PREMIESKU, a project from Romanian duo Livio & Roby in collaboration with their pal George G, pays tribute to analogue sources and vintage devices - for them it's all about touching knobs and faders, modulating oscillators, building their own consoles, interacting with their gear and taking time to experiment. Not for nostalgia, but for the love of organic grooves, spiritedness of sounds and a serious portion of soul in their music.
After the debut 12" on Desolat in 2009, two remarkable tracks on Desolat X-Samplers, well-received releases on All Inn and Cecille, Premiesku returns to with "Constant" EP, the forerunner to their debut album to be released later on this year on Desolat, going in line with their new born live-show based strictly on analogue gear.
The four-tracker starts with "Constant", a repetitive, whipping primetime weapon that skilfully bridges the gap between Detroit Techno and jackin' House, followed by "Personificarea Lui Talker", which is predestined to cause magic moments on open-airs and after hours. The flipside continues with the playful and phazing "O Lozinca", while "Odd Stuff" finishes the EP with some early 90ies Moog bass flavour.
Definitely a hypnotic brew for all closed-eyes dancers.

Loco Dice's Desolat kicks off 2016 with a brilliant new EP from Romanian trio Premiesku aka long term friends Livio, Roby and George G. They have close associations with the label and have done for years, and after their great debut album Indirect in 2012, are now a very real force in the dance world.
The trio is also famed for its live show, which is performed using specially made consoles and has seen them headline all over Europe from Timewarp to Watergate to Rex in Paris. With releases on labels like 2020Vision and Vakant, this really is a fantastic outfit that once again comes up trumps here.
Opener "Altitude" is seven minutes or irresistible electronic funk. Jostling drums and odd synth sounds dance next to each other and you will too. Machines get loose and spit out soulful sounds and odd hooks and the whole thing keeps you locked for the duration. "Bucur" is a more peak time techno cut with forceful kicks driving it along, occult little alien sounds and snatched vocal parts that are fluid and free flowing and will really get under the skin of any dancefloor in expert fashion.
"Neo" then finds the Romanians going for a more minimal aesthetic with slick rubbery drums making a punchy pattern down below as heavenly female vocals up top add a key human element. Some spiritual melodies also explode above the groove and ensure that minds will be well and truly blown when this one is dropped. Lastly, the excellent "Permut" is a dubby roller with a fat and heavy bottom end that is impossible to ignore. It has some classic techno synths lighting it up and is the sort of hypnotic affair that will really stand out in the coming months.
With this essential new EP Premiesku continue to go from strength to strength.

Sitting down and writing about our latest EP was a fun but challenging exercise, we scratched our heads and this may sound bad but we couldn't think of deep, dark interesting stories on how we made these tracks or what they represent. These jams are simply a combination of previous and random happy accidents that have come together and saying anything else would be a lie. This however does not mean that the thinking behind them is completely random, the three cuts that we selected for this EP we feel are a journey of experimentation and a culmination of unexpected sounds and feelings. A word that we found best described the EP was 'Irony'. The most ironic thing we feel is that the main basis of these tracks were born on the stage during our live performances and they have now been reworked and moulded into a record. We however feel that this brings an interesting element to the EP that yes it is recorded and set, but you are not quite sure where the next sound or feeling will come from. A hi hat? A kick? It is pure 'organised randomness'... I suppose we should talk about some of the music and try and explain what we mean! We start with 'Pe dos', which in plain English means inside out and it was a track that we had started back in 2011. We were flicking through our 'curiosity closets' one day and found it, we played around with it and heard a kick drum that was not arranged correctly in the sequence due to a random manipulation of the sequencer. Our first thought was to just change it, but then we decided to wait..... when all the other sounds of the tracks came together we threw the kick back in and BAM, Even the acapella voice of the track was screaming. Therefore it was a simple for us to name this track as we worked on it in a completely back to front and "Inside Out" way! The other two tracks on the EP were born in a similar way, reborn again out of the dark corners of our packed 'curiosity closet'. The track 'Noococ' is perhaps the track with the most irony on the EP. Having been made originally after an amazing gig at Amnesia in Ibiza in 2012, we were in a recording frame of mind which gave the song its basis but we would still play it within our live shows. 'Noococ' has been therefore from recorded track, to live and now back to recorded in a quite weird but groovy journey. The final track, 'Trandafirit' has no such meaning. It is again a raw track stemming our live show some time ago that inspired us to recreate and retouch. Again through experiments and lots of head banging on walls, we recreated and accomplished a track that stayed true to the original writing of it but also embodied change which in a way is symbolic of the development of our project over the years. Now, we did warn you at the beginning of this wordy mess that it has been 'organised randomness' that has brought us to create these tracks and this EP, but one thing we are sure about is that we knew we would love to and be very honoured is to be able to put out this collection of cuts via Vakant. A label that has been close to our hearts and heads for a long time. We hope you enjoy the EP and that the music can help translate some of the shit above.

