DER DRITTE RAUM is a super project at constant altitude flight.
Releasing music on labels such as Harthouse and Cocoon since the early ninetees DER DRITTE RAUM has established a name for high quality electronic music and a live show you will never forget. With their Überhit “Swing Bop” 3 years ago DER DRITTE RAUM has kicked off a still going “roaring 20s”-Hype in the electronic music scene in Berlin and anywhere else. Now here we go with the remixes of this epic piece. The question was: Who could remix this unique track withut making it just a worse copy of the original? The answer: T.RAUMSCHMIERE might turn this track into a dirty wrecking rave monster and as a complementary addition, ACID PAULi might be a good choice to take the track in a totally different direction. Well, T.raumschmiere did what we expected, just in an even better way than we hoped, and Acid Pauli did as well. He gave Swing Bop an outfit that makes it sound even more dreamy and out of time and space. Enjoy! More

2016. Twentyfive years after Der Dritte Raum's first release on Sven Väth's Harthouse and Eye Q label, Andreas Krüger aka Der Dritte Raum locked in his studio again to create Electric Friends, an album ostensibly meant to make up for his previous album Aydszieyalaidnem and it marks a shift to a more pop direction. Though Krüger is lumped in with all other electronic music producers, on Electric Friends, his approach is to create a meeting place for techno rhythms and sonic experimentation from the perspective of the dancefloor, and a song-friendly one at that. Befitting the club setting, the tracks are long (twelve on CD and seven on double vinyl ), but they're crammed with interesting stuff. This album is not a clinical exercise in the textural possibilities inherent in static; Der Dritte Raum is tracking pop hooks and disco beats, and he even throws a couple of trance influenced tunes into the mix of the album.
The first - and title track on this excellent album is called 'Electric Friends', a brilliant tune that highlights a smart way for listeners to approach the record. It showcases an extremely catchy lead synthesizer melody, underpinned by a sharp electronic backing. The track is suitably catchy without ever approaching raucousness. "Electric Friends' reflects the wide range of Krüger's musical interests, and there are some homages. "Command Line" has the odd distinction of being an Front 242 influenced track (in terms of beats and synths). 'Wasserstoff' is laid-back, starting with house-chord sounds, before getting all running noisy.Uptempo, danceable instrumental techno dominates the album, but the detours are frequent enough to make "Electric Friends" works as a varied, complete document with feel-good body music.
So why is it called 'Electric Friends'? Well. Krüger apparently named it so because he thought that all friends who are involved in the D3R production like live co/pilot Ralf Uhrlandt, Booker, Management and Graphic designer as well as the analogue studio environment of course work electric.

When it comes to electronic music and techno music there are few cities that have conserved and upheld the foundational roots laid down by its pioneers more so than Berlin. One of the center-most characters in this movement is the inimitable Der Dritte Raum. Aydszieyalaidnem is the latest offering from Krueger"s Der Dritte Raum project. Following up the 2013 release Morgenland, this new album with the unspellable but warmth name is stepping away from the melodic/harmonic forms of previous works, presenting a more club orientated proposition. Bathed and soaked in a warm berlin studio setup, Aydszieyalaidnem draws on Krueger's formative influences of electronic club music, relying on hardware programming and sequencing with a lot of rattling and sharp percussion cutting through simple melody lines and low-slung grooves. From house to techno, from human- and machine-created rhythms, to sweet voices and warped vocals, to blissful melodies and mindNew

A1 Aydszieyalaidnem , A2 Drehschieber , B1 Separat , B2 Ratz Fatz , C1 Chromdioxyd , C2 Stimmt , D1 En Garde , D2 Pustekuchen

The Der Dritte Raum label presents the second 12" EP from it's latest album release MORGENLAND.
Andreas Krüger once again steps up to deliver the goods. And with his cutting-edge collection of little dirty machines, he certainly proves to have his finger on the pulse of contemporary dance music. This is a solid and compelling follow up 12" from his album Morgenland which is representing a sound which is not only sweeping the charts, but someweher inbetween techno and house. Krüger aka Der Dritte Raum has made a great impact on the international techno scene. A powerful musical vision and a do-it-yourself mentality have made him one of the most in-demand producers on the international scene within the last decade. In addition to his numerous studio endeavors, Der Dritte Raum has been rocking dancefloors from behind the decks for over two decades. Mokka EP provides this again with 4 vinyl and two bonus tracks.

