Full Flavor Music returns to close out 2011 with the mighty Compilawax Sampler. Featured on this various artists compilation are four of the best digital selling tunes the label has previously released. Two of the four songs(Pezzner and J.Phlip mixes) remained on Beatports top 50 list for 4-5 weeks solid in 2010. "Deep Inside" written by label boss Greg Campbell gets a mind melting remix by Berlin based J.Phlip, who has previously released several top selling releases on the Dirtybird label. J.Phlip gives her signature minimal sounding bass heavy remix where the drums and breakdown literally jump out of the song in a 3D manner. Utterly wrecking the boundaries of dance music! Up and coming American producer Matthew Brian, features "Moods", while the in-demand Pezzner gives his own take on the track, expectedly out of left field with chords and pads bent and pulled into new shapes as a bizarro vocal sample flies around on top. His genius is making this stew still work on the dancefloor, which Pezzner's mix most certainly does. Dave Barker is known for influential material on Classic Music Company,Aesoteric,and Imperial Dub Recordings as well as his critically lauded collaboration with Brett Johnson on the Seasons album Selected Moments From The Nu House. "Into The Wilderness", the cut on this sampler could very well be a theme song to a sinister spaghetti western, with a haunting lead line telling the story with animal samples howling in the background. Another up and coming producer Armbar gets "Cant Stop" remixed by Los Angeles' Joshua Heath. "Can't Stop (Music Please)" has an irresistibly bouncy bass line, some funky key work, and clever use of the original's vocal drops. The midpoint breakdown should be a DJ set highlight. Utterly smashing.
