Following their live performances at the latest two Dimension Festival Editions and vinyl releases on international labels such as Slices of a dog, Money Sex, Odd socks and Sorry For This featuring a remix by none other than mr. Marcellus Pittman, Nas1 are finally back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with a new album titled Polaris Time. It’s a multi colored sonic adventure, moving from their hip hop and detroit house roots to a new palette of sounds including afro percussions and fresher synth lines blended together into a unique electronic soundscape that creates exotic, psychedelic atmospheres and unconventional, raw midtempo dance-floor tracks. The Album begins with the enchanting ballad of “L’ isola di Serie B” , moving deeper with the spaced out vibe of Domino Skii , landing on the more tropical and frivolous scenarios of “Cicci Briucci” and on the laid-back interlude of “Il Sangue Non Serve A Niente”.
In the beginning of the flip side appears instead the jazzy and uplifting first cut named “Frigo Deca”, followed by the freaky jam of “Come Thru” and the adventurous balearic tune “Hector Savage” ending with the ethereal closing skit “Il Sangue Non Serve A Niente (outro)"
Fans of Kyle Hall, Theo Parrish as well as John Talabot or Nicola Cruz are warned, absolutely not to be missed if you have been following Nas1 music so far.

The talented duo from Bologna then shows its great technical skills within creating unique grooves: nastier vibes those look like coming from a dirty and dark basement open B side with the dusty, dubby and whirling jam of Rabbit Backbone, while with the following "Seemed" track they keep the mood in the same hypno-delic direction just making everything sweeterand smoother in order to end in a proper way this vinyl with the soulful and joyful downbeat of Seduta. After releasing the track Chillin at the 6th Floor on the vol 2 of our “The Sweetest” VA, Dj Rou, originally Francesco Zaniboni, chief of L’Archivio record store in Bologna, makes finally his debut with his first full EP on Bosconi Extra Virgin named “Vento EP”. Having released on Cognitiva, Red Rooster and Daphian the sound of Vento EP is a full immersion into two main factors: a strong passion for Jazz and Latin music in line with the love for his three favorite dusty gears Korg Electribe MX, MPC 1000 & his guitar, giving a cosmic and tribal atmospheres still embracing the classic nature of sampling. The record starts with the track which gives the title to the record, “Vento”, where its jacked out beats get enriched by some beautiful, romantic and memorable soulful vocals. After that we find on the second cut the laid-back, summery and deep sexy vibe of “4Phenia” while on the flip side Dj Rou changes directly the mood with the more driving and mysterious atmospheres of “Dante Says Truth”. “Not the Same” close up this release bringing back the smile with its chilled out groove and wicked gospel vocals intrusions,
delivering one the best and warmest example of House a la bolognese.

After the last acclaimed Pretty Eyes EP, and releases on Slow Town, Fly By Night and Messalina “Don” Riccio is back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with a new four tracker EP fully inspired by his new residence in the middle of the mediterranean sea and where all his palette of different styles has been included. The record begins with the romantic vibe of the deep house and jazz-fusion oriented tune "Here You Are" , followed by the mid tempo jam of "Marcela" where its guitar notes will take your mind and your soul really so far to another level, then on the flipside a more balearic approach and a joyful-motwonish mood for the disco track "Please", as you will imagine yourself dancing on a ring around the rosey holding your hands with each other, praying as a hymn for peace and love in the whole world, while the mysterious vibe of the rolling late-night house groover "Tessie" closes up the EP with its shifting jazzy rhodes riffs, dramatic strings and cinematic atmosphere. Bosconi Extra Virgin is proud to launch the first vinyl release by Japanese duo Spangleman formed by Tsukasa Kato and Ataru Nishizaki. Their Brown EP is a 5 tracker of ultra minimalistic and sophisticated house jams!! First cut is "Jimmy", a broken swingy jazzy track with a deep aquatic rhodes and a slap bass, chasing each other all along the track, reminding some of the Trimsound or Tom Ellis early works. Second track of A side goes more straight into an hypnotic deep house track.. which still maintains it's jazzy approach with an original arrangement from beginning to end. The welcoming sound of "Ubi-Quitous" opens the B side, a broken dubby tune reminding early 90's atmospheres a la Nightmares on Wax.. follows up the ultra dry deep after hour track "Illusion" sounding like a real jazz jam with drums and contrabass where a quirky voice appearing from time to time, brings you back to reality! The EP ends with the freaky minimal Chicagoish jam "Chi This Ma" , a puzzle of chopped voice and acid samples stuck together so well like only Akufen could do.. Hard to define a sound for this release, could be Minimal, Detroit Jazzy house.. or more simply just Gentleman's house music!

