Taking the low end tradition of Bristol music and marrying it to a murky, swung 4/4 aesthetic, Kowton returns to Idle Hands after the claustrophobic paranoia of his ‘Basic Music Knowledge’ / ‘Hunger’ set. She Don't Jack creeps into life with industrial textures before crisp, rigidclaps and shuffled hits skip energetically around a bassline malevolent in its simplicity. Drunk On Sunday works drum machine grooves from the off, heading down a stripped-bare corridor of pitch-black house. Fearsome bass swells enter the mix while metallic hits bolster the percussion. Fast becoming one of the leading lights in the wilder realms of UK house and techno, Kowton once again demonstrates his arcane production skills with devastating results.

Simo Cell returns to Livity Sound for the label's final release of 2016. Following up his debut 12" for the label in 2015, the Parisian brings his varied tastes to this diverse four tracker. From the hazy bumping rhythms of 'Gliding' to the pulsating strobed snare assault of 'Away From Keyboard', these razor edge productions demonstrate exactly why he's been tipped by so many as one to watch.

* Critically acclaimed UK label Livity Sound announce their first 12" of 2015. * Established by Peverelist in 2011, the label initially served as an outlet for the uk stylet racks he and contemporaries Asusu and Kowton were making. A run of low key but emphatic releases from the trio positioned the project firmly at the forefront of UK dance music, earning the label Resident Advisor's accolade 'Label of the Year 2013'. * Last year the label released a stampede of A-list reinterpretations of this initial material. Surgeon, Pangaea, Kassem Mosse, 2562, MMM, Ron Morelli and Tessela to name a few,stepped up providing their own re-versions for a series of killer 12"s culminating in a CD compilation at the end of the year. Meanwhile a hardware based live show featuring the original trio toured Japan and Europe playing major festivals and underground venues alike, bringing a new energy and dimension to their sound. * For 2015 the focus is back to releasing much anticipated new material, pushing the UK sound forward once more. The first release combines two deadly strains of mutant techno from label originators Peverelist and Kowton setting the standard for what's to come.

2013's self titled Livity Sound compilation featured solo tracks and collaborations between Peverelist, Kowton & Asusu, bringing together some of the most exciting and visceral UK dance music of recent years to critical acclaim. Since then the label has commissioned a series of reinterpretations of the original tracks from some of their favourite contemporary producers, resulting in a diverse set of cutting edge dance music.
These remixes were issued on 12" vinyl throughout the first half of 2014 and this Autumn sees the culmination of the project in a CD release contextualising all of the music within the digital format for the first time.