Livio & Roby have been central to the acclaimed group of producers that have emerged from the Eastern European hotbed of electronic music that is Romania. Alongside their school-friend George G, the trio have a new project: Premiesku. The collaboration is a new experience, which is already gaining accolades from many party heads, and acclaimed music professionals. Their first long-player brings together this collective musical experience, and presents a collection of driving and energetic solid grooves, fused with a plethora of colors and sonic twists. In today's electronic music climate, which is characterised by an emphasis on overly-complex and technologically-advanced productions, Premiesku have a preference for the warmth offered by the analogue age: their sound is one of subtle synths, dulcet tones and beautiful yet twisted melodies effortlessly layered over intricate drums, all made with no more than loving care, and their specifically customised analogue hardware. The results are percussive, hypnotic and totally-engrossing. With each production on 'Indirect' stretching to over seven minutes in length, the tracks are given room to breath, which allows the listener completely immerse themselves in Premiesku's absorbing sonic soundscape. Beginning with the tinted euphoria of 'Ceva Care Se Multipli', the album meanders through a host of sounds and influences. From the bouncing, twisted melodies of 'Technico Stiintific', to gorgeous atmospheric builders such as 'Mecanism LRG300' and 'Discurs pe fundal', the latter complete with a public announcement vocal - the trio demonstrate both their considerable production nous as qualified audio engineers, as well as their ability to write wonderfully varied music. In contrast to 'Tehnico-Stiintific' and 'Geneza', which showcase Premiesku's more experimental nature with their warped techno grooves, there are also some particularly delicate moments such as the serene 'In Mod Indirect'. The album ends in particularly strong fashion with 'Vag', complete with incessant kick-drum, swirling distorted sounds and cascading piano keys. Overall then Premiesku have crafted a fascinating experimental electronic album with a Eastern-European twist. Although 'Indirect' is evidently inspired by classic deep house and Detroit techno, it is entirely unique and distinctive and one which is certain to keep drawing the listener back again and again. Loco Dice has unveiled his darkly eclectic album 'Love Letters', a 15-track embodiment of his diverse production range. Featuring the latest single 'We're Alive', the most highly anticipated record of his recent sets.
Dice's third studio album after '7 Dunham Place' and 'Underground Sound Suicide' sees him reflecting on his musical influences and connections to Dusseldorf and beyond. The album is packed with the producer's typically forceful tones, which blur the lines between house and techno. Utillising the bristling sounds and smooth drum beats, Dice's "Love Letters" album serves as an aural embodiment of the tones which make his sound so unique.
Throughout 'Love Letters', Dice uses his own vocals more frequently than on previous albums, which makes the production both trippier and more personal, representing past and present.
Addressing his listeners via special sleeve inside the 3x12" vinyl album edition, Dice writes:
"It's been a while since I've released anything in the form of an album. This time everything happened differently than my previous albums where I had the story or the concept first and where the music was my soundtrack to that story. This time the music came first - making and collecting music, having a good time in the studio without any pressure. It was not clear at all what to do with all this. To release it or not, if I have club 12" singles, or if I should just keep everything… but it felt good.