A – Hale Bopp – RICARDO VILLALOBOS REMIX B1 – Hale Bopp – CAVAAN REMIX B2 – Hale Bopp – DER DRITTE RAUM ISON ADAPTION REMIX
After releasing ‚Morgenland’ album Der Dritte Raum Record's stable drops their eight EP, bringing up Hale Bopp, which some of you may know from trance shenanigans back in the roaring 90’s. What makes it even more better then the original classic track are the re-interpretations. Ricardo Villalobos & Cavaan flashes their acclaimed producer talents and their works are both very original and quite different from each other. Since his epics like 'Easy Lee' and 'Dexter,' Villalobos has kept stretching out his music, and his Hale Bopp version is full of rhythms and more changing than ever -- meandering in ever-widening circles. Same is Cavaan’s remix. It’s drifting on their own with spiraling barbed rhythms that emerge from couplings of analogue machines. The Ison Adaption on B2 is remodeled by Krüger himself and on all remixes the main-melody is kept, although no samples are used, making it rather different from the original.

This is the thirteenth full-length release by producer DER DRITTE RAUM (Andreas Krüger). His discography is as stunning as the list of his live appearances. There's not a soul with the slightest interest in electronic music who has never danced to a track by this extraordinary talented producer. He's one of the few that has truly created his own signature sound. Krüger's trademark is his excessive use of hardware intruments in the studio as well as during his live-performances. For his new output he recorded live drum sessions, and clarinet player and a bunch of vintage instruments are used - like black holes, they suck in and spit out the most varied influences. MORGENLAND is DER DRITTE RAUM's latest album-CD and could be considered an immaculate conception album. What is so memorable about this thirteen new tracks is the way it strikes the perfect balance between studio-experimentation and groovy techno without ever breaking stride or losing focus. The selection conveys a palpable deepness, occasionally harboring a touch of melancholy, yet never becoming overwhelming, for at its peaks. There's nothing brash or over-blown here, all the real action is nestled between the beats - while the grooves he concocts are all so earthy and raw that the kick drum functions as an alternative rather than a necessity.

Tracklist 12" VINYL: A1 - MORGENLAND
A2 - TANZ DER SCHLARAFFEN B1 - DOPPELDECKER B2 - HIMMEL
Der Dritte Raum dispenses with the pleasantries and hammers the sound system with his 12" named DOPPELDECKER EP from the upcoming album MORGENLAND. What comes out is an artful and smartly grooving four-to-the-floor bass drum affine in a state-of-the-art "Der Dritte Raum style".

Originally released in 1996 on Harthouse with a Villalobos remix "Trommelmaschine Reconstructed" 2012 hit's daylight and turns its attention to the importance of electronic music classics. Together with Index ID, Andreas Krüger forms the producer duo DER DRITTE RAUM - one of the first acts signed to Sven Väth's label and being responsible for international charted tracks like HALE BOPP, TROMMELMASCHINE, WELLENBAD amongst others. The current backcatalogue release is a re-orientation within the current and classic techno map and is thus setting new standards. On the A side, we see TOBY DREHER who created a great and perfect DJ tool that has enormous power on the dancefloor. Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda are established artists and are now preparing to convince the rest of the community with their remix of 'Trommelmaschine'.B2 is reconstructed by co/pilot INDEX ID. His Playlove Mix is deep and beautiful as the majority of his work and has been produced with awesome effect.
All in all we see 3 brand-new versions of TROMMELMASCHINE on a 12" plus exclusive bonus remixes by Alexander Kowalski & Fenin.

Ladies and Gentleman: Der Dritte Raum is back - and this time, it's not only with new sounds in well-known Krüger style, but also with a new label platform: Der Dritte Raum Records! Fresh and dreamy, that's the sound of the first release, with four tracks full of groove, warmth and the distinctive Der Dritte Raum-funk on board. On all tracks of this release Andreas Krüger proves he has a firm hold on his analogue machinery - as always - but also shows his connection to contemporary machine music as well as Krautrock and psychedelic sounds. Inspired by his band project Von Trips, numerous analogue recordings entered the new material. We're ready to take on summer with this first release on our new label: warm layers and playful details skillfully surround the swinging grooves - you can almost feel the soft breeze of a beautiful summer night touch your skin. Just wonderful...