After releasing in the past two years with several projects as Nightdrivers, Tru West and together with Ekkohaus, tireless dj and records collector homeboy Rufus finally strikes back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with his first solo ep since 5 years named “Black & Blues” , a 4 tracker vinyl of moody, sampladelic mpc styled and lunar deep house. The record starts with the dark and mysterious funkiness of Blue&Black, an intricate but fluid dialogue between a carillon, jackin percussions, guitars accents, background voices and a dramatic strings theme which are playing together and rolling all over an irresistible swinging groove. Next is “Sad Eyes” a romantic, bit melancholic, deep but punchy house track enriched by afro latin percussive elements, striking 909 beats and catchy brasilian jazzy vibraphone riffs. On the first cut of the flipside instead you will find the sunrise-discoish-banger called “Cosmic Echoes”, a raw but excellent work of 70s jazzfunk cut up samples and hooks embedded into a triumphal oldschool house groove, while on the second cut, the ep ends with the dubby afterhour styled, quirky, smooth, bubbly, trippy beat of “Cruisin”. Welcome Back Rufus!

Very special release on Bosconi from soulboy Riccio just few months after his astonishing disco burner "Put The Man Out" on the Stallions Compilation and the acclaimed releases on Fly By Night and Slow Town. This time our disco wizard delivers with the track Pretty Eyes, according to us, one of his best piece of music to date! On the borders between 70s disco, hip hop memories and some detroitish deep house, the song is simply based on an ultra catchy sweet and sexy vocal theme plus Riccio's trademark gentle and chunky groove enriched by an excellent choice of 100% organic and cleverly sample based elements as the driving deep rhodes pads and the mesmerizing piano accents which are elevating the atmosphere to an irresistible sunshine mood! …and who could have been the best man to revisit the original track if not the former Slum Village and one of the best Detroit House artist ever named as Andrés ?! What to say…His remix gives a more straight up and raw feel to Riccio's version, his new huge added true sounding bass has a different and totally more pumping character and melody, his new dusty drums are gently banging and definitively making the remix more driving than the original, more loopy and hypnotic. The record ends up with the twisted and disconnected hip hop of Just Clips who shows again Riccio's secret talent within more unconventional beats.. Ready for a pretty Summer?

The collaboration between 3 of the coolest DJs / Producers in Milan, The Barking Dogs and Sapo from The Heels of Love, gives life to a new project called Le Macchine that is literally an afro balearic tropical and psychedelic whirl. The Ep contains 3 tracks and each one of them has a different context, all varying in style and technique: Eternal Sample is an amazingly produced deep spacey disco-techy long trip that has clear influences from Moroder, Vangelis and Lindstrom, Orbita Due instead is an elegant, funky and soulful mixture of italo, house and boogie, while the shuffle of the track "The Edge Of Time" goes through more loopy african and a la steve reich territories ending.

The original, the second release on the label Harthouse at the time, is an all-time classic and went down in the music history of Frankfurt. Thirty years later, the track by Sven Väth and A.C. Boutsen has not lost its shine and will certainly continue to provide goosebump moments.
Techno is all too often described as timeless but while most of it eventually evaporates into the ether, there are some riffs, melodies, and breakdowns that remain etched into our collective consciousness forever. Legendary Frankfurt label Harthouse is home to more than its fair share of such moments, but you must go all the way back to 1992, the opening strains of the Metal Master classic ‘Spectrum’ to locate the source for this special single-sided remix release.
The common denominator and catalyst to all this is of course Sven Väth, co-creator of ‘Spectrum’ and founder of both Harthouse and Cocoon Recordings, while the independent variables in the equation are Bart Skils and Weska, who lend their considerable talent and vision to this sublime makeover.
Coming on like rolling thunder, sparks fly immediately as crackling vocoder licks, silky ride cymbals and soaring arpeggios build an atmosphere taut with anticipation before giving way to that iconic melody - a love letter from Frankfurt to Ibiza, wrought from metal, drenched in distortion yet pulling at the heartstrings - the perfect soundtrack to any chemical sunrise.
It‘s a powerful re-interpretation that pays the warmest respects to the original and, despite the relentless groove, there is still room for sentimentality - an invitation to momentarily pause for thought and reflect on the journey so far as the sumptuous breakdown washes over the dance-floor. But not for long, the simmering bass line soon emerges from the euphoria and the track kicks in again, driving us forward towards a new, uncharted spectrum of possibilities.

