After his last single Asset 001 and releasing his ‘Distance’ track on Dogmatik records, Stojche returns with the second release on his own solo ‘Tangible Assets’ imprint delivering another four cuts, whereby we witness his consistency in putting out a must-have quality works. The 1st track on the A side is called ‘You & Me’. Podium techno tune where the 909 drums and the fat baseline interact perfectly with musical theme. Stojche starts off with the pad lines, building them up with various chords, synth swabs and dubby layers that strike in perfect timing. This one is real immersive moody groover. A2 -‘Mechanism’ has an electric piano aspect as key texture that jams along the track, and later the amazing string arrangement creates a lot of space for the drum sequence to bring the mood to another level. This tune could do a lot of damage on the dancefloor if dropped in a right time. B1- ‘Revolt’ kicks off with a storming groove right from the start. Uncompromising drums with the acidic synth keys that rumble in ‘4 on the floor beat’ that showcase Chicago house influences from the past. B2 -‘Podrum’ is the closing track of this single that carries a real strong emotion and deepness. Classic Detroit influenced after hour tune approached in style. The warmth stretches across the entire soundscape, where we witness Stojche’s skills to create an essential spiritual deep house number. Definitely Stojche has succeeded in delivering four different quality works to one beauty of a record!!! Asset002 will be available only in tangible (physical) format

Macedonia's own Stojche is Fuse's next guest for the club's freshly made imprint. The long standing DJ and producer has been known to keep Detroit's playfully hybrid style as the focus of his work and 'Metaphor' is the case in point. His four tracks bounce through a nostalgic balance of techno, house, and more with a modern crisp. A refreshing take on club music, Stojche keeps techno's sometimes nonchalant attitude at arms length with a charismatic record that hits its mark with every measure.
The record's first track 'Counterpunch' features heavily lined percussion but still brews up a storm far and wide with resonant dub stabs and open hi hats. The drum machine boasts a full spectrum, rolling through a light show of melodic flashes, perfect for a room compressing soundsystem. The maximalist, vintage detail that Stojche brings to his compositions blurs the lines between classic genres in a time of hasty hybridization, which gives it a sort of authenticity that can't be taken for granted. 'Chordal Tribe', on the other hand, raises the general euphoria of the EP. Luring in the listener with bright pads and full-on drums, Stochje's work is reliable main slot material that adds color to any mix while providing a persuasive low end. Shimmering hi hats give it an ethereal quality making it an appropriate interlude for almost any context. Moving on to the B side, the producer sharpens up his rhythm and emphasizes the hardgroove influence in 'Signal Drive'. Softening the pace of his drums with free use of melodic chord stabs, Stojche opens up his dance floor for a crowd bonding record once again, complete with filter transitions and pummeling toms. As the final contribution, his title track 'Metaphor' begins with a more obscure opening to conclude his EP for Fuse. Leaning more to a techno cut, the record remains flamboyant as ever with open hats and rides shuffling through his arrangement. A muted main synth becomes apparent to focus the energy of the track while allowing for liveset-like drum flickering to take shape beneath, claiming the immortality of old club records with the technical precision of a seasoned modern producer. Stojche - B1.Granada (Convextion Remix)
There isn’t many who would disagree with the underlying sentiment that electronic music makes us feel something extraordinary. Much in the same way, the possibilities for creative discourse and cosmic interactivity are accessible to anyone with an open mind. It’s in this place where these possibilities materialise, and it’s in this space where SYNCROPHONE 39 operates within.
You see, you won’t find cleverly constructed adjectives or nonsensical descriptors for the music presented here. It doesn’t need them. The music speaks for itself, much in the same way the artists do. Stojche has been carving out timeless techno for two decades now, working tirelessly without fanfare to enrich a scene that sits close to his heart. Whether that be through releases on his own imprint TANGIBLE ASSETS or the ever expanding a.r.t.less, his trademark sound signature is synonymous with the soul of Detroit. You may be hard pressed to find anyone else who’s been as consistent with this sound over the years as he has. On the other hand, Gerard Hanson aka Convextion has been doing exactly that without fault his entire career. So the combination of these two artists on this release makes perfect sense.
Syncro39 is a celebration of core values in music. Of devotion to a singular obsession crafted over the course of decades devoid of trends or cheap influences, social or otherwise. It’s that unwillingness to compromise and to put everything on the line in the pursuit of the dreaming process that makes this a special release.
One thing is for certain. Those who are inspired by Stojche’s signature original and the timeless journey of Convextion’s remix,
will carry themselves through the smoke and haze into the sunlight as it takes some time for the rush to subside. That’s probably an apt abstract for this release thus far. For the most part though, the narrative for Stojche has only just begun.