With a trio of collaborations on the album, Dice drafts in Serious Klein on "Selflove", Willam Djoko on "Out Of Reach" and Eddie Fowlkes on "D Town Playaz". As someone who is deeply influenced by genres like soul & funk, Dice invited German-based artist Serious Klein - who's work he has been following for the past while, to his Daddyscrib studio and a perfect blend was formed that was not only basted on their mutual African roots. When "Out Of Reach" began to take shape, it was clear for Dice that only the Amsterdam's finest - William Djoko, could provide the final shape he envisaged on the release. The third feature on the LP comes from Detroit godfather Eddie Fowlkes on the appropriately named "D Town Playaz", which features both of the artists' vocals and serves as a teaser for the things to come.
Continuing to headline the biggest clubs and festivals around the world, Loco Dice has directed his endless passion and musical sensibilities to bare upon his Desolat label, with a stream of records released from some of the most exciting artists around and supported by DJs across the globe.

Loco Dice has unveiled his darkly eclectic album 'Love Letters', a 15-track embodiment of his diverse production range. Featuring the latest single 'We're Alive', the most highly anticipated record of his recent sets.
Dice's third studio album after '7 Dunham Place' and 'Underground Sound Suicide' sees him reflecting on his musical influences and connections to Dusseldorf and beyond. The album is packed with the producer's typically forceful tones, which blur the lines between house and techno. Utillising the bristling sounds and smooth drum beats, Dice's "Love Letters" album serves as an aural embodiment of the tones which make his sound so unique.
Throughout 'Love Letters', Dice uses his own vocals more frequently than on previous albums, which makes the production both trippier and more personal, representing past and present.
Addressing his listeners via special sleeve inside the 3x12" vinyl album edition, Dice writes:
"It's been a while since I've released anything in the form of an album. This time everything happened differently than my previous albums where I had the story or the concept first and where the music was my soundtrack to that story. This time the music came first - making and collecting music, having a good time in the studio without any pressure. It was not clear at all what to do with all this. To release it or not, if I have club 12" singles, or if I should just keep everything… but it felt good.

On the flip side "Hypnotised" works on getting into your brain with tight, scurrying drum and percussive patterns that never let up. It's a dense, busy arrangement that makes for a high octane ride. Last of all "Inception" takes on more of a house feel, with well swung, low slung drums bringing the groove as hammering hits and frosty synth lines keep busy up top.
This is house and techno that makes a big impact from one of the most on point producers out there right now.

The audience is invited to listen to 11 original tracks, each of them co-produced with an anonymous collaborator from their “circle” of friends. And there certainly are some impressive names involved: tINI,EnzoSiragusa,MartinButtrich,Guti,JulianPerez,Hector,RyanCrosson,CesarMerveille,Andrea Oliva & Premiesku. The classic Livio & Roby nuances will prevail, of course, but there will be no clear evidence about the “phantom” collaborator behind each track, apart from the music itself. By keeping the mystery on the identity of each co-producer, the duo is challenging their listeners to bypass the involuntary pre-conception and focus on the essential: listen and feel.
Livio & Roby’s emotive and mind-moving grooves have put them not only at the top of their homeland’s list of nest producers but also at the forefront of the global electronic scene. The experience developed by the collaborators in this album only echoes the magnitude of Livio & Roby’s talent, which boils down to their stamp of ambition and courage, consolidated in this project. Above all, this album accentuates their clear intention to enjoy music for itself and nothing else.

Moby needs little introduction: the American dance producer and live performer's albums are classics of the genre that are celebrated far and wide. They have been used on thousands of adverts, have given rise to hit singles all over the world and have made him one of the most celebrated electronic music stars of our time. His 'Go' track was what started it all for him back in the 90's, and was a bona fide club classic of the day. It still resonates today and always gets crowds going. Now it has been remixed twice by Loco Dice, who has added his own stamp to it in distinctive fashion.
His first excellent version is eight minutes of chunky and tribal drums, with rubber kicks, clipped horn stabs and big hits all building the pressure. Those most famous vocal cries really finish it off in style, and ensure that dance floors will go wild whenever it is dropped, as do wonky synths and big piano chords at the breakdown.
The second version is more emotive, with big sweeping strings smeared in the background to help make it all the more dramatic, teary eyed and impactful on the floor. This one is for the peak time in any set and is sure to make the most memorable moment of any night.
Both remixes here pack a real punch, and whilst remaining true to the original, they both sound just like you would expect from modern dance heavyweight Loco Dice.

