Minimono - Revolution
Here you have the second EP part of Minimono "Half Way Trough" mini saga.
Bosco050.5 follows the sound of the previous one serving four most exciting electro, italo-disco and acid infected floor burners!
"Run it Back" is a simple and dry tune, has those big cutting edge sounds typical of the early 2000 80's contaminated electro.. perfect for your starting set or in recreating that unique atmosphere.
On the A side follows "Half Way Trough", an effortlessly driving tech-acid house tune, strangely compelling, with a timeless feeling.. looking like an essential weapon for any dancefloor.
B side starts with the spicy electro-disco tune "Over The Machines" epic and functional at the same time with evocative arpeggios and a mechanical vocodered speach.
The Ep ends with the cyberfunk stomper "Revolution" , a twisted electro funk groover in typical Minimono vein.
Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci celebrate this 50th.5 release on Bosconi in great style, remodernising the sound that they used to like when they first met in the early 2000, under the influence of those Berlin labels like Areal, Sender, Festplatten, Funkhaus, Beautycase, Lasergun, Gigolo.. and all of those labels who trademarked the sound of those unforgettable Berlin days.
TRACKLISTS:
A1. Run it Back (6'36")
A2. Half Way Trough (6'22")
B1. Over The Machines (6'54")
B2. Revolution (6'08")

Minimono - Gettin' Gold
Bosconi reaches number 50 milestone on it's main label catalogue and who better than label founders Mimimono could unfold this. Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci come back on their output with this series of two eps forming a mini album named "Half Way Trough" with an intriguing blend of modern electro tech house tunes taking to the next level their concept of moving in between styles. The first ep starts with "Accelerate", an Uk infected tech house tune.. with a distinctly aggressive acid bassline in contrast to the clean synths and bleep sounds.. The result is a floor burner for your peaktime moments on da floor. "Overflow" is more of an hypnotic swing house tune, with some kind of arabic melodies , accompanied by subtle bassline reminding of prince of Persia sounding like environments.. B side starts with "Discorruption", a tribute from Minimono to the electro italo-disco sound , still with their own original approach, where all the arpeggios and synths notes are accompanied by a driving bassline and a funky house groove more typical by the Florentine duo. The record ends with the stylish melodic tech house tune "Getting Gold" where Fabio and Ennio show their ability of condensing melodic elements and synths into a dancefloor track.. for your sugared moments on the floor.
Definitively one to have in your bag.

Bosconi gives a warm welcome to the new sonic adventure by label founder Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci better known together as Minimono.
Setting aside their old school funk injections for the moment, this time they deliver a fresh, crispy and more synthetic set of tracks where all their recent influences are melting together within an original blend of electro funk, deep n proggy tech house dense of catchy arpeggios, tight grooves for the dance floor and trippy fm synths textures condensed into this Binary Pocket EP.
This killer 4 tracker record begins with the smooth journey of "Himself When" through its peaceful mood and driving beat, while second cut named “My Eye On You” goes more into a mental, hectic, broken, acidic and electroish direction. Flip side sees instead the arrival of the arabic and sinister riff of the proto bleep tech track "Please Repeat" and the more spiritual atmosphere of the Nu Era styled jam of "Jacked Pocket" which close up the EP.
All the flavor you need here, Minimono knows how to do it, indeed! More

After first appearing on the label back in 2016, Florence-based Italo house stalwarts Minimono return to Vibraphone with another selection of illustrious dancefloor gems for subtler moments in the dance. "Oldest Friend" is an airy, dreamlike track laden with upper register chords, tones and FX pinging around in a reverie of deep house delight, while "Questions" gets locked into a loose, swinging groove with some mysterious pads swirling around the middle distance for added atmosphere. "Some Day" is a more rugged affair that bumps and wriggles in all the right places, while "Eleven Days" explores broken beat territory without losing the hazy atmosphere that permeates the EP.

Vinyl Only. Fresh from releases on the legendary Vibraphone and Robsoul labels, alongside their own long-running Bosconi imprint, Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci aka Minimono join the Inner Balance family for an EP of four fine house dishes. Each cut gives us a different taste of classic house, from the sharp Melchior shuffle of 'Goblin' to the sweet rhodes and walking bassline of 'On The Edge', which wouldn't sound out of place in the Fair Park catalogue. 'Still Alive' is a light confection of soft pads topped with subtle improvisations, while 'This Side Of The Forest' delivers a more flavoursome Sir Lord Commix-style groove. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Having kicked of 2016 with their firey and funky ‘Buddy My Buddy’ ep, Minimono return to Robsoul with their first for ’17.
Bosconi boys, Fabio and Ennio, never fail to impress with their tight, tidy tools and floor burning house gems. Tracks that are loved for their no nonsense ‘party’ perspective, making them essential to all.
The laidback smoove groove and cut up vocals of ‘Let’em Come’ opens us up, before we’re whisked away by the jitterbug vibe of ‘Know Is Fonk’. The chopped and dropped sample-heavy kicks of ‘Estroverso’ leads the flip before Minimono sign off with the shimmering guitar licks and hungry horns of ‘Junior’.