If anything, Stojche’s take on Detroit inspired techno rarely requires your permission for engagement. The fifth installment of his own label, Tangible Assets, is no different. This singular producer always manages to conjure up otherworldly atmospheres that resonate from head to feet. With that said, we could spend the next three paragraphs throwing around adjectives and splashing colorful words all over this press release regarding his sound, the aesthetic within each track in this release, and we could even volunteer a side helping of words that somehow make sense of this young producers studio ability. One thing however is for certain. TANG005’s true charm lies in its ability to capture an honesty and sincerity that’s as captivating as it is transcendent. There’s a clinical yet organic approach that Stojche adopts time and time again in formulating his Tangible Asset releases, and if anything, TANG005 should provide further evidence of his depth, maturity and innate ability to create enchantment. This record is wrapped in captivating moments born from flourishing stabs, twilight synths, rolling charges of calculated manic rhythms and subatomic motions living within a range of intricately programmed beats. Add to that a host of cinematic sweeps that develop into harmonic clouds of melancholy and you’re one step closer to the true romance etched within the grooves of this record.
Once again, Stojche has created an EP that catalyses imagination. A series of intense voyages with thoughtfully considered moments and movements that have been executed by a man well in tune with his craft.

Tangible Assets returns with its fourth release in the series by label owner Stojche. An outlet that’s given the Berlin based producer the freedom to explore and distill his trademark dubbed out Detroit fueled productions. Asset 04 follows on from three previous releases and opens its account with ‘Payback’. A dubbed out affair that’s firmly grounded in a powerful groove. Stojche sets about reinforcing his strengths in composing a surgically laden foundation with precision placement of 909 toms, panned snares and staggered kick drums that proceed into razor sharp hats, blooming into subtle delayed pads which are further lifted by emotive and colourful chords. Payback’s true charm lies in its ability to capture an honesty and sincerity that’s as captivating as it is transcendent.“Tunnel’ continues where ‘Payback’ left off and leads in with a booming cavernous kick drum, diving directly deep into a wonderland of mysticism, an effortless trademark that’s clearly evident within all of Stojche’s productions. Rich swirling pads rise and sit happily beside cleverly programmed melodic keys that tease in out of the mix, directly complementing the main elements of its structure. If anything, ‘Sinister Alley’ should be further proof of the Macedonian born producer’s maturity in exploring the outer worldly and broken beat time signatures. His approach in creating both depth and enchantment is both pragmatic and effective. Beautifully deep, undulating and atmospheric. ‘Sinister Alley’ opens with an airy signal that captivates upon overture. Combining quintessential snares, a series of rapid fire hats that are anchored by an analog baseline, he sets about creating hypnotism with layers of atmospheric suspense, while fluttering waves of electronic circuitry waver in the distance. A multitude of pads and textures combine to create an ethereal feel and harmonic cloud to float within. Tangible Assets 004 is far more than just another chapter in Stojche’s musical journey and much more than just another release on his label. It’s further evidence and development in a sound that truly captures the essence of the man behind these tracks. An ethos he’s been exploring for quite some time, catalyzing imagination and furtherance that’s beyond tangible.

Tangible Assets’ is a new independent solo platform for underground dance music that will be releasing various forms of house and techno associated with traces of deepness. The label stands for quality music that would differ from the current trends in the vibrant music industry. Releases will be available only in tangible (physical) form. The debut release ‘Asset001’ showcases four original tracks. The opening ‘Introvert’ track is a strong pounding melodic techno where the infectious pad theme is filled with various warm synths and chord jams. With adding the classic 909 drums and the fat baseline, creation here is a podium oriented deep mood banger. This side continues with the ‘Decay’ track, a nice symbiosis between the old-skool groove and mellow pad accordions, spiced up with leading texture and beautiful string arrangement that forms an outstanding floor builder that could be dropped at any time. The B-side kicks off with a track called ‘Traveler’, a deep ‘n soulful groover, with raw percussions cuts, funked-out baseline notes, bell texture, dubby chords floating thru and unique lead, all together delivering out dynamic & warm tech ride. Finally the last cut of this EP is ‘Raw Method’ is a Detroit-Influenced stripped down house tune, where the 808 drums are combined with a synth aspect that develops along the track respectively with the padlines, the strings, and electric piano chords. All together forming a melodic theme which’s elements are carrying out really strong emotion. On this release we witness Stojche’s ability and skills to execute a ‘must have record’. This is another strong release by Stojche and great intro for Tangible Assets!

