"Prime Sequences" is the latest album by dj and electronic music producer GummiHz, real name Alexander Tsotsos. Alex has an ear for what he describes as elastic frequencies, thus gummi-hertz! In other words, low bass lines, airy synth phrases and shuffle rhythms, playfully arranged within loose forms. A philosophy that comes across throughout this long player. Elements fall in and out of order, time swings back and forth, all together in perfect harmony! Pushing the boundaries of what has become his signature sound, a fusion of house and techno all the way from Berlin to Detroit! This package features underground music coming straight from the heart, or the Hertz more appropriately! The story unfolds within no less than nine tracks showcasing Alex's versatility in making waves!

The opening track titled "Berlinopolis" is a sonic portrait of the city of Berlin, where Alex lives since more than a decade. A smooth soundscape produced by combining abstract melodies with field recordings of the city's ambience. "'Second Wave" follows airy jazz chords and drum parts to launch the listener into trajectory. It feels like the sort of track that would probably make it into Herbie Hancock's deep house collection! The title track "Prime sequence" is a Detroit brewed piece with some Berlin minimalism rawness in the rhythm section! Combining a mixture of drama, suspense and shaking drums to dominate the dance floor. Next up comes "Submerge", a tight and hypnotic affair carrying the right amount of subtle release. It locks in right from the start and doesn't let go! "Prime Dub" dives deeper into the frequency spectrum. Rhythm and sound stimulate the brain waves as a heavy chord phrase cycles to infinity. "Proto Sequence" follows a simple still infectious groove laced with various modulations. This track has party written all over it! Inspired by proto-house motifs pioneered by artists like Chi-town's Ron Hardy. "Metafunk" reaches out to Berlin's club culture at its core. That is, the youth and street culture! The phrase on repeat signifies the urge to reclaim the streets, while endlessly flowing within finely tuned electronics. "Mindloop" is a track written for the after hours looping state of mind. Another minimal house cut with a fair dose of psychedelic sound design. Lastly, "Descension" relaxes the mood through deep pulsating rhythms and playful arpeggios. Pushing towards a meditative state by stimulating mind, body and soul!?

"Prime Sequences" covers a wide range of styles like ambient electronics, peak time house and techno, as well as seriously effed up after hour minimalism! Made for both djs and music lovers, this is the second long player by GummiHz to come out on vinyl after his debut album "Sleepless Nights" back in 2009! While it succeeds his latest EP, "Groove is in the Hertz". What makes it even more special is that it comes out on brainchild Claap, giving the artist total freedom of expression.

Description: The silence is over! GummiHz is back on the release front! A dedicated frequency explorer, GummiHz follows a phylosophy that making music should always be adventurous, interesting and fun. For this reason, he has dedicated the last couple of years in rebuilding his studio setup and now it is time to share the fruits of this expedition.

"Groove is in the Hertz" includes a selection of recordings, showcasing the perspective of GummiHz on minimal house and techno. The series is split into parts with part one featuring two minimal cuts. "Aerini", on side A, offers eleven and a half minutes of miinimal techno bliss. Anthemic voices combined with live recordings set a balearic atmosphere, while sitting elegantly on top of finely programmed rhythmics and basslines. Flip it over and "Out Out" brings out even more rhythm to the game

"Club cuts" is the new release by GummiHz. It features two dancefloor heavy tracks spanning from acid to dub house/ techno. On side A, 'Acid patch', is a serious dancefloor weapon with a characteristic killer TB 303 bassline and airy jazz piano licks, produced back in 2010. '8am groove', on the flip, is a dub cut that, in typical GummiHz finese, rolls effortlesly between detroit house and techno. An excellent record cut for the dancefloor!

Having played various venues around the globe and with a plethora of diverse productions coming on all levels of house, techno, disco and more, Alex Tsotsos has built a strong reputation with his different projects and GummiHz is a strong proof of this. In his usually extensive dj sets he is known to effortlessly fuse together elements of different tracks in constant evolving transitions. A very versatile and saught after dj, Alex is well respected amongst the international dance community and at the top of greece's export in musical talent. It has been the past couple of years that GummiHz started carving his own path in the industry by launching Claap along with two vinyl only imprints, C-EDITS and the Raw Instinct volumes. A necessary step in his artistic evolution after working solely with Berlin's Mobilee records on many singles, his debut album "Sleepless nights" (2009) and one of the milestone mixes in their compilation series. Next release on Claap coming up and it is another GummiHz affair! After his last release on Claap "Head Rush" last summer was snatched by the guys at Defected for the Defected In the House series, Alex is back with his next record aptly titled "Rejuvenation EP". This two tracker carries a pair of absolutely necessary house grooves. Rejuvenation features an elegant arpeggio which builds up to an intense crescendo bound to hypnotize dancefloors the world over. Intense but very elegantly produced it carries Alex's signature sound and explores a similar musical territory to Secret Voyage (CLAAP004) which has received overwhelming responses since its release. The motif on the flip side remains similar but with a more mature soundscape, showcasing Alex's endless sonic diversity. Add a bonus beatzz extract to round up an essential EP for the open air season and not only.

Featuring four new cuts welcoming the summer heat. "Head Rush" is a captivating piece reminiscent of that 90s NY house sound. It is a nod to the past with a touch of now. Breezy and cool, with the sort of drums that will keep the floor pumping. The drums out mix is a more pumped out version of the original, stripped down to the drums and voices.
