Stunning debut from London based artist Forest Drive West for Livity Sound. 'System' revolves around an irresistible deep and tripping pneumatic broken drum groove, propelling the track through ten tense minutes of foggy atmospherics. Show Them is similarly immersive but this time with nods to the densely smoked out UK dancefloors of 2004, austere and hypnotic.

The two tracks showcased here are a rather fine introduction to this newcomer, with opener "Piste Jaune" offering a clandestine blend of stuttering electro bass, discordant analogue percussion hits and spooky electronics. The mystery man goes for the jugular on "Cellar Door", with pitched-down, bleep style melodies and liquid electronics riding an off-kilter, broken techno groove. Another fine Livity release.

* Critically acclaimed UK label Livity Sound announce their first 12" of 2015. * Established by Peverelist in 2011, the label initially served as an outlet for the uk stylet racks he and contemporaries Asusu and Kowton were making. A run of low key but emphatic releases from the trio positioned the project firmly at the forefront of UK dance music, earning the label Resident Advisor's accolade 'Label of the Year 2013'. * Last year the label released a stampede of A-list reinterpretations of this initial material. Surgeon, Pangaea, Kassem Mosse, 2562, MMM, Ron Morelli and Tessela to name a few,stepped up providing their own re-versions for a series of killer 12"s culminating in a CD compilation at the end of the year. Meanwhile a hardware based live show featuring the original trio toured Japan and Europe playing major festivals and underground venues alike, bringing a new energy and dimension to their sound. * For 2015 the focus is back to releasing much anticipated new material, pushing the UK sound forward once more. The first release combines two deadly strains of mutant techno from label originators Peverelist and Kowton setting the standard for what's to come.

2013's self titled Livity Sound compilation featured solo tracks and collaborations between Peverelist, Kowton & Asusu, bringing together some of the most exciting and visceral UK dance music of recent years to critical acclaim. Since then the label has commissioned a series of reinterpretations of the original tracks from some of their favourite contemporary producers, resulting in a diverse set of cutting edge dance music.
These remixes were issued on 12" vinyl throughout the first half of 2014 and this Autumn sees the culmination of the project in a CD release contextualising all of the music within the digital format for the first time.