Der Dritte Raum is back! It's hard to believe but it's been 16 years since Andreas Krüger released his first album on Harthouse, followed by five more albums and countless 12-inches on various labels. This coming album, his seventh, will be released on his own imprint Save to Disc, which has recently been the subject of a friendly takeover by Andreas.
With Rosa Rausch, Andreas has released another one of his typical musical kaleidoscopes. His distinctive grooves last from the first to the very last bar of the record - sometimes brisk, sometimes subtle; he knows how to fascinate his audience. His deep love for hypnotic arrangements and entrancing synth-lines - derived from the classic machines of the last century - exudes from every moment of this album. Still the tracks don't fit the usual labels. The impact of two decades of House and Techno merge with solid Ambient sounds, Electro and Swing into a genre-busting amalgam full of musical surprises. You can hear that this bedrock of Techno history is beyond proving himself to anyone, every musical facet is an exactly placed but casual shot from the hip. Andreas exquisitely manages to transfer day-to-day inspiration into distinct musical positions.
Wonderful moments come out of this vintage machinery: pounding and hissing like a steam train, title track Rosa Rausch gains momentum on this trip into the countryside. Beats jingle cheerfully like ice cubes in a highball glass. Summery synthies convey a feeling of sand between your toes. Two other tracks, Lieblingsloop and Blautaut, also have this spirit of the summer; with a feeling of effortlessness and of the sun shining on your face, the music takes your hand and draws you to the dance floor.
That's where Swing Bop is already waiting for you. Last year's uber-hit, still putting a smile on all our faces. But, as we all know, Der Dritte Raum has other sides to him, too. Gerät außer Kontrolle lets lose a crazy percussion session, a worthy reference to old school Techno.
Soft and warm, the album comes to an end; the descent begins with a Kleine Freiluftschleife, on Weitwelt, we take one last round through the orbit in our little space ship and dreamily look at Andreas Krüger's sound universe. At the Landungsbrücken, the pilot finally drops us off. We stay on the bank for a little while, relive those manifold images of our journey and enjoy the evening sun on our faces. Life's good.

Der Dritte Raum, - Gegentakt
Believe it or not - summer has finally come.
So what could be nicer than some audio delicatessen, produced to become the perfect companions for this season? Sun shining in your face, groove rolling through your hips: that must have been Andreas Krüger‘s vision of the upcoming months. So how come the calender and the leaves on the street are presenting us with a completly different truth? It seems like Der Dritte Raum wants to shed some light onto these endless weeks of cold and darkness - and really, sunny thoughts and warm feelings find their way into our hearts and minds. Pounding and hissing like a steam engine, “Rosa Rausch“ gains momentum and soon we realize where this train is going. Out of the city and into the country, wherever the wind may take us. Being in the here and now: in the green tunnel of a boulevard, on a field, by the sea. Krüger‘s beats jingle cheerfully, like icecubes in a longdrink. His synthies buzz away happily. A track like a day on the beach. And instead of making us depressed in these March days, it really feels like a quick escape into summer. On “Gegentakt“, we are taking the Autobahn right back into the midst of autumn. At dusk, sounds befall us,
reminding us that the darkness also has its charme. We are ready for the weekend and the irresistible call of the night: let‘s go out! More

Let's have a big round of applause for … triplet fever!
The Third Room is back - not without a reason, of course: on the brink of the tenth anniversary of his uber-smasher HALE BOPP, Andreas Krüger steps up to send his classic's timeless hookline on a wild journey into the past. SWING BOP is the name of the splendid result, bringing back memories only our grandparents could actually have. Berlin in the 1920s: a brief eruption of hedonism, manifesting in galloping creativity, a pulsating nightlife and cocaine being sold on almost every street corner, before the Great Depression and rising fascism put a sudden end to this burlesque bustle.
The groove and glamour of past days have fascinated Krüger long before the birth of The Third Room. For lack of an orchestra, he trades his motorcycle for a Sequential Prophet 2002 Sampler in the mid-eighties, using this device to sample sounds from swing shellacs he inherited and taking first steps in that direction long before it became popular.
At the beginning of the nineties, Krüger starts his project The Third Room, instantly achieving worldwide prestige within the world of techno. His dedication for the swing-typical triplet feeling steps aside for a while and only finds its way back into his musical world at the end of 2007. Inspired by a wild night full of YouTube videos of modern swing orchestras, he jauntily covers himself and resurrects his world hit HALE BOPP in a truly extravagant new outfit. Starting with a couple of test runs during his famous live acts, soon a few DJs get the chance to try out SWING BOP's explosive qualities on ecstatic dancefloors. Countless requests and ecstatic feedback support Krüger's decision to release this charming revenant. After engaging Berlin-based Andreas Ernst to bring in clarinet and saxophone and performing a friendly take-over of the hamburg-based electro imprint SAVE TO DISC it is now about to happen: The triplet fever is going to infect the dancefloors worldwide.