Hot on the heels of AUS' recent releases from Breach, Huxley and Bwana they ready their next offering from Irish duo and long term label affiliates Bicep. Aptly timed for the festival months, their 'Just' EP follows up a series of self-released titles which include collaborations with Ebony and Midland and is an impassioned bundle of broken beats, shimmering synth lines and rapturous piano chords. The title track kicks things off and suffuses a broken kick and snare combo with a poignant sequence and heart-rending synth strings. A vocal refrain drops in and out throughout a lucent breakdown before () lays a soft, filtered croon over a swelling piano motif. Tracklist: 1. (A1) Fear Of An Extra Planet (Black Out) 2. (B1) Hail the Whale
Info:
Finally, the long awaited third part of the EXTRAWELT trilogy on Cocoon Recordings is on the way, and with this advance 12" release of "Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout)" and "Hail The Whale" we are given an incredibly strong first impression of EXTRAWELT's third Album. ??"Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout)" in particular, has the potential to become a monumental club hit. The title track from the new EXTRAWELT album is, strictly speaking, more than just a maxi-version, it's almost a separate EXTRAWELT remix of the original, fully optimized for the clubs. Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have let loose a real bass and drum monster on us. From the very first second, the doubled-up kick bursts from the bassbins to signal the journey into this new EXTRAWELT adventure is underway. The acid-heavy bassline completes the pressure-packed arrangement until the track suddenly stops dead. Sometimes it's just so simple and effective to completely hit the brakes before re-energizing and building up to full speed again. The 12" version of "Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout) "is a powerful techno bomb and for us - one of the highlights of the year!? ?The exclusive, non-album cut "Hail the Whale", starts off a little more subdued. However, the cool old-skool cowbell intro with light Chicago house touches soon develops an energy through a driving electro bassline that shakes us from the initial calm. Although "Hail the Whale" doesn't appear on the album, it perfectly represents the science fiction sound aesthetics on EXTRAWELT's new LP. Sci-fi FX, distorted vocals and dramatic synth lines envelop us in an extremely intense soundtrack atmosphere. From warp speed space travel to misty wastelands on strange planets and breathtaking pursuit scenes, "Hail the Whale" conjures up all manner of images as it hammers from the speakers. To be honest, the notion of "grand cinema" has already been used too often but in this case it just fits! We are primed and we are ready for the new EXTRAWELT!

Hungry for biscuits? Look no further, as the third batch of Disco Biscuits is fresh out of the oven at Luv Shack headquarters! On the A side we have Lee Stevens “Theme forDisco Biscuits” , a modern Italo stomper with heavy synth work and delicious sprinkles of breakbeat, sitting alongside Endrik Schröders „Infinity“, an ecstatic, upbeat Synth-Disco hybrid that is generously coated in syrup made from 80s Hi-Energy and earlynineties scandinavian Disco. Sound Support - The Rock
Tracklist 12":
A1) Higher
A2) Bump Into You
B1) Work 2 It
B2) The Rock
Release Info:
Toy Tonics presents a new producer team: Sound Support consists of two enthusiastic synth and house aficionados that everybody knows (in the scene): Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (keyboard wizard and producer genius).
Together they are doing extremely groovy, jazz infected dance music that connects the good things of 1990ies house with the indie disco of the 2000s.
Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode connected through their mutual love for all things musically unusual. After years of having worked together on several projects, such as the Dam Swindle live show, they finally got around to making music together. The result has been nothing less than an avalanche of tracks, mostly made in 4 day coffee fueled studio sessions in Lorenz’ studio in Cologne. All reminding the big funk house tracks of the early 2000s. Yes a lot of Daft Punk is here, A lot of NYC disco influences. Larry Levan and Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey and Masters at Work.. all influences on this record.
After their first two Sound Support EP’s on Prins Thomas’ label, Internasjonal, they’ve ventured out to House of Disco and other labels with a wide array of immensely enjoyable synth heavy tracks. 2023 sees these two venture more into house territory with releases on AUS music and Toy Tonics, two labels that have cemented themselves deeply into the underground scene. In any case, it’s clear that Sound Support have found its signature sound and there is much more of that to look forward to. Toy Tonics is the key label for the wildstyle house scene and Sound Support fit perfectly. Welcome!
