Vessel returns to left_blank with 3 tracks of mind bending house & techno for the labels 5th release. After inaugurating the label almost a year ago with his critically acclaimed Nylon Sunset EP, Vessel aka Sebastian Gainsborough went on to release a sold out split cassette with fellow left_blanker El Kid, and a stunning digital only set for A Future Without. As a result of this the all conquering Tri Angle Records snapped him up in early 2012 to release his debut album. This EP's title track Standard spans the length of the A-Side: 5 minutes of low-slung, smacked out death disco, coming over like John Carpenter meets Newworldaquarium, pure valium vibes. Merge on the B-Side is positively sprightly in comparison, all rattling and metallic before a drop at the halfway point brings a welcome dose of Detroit influenced machine funk. Zero closes the EP in abstraction, whirring and stumbling along while showcasing Seb's intricate sound design, a teasing glimpse at what's in store for his album later in the year. More

Hex is comprised of London based artists Charlie Noon & Tom Field. Drawing influence from and exploring the outer realms of techno, experimental, rave and grime they breathe new energy into the dance floor. Their spacious sound design fuses unfamiliar sound elements and building waves of melody with blistering percussion and kinetic soundscape.

Liberation Technologies continues the legacy of its parent label Mute in working with innovative artists, and encouraging experimental and challenging perspectives. For the label’s 10th release, US born, Berlin based Physical Therapy will see his inaugural release on the label. He takes a different tone to previous releases - with a hard hitting drum kit featuring heavily throughout the 6 tracks, aptly named ’Hit The Breaks’ explores a range of sounds within and beyond the realms of breakbeat.

T C F is the moniker of Norwegian contemporary artist and experimental computer musician Lars Holdhus. His work explores themes of code, cryptography and privacy through the use of visual, sonic, built and written concepts. Often the titles and descriptions of his work are written in cyphertext, the key to which is hidden within the piece itself. His forthcoming release on Liberation Technologies will further this cryptographic theme, consisting of digital and physical content containing the necessary keys to unlock the full meaning of the work.
