The third release on the Society Of Silence label offers 2 new tracks from the french duo, and remixes from London based IVVVO and Italian duo Die Roh (aka Sagats and Dj Octopus) rounding up a perfectly crafted analog techno and raw house EP. The opening track « 8th » with abrasive percussion, fueled by atmospheric synths, followed by «First Section » a crawling beat, tape sounds seeping in, surrounded with twisted synths.B side remixes by IVVVO submerges us in deep exploration, with throbbing minor melodic keys and whispers, the remix of Die Roh a stirring groove with analogue warmth.

In 2012 Society of Silence released their first ep on their own imprint and, by being supported by such artists as Shake Shakir, Efdemin, Signifying Monkey ep has been a great sucess, Nick Hoeppner has played their track 'B Workin' on his Fabric podcast.2013 began with 'Matin noir' on Fragil musique. Once again they are exploring the expanse of Techno music and the single is backed by a stunning remix from Ukrainian producer Vakula. And in june 2013, it's on Dj Gilb'R label Versatile that Society of Silence fourth ep Unijambist has been released, followed by To the Maggot ep in january 2014.Now it's time for the parisian duo to reveal SOS02, their new maxi, back on their own imprint. Chroma is a jacking techno track with deep dub synth's chords. The release also comes with a Tunnel track, for dark clubs and Tascam Dub, which is a low-fi tape stretched track. Society Of Silence combines the forces of two great Parisian artists and friends, Benoît Legrain or BNY, and Nicolas Villebrun ? known as Tite and for his production assistance with the electronic pop-rock group, Poni Hoax.'Signifying Monkey' plays around with it's words just as much as it's structure, while 'Beat Reading Detroit' takes us through a nostalgic journey into the collective subconscious of techno. The confluence of dark and euphoric energies conveyed here by S.O.S. capture the dangerous and thrill-seeking memories going to old-school raves and after-hours parties. Fragil Musique reaches the 20th release mark, and offers us a very special debut EP from a newcomer to watch. Vidock lands on the label with an unusual three tracker, oscillating between intense breakbeat excursions and moody Techno hybrids. "Dub Attack" is the main club weapon here. Cycling around the drum loop, pads and samples build up to heavy tension moments, then fade away to fully unleash the force of the stripped down broken kick-bass groove. The pressure is strong and never stops rising, gradually bringing the dancer to a manic arms-shaking state, while sporadic laser synth shots and percussion hints sprinkle the track, smartly shaping its three-dimensional aspect. On the B Side, dance music UFO "Metamorph" is an epic journey through what feels like unexplored fringes of sample driven emotional dance music. Movie-esque haunting voices and disturbing sirens set the vibe, inviting one to drift along this dark and coloured ride. Fellow Nantes native Simo Cell goes trippy on the remix, taking apart the most heady bits of the original and extending them into a deep and breaky piece.

Jäfar make a rapid return to the label and are back to grace the A Side of Fragil 019, while one half of the duo (Elliot Sindall) also pairs up with Constantin Nakov as Seura on the flip. Black Mamba recalls certain aspects of Jäfar's previous work on the Label: the broken drum line, the subtle vocal samples and the global hypnotic aspect of the music. Yet it is also radically different from Marzsia. Black Mamba is a subtle but direct club track, aiming to get the dancers down through its heavy groove. The kick drum and low toms are strongly suggesting leg movement, joining forces with the snares and hats which call upon some serious head nodding.On the B side, White Chapel is another broken beat club piece, but this time feels crafted for the afterhours. The groove is lighter and the heady feel is strong, closing the dancer's eyes and inviting them to drift through the music. Once again, Fragil comes up with original, well produced and highly danceable content, highlighting unsung talents for every versatile DJ out there.

Shortly after his first EP on Dnuos Ytivil, sub-division of Bristol imprint Livity Sound, Simo Cell, neo-Parisian and Nantes native, puts his second release out on Fragil Musique.On this one, the young producer asserts his Bass-tainted Electro influences.Highly skilled and very technical DJ, but above all open to bridges between genres and eras, the record feels like he conceived it for his own club usage.On the A side, two subtle twin tracks, "Reading Rashid" and "Soko Ban". Cycling melodies and hypnotic pads sketch two Bass outlines, as simple as effective, that seem perfectly fit for switching from a stripped down Techno track to and old Jungle weapon.On the flip, hit track "Meteor Racer" is surprising. A rawer and more stripped down Electro piece that lifts the veil a bit more on the young producer's talent.Those four brilliantly crafted track definitely place Simo Cell among the French newcomers to watch closely.

Fragil musique showcase for their sixteenth release, Nummer, a London-based duo that have been close to the label since they started. Emmanuel Corre and Silvère Letellier produce a broad and varied mixture of electronic music, merging club music with electronica and ambient. The pair's high versatility has been widely revealed through their releases on going good, peur bleue as well as on their own nummer music imprint. The strong attention they pay to rhythms and drum machines is obvious on all four pieces of this ep. Stripped out and dripping with groove, “Life Path III" presents warm and rhythmical tracks, backed up with a maelstrom of cosmic soundscapes and misty melodies. If the depth of their composition is only mildly shown on "The 4th dimension", it bursts to sight on “Circulation", with a winding rhythmic signature, floating on watery pads. "Earth shift" and "Cosmic love" lean more towards the dancefloor, while maintaining, in a similar way to their label mate tite, a deep and fleshly aspect that suits fragil perfectly

Nicolas villebrun, half of society of silence and acid square dance, is putting out his first solo album on fragil musique, accurately titled « snare roll lp ». Villebrun only needed a couple of recording sessions during a short period of time, to put the whole thing out from a unique set up. Although an accomplished musician, tite seems to leave his technical skills aside when crafting his music, embracing all the spontaneity one would expect from a techno producer. Listening to the lp, the title starts to make sense. When the snares are not rolling, the smooth basslines take over, strongly dragging bodies towards the dance floor. Hungry man, move into hell, a white track, and the amazing the bell glides are among those. Basslines curved as a horse's behind, subtly swifting through the air, are playing around with smartly spread out rhythms and textures. Tite comes up with nine commonly grounded tracks, but with the necessary talent and sharpness to produce a resolutely fine, homogeneous, and yet diversified techno lp. More