B2. Kerri Chandler, Jerome Sydenham - You're In My System feat. Troy Denari (Dennis Quin Atmospheric Dubmix) (6:24)
Ibadan announces the release of a new remix by Dennis Quin of Kerri Chandler & Jerome Sydenham ft. Troy Denari - You're In My System on vinyl in December, 2019.
Quin, a self-professed house addict and die-hard Kerri Chandler fan since the early nineties, had been searching for a new vocalist to work with. He turned to Simon Birkumshaw, label manager and A&R of Chandler's Madhouse Records, who recommended Troy Denari, the original vocalist of the classic Ibadan track "You're In My System". When Denari revealed that had just resung the vocals, Quin was inspired to remix the track.
Quin's aim with this remix was to update the track for his sets and give it contemporary production values in line with his current digital sets. "It's always tricky to put your hands on a huge record like this," he says. "It's a legendary track that everyone knows, so I was extremely careful in terms of mixing, timing, and all the rest." The result is a modern version of the classic that is very true to the original. At the same time, Quin makes his mark by bringing his own drum and percussion into the mix.
The remix versions cover all the bases for various digital distribution formats, including atmospheric dub, club and instrumental mixes, plus a special three-minute edit for Spotify.
Working together for the first time, the members of the musical team were excited to exchange their ideas. "Troy, Kerri, Jerome and I have gained so much out this intense collaboration. It has developed into a deep friendship that is all about house music, good vibes and pride in our achievements. Each of us is fulfilled by our individual roles in this project. I'm really proud to be part of this family."
Christine Pedersen, managing director of Ibadan Records, is excited about Quin's first release on the label. "It's always a pleasure to welcome new and talented collaborators into the fold. And I love the new vocal. Troy's singing brings a fresh spin to the track."

Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Dennis Quin and original vocalist Troy Denari breathe new life into Ibadan's classic house track

A2. Kerri Chandler, Jerome Sydenham - You're In My System feat. Troy Denari (Dennis Quin Instrumental Club Mix) (5:25)
B1. Kerri Chandler, Jerome Sydenham - You're In My System feat. Troy Denari (Dennis Quin Vocal Mix) (6:05)

Short info:
'Lost Spirits' is an exploration in sounds for dancing. Catalysed by the catastrophe that was 2020, Hidden Empire step off the stage and retreat to the studio on a quest to find out what moves the people.
They seem to have found it. One out of the box, this 16 track album is designed for diversity. Hidden Empire oar their creative rudders, lending their hand from techno to deep house with a cheeky reach-around to a more downtempo vibe.
The first three tracks send you down the rabbit hole on a toe-tapping, hip-slapping aural escapade to the heavier edge of techno, the sublime vocals of Artche taking you directly back to those dancefloor moments when time stands still.
Taking the stairs two at a time in polyamorous heels, you’ll fall in love with the sassy, classy, savage vibes of ‘Resurgence’ and ‘Dark Matter’.
Transitioning to a more tribalesque vibe is ‘Organic Train’ a cut which blends the primitive, esoteric influence of the old world with the punchy, industrial sounds of the new world. Continuing on the exploratory sound voyage of downtempo, broken beaten space techno, ‘Mr. P’ stands in the forest listening to the plants talk to the people. Bebetta slips in with her inimitable style in the collectively inspired ‘All of Us’, keeping the Fun Dial turned right up.
Delving deep into the tundra, ‘Hectic Dreams’ become reality as the album turns towards the chunkier end of the musical spectrum. Punching out the bass-heavy bangers like 'Once Upon' (with a cameo from South African slam poet & spoken word artist The Lazarusman), Hidden Empire roll out with a flurry of cuts that are limitless in genre and luminous in effect.
The ‘Lost Spirits’ album is a nod to the certain kind of limitless magic which happens when people come together, without preconceptions, to get lost in the music together.
Packed full of 100% pre-pandemic dance-floor approved cuts, wrap your ears around these tasty morsels, in anticipation of a live show where we can all dance together en masse.