Filipovich is one of a kind. The Belarus-born, Paris-based artist works in a multitude of media - found footage films, painting, silkscreening and performance to name a few. It's her musical output that has caught the attention of late, though, with Filipovich dropping a run of releases in recent years which began with 2021's Magnificat on Time Released Sound. Filipovich takes as much of a novel approach to her music-making as she does with her other artistic endeavours - Magnificat was centred around treated samples of Sergei Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil, and she's also combined classical composition with contemporary electronic techniques on her subsequent drops. For Idealized, Filipovich's debut on Sheffield's Central Processing Unit, she maintains the gothic air which characterised her previous releases and applies it to a record of widescreen contemporary techno joints. These tracks represent something of a gear shift for CPU, a label which has long made its name by delivering top-quality electro and machine-funk jams, but such is the quality of Idealized that these superbly-executed techno productions are sure to win over label fans both old and new.Idealized is very much schooled in the German tradition of minimal/dub techno. Tracks like 'Physical', 'Wave' and 'Dance Minor' all anchor themselves on single, steady drum pulses and delay-drenched single-chord loops. Filipovich generally lets the central idea of these tracks play out across several minutes while introducing increasingly disorientating elements into the rest of the mix - wiccan atmospherics, clashing chords, spiralling delays and so forth. It's an approach at once respectful of Filipovich's predecessors - Basic Channel, Deepchord, Ellen Allien and so on - but also full of idiosyncrasies and individuality. Many of the club cuts here hardwire us into the moody, murky environs of the darkest Berlin Basements. 'Ultra Red' rides forward on a crisp drum machine snap, a menacing burble of bassline and an eerie single-note synth whistle in the upper end of the mix; 'Dance Minor' shows off a bit of KiNK in the brain-bending modular loop that waxes and wanes at its centre; the second-half run from 'Wave' to closer 'Small Cave' travels ever-further out into deep space - the kick drums remain insistent, yet the textural elements are delivered with an edge and flair that evidences Filipovich's ability to think outside the box.Filipovich's unusual methods, and the influence of sound art and electroacoustic composition on her music, are drawn out further when Idealized steps away from the dancefloor. 'Hydra' comes off like a more gothic version of Pole - its central pulse draws from dub techno but never quite settles into a danceable groove, and this beat is combined with the kind of unnerving keyboard work that would make John Carpenter proud. Although closer 'Small Cave' eventually locks into another dark-room techno roller, the opening section of the track delivers a weightless soundscape of bright, tinny chords and a scene-setting field recording.Idealized, the first drop on Central Processing Unit from Paris-based Belarusian Lina Filpovich, broadens the label's horizons with a selection of finely crafted minimal/dub techno joints.

With Australia‘s dance music scene being more prolific than ever, it‘s only fitting that one of the continent‘s hottest tickets appears in the Running Back universe. Sam Alfred‘s debut on it’s subsidiary Misfit Melodies melts the old with the new, swings the hips with the hits and unites the past with the future. The man with the adorable underground white label mp3 Shine II Dawn under his belt, is not only a DJ to die for, but also a witty, interesting and most of all enchanting studio talent. Aptly titled Roadblocks, this 5-track-EP once more underlines his appeal: his-speed house and sprinkles of retro rave meet the melodies of tomorrow.
While My Heart and Back To sound like Strictly Rhythm tracks played by UK Garage DJs, Drift and Fortune are prime examples of Sam‘s production powers. last, but not least the title track is the result of a trip to Dekmantel and a nod to the proggy bounce of the 90s. Built with love and made to last.

