Here it is! Shaddock’s 1st Release ‘Acid Dreams E.P.’ by the enigmatic duo Hitsafe, comprised of two individually accomplished producers from Germany and USA. A1 burner “Let The Acid Out” takes its cues from the past and reconceives them for present; it traverses through synth-driven Windy City acid, accompanied by itchy hi-hats, dubbed out piano chords and a disembodied voice that suggests: Let it out…’. On A2, US-born 303-aficionado Tin Man adds his signature melodic flair to his remix. He raises the tension and tempo with simultaneous synth lines that rise and fall, combine and retreat, over a sped-up piano refrain and his own staccato vocals that morph into the peaktime repeated chorus: “acieeeed.” On the flipside, “Dreams of Love and Dreams” rides a looped melody of piping gospel organs, drawing on a skippy syncopated beat and mid-range bass movements to ground it firmly in the centre of the dancefloor. With heady, soulful vocals and a crashing crescendo of ride cymbals, “Dreams of Love and Dreams” is heavily influenced by classic New York garage, but keeps its gaze future-forward with the propulsion of modern production. For her recording debut on B2, 22-year-old Spanish powerhouse Isis makes her mark by isolating the low-end melody and cowbell pings of “Dreams of Love and Dreams” with her remix. She deconstructs the track to a dub framework of infectious bass and snaky percussion, for more urgent late-night concerns. A wordless vocal refrain and unharnessed piano chords then take it to the depths of a warehouse in the dark of night.
The shadowy duo Hitsafe have delivered a king hit with their debut, appealing to devotees of authentic house music, and launching Shaddock into the stratosphere.

Killekill House Trax is going strong – this time with a 4-tracker by the incredible Andreas Gehm. He sent us the music shortly before his death and said we could pick any of his artist names and his only condition was that the music was released on vinyl. Only after his death we realized that he had obviously already taken a decision then…
So we are releasing this record now as an homage to one of the most creative and funniest persons in the electronic universe of the last decade. The EP includes all his typical styles and ranges from hard jacking Acid House over weirdo Electro House to old school Chicago- leaning Piano House. A timeless record for all situations.

KHT 008 is coming from no less than the man who is called The Prince of Techno' by his peers. And that is for a reason: Blake was part of the first wave of Detroit techno artists and dis and contributed to the techno movement from the mid 80s. Tracks like When a dream becomes U' or Our love' are milestones of electronic music, his style, which he calls Poetry and Rhythm' is distinctive. For Killekill House Trax he delivers the Acid Life EP which comes along with two strong, acid driven tracks, the A-side darker and more chicago-oriented with its rhythmical focus and the punchy kick, the B-side more Detroit-ish with its uplifting chords.

The two brothers of GEBRÜDER TEICHMANN have been regular guests at the early KILLEKILL events. That’s because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. First of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. First of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: JOHNNY DAN- GEROUS aka FOREMOST POETS. With many Chicago greats, Johnny is One of the inventors of The Deep House Sound through his own blend of future funk & spoken word. In 1990, he released his first underground hit single “Reasons To Be Dismal?” on Nu Groove/SBK Records. A few years later, Johnny dropped the atomic bomb “Problem 13 (I Beat That *itch With A Bat)” in 1993 and orbited into the Dance Music Hall of Fame. Since then, the name carries great respect in the underground throughout the entire world. When Johnny’s striking voice appeared on his release “Moonraker”, he set a new standard for DJs around the world. Together with Johnny the TEICHMANNs have produced “TIME’S ALMOST UP!”, an acid house anthem that transports well the energy of Johnnys early works: funky, trippy and positive, a dance- floor with a consciousness that’s rare nowadays. LOSOUL, one of Germany’s finest house producers, delivers a reduced and even more tripped out version of the original.

KHT 002 comes from AFFIE YUSUF, a longtime legendary producer from London, who has released tons of tracks solo and in groups on labels such as Ferox, Force inc and many more. Meeting AFFIE YUSUF for the first time via internet was like meeting an old friend. A sympathy for the devil was our common sense and after hearing some of his unreleased music it was obvious we needed to get closer. For his first release on KILLEKILL he has sent us so many good tracks it was not easy for us to compile the first release. But here we go now with the I’m Free EP, a 12” full of house as we like it. Raw as shit and full of fun, funk and energy!

KILLEKILL herewith announces the start of a sub label focussing the housier side of what we like. KILLEKILL HOUSE TRAX starts with the release of a great track by ALEX CORTEX. Quite uptempo but groovy as hell “Oh Yeah” comes along with a strong reminiscence to classic chicago house with its strong bassline and the catchy vocal sample. TYREE COOPER added a simple but well working piano and packed the original into an even more classic outfit.
