Far from uneventful, the hiatus has seen the boys turn the IR name into a synonym of quality music and attention to detail through a series of wildly successful events. Now, the record label wheels are back in motion and Indigo Raw is, true to form, coming back with one massive bang. ]

Continuing to refine the special marriage of smooth grooves and fat beats that has so quickly come to define them, DeWalta & Shannon have delivered eight distinct peeks into an electrifying creative process that run the gamut from deep and moody to minimal or, dare we say, jazzy.
Split into two vinyl releases and a third, comprehensive digital drop, Residual appears first as a playful introduction to the lay of the land, complete with a mean-ass modular monster aptly named Jugular Dub that could belong to no one else but these two. The second installment brings us the old-school banger begging for a big room, Miss Wrench, followed by a deconstructed jam session on the moon and rounded out by the sonar-bleeping Duality.

Uruguayan Guillermo Miranda is no stranger to Cynosure Recordings having released a number of EPs in the past as part of the defunct super duo Monoblock. Following a path to the dancefloor similar to his past collab releases with Martin Teysera Guillermo steps it up and delivers a bomb combination of Chunky house groove and futurist techno sound design with the DRAGONES Y OTRO COSAS EP. Guille doesn't waste time and bangs the box with style on "My Doin". Some very punchy drums served up with a tasty synth hook, makes a mean Techno House meal. The title track "Legal In Uruguay" is a slick, shuffled, bong influenced, techno burner. Some additional production from Mike Shannon shines in a few familiar areas while Guille comes with a massively catchy hook that drops at about 3 minutes in. Hands up! Hands up! The Deep and Headstrong B side called "Dragones y otro cosas" has a slinky groove that leads to a mind puzzle of a breakdown. Mind melting with some Modular synth madness for almost a minute and then dropping the listener back into some ultra deep territory. Magic.

Mike Shannon throws another volley of no way back and only forward techno. Gravitron is the monster A side named after a cheap amusement park ride that spins it's passengers inside a wheel faster and faster until it's passengers are all floating off the ground. Playing this track at 100 db should also give the listener the same effect. Valosel 4000 is a phase shifted bass monster. With a chest hitting kick this track takes hold of a spacious, wave table bass line that connects the listener with a sound influenced from early 90's UK techno/hardcore but weaves it's reference into a complex maze of compression and dynamics only found in the music of the future.

Mike Shannon has revived Cynosure Recordings after a two-year hibernation, and its revenge has come with a focus on Mike's solo productions and Collaborations. Reset, Bleep puts the label's catalogue back at 000 and begins to count backwards to where its roots began.
The A1 - Bleep Back is a deep bass monster with some definite in your face, morphing wave table trickery. And if Shannon's latest sets are anything to go by, it is a tried tested and true weapon on the dance floor, one that you'll find yourself coming back to in your mind. Following is "Serge Up", a super dry and crunchy minimal house number produced with the famous Serge Modular system, a rare synth used by producers like Richie Hawtin and Jean Michel Jarre. In the hands of Shannon, this machine has produced some of the weirdest and wildest sound to come out of his studio to date. Finally we have "Bleep Forward", an alternate mix of the A1 track. This time Shannon enlists the help of NYC/Berlin badass Evan Baggs. This version leans more towards a futurist sound with an underlying modular bubble and a synth progression that chugs tirelessly forward. Backed with an Aux88 style 808 groove and Ghetto Detroit style bass line, this track is poised to be a regular from Berlin to Brooklyn.