'Underground Sound Sucide' is the most recent album from Loco Dice, it followed up 2008's landmark '7 Dunham Place' and proved once again that the Du?ssledorf based artist is in a class of one.

Underpinning it all the album retained Loco Dice's chunky, bass driven feel and has made its way into many top DJ sets ever since release on October 30th last year.
Now Desolat boss Loco Dice is releasing an exclusive boxset of the album on vinyl, including a host of new remixes and limited edition items.
The reason this project is happening is because Desolat is a label that still prizes the physical format and inherent value of vinyl. As such, the whole thing, entitled the Underground Sound Suicide Box, is to be pressed to vinyl for a full physical release that will allow the exquisite sound design and rich detail to really shine.
The fine original cuts are being pressed across four 12" records, and on top of that, four separate remix EPs will also be included featuring classy reworks of the material by established names from the worlds of house and techno including Nightmares On Wax, Henrik Schwarz, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Kerri Chandler, Martin Buttrich, Robert Hood and Timo Maas among others.

'Underground Sound Sucide' is the most recent album from Loco Dice, it followed up 2008's landmark '7 Dunham Place' and proved once again that the Du?ssledorf based artist is in a class of one.
The Ultra Music released LP featured collaborations with artists like Just Blaze, Neneh Cherry, Miss Kittin, Chris Liebing and Giggs amongst others and showcased Dice's versatility with influences from techno to hip hop and beyond. Underpinning it all the album retained Loco Dice's chunky, bass driven feel and has made its way into many top DJ sets ever since release on October 30th last year.
Now Desolat boss Loco Dice is releasing an exclusive boxset of the album on vinyl, including a host of new remixes and limited edition items.
The reason this project is happening is because Desolat is a label that still prizes the physical format and inherent value of vinyl. As such, the whole thing, entitled the Underground Sound Suicide Box, is to be pressed to vinyl for a full physical release that will allow the exquisite sound design and rich detail to really shine.
The fine original cuts are being pressed across four 12" records, and on top of that, four separate remix EPs will also be included featuring classy reworks of the material by established names from the worlds of house and techno including Nightmares On Wax, Henrik Schwarz, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Kerri Chandler, Martin Buttrich, Robert Hood and Timo Maas among others.
On top of this, there is a custom made diamond shape metal USB stick containing all the material and bonus tracks along with four music videos to 'Get comfy', 'Keep it Low', 'Party Angels' and 'Sending This One Out'. The set also ships with a custom designed slipmat. All in all this exclusive material is packed in a handmade box and is available only as the DESOLAT USS BOX.
This collection is a must own piece for wax lovers and fans of Loco Dice, but also for fans of contemporary, club owning house and techno.

Some spiritual melodies also explode above the groove and ensure that minds will be well and truly blown when this one is dropped. Lastly, the excellent "Permut" is a dubby roller with a fat and heavy bottom end that is impossible to ignore. It has some classic techno synths lighting it up and is the sort of hypnotic affair that will really stand out in the coming months.

Vidal and Pablo Bolivar have cemented the Pulshar name and reputation as proponents of dub-heavy, soulful and at times psychedelic electronic music. Their first Desolat long player 'Inside' received critical acclaim and effortlessly bridged the gap between the dance-floor and the home listening environment. They returned to Desolat in 2013 with a deliciously deep and trippy EP in 'Different Drum', and now continue their relationship with the label with 'Blood and Mathematics'. Pulshar continue their affair with Electro, Instrumental Hip-Hop, Dub and Psychedelia. They have distilled this to create a distinctive and soulful brand of electronic music and the new Long Player represents where the artists are in 2014.
