gleams at the edges. Recorded without mains power, the Manon demos overflow with farmyard ingenuity. Wind, brass, balalaika, balloon, pipe and synth are trained onto the staff with wire, tape and string.
A caricature of Australian viticulture, Legends is packed to the horns with the mythology and manure of natural wine. Swigging and belching in camaraderie, Wilson Tanner press their surroundings into something raw and unfiltered, letting bum notes, leftovers and sediment linger in the bottle. A cornucopia of biodynamic sounds.

Written and produced by Thomas Melchior and Baby Ford aka Soul Capsule, these tracks came from one of the many sessions recorded at the West London Ifach Studio in 1999. On the A Side "Overcome" is stripped back and energetic, driven by rolling and shuffling garage style beats, tight bubbling bass and atmospheric synth pads. The intermittent vocal samples and the release's signature organ set you up for the flip, "Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)". Possibly one of house music's most emotive pieces, the track builds slowly with the introduction of each part building a story of soulful optimism based around a sparse palette of deep synths, uplifting keys and warm analogue bass. These eight compositions pull in a by-catch of maritime folklore; of Siren and Selkie, Seagull and engine oil slick. A change of course from their debut album 69 (Growing Bin Records, 2016), the ambient temperature drops as II casts out to sea in uncertain weather and returns to the safe harbours of Port Phillip Bay.
The seafarers head out to My Gull's poised optimism. The birds watch but do they listen? By the arrival of Loch and Key, the shoreline has dissolved completely, the boat floating in serene infinity as the rest of the world spins. Conditions soon take a treacherous turn on Killcord Pts I-III - a 12 minute odyssey that battens down the hatches as these sailors eye merciless waves and blinding ocean spray, jointly channelling Berlin-school electronics and sea legs. In the aftermath, the waterlogged bleeps of Idle survey the damage as our parched crew sound the distress signal and ultimately descend into delirium.
Known for navigating individual courses as solo musicians, Wilson and Tanner's collective storytelling is saturated in detail, buoying between tension and harmony. II modestly stands as some of both artists' most accomplished material.

A uniquely provincial take on ambient music, Andrew Wilson (Andras) and John Tanner (Eleventeen Eston) assembled their prized debut over a shared love of seafood, wine and LPG. Wilson Tanner’s 69 returns to Australian soil for a new season. A uniquely provincial take on ambient music, Andrew Wilson (Andras) and John Tanner (Eleventeen Eston) assembled their prized debut over a shared love of seafood, wine and LPG. Recorded in a Perth backyard, these two new friends reached for the tools at hand and made the best of the fine weather. Instrument and implement combine in a languorous bricolage of synthesizer, clarinet and building materials - interrupted only by the occasional flutter of pigeon wings or a call to lunch. Back in print for the first time since 2017, Wilson Tanner hop into Efficient Space’s expanding pot.

Following the lush listening LP outing by KAMM, the EG team is back in fine floorrocking form, this time with both label operatives on the dials as Rodney joins Dave Aju
for his debut co-production. And what a debut it is: Highly-potent, raw, swinging house
music of the highest order, complete with knocking 909 kicks, thick slapping snares,
and a hypnotic melodic call-and-response tonal section that keeps things properly
lifted and moving throughout.
The vox evoke label boss Aju’s earlier catalog work, and he’s in particularly pointed
mode here, spitting fire spoken word lines calling out various questionable corners of
the dance music scene and humanity on the whole. A bold light-shining display during
notably dark times, defending the once-sacred underground dance space against
runaway trends of ego-driven capitalism, online image over actual skill sets, and the
beyond low-ball barrier of entry into the arena. But by the time the soulful chorus lines
hit and rise us up and onward toward the blissful musical finish, it is clear that this is in
fact a unifying floor anthem and that indeed despite our differences amidst
disheartening global chaos, at least “We Still Dancin".
As always with the seasoned DJ-focussed three-piece Elbow Grease EP offerings, here
we have the full A-side OG Vocal Mix cut at a crispy and tight 45rpm, a deliciously
stripped and leveled-up EG Dub Mix on the B1, and finally the uplifting B2 Vibe Mix
which doubles-down as half ambient instrumental builder and essential acapella

After a long break from the 12" club format, Pedro Vian returns with a four-track EP aimed at the dancefloor. One of the key cuts is a club version of "I am OK", originally released on his latest album The Addiction (2025).
The EP also includes an additional track, "Teresa (Comelade's Piano Redubbed)" - a reinterpretation that samples Pascal Comelade's version of a song by Ovidi Montllor, the iconic Catalan folk singer known for his poetic, politically charged work during the post-Franco era. Vian reshapes this reference into a meditative ambient piece.
