Following on from the three highly-acclaimed CoOp Presents 'Selectors Assemble' compilation EPs from the past year, it's now time to focus on some of the individual talents from the ever-evolving movement. As the international foundation grows, we invite aboard the extremely talented Neue Grafik into the fold. French producer, instrumentalist and DJ, Neue Grafik, has been building a strong rep for himself over the past few years, releasing records previously on labels such as Rhythm Section, 22a and Wolf Music. His sound is a hybrid of jazz, house, broken beat and hip hop, all with his unique geographical flavours of African ethnicity, Parisian roots and a love for London thrown into the mix. Long time friend of the label, Neue Grafik, steps forth with his most fully realised offering to date. This record has been a long time coming, born out of a encounter in Paris back in 2016. This meeting of minds led to a blossoming friendship between Fred ( Neue Grafik) and Bradley ( RS INTL) which has taken them across 3 continents, countless dance-floors and finally crystallised onto this 12”. The record itself takes cues from the broken-beat sound of London while paying homage to the Parisian house dance scene. Largely sample based, but also employing much more live instrumentation than ever before, Neue Grafik’s music is informed by movement and in turn offers so much for Dancers to respond to.

This EP is the second part of a trilogy that Neue Grafik began with "Pris" on the label Beat X Changers. The next and last EP of the series coming up on this label will be "The end of the Replicant stories". For the moment, are out :­ Pris (A basic pleasure model) ­ Roy (Nexus 6 who killed is creator) Like Roy, Batty said to himself: "It's not an easy thing to meet your maker". The music on this EP is about anger, acceptation, love and complicated relationships with fathers. There is a lot of references to African roots, legends and to Neue Grafik's deep feelings for the city of Paris.

Music is feeling, music is meetings. In 2015, the S3A RECORDS 04 was released with collaborations of good friends of S3Amet in the world by the music (Tito Wun, Mannmademusic). This Sampler continue the story with tracks from people S3A met during gigs and travels in the past year: Sweely delivers here great speedy long jazz banger with a great voice sample as a theme. The Columbian Felipe Gordon gives a great stompy funk bass track! On the B side, The French G2S drops a beautiful house sample based “Graef like” song. For the last track need a little bit of story. In 2016 S3A released an EP called 3711 on SoundOfSpeed records in Japan. The track “Bush” taken from this EP has been remixed during a contest in early 2018. 42 Remixes were done and the winner has is remix edited here. Pnom Pen gives us here his 80’s electro version of the track adding great pads and a complete different rhythm and grooves! More

Since the very first release of Tommy’s Turbojazz project, we wanted to have him with us on the boast. Llorca known for the success of his first album on F Communication in 2001, returned in 2017 for his second album called The Garden on Must Have Jazz / Membran. This album was a great opportunity for S3A Records to work with him on the Remix EP of this second album. Cuthead, S3A, Souleance and Rim Laurens make here 4 great remixes in completely different styles. This EP goes from the stomping house of Cuthead to Rim Laurens’ breakbeat ambient, passing by S3A emotional disco/house track featuring Georg Levin (Sonar Kollektiv/BBE).

Sampling as an art is a concept: Taking samples away from their origins forward something new, emotional or even Funny. “Le grand détrounement” was a movie made in the 90’s by great actors of French media “Canal+”. It took several 50>80’s movies with classical American actors, cutting them and redubbing to make a big funny story.
