An outsider in the Detroit scene, Jared Wilson's meandering acid jams have always sounded more Cornish than American. His brand new EP for the Netherlands' 030303 Records continues on that spacey tip. Sea Friends starts warm, bassy and laidback with upbeat and frenetic melodies taking over later on, lifting the tune to another level. Seeing is Forgetting is a melancholic, beatless acid trip, drenched in a strange field recordings setting with waves, vocal snippets and bird sounds all present. Potentially referring to Detroit's legendary record label and distribution company is Submerge the Ship, the most layered and mesmerizing jam on this twelve, a track that truly sends you off to the depths of the deep sea. Closing track Yogacamp is the fastest one on the record and with various eerie melodies battling for dominance, a great once for the darker dance floors. More

This record is dedicated to and influenced by Roland, Dinsync, Social Entropy Engine, and the Pacific Northwest. The three-tracks found on this EP are some of the first to come out of Jared’s new studio in Seattle. Refining and recommitting to a sound that reaches into the past and future with hints of acid, house, and techno while at the same time not being confined by any theme or style.

For the 11th release 7777 presents the Ghost Miners Remixes. For these remixes I offered each producer samples from different songs from the 2 Ghost Miners records. Instead of doing straight forward remixes of a single song, I put forth the proposal for each artist to make their own version of a Ghost Miners song from scratch or using any samples they feel like. Contributors include 3 of my favorite producers. 2 in demand artists; FIT Siegel and Andreas Gehm (RIP) and one new comer; Brian Thrash. Andreas Gehm's version is a standard acid Gehm gem. Calling in the chords from the originals mixed with standard Gehm acid brilliance. In FIT Siegel's version you'll find the perfect pure underground dance sound. Featuring Ray-7 on hand drums FIT constructs a remix that combines elements of classic Detroit and Chicago sound while keeping the attitude and acid aesthetic of the original material. On the B side Brian Thrash, controlling his analogue arsenal, takes you on an epic acid journey traversing through the underground and space. Thank you for your time. - Jared Wilson More

But rather than spawn direct imitation, a flare of Detroit is gently added to the equation. An expansive remix is added on the B-side by the acid powerhouse production duo TNT (Tadd Mullinix and Todd Osborn), whose releases on their eponymous imprint have been highly sought after. A brutal working of the A-sides “Drug Related Stories”, this epic has already been well received by the patrons of late night/early morning clubs in Detroit. More

I've been wanting to do a release from Cliff Lothar for some time. Finally, I got him to send me some old electro tracks that I just took a liking too. Very obvious with their influences.