After “Theory Of Strings (part1)” Ennio Colaci and Fabio Della Torre present the second part! The first track of A-side is the one who gives the title to the whole project, " Theory Of Strings", a dubby groover with a funky and psychedelic feel in the vein of a more coloured and dirtier Studio 1 or Soundhack. The "Feeling good vibe" keeps going relaxed and chill with the smart up and down mood of the track "Forty Degrees" while on B side Minimono get drier, minimalistic and more mysterious with the subtle after-hour jam of Rewind. This strong effort by Fabio and Ennio ends trough the cinematic atmosphere and the romantic piano notes of the gentle but raw closing act "Still Mine". Mind the Strings!

Following the well acclaimed comeback on Bosconi "Gang of Fools EP" and the releases on Robsoul and Vibraphone, Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci aka Minimono strike again with a double release that might be considered as a split album in 2 vinyl records named "Theory Of Strings".First of two Eps starts with the chuggy, jazzy and edgy vibe of "Get The Groove", an intelligent partial rework of an underground disco-not-disco old gem. Second cut gets more funky-filtered, bouncing and suspended with the fresh broken atmosphere of "Back in Dc" .On the B side Fabio and Ennio go back to jazziness adding more broken grooves, some twisted rhodes solo goodness and a persistent hypnotic driving feel to the track "Actually", and then ending this first part with another smooth filtered and toolish winner for the summer called Meningi. Mind the Strings and wait for the second part!

minimono - "Take Your Time"
Minimono delivers an amazingly unsuspected release from the historical Italian Cult label from Rome, Vibraphone Records. We heard Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci back on Bosconi and Robsoul recently with their trademarked funky sound, but this time the Florentine duo goes for more challenging atmospherical and spacey house vibes with this solid four tracker called, in fact, "Next Step": the first track, which gives the title to the EP, is a bouncing and uplifting old-not-nu school deep house gem reminding us of some DIY or Charles Webster mid 90's works; the second track instead, called "Sailing", is definitively more faithful to some true early Italo-house with the heavenly smell of Riviera-sound magic. On the flip side Minimono drops "Suspended", probably the most conceptually modern piece of this vinyl: a deep-driving underwater and cinematic trip through subtle soulful cuts and psychedelic accents. The final cut has a romantic and deeper mood of the Deep Burnt which inspired the closing track, "Take Your Time", because it can be always the time..for a Next Step when Minimono meets The True Underground Sound Of Rome.

Following their live performances at the latest two Dimension Festival Editions and vinyl releases on international labels such as Slices of a dog, Money Sex, Odd socks and Sorry For This featuring a remix by none other than mr. Marcellus Pittman, Nas1 are finally back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with a new album titled Polaris Time. It’s a multi colored sonic adventure, moving from their hip hop and detroit house roots to a new palette of sounds including afro percussions and fresher synth lines blended together into a unique electronic soundscape that creates exotic, psychedelic atmospheres and unconventional, raw midtempo dance-floor tracks. The Album begins with the enchanting ballad of “L’ isola di Serie B” , moving deeper with the spaced out vibe of Domino Skii , landing on the more tropical and frivolous scenarios of “Cicci Briucci” and on the laid-back interlude of “Il Sangue Non Serve A Niente”.
In the beginning of the flip side appears instead the jazzy and uplifting first cut named “Frigo Deca”, followed by the freaky jam of “Come Thru” and the adventurous balearic tune “Hector Savage” ending with the ethereal closing skit “Il Sangue Non Serve A Niente (outro)"
Fans of Kyle Hall, Theo Parrish as well as John Talabot or Nicola Cruz are warned, absolutely not to be missed if you have been following Nas1 music so far.

After releasing the track Chillin at the 6th Floor on the vol 2 of our “The Sweetest” VA, Dj Rou, originally Francesco Zaniboni, chief of L’Archivio record store in Bologna, makes finally his debut with his first full EP on Bosconi Extra Virgin named “Vento EP”. Having released on Cognitiva, Red Rooster and Daphian the sound of Vento EP is a full immersion into two main factors: a strong passion for Jazz and Latin music in line with the love for his three favorite dusty gears Korg Electribe MX, MPC 1000 & his guitar, giving a cosmic and tribal atmospheres still embracing the classic nature of sampling. The record starts with the track which gives the title to the record, “Vento”, where its jacked out beats get enriched by some beautiful, romantic and memorable soulful vocals. After that we find on the second cut the laid-back, summery and deep sexy vibe of “4Phenia” while on the flip side Dj Rou changes directly the mood with the more driving and mysterious atmospheres of “Dante Says Truth”. “Not the Same” close up this release bringing back the smile with its chilled out groove and wicked gospel vocals intrusions,
delivering one the best and warmest example of House a la bolognese.