L.B. Dub Corp - Cloack And Dagger
After a five year hiatus Luke Slater reanimates his L.B. Dub Corp alias for a dynamic, vocal-led ode to the club featuring Robert Owens, Paul St. Hilaire, Miss Kittin and more. The LP is set to release on 10th May 2024
Since his first forays into DJing, Luke Slater has been pursuing different streams of inspiration to wind up with some of the most enduring electronic music of the past 30 years. From the grandiose ambient techno of The 7th Plain to the trailblazing machine funk of Planetary Assault Systems, he’s gifted a lot of music to the world. His L.B. Dub Corp alias first emerged in 2006, and has since been a vessel for a looser approach to club music compared to the steely big room energy of P.A.S. At times it’s housier, elsewhere dubbier, but still logically attached to Slater’s overall arc as an artist and music lover.
On his new album, which marks his first appearance on Dekmantel, Slater wanted to celebrate the unique cultural intake which set him on his path. It starts with his earliest memories marvelling at the beats in his father’s big band and jazz funk records until he was old enough to be drumming himself. The drums have remained a source of fascination despite his years entangled in machine music, and for the first time Slater uses his own live drumming on Saturn to Home.
The subtle imperfections of human rhythm are a big draw - Slater has always shied away from anything too ‘perfect’. From the rough and ready advent of drum machines and synths in early 80s pop, disco and electro to the breakthrough years of house music, Slater started to get a handle on how the sounds were made by identifying with the DIY, anything-goes spirit of the era. These are the touchstones which were on his mind as he started to work on Saturn to Home, not seeking to create carbon copies or overtly retro tracks, but rather to keep the verve and open-ended attitude of that music on his mind as made the album throughout 2022.
Beyond the drums, the vocals are the other vital ingredient which Slater knew he needed for this record. His own voice appears sporadically, but he also very intentionally reached out to artists such as legendary deep house original Robert Owens and dub techno crooner Paul St. Hilaire. Iconic French electro provocateur Miss Kittin also makes an appearance. Alex is the solo alias for Alexandra Grübler of Baal & Mortimer, who lends her freewheeling approach to ‘Golden Star’ in a style Slater compares to Liz Fraser in Cocteau Twins.
Behind ‘Only The Good Times’ lies the story of fabled Eindhoven street character Arnol Kox, who passed away in 2020, whose philosophical proclamations had become local legend. Slater managed to record Kox shouting the Dutch equivalent of the track title, which had become his sole mantra after years preaching to folk in the city centre, creating a heartfelt tribute to someone who embodied the misfit individuality Slater feels most at home around, not least in the club.
It’s this lattice of sounds, stories and feelings which give Saturn to Home its electric, diaristic energy. Whether it’s the feverish passion of ‘Your Love’s infectious chord stabs or the smoky soundsystem tendrils of ‘Golden Star’, the elastic drums and mutant synth funk of ‘Krank’ or the star-scraping breakbeat techno of ‘Only The Good Times’, Slater tells the story of his life in music, which means his life overall, without ever being stuck in the past. The Remedy is a classic, soulful house bounce with glossy, sultry jazz infusions - peak Summertime vibes. I also pay tribute to my afro-electronic, percussive roots with Ritual which is the complete opposite of The Remedy. Ritual is mighty on the low end, it's seductive with hypnotic horns, an earth-shaking bass line and a rhythmic groove throughout. This track is an absolute weapon for the club :)

2
Endrik Schroeder - The Dogs
In 2021, we welcomed Endrik Schroeder to the Bordello family with his Second Breath 12”. The memorable hooks and attention to detail that characterised his first appearance run deep in his latest. The Hope sees the French producer accompanied by a true legend of electronics, Caroline Hervé aka Kittin. Hervé’s penchant for combining brighter tones with darker shades is evident from the needle. Industrial hiss pierces swirling vocals. Clean claps, warm bass and crystalline chords give way to woe-streaked lyrics, lyrics that ascend into an arc of pulsating synthwave pain. Schroeder takes the reins on the flip. A beam of light is cast over throbbing arpeggios and a slicing snare, notes drifting ever higher as “The Dogs” takes hold. Strings swim as a spread of sounds grow, a palpable energy building under Schroeder’s watchful ear and hand in this seven minute plus odyssey into his machines.
