An outsider in the Detroit scene, Jared Wilson's meandering acid jams have always sounded more Cornish than American. His brand new EP for the Netherlands' 030303 Records continues on that spacey tip. Sea Friends starts warm, bassy and laidback with upbeat and frenetic melodies taking over later on, lifting the tune to another level. Seeing is Forgetting is a melancholic, beatless acid trip, drenched in a strange field recordings setting with waves, vocal snippets and bird sounds all present. Potentially referring to Detroit's legendary record label and distribution company is Submerge the Ship, the most layered and mesmerizing jam on this twelve, a track that truly sends you off to the depths of the deep sea. Closing track Yogacamp is the fastest one on the record and with various eerie melodies battling for dominance, a great once for the darker dance floors. More

For the 11th release 7777 presents the Ghost Miners Remixes. For these remixes I offered each producer samples from different songs from the 2 Ghost Miners records. Instead of doing straight forward remixes of a single song, I put forth the proposal for each artist to make their own version of a Ghost Miners song from scratch or using any samples they feel like. Contributors include 3 of my favorite producers. 2 in demand artists; FIT Siegel and Andreas Gehm (RIP) and one new comer; Brian Thrash. Andreas Gehm's version is a standard acid Gehm gem. Calling in the chords from the originals mixed with standard Gehm acid brilliance. In FIT Siegel's version you'll find the perfect pure underground dance sound. Featuring Ray-7 on hand drums FIT constructs a remix that combines elements of classic Detroit and Chicago sound while keeping the attitude and acid aesthetic of the original material. ''This Love,'' is a slower deep track with haunting 303 bassllines and a a voice chanting ''This Love.'' The title track, ''Ghettoblaster'' is an jacking stomper for the floor. ''Last Two,'' is a very nice Chicago influence acid beat track. Also included on this 12'' is ''Office Analog'', a previous release only available digitally before now.

After an arduous preparation process, TEAL009 is finally ready to be shared with the world. It consists of four tracks, evenly distributed on the surface of a gorgeous phonograph record, that can also be acquired as four digital abstractions in the format of your desire. Sonic contributions come from two TEAL newcomers A Sagittariun and Matti Turunen, as well as the return of Jared Wilson to the label with a fresh cut of his own. The opening drum break swirls into synth-line and syncopation europhoria on Gravitational Push. The droning bassline cuts a groove in the space-time continuum that's so deep, it could put some discussions in Geneva to shame. The playful arpeggios of Spice Flow mask the underlying moody pads, resulting in an unusually honest piece of dance music.
Flipping the disc reveals a two-track contribution by Matti Turunen, best known from his work as Morphology with CRC. The seventh release on Copenhagen’s Teal Recordings is a little hint of what can be expected from Beastie Respond first full length album. The A-side on the EP is a collaboration between Beastie Respond and the anonymous singer Alia Fresco. The lush and soulful vibes makes this song a worthy successor to Beastie Respond’s debut release Syncopy.