Bosconi Extra Virgin is proud to launch the first vinyl release by Japanese duo Spangleman formed by Tsukasa Kato and Ataru Nishizaki. Their Brown EP is a 5 tracker of ultra minimalistic and sophisticated house jams!! First cut is "Jimmy", a broken swingy jazzy track with a deep aquatic rhodes and a slap bass, chasing each other all along the track, reminding some of the Trimsound or Tom Ellis early works. Second track of A side goes more straight into an hypnotic deep house track.. which still maintains it's jazzy approach with an original arrangement from beginning to end. The welcoming sound of "Ubi-Quitous" opens the B side, a broken dubby tune reminding early 90's atmospheres a la Nightmares on Wax.. follows up the ultra dry deep after hour track "Illusion" sounding like a real jazz jam with drums and contrabass where a quirky voice appearing from time to time, brings you back to reality! The EP ends with the freaky minimal Chicagoish jam "Chi This Ma" , a puzzle of chopped voice and acid samples stuck together so well like only Akufen could do.. Hard to define a sound for this release, could be Minimal, Detroit Jazzy house.. or more simply just Gentleman's house music!

After a very promising debut almost an year ago with their "Super Quartet EP", Nas1 are backon Bosconi Extra Virgin with another 6 tracker of modern detroit influenced house. The talented duo from Bologna then shows its great technical skills within creating unique grooves: nastier vibes those look like coming from a dirty and dark basement open B side with the dusty, dubby and whirling jam of Rabbit Backbone, while with the following "Seemed" track they keep the mood in the same hypno-delic direction just making everything sweeterand smoother in order to end in a proper way this vinyl with the soulful and joyful downbeat of Seduta. After releasing in the past two years with several projects as Nightdrivers, Tru West and together with Ekkohaus, tireless dj and records collector homeboy Rufus finally strikes back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with his first solo ep since 5 years named “Black & Blues” , a 4 tracker vinyl of moody, sampladelic mpc styled and lunar deep house. The record starts with the dark and mysterious funkiness of Blue&Black, an intricate but fluid dialogue between a carillon, jackin percussions, guitars accents, background voices and a dramatic strings theme which are playing together and rolling all over an irresistible swinging groove. Next is “Sad Eyes” a romantic, bit melancholic, deep but punchy house track enriched by afro latin percussive elements, striking 909 beats and catchy brasilian jazzy vibraphone riffs. On the first cut of the flipside instead you will find the sunrise-discoish-banger called “Cosmic Echoes”, a raw but excellent work of 70s jazzfunk cut up samples and hooks embedded into a triumphal oldschool house groove, while on the second cut, the ep ends with the dubby afterhour styled, quirky, smooth, bubbly, trippy beat of “Cruisin”. Welcome Back Rufus!

After their featuring on Kyle Hall's Boat Party EP, the Bologna based duo Nas1 join the Bosconi Family with a lush six tracks vinyl strongly influenced by contemporary detroit house. A side starts with the chuggin and moody beat of "Black Coffee", then continues with the stomping and sexy midtempo of "I Don't Mind" and ends with the more mysterious, electro boogie raw jam of "Dallas Vertical Roll". On the flip we find the slapped roadhouse blues of MadTurkey followed by the twisted Gifted & Blessed's re-interpretation of "I Don't Mind". The EP ends with the melancholic and soulful textures of the shuffle groover "Hoarse Presence". Tasty!.

Very special release on Bosconi from soulboy Riccio just few months after his astonishing disco burner "Put The Man Out" on the Stallions Compilation and the acclaimed releases on Fly By Night and Slow Town. This time our disco wizard delivers with the track Pretty Eyes, according to us, one of his best piece of music to date! On the borders between 70s disco, hip hop memories and some detroitish deep house, the song is simply based on an ultra catchy sweet and sexy vocal theme plus Riccio's trademark gentle and chunky groove enriched by an excellent choice of 100% organic and cleverly sample based elements as the driving deep rhodes pads and the mesmerizing piano accents which are elevating the atmosphere to an irresistible sunshine mood! …and who could have been the best man to revisit the original track if not the former Slum Village and one of the best Detroit House artist ever named as Andrés ?! What to say…His remix gives a more straight up and raw feel to Riccio's version, his new huge added true sounding bass has a different and totally more pumping character and melody, his new dusty drums are gently banging and definitively making the remix more driving than the original, more loopy and hypnotic. The record ends up with the twisted and disconnected hip hop of Just Clips who shows again Riccio's secret talent within more unconventional beats.. Ready for a pretty Summer?

The collaboration between 3 of the coolest DJs / Producers in Milan, The Barking Dogs and Sapo from The Heels of Love, gives life to a new project called Le Macchine that is literally an afro balearic tropical and psychedelic whirl. The Ep contains 3 tracks and each one of them has a different context, all varying in style and technique: Eternal Sample is an amazingly produced deep spacey disco-techy long trip that has clear influences from Moroder, Vangelis and Lindstrom, Orbita Due instead is an elegant, funky and soulful mixture of italo, house and boogie, while the shuffle of the track "The Edge Of Time" goes through more loopy african and a la steve reich territories ending.
