Killekill House Trax is going strong – this time with a 4-tracker by the incredible Andreas Gehm. He sent us the music shortly before his death and said we could pick any of his artist names and his only condition was that the music was released on vinyl. Only after his death we realized that he had obviously already taken a decision then…
So we are releasing this record now as an homage to one of the most creative and funniest persons in the electronic universe of the last decade. The EP includes all his typical styles and ranges from hard jacking Acid House over weirdo Electro House to old school Chicago- leaning Piano House. A timeless record for all situations.
May you rest in peace, Andreas, and thanks for still rocking our floors, even when you are long gone!

KHT 008 is coming from no less than the man who is called The Prince of Techno' by his peers. And that is for a reason: Blake was part of the first wave of Detroit techno artists and dis and contributed to the techno movement from the mid 80s. Tracks like When a dream becomes U' or Our love' are milestones of electronic music, his style, which he calls Poetry and Rhythm' is distinctive. For Killekill House Trax he delivers the Acid Life EP which comes along with two strong, acid driven tracks, the A-side darker and more chicago-oriented with its rhythmical focus and the punchy kick, the B-side more Detroit-ish with its uplifting chords.

HITSAFE are a duo of established producers operating under an enigmatic moniker. Nothing new, you might say, and that is true. The music is so outstanding and unusual though, that in this case this approach really does make sense. SERIOUS JAW-WORK is funk in its purest form. And we mean real funk! Wonder how many djs will have the guts and abilities to play this one out… To round this release up, we asked LOPAZZ AND CASIO CASINO for a remix and these guys came up with two! Both are so good, we couldn’t make a choice. So here we go with both of them on this release. The JACK REMIX on A2 is a functional tech housy Überhit, suitable for all peaktime house floors, the JANE REMIX on the B-side is a moodymanesque version with a strong ludicruous tendency, that has all necessary qualities to become a timeless epic. The two brothers of GEBRÜDER TEICHMANN have been regular guests at the early KILLEKILL events. That’s because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. First of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. First of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: JOHNNY DAN- GEROUS aka FOREMOST POETS. With many Chicago greats, Johnny is One of the inventors of The Deep House Sound through his own blend of future funk & spoken word. In 1990, he released his first underground hit single “Reasons To Be Dismal?” on Nu Groove/SBK Records. A few years later, Johnny dropped the atomic bomb “Problem 13 (I Beat That *itch With A Bat)” in 1993 and orbited into the Dance Music Hall of Fame. Since then, the name carries great respect in the underground throughout the entire world. When Johnny’s striking voice appeared on his release “Moonraker”, he set a new standard for DJs around the world. Together with Johnny the TEICHMANNs have produced “TIME’S ALMOST UP!”, an acid house anthem that transports well the energy of Johnnys early works: funky, trippy and positive, a dance- floor with a consciousness that’s rare nowadays. LOSOUL, one of Germany’s finest house producers, delivers a reduced and even more tripped out version of the original.

KILLEKILL herewith announces the start of a sub label focussing the housier side of what we like. KILLEKILL HOUSE TRAX starts with the release of a great track by ALEX CORTEX. Quite uptempo but groovy as hell “Oh Yeah” comes along with a strong reminiscence to classic chicago house with its strong bassline and the catchy vocal sample. TYREE COOPER added a simple but well working piano and packed the original into an even more classic outfit.
